We prepaid for few personal training sessions and informed them 30days before to cancel the renewal for personal training after our prepaid sessions done. They said they cancelled our personal training sessions but still they charged us even after cancellation.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been training with Joe Thomas at Crunch Fitness for several months now, and I can confidently say he’s one of the best trainers I’ve ever had. His thoughtful approach and dedication to my wife and my progress are truly commendable. One of the things I appreciate most about Joe is his ability to tailor workouts to my specific needs. With an injured shoulder, I was initially hesitant about returning to the gym. However, under Joe's guidance, I’ve seen significant improvement in both strength and mobility. He’s always mindful of our limitations while encouraging us to push our boundaries. Joe’s knowledge and expertise are impressive. He has a great ability to explain complex exercises and answer any questions we have. His positive and friendly personality makes it easy to connect with him and enjoy our workouts. If you’re looking for a trainer who is knowledgeable, motivating, and cares about your success, I highly recommend Joe. He’s a great asset for the Waterloo Crunch Fitness team.

Expérience positive: I would rate it higher if the machines weren't constantly in need of repair, taking a month to get fixed each time.
Expérience fantastique: Nice open space, friendly staff, affordable pricing and a good selection of group classes. It is certainly worth the money, just bare in mind that rush hour can be a bit hectic.
Expérience négative: Scam company, I already updated my new credit card to the staff before due day, but they still charged me late payment $45 without any notification. My friend also had the same problem with overcharging for personal training fee.
Expérience fantastique: I recently joined the gym and was trying to go with friends and on my own. I honestly felt very overwhelmed and intimidated by all the machines and being older was scared I was going to use them wrong. I was signed up for one of the free personal training sessions, and honestly going into it I had no expectations of actually signing up for them. But that first session honestly changed my mind, I was signed up with Dana and she was amazing. I definitely was not using my time there effectively and had the best workout since I had joined. I then doubled down and signed up for more. Dana has been just great every step of the way always pushing me to do more than I actually think I’m capable of. I would definitely recommend her to anyone! I have a lot of fun getting healthier!
Expérience fantastique: My personal trainer Dana has made me feel so welcome and comfortable at this gym. She’s supportive, pushes me to achieve my goals, and always makes me feel good about myself. She has helped me, someone who is completely un-athletic, learn healthy and sustainable habits.
Expérience fantastique: I have been working out with Dana ( Personal Trainer) for almost 2 months now. She’s such a funny and out going personal trainer. I love having her and look forward to our sessions! I see progress already and can’t wait to see more results.
Expérience négative: Yesterday I went to studio room for exercise, Crunch employee said I can’t use this room as there was a class going on there, Firstly she was rude to me and my friend that was not a professional approach and no one informed us about that we can’t use that room during classes. Secondly, there are only 6 people working out there, they are hardly using only 1/3 space of the studio room. My suggestion is that the rest of the room was free and can be given to other crunch members for exercise what is wrong in it. I checked the schedule they have classes everyday from 8-10 am and I usually come at this time that mean i will never be able to use that room in future.
Expérience fantastique: Staff is always very friendly. Good atmosphere. Really enjoy the Hiit zone classes.
Expérience négative: I see now that so many people had issues with their cancellation process. Even I informed that I want to cancel my membership and I thought it would be cancelled and they were still charging me Infact, later they told me that it will get renewed so I have to pay the yearly fee as well even if I’m going in person to cancel it and have not used it for more than 8 months. I don’t want to pay for the services I have not been using. They keep spamming my phone for yearly payment as I removed them from my autopay from debit but I guess I’ll just pay it off and please there are ton of other good gyms.
Expérience fantastique: I love this gym, there is a great personal working on it. I am satisfied with my personal training and the results. I have a great trainer Hemangi, She is so pacien, so careful with my routine, always making shure I do it the right way.

Expérience négative: Crunch is all great until they allow a man who thinks they are a woman into the women's CHANGING ROOM. Do not come here. They do not respect the privacy and safety of BIOLOGICAL WOMEN.
