Expérience négative: Was a great gym then it sold new owner doesn't seem to care. And price has gone up i don't mind to pay more but give us the services.

Expérience négative: En tant que membre depuis 15 ans, cela me donne le cœur lourd de décrire l’état actuel de l’établissement. Hygiène : Bien que des stations de nettoyage soient installées un peu partout dans la salle d'entraînement, de nombreuses stations manquent de vaporisateur. Il m'arrive souvent de devoir me déplacer pour en trouver une fonctionnelle. Une fois arrivé, je reste incertain de la propreté des serviettes. D’autre part au vestiaire, le dessous des cloisons de toilettes contient des traces de… moisissure? Celles-ci ne sont pas plaisants à regarder ni d’être présent en risque de contamination. Aux urinoirs, il y en a deux et les poignées pour le chasse d’eau ne fonctionnent pas. Donc, la source des odeurs nocives est très logique. Au prochain point, les distributeurs de savon sont souvent vides ou dilués avec de l’eau. Il y a quatre lavabos, mais seulement deux qui fonctionnent. Ces enjeux rendent l’hygiène post-entraînement difficile, ce qui est inacceptable pour un établissement qui se veut propre et professionnel. Bref, ma déception sur la négligence salubrité est d’autant plus grande face que l’état actuel des installations. Environnement : Durant tout l'été, la température et l’humidité du gym sont restés intolérables. L’absence de l’air climatisé et le manque de circulation d’air rendait mes entraînements vraiment difficiles et j’ai été proche à m’évanouir. Malgré une pétition signée par plusieurs membres pour l’amélioration de l’environnement… cela s’est fini au vidange. En résumé, chapeau et médaille d’or 2024 pour l’insalubrité et le refus d’écoute de vos clientèles de longue date. Leur site web ne fonctionne plus, donc je m’en douterai de l’espérance de vie de cet établissement.

Expérience négative: Ça fait 12 ans que je viens ici. Depuis le nouveau propriétaire le prix a doublé… et le plus important: l’air climatisé ne fonctionne pas. (Besoin d’entretien) Si finalement on change la situation je vais retirer ma critique. Bon le site internet est down maintenant lol

Expérience fantastique: Love the equipment. The staff is very friendly. I’ve been going for almost 4 years and powerflex never disappoints!

Expérience négative: disgusting gym, top tier equipment that is all deteriorating due to poor management. poor ventilation and cheap owner cant use the ac for anything below 24. the toilet and gym stinks. Been going here for 2 years and this seems to be the down fall of powerflex. it is starting to transform into éconofitness. GO TO WORLD GYM best gym in SL right now clean renovated and good equipment with good boxing bags

Expérience négative: Have been going to this gym for more than five years, unfortunately cleanliness has gone downhill recently, water leaking in the bathroom and no one to fix it or even put up a slippery sign. Way too hot and humid. Equipment mostly worn out or broken for months. Will not renew my membership.

Expérience négative: The gym is disgusting. There's no cleaner, the cleaning towels are not washed, and the washrooms smell and look horrible. Just avoid this place, it's a health hazard.

