Expérience négative: I’m writing a very fact based review so people are educated on what they’re dealing with when joining this gym. As far as the facility, The gym is relatively clean, theres decent equipment, it’s 24 hour access, and it’s never super busy even at peak time. However, there’s only 3 bathrooms, no showers, and no regular staff so you’re left to deal with the owner who is highly unprofessional. I have brought many friends with me to the facility and attempted to bring others. 2 of my friends arranged a time to come view the gym as there is no regular staff during day hours. The owner did not show up on the first attempt to view. They arranged a second time, only for the owner not to show up again. They messaged him after 20 mins while in the parking lot, only for him to respond explaining that he fell asleep and forgot. He still didn’t bother coming. They obviously did not back for a 3rd attempt. In addition, I had a friend enquire about canceling his membership and asked what his options were as he was wondering if it was possible to avoid paying the additional $99 cancellation fee (clearly stated in an email). The owner straight up cancelled his membership (despite asking only for options) and proceeded to charge him the fee anyways and stopped responding to his emails. Again, highly unprofessional and petty. Finally, unlike other gyms, the cancellation policy is wrote in a very manipulative way to rope you into having to give 2 months notice. I have had memberships at almost every commercial gym in the city and others out of province, I have never seen a cancellation policy like this. Be sure are aware of the policy when you read the contract so you give 2 months notice in advance of cancellation. I don’t recommend this facility.

Expérience fantastique: I've been a member of this gym for many years. The owner Kristian is always working to bring in the best equipment and provide a welcoming environment. I would recommend this gym to people new to lifting as well as seasoned veterans of the sport.

Expérience fantastique: Fantastic gym. I've been away from the gym far too long. Kristian, the owner is great to talk to, gave me a walk through and some great tips on cardio and weights to use to get back on track. AND! the place is spotless, well cared for. Highly recommend.

Expérience fantastique: Kristian's gym is a well run family business. I was a member for several years. Kristian gave me proper direction, and (re)orientated my weight lifting routine. For years, l was mis-using " cheats" that had become my routine. Kristian observed my ' technique' then demonstrated the correct way to use machines, bench, squat cage. I have seen him doing the same for plenty of other folks. At Inshape, you aren't just another client, you are a member. Kristian is an engaging individual with a comprehensive understanding of training to meet your goals. He will help you to identify what your goals are, even when you don't know what it is you want. Next he'll take the time to walk you through the best routine to achieve your goals. If l was still living in St John's, l would be an Inshape gym member.

Expérience fantastique: Had a rocky start at beginning with communication.. could be that I was joining for first time and alone and I was bit impatient and afraid I would use any excuse not to go through with it .But since then owner reached out and I'm now a gym member and found him to be very kind, patient and knowledgeable.