Expérience positive: I like the gym but it doesn't matter what area you go it is always all men's sports channels even in the women's area. 10+ tvs at the treadmills and all men's sports. Can we not have some news or women's shows?
Expérience fantastique: Best Crunch location in the Tri-Cities. Cleanliness, Equipment repair time. I switch up all locations and this is by far the least body odourous location. People are mindful, and respectful.
Expérience négative: This gym is allowing a biological men in the women's changeroom, and women's area. This is so sad to see they have no firm policy written about biological men using biological women's bathrooms. They do not care about the comfort and security of real biological women. Most of the staff are with the whole if he identifies as a women he will be allowed where ever he wants, which is absolute insane.
Expérience négative: If I could give this location zero stars I would I went in about a year ago asking to cancel my membership and she told me yeah no problem and I expected that it would’ve been canceled. She said yeah no problem. Turns out now 2024 that they have been charging me since March of last year. That’s over $450 that they have been charging me for me not even to be using the gym when I called to speak to the manager she said that they would cancel it effective immediately and I wouldn’t be charged or this month. That doesn’t mean anything when I’ve been charged for the last 16 months Note to self never ever go to a crunch gym ever again. She didn’t even try to help me the manager, so I put it to the fact that people shouldn’t be managing places unless they’re good at managing and obviously crunch Waterloo is not good at that. NEGATIVE 10 out of 10. Worst experience.
Expérience positive: Crunch Waterloo is a wonderful gym. They have a ton of different equipment and everything is really well serviced. I have been a member with crunch for 2 years now and I’ve had very few issues with this gym. I am a female power lifter and I spend a lot of time using the squat rack and bench press among other things. I don’t use the women’s section at Crunch Waterloo but I have a number of friends that do prefer it. They don’t have a squat rack or bench press in the woman’s section and I see this as a huge problem. They also have a smaller range of free weights.The women’s section can be helpful for a lot of women getting comfortable at the gym, but I just wanted to take the time to point out that limiting the types of equipment that is accessible in this section of the gym perpetuates many stereotypes of what sort of exercise women “should be doing.” The decision for crunch Waterloo not to have a squat rack or bench press in this area is likely due to what equipment they think women will use most and limited space, but this decision is also limiting many women from becoming more comfortable with compound lifting. Please consider addressing this post. I’ve spoken to the PT manager and the gym manager about this already. Thanks
Expérience fantastique: I’ve had a good experience training with Dana overall. Dana is very professional and knowledgeable, and I’ve definitely seen improvements in my fitness. She is patient, encouraging, and makes every session challenging yet fun. I appreciate the constant support and guidance, and I’m thrilled with my progress Still, I would recommend her to anyone serious about getting fit.
Expérience fantastique: I’ve been working out at Crunch Waterloo branch for about two years now and the experience has been pretty pleasant. Staff are friendly and the vibe of the gym is welcoming and encourages you to workout; people who come are also serious about working out, so you never feel disturbed or distracted. I’ve also recently upgraded my membership to take up more classes and was offered a free one-on-one personal training and consultation. I worked with Dana, and I couldn’t be happier. She met me where I was and broke down big questions into bite sized and achievable results. She gave me such great tips on how to make my existing regimen more efficient to get me the results I’m looking for. If I’m ever signing up for personal training o know who I’m signing up with :) Thanks, Dana you’re a champ!

Simple things like labelling of weights, adjusting collars on cable machine accessories, lubing squeaky pulleys etc. *Update. Someone put numbers on with chalk, regardless, this gym is great and being open 24hrs most days is a life saver.