Expérience négative: I am just so sick of the hygiene level of this gym. Its hella dusty, and dirty, and the owner refuses to even keep a healthy ventilation/temperature level in this heat. Its hot, its humid, there is no air circulation, you can see everyone here complain about it and suffer from it. Setting can not be changed. The gym membership is not on the cheap side at all (40~$ a month), there is no excuses, you get cleaner facilities and better AC at econo or even buzzfit. Only perk of this gym is the traffic level. Edit1: They finally replaced the broken hand dryer with a brown paper dispenser. The dispenser has been empty since then. Clearly shows that no one passes by to quality check lol. They are also increasing their price on January, be aware. Edit2: They finally started to fill the brown paper dispenser. 50/50 chance of being empty or filled at the moment, the place got repainted and hygiene is slowly improving. From 1 to 2 stars for now. Hygiene still needs improvement, especially the machine/weights/equipments, feel like they are never washed, the air vent of the cardiomachines is half blocked with dust bunnies, disgusting! The fire hose at the ceiling of the locker rooms, the nest of all dusts. The gym would deserve 4 stars the moment they replace all those public rags available to clean the machine and station, they are more dirty than the machine and equipment itself. If Econo, World and Buzz can provide disposable paper to clean the place, you guys can too (it will also encourage people to actually freaking clean the equipment instead of that community sweat-damped overused towel that no one wants to touch. Cleaner equipment = better hygiene = less work for your janitor [if he even clean the equipments or not], win win). Edit 3: Brown paper are available aprox 25% of the time. Worst than expected. Hygiene improved... but their ventilation/AC is horrible. Its still hot and humid, unchanged since last year, there is just no proper ventilation, unacceptable climate when it is 30+ degree celcius outside with humidity. Increase the airflow or reduce the temperature, training is unbearable!! Edit 4: Back to 1 star for the owner'a accommodating the wrong people (refused to drop the temperature because some people were cold). Temperature outside is 30, with a Humidex of 65%. Temperature of the gym set: 75f (24 celsius) humidex 70%+. No wind flow. Everyone, literally everyone is complaining and suffering, but the owner adamantly refuses to have a healthy environment to work out. What are we all paying 35$+ for? To cheap out on AC? lol. A man had to stop his cardio midway because it was too hot and stuffy, mentioned he was going to faint. Edit 5: Apparently the reason of the AC changed from accomodating the wrong person to the AC unit of the building being broken. Every week, I get the same answer that someone is coming to fix it. Its been months now, and the same AC issue existed since last year when he took over. AC broken for 2 years in a row? Maintenance guy has a turnaround time of 700+ business days or what? Lol. I guess after 5+ years of coming here, it is time to change gym.

Expérience positive: It's my gym Since I stepped in St Laurent, more an old school gym, then those fency new high tech equipped Gyms. However there is still a wide room for improvement especially in the changing rooms. Update: there are several machines/ equipment that require quick maintenance, hopefully it will be taken seriously by the management..

Expérience négative: Worst gym ever for $190 for 3 months, thats about 65 per month. Washrooms stinks of actual piss. Oldest machines that you could find anywhere. Even $15 gyms are better than this. Staff is gery unprofessional, the reception desk is empty almost every time. And the access card that they give takes them 2 days to make and is a cheap plastic laminated card. All in all HORRIBLE GYM !

Expérience fantastique: As a personal trainer, I’ve been to many gyms. This one has to be one the best gym for me. Very neighborhood environment which is welcoming. Ive been a member since January. Not planning on switching gyms.

Expérience positive: After 2 years of training at home I decided to enlist to the gym. I've been going to Gym Powerflex since july now. Everyone is nice and cordial. They have a lot of machines and equipement and I rarely have to wait for one. Only downside is they really need to repair their plumbing, couple of times urinals were out of order, some toilettes too. Dont know if its a problem with the owner of the building or something though. But I would definitly recommend.

Expérience négative: Horrible. The machines has never been repaired button's are missing . No updates just the prices keep going up. Over priced. Dirty. New management is awful only cares about makin money. Have been at the gym since it began and left . The gym needs more than a paint job. Update your equipment. Fix what's broken and respect ur clients they have been there longer than you.

Expérience négative: Been training here for many years. Last year, the gym got sold. Since then, there has been a decline in the quality of the facilities and service. Machines break and stay unfixed for days at a time, staff members sometimes forget to open the place at 5 a.m., weights are left strewn about and misplaced everywhere, the bathrooms are not cleaned regularly. The list goes on. Meanwhile, membership fees have risen sharply and have prompted several long-time regulars to go to other gyms. Hopefully, management wakes up and starts taking better care of this place.

Expérience négative: Je n’ai pas aimé mon expérience du tout !!!! Didn’t like it at all !!!!!!! Constater l’états des lieu !!!! You will quickly notice what’s wrong with the place !

Expérience positive: Je vais commencer pars le négatif avant de me tirer vers le positif. La raison pour laquelle j’ai juste mis 3 étoiles plutôt que 5 cars la Gym est vraiment Top est le Jeune homme a l’accueil, celui qui est gros , il a un comportement très désagréable, ne salue pas est désagréable dans les réponses et le body language n’a pas l’air d’aimer son boulot. Mais il travaille dans un Gym qui est un lieu de partage et bon humeur certains y viennent cars ils veulent encaisser les coups de la vie ce comportement désinvolte est très inacceptable et il était ma première impression de ce gymnase et forcément restera quelques part quand je pense au gym. La GYM en elle même est vraiment bien j’encouragerai n’importe qui a venir ici, ils ont une variété de machine et la communauté est vraiment gentille et sympa, machine un peu veille mais ça fait totalement l’affaire cars y a beaucoup de variétés.

