Expérience fantastique: This is one of the best places to swim but the worst part is the water is hot

Expérience négative: The volleyball net wasn’t functional. One of the post was broken and literally didn’t work at all. Not mention of this when renting the gym out. It also wouldn’t tighten so it was dipping down the whole time. It was barely taller than a tennis net.

Expérience positive: Lots of activities/camps for youth. Rest of facilities look nice as well. Clean etc.

Expérience fantastique: Great place for workouts and swims. I've spent a lot of time here both on my own and with my family. There's a weight room, cardio-fitness room, an indoor track, laps pool, splash pad, and waterslide. Change rooms and washrooms are clean and everything is well maintained. They offer memberships of various lengths, as well as the option to prepay for a set number of swim passes at a discount.

Expérience fantastique: In terms of our health, wellbeing and sense of community connection, where would we be without the Summit center?! It's an essential resource for our community. And I cannot emphasize this enough - if we had more recreation centres, we'd need fewer hospitals and other types of treatment centres.

Expérience fantastique: We had an issue come up with my sons swimming lessons and it was quickly taken care of by the staff. Christina worked hard to help us. We are very satisfied with the lessons, the staff, and the facility!

Expérience négative: Found dressing room was very dirty. Only had the small “leisure “ pool open for use ( which in my opinion is a kiddie pool). Definitely won’t be returning.

Expérience négative: Love this place. It is always clean and well kept. The staff are friendly and the lifeguards professional. But the water is always cold. We go for the parent and tot swim and the kids teeth are chattering.

Expérience positive: Decent facilities just wish people would take the time to wipe things down after they use them. I imagine the summit center would prefer slightly tarnished dumbells over a covid outbreak ‍♀️. No gym is immune to people ignoring the rules.

Expérience positive: The Summit Centre is a breath of fresh air in an area of Newfoundland being sufficated by over priced non negotiable contract type gyms. You can pay a reasonable month-to-month price, or pay for a year membership to save even more money! They have great equipment and space that will suite any workout. The staff is very kind and accommodating. Deffinintly would recommend if your looking for a clean and affordable gym with no contract obligations and cancelation fees.

Expérience négative: The leisure pool is much too cold for small children. After it being too cold for my daughter I checked with lifeguard and facilities staff to see what temperature they keep it at. It turns out the temperature is kept several degrees below the minimum temperature recommendation by the World Health Organization for kiddy pools to prevent hypothermia in really small children. I emailed facilities with references from the WHO and other health and aquatic lifestyle organizations and explained I am a power engineer with a background in heat exchangers, cooling towers and both potable and non potable water treatment. Understand that I’m qualified to operate and maintain the heating plant they use for the entire building. That was a year ago an I never got a reply which is unprofessional at best and willfully negligent at worst. I tried again today with my daughter now that she is a year older and she was still shivering and her fingers were turning blue after a few minutes. She loves other pools like the Aquarena but said “my face is chattering” after about 5 minutes and after another 5 minutes we had to get out because her whole body was shaking and she was in discomfort. It’s really disappointing because other than the temperature the facility is really great. This appears to be a cost saving measure and I question whether they fully understand the risk this poses to really small children.

Expérience positive: friendly staff, excellent facilities but a mediocre weight room. it's usually over crowded, and nobody ever wipes down the equipment. yikes. that said, the rest of the summit center is pretty top notch.

Expérience fantastique: Nice clean modern facility, with many activities to attend. Nice pool , with especially nice area for smaller children, that includes a splash pad. Child took swimming lessons there which , he seemed to really enjoy and benefit from.

Expérience fantastique: Paul Renyolds center is my first choice for the pool, this is a close second. Other facilities, however, are superior here.

Expérience positive: Nice pool and splash pad and great party room with lots of space. Shower area (ladies) smelled of urine and didn't seem to be well maintained for a fairly new facility. Family locker room is bit small and tends to be crowded. With a bit a bit of care and cleaning in the locker rooms, would be 4 stars.

Expérience positive: Great place to swim, loads of room great seating area but can be a little warm. kids swimming lessons are great but can be hard to get into !!

Expérience positive: Love the family change rooms. My 3.5 year old takes swimming lessons here and we go to family swims as well. The leisure pool can be a bit chilly if they have had a swim meet recently or will be having one soon. I believe they cool it down for those occasions as they use it for a warm up pool.

Expérience fantastique: My 13 year old daughter wanted to go to the gym. At first I was contemplating about letting my little baby going to the gym with all the adults around working out, but once I saw the summit centre, I had a change of heart . The staff are so sweet and so kind toward kids and the equipment is clean and is a safe environment for young teens who want to start to be active and healthy !!! If your teen want to work out then this is the place for them . With a safe environment and awesome staff every time I drop them off I feel good inside and now my 13 year old daughter goes every other day with her friends . This is a fun thig for her and is active . Just think about it this way , would you rather your kids working out and getting fit or being lazy on the couch with there phone up to there face or even out doing inappropriate things . This has made a big difference in my daughters life and I would love to see more teens at the summit when I drop my 13 year old girl off !!!

Expérience positive: Love their evening swims on Monday and Wednesday. Wish the music were better quality, or lower volume, but that's the aqua fitness and Zumba, so I don't expect it to change.