Expérience fantastique: I have been a member of crunch fitness Waterloo for several years. The facility is huge with tons of equipment and zones for a variety of types of workouts. It is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I had wanted to do personal training for awhile but was ready to dive in when I met "MyGoToGuy" Dwayne. His approach to fitness, nutrition and lifestyle resonated with me so I got started. I could not be more happy withmy experience and the results. Dwayne completely tailers our sessions to my personal fitness level and goals. He has an extensive knowledge of anatomy, fitness, and health and can guide all types of bodies to their goals. I would highly recommend asking for Dwayne for personal sessions

She is incredibly knowledgeable about fitness and she certainly helped me to take my tennis matches to another level. Her training style is a perfect mix of challenging and motivating, with each session tailored to my personal goals and ensuring I perform each exercise correctly to avoid injuries. Since starting with her, I gained noticeable muscle, and feel stronger and more confident than ever. Hemangi’s enthusiasm and support are unwavering, making every session enjoyable and keeping me motivated to push through even the toughest workouts. Expérience fantastique: I recently switched to crunch from GoodLife and they are incomparable. The front desk staff is extremely helpful and friendly, a girl named Julia who works there was not only helpful but always had a smile on her face. People like her are what make a gym experience great! I look forward to going to the gym now!
Expérience fantastique: Came to this location as an out of towner on a trip and really enjoyed it. The staff at the front desk are very nice, the gym is big and spacious and pretty clean. Just the members from what I noticed (I went during the busy time 4-5:15pm) lack a lot of gym etiquette unfortunately. Gym bags and personal belongings all over the floor pose a tripping hazard, cable attachments also lying all over the floor, plates everywhere, etc.. Members should take more pride in the facility and perhaps gym etiquette rules should be enforced more. Just a thought. Overall was still a nice experience :)
Expérience fantastique: I joined Crunch Fitness in April and got the Personal trainer package. I've had many trainers before so I wasnt sure what to expect. I asked for the oldest trainer there as i figured they would know more. Well i ended up with one of the youngest and best trainers I've ever had. Her name is Dana and she has helped me so much! So I'm on month 2 and so far I've lost 20 lbs, 17 inches all over and the best part is that my knees that have severe arthritis, have been getting so much better! I am so happy to see these results after just 2 months! I was with other private gyms in the past for years and never saw this level of change in such a fast turn around time. I love my sessions with Dana, she is so knowledgeable and motivational and gives me diet support as well. We have a check in once a month with the fancy scale and every one has me gaining muscle and loosing fat which I've been struggling with for a long time. I am so impressed with all the staff and love the Zumba classes as well. I can't wait to see where this year takes me. Thanks Crunch and Dana for helping me to get healthier!!! ❤️
Expérience fantastique: I joined Crunch Fitness and I just completed a 3-month personal training session with one of their trainers; Dana. She's professional, knowledgeable, passionate, has a great sense of humor, and is super nice! every training session was fun. It's been a wonderful decision and outcome for me in many ways The workout plan was crafted to align with my specific fitness goals, and the timing of the workout sessions was flexible. Throughout this period, I got stronger, maintained a consistent body fat percentage, gained substantial muscle mass, and positively changed my dietary habits. Overall, I’m happy and impressed by the results, all of which would not have been possible without Dana's guidance and expertise. Also at Crunch Fitness, their training programs include monthly check-ins to track your body composition progress. This allows them to compare your current data with previous measurements to evaluate your personal goals and training methods. The information collected is used to identify areas for improvement and adjust your training plan accordingly. This feature was really helpful to me. The gym was great; it was clean, well-equipped, and broken equipment was fixed promptly. The music could be improved. Highly Recommend!

I'm SO impressed with the knowledge he has, he was super helpful and kind! It really put my anxieties at ease about getting started & gave me a solid foundation on where to start.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym AND service! I toured a couple local gyms before settling on Crunch. I found its equipment was about the same as competitors, but Crunch also had a sauna AND slightly lower prices. I signed up for some personal training briefly, then stopped. Then I noticed that my credit card had continued to get charged. I got concerned. I'm sure we've all heard horror stories about gym subscriptions being hard to cancel! The next time I went in, I talked to Taylor, who worked at the front desk. Not her department, so she forwarded my concern to Aidan, a manager. The email was concise and complete - it showed that she understood my problem well. Aidan gave me a call and we arranged for the charged amount to go toward the next few months' membership fees. IMO, a perfectly reasonable outcome. No nightmare scenario here. Thanks, Crunch team!