Expérience fantastique: Je ne comprends pas les gens qui ne mettent pas des bons commentaires Je m’entraîne à ce gym depuis maintenant 13 ans La variété et la quantité de machines est incroyable. Le gym est bien entretenu. Oui, le nouveau propriétaire a monté le prix, mais le tarif demeure très compétitif pour un gym de ce calibre. De plus, il a réparé toutes les machines et changé le cuir sur les tous les bench et toutes les machines. Il commande du nouveau matériel et machines d’entraînement et prend à cœur les commentaires de ses clients. Il y a une salle multi, des entraîneurs certifiés, un bar santé… J’ai essayé le CEPSUM, l’econofitness, et le nautilus, mais je reviens toujours vers powerflex pour toutes les raisons énumérées ci-haut, pour l’esprit d’entraide et l’ambiance qui y règne

Expérience négative: Already two weeks into 2023 January and still no promotional price. New owner only cares about money, not community. Management has gone down the drain when old owner sold the gym.

Expérience positive: I've been to a few gyms and I never had any problems with anybody till this one. I was at powerflex for a few years. It's alright. Good equipment brand. There's this young chubby fat man-child staff with glasses who has been disrespectful and always in his down mood. Everytime I ask him a question, he just gives off a hostile vibe. One day, he starts accusing me of something in french which i do not understand and tries acting tough on me inside the gym for a couple minutes till another lady translated for me outside. The guy is just a big soft teddy bear abusing his power of position. I tell him to go outside, he won't. Also he takes up a machine for 30 minutes and looks at his cell phone maybe doing 1 or 2 sets. I asked him if hes finished soon, he gives a disrespectful response again. Avoid that 2faced douchebag. Other than that, the rest of the staff were very sociable.

Expérience fantastique: Came here on a day pass while visiting town. Big gym, well equipped, good pricing. Friendly staff. Reading through the reviews I see a few people gave it 1 star. That's not fair.

Expérience négative: It's really nice gym they have a big variety of weights and machines. Plus they are open late. Negative parts are it's not very clean they offer towels and disinfectant to clean the machines. The towels are not changed often enough I would have opted for disinfected wipes instead instead of a towel that's collecting bacteria all day no one wants to touch that. A towel being used more than once is spreading germs more than it's cleaning. Gross. The woman's lockers and bathroom is always dirty and disgusting. Maybe invest in cleanliness a little more. The ventilation is not that great it's super hot and you can smell other people's BO when you're trying to workout. They don't even have a interact machine to take payments they only take cash or transfers plus they charge you taxes. Go figure. I honesty don't get it this gym is not that cheap yet it's not being properly maintained. Other gyms that cost less are in better condition than this gym so what the excuse here ? Greed or just laziness or we stopped caring about are customers? If you must attend this gym I suggest you bring your own wipes and do change in the lockers.

Expérience positive: It's honestly the gym where I've felt most comfortable in everyone I've tried. Everyone is respectful and friendly which gives off a familiar atmosphere. The 4 stars is simply because most of the equipment is dated and because the isn't much room for floor exercises. They have a lot of equipment which is a pro, but the spaces in between are cramped. That being said, I love my gym and it never crossed my mind to consider another gym because of it.

Expérience négative: didn't get my leftover months after lockdown which is ILLEGAL the owner was very rude and ignorant.Their prices are NOT cheap I was just going there out of convenience but econo is much cheaper and honestly better because I know it's not owned by a bunch of frauds.

An affordable gym turned into an expensive one with no additional services to back the premium hike - only looking to maximize profits over the community’s well-being. Lack of sanitary maintenance and the clientele’s feedbacks are ignored. It is truly saddening to see. ————————————————————— My second home. Been a member for a little over half a decade now (from my mid-late high school years to university.) Friendly staff and clean gym. All I request now is to bring some clothing merch back to proudly rep the gym!

It does not feel like a typical gym where you go in train and leave right away. Everyone says hi and tries to help you out if you need a hand or have any fitness related questions. Many members have been going to Powerflex for over 20 years!