Expérience négative: I am a member of Crunch and this is the FIRST time at the Waterloo location on Parkside Drive. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I came in and said: this is my first time here, please let me know where the locker room is and group fitness studio is... staff member was helpful, showed me where everything is located, answering all questions. If only reviewing staff, 5 plus stars!! Some of the nicest Men and Ladies there. The men's locker room was a bit of shock and, Crunch Fitness, if you review these posts, feel free to reach out to me. The men's locker room was messy, locker doors were damaged and vandalized, the locker room smelled of spilled beer and if someone had just smoke a Marijuana cigarette IN the locker room. I found empty beer cans littering the floor and the shower curtains were torn and the showers smiled awful as if they had not been cleaned for a very long time. Come on Crunch Fitness, do better! Please repair and maintain your facilities!!

Expérience positive: I enjoyed having a gym nearby. I gave them a three star because they were not easy to deal with through covid. The music is also very loud, sometimes when they have a class their music is broadcasted out into the common areas. Can't complain too much you get what you pay for. Plus side, my two trainers were both amazing !!
Expérience fantastique: CRUNCH is by far the best gym with all the amenities for such an affordable membership plan. I really love the space and the variety of workouts available. Also, am very much fond of the hydro massage. It gives a relaxation after a long workout. Another huge plus is the great staff and trainers. All are very insightful and helpful. Definitely recommend the gym if you're looking for a serious/casual workout regime.
Expérience positive: The dumbbells in the 20-40 range are always in use, meanwhile the dumbbells in the 60+ range are always fully stocked. It would make more sense to have additional sets of dumbbells in the 20-40 range. We don't need multiple sets in the 60+ range unless Arnold Schwarzenegger and his crew are frequently coming here
Expérience négative: Do not get a membership at this place. The staff here is extremely unprofessional, unaccountable and belligerent. If you ever want to cancel your membership here be ready for an altercation. The staff turnover rate at this facility is high and with good reason. I would know, my trainer quit his job before my scheduled session which was never followed up by the way. Who would want to work or exercise at a gym when the owners are unnecessarily acrimonious and condescending. I had a verbal agreement with the staff that signed me up that I could end my membership in April but then the pandemic happened. I started receiving charges to my account and since I was not living in Waterloo anymore, I wanted to cancel the membership. I have been trying to contact someone for the past two weeks via email and phone. It took two weeks of unanswered phone calls to get another person on the line and was immediately yelled at for spelling my name to her. Her excuse was that she recently was dealing with angry customers, go figure. The malice didn't stop there, she then proceeded to lie to me that my membership was cancelled even though in the contract, cancellations can only be done in a written format. I obviously can't physically present since I live two hours away. Never get a membership at Crunch Fitness.
Expérience fantastique: I go at 9pm which is when it gets busy, equipment is not as good looking as it is on the photos but everything works just fine. For the price you pay it’s a great gym.

Expérience positive: Equipment is great and for one exercise you have multiple variations with different machines. But lacks towels in change room. A dryer for swim trunks for sauna…
Expérience négative: For about a year I see lacks of maintenance. They charge us $60 a year for it in addition to the monthly fees and don't maintain the broken equipment. Seems like the owner likes the money more then customer satisfaction. The picture is just one of the examples. Bunch of equipment getting broken constantly and nobody cares, they just put a "service required" print on it and sits there for a week, and then again... Absurd..
Expérience fantastique: I have been a member of Crunch Waterloo for almost 4 months now and have been training with Dwayne. He has been great at motivating and encouraging me to push myself to constantly improve, all while being very cautious and aware of my past injuries. His knowledge of fitness and technique are unmatched. His workouts are intense and varied so I am always ready to try what he has planned for me. I can highly recommend him and he is definitely my #mygotoguydwayne
Expérience fantastique: You get more than the price you pay. Equipaments are not fantastic but are good. Space is always clean. They have a lot of equipaments to be used. I normally go on mornings and don't need to wait to use anything. Staff is always helpful and friendly.
Expérience fantastique: I absolutely love the staff, they always tell me a good dad joke when I go in! The equipment is always clean. This is my favourite gym every I travel all the way from Guelph to come
Expérience négative: Aside from the absurd amount of unused cardio equipment and the piles of dirty yoga mats stuffed in every corner, the other day, I found toenail clippings beside the bench press. The people at this gym seem to have absolutely zero respect for anyone's personal space or the fact that a piece of equipment is being used. The staff are nice enough, but every time you bring an issue to their attention, in my experience, either nothing gets done or it takes them weeks to address it. Then, we have the beloved women's section. Huge pop-up letters on the wall read "raise the barbell," and yet... there is not a squat rack to be found. It's an offensive room full of 5 lb dumbbells and treadmills. It ends up being jam-packed with equipment from other parts of the gym that nobody bothers to put away. If you're happy to spend $20/month to clean up after people and have to bring your own 2.5lb plates, this is the gym for you!
Expérience positive: I’ve been with crunch for a few months now… my preferred location is Waterloo However not sure why we pay annual “maintenance fees” when the whole time I’ve been there some of the machines have been “out of service” like really?… 3 months to fix a machine that there is legit only one of?…. Aside from the staff and cleaning people who ever is now responsible for maintaining equipment is doing a p*%^ poor job Get it together seeing as you charge every individual almost 70$ a year
Expérience positive: I’ve been working out here for over a year and the staff are friendly, good atmosphere, and the cheapest prices although there are some cons: • Equipment maintenance. One of the two leg curl machines has been broken for weeks (the pad where you put your legs on) and instead of properly replacing the pad they’ve duck taped a squat bar pad which makes the machine significantly worse causing people to add yoga mats to make it thicker. I’ve noticed maintenance is just extremely slow in general. The other leg curl machine is not the best. • The gym is only 24/7 3 days a week. Friday nights are packed around 9:30 PM yet the gym still only closes at 10:00 PM on Fridays, compared to Hespeler crunch where they’re open 24/7 everyday I think it’d be extremely beneficial if they extended their houses and found people to work Friday-Sun till at least 12:00 or 1:00 am which wouldn’t be difficult considering the student body in Waterloo. • Equipment selection and placement is odd. There’s more dip machines than bench presses (3 benches in a huge gym). 2/3 the squat racks have fixed side rails which limit depth. There are way too many cardio machines that aren’t being used. And the machines that are used the most seem to only have one of them. I’d say the power hour area and the machines they chose for that are a complete joke.
Expérience fantastique: This is the best gym I have ever been to! It is always very clean and the staff is super helpful. I never feel judged or embarrassed and feel comfortable working out by myself. The space itself is very large and open and there is even a women’s section! Highly highly recommend to anyone thinking of joining a gym :)
Expérience négative: Deodorant is not a substitute for daily shower. Some people smell quite bad here when they pass by. Please be courteous when around other people.
Expérience négative: One of the worst places i have even been. I wouldn’t recommend joining this fitness centre. I have been charged multiple times for no reason. They talk to you nicely in the beginning but when it comes to cancelation they add whole lot of charges.
Expérience fantastique: I never thought I would be excited to come to the gym but Alex is an amazing trainer. He knows his stuff and gives me just the push I need! I would highly recommend signing up and training with Alex.
Expérience fantastique: I trained with Joe last year in September. I still utilize the program he gave me daily, and I’ve seen a huge change in both my strength and appearance! He’s got a very positive attitude and is very supportive of your goals. His workouts are intense but rewarding, and he is very welcoming working the front desk if you go in the mornings!
Expérience positive: I joined crunch fitness 2 months ago after having life changing surgery. I wanted a personal trainer who was knowledgeable and aware of my situation. Dwayne was the guy for the job. He started me off slow and motivated me a little more each week. Both him and myself were impressed with my progress. I would highly recommend him as a coach or trainer as well as crunch fitness is the place to go.
Expérience fantastique: The place is clean and the wait times for spots/machines is good for a university town, plus they have a sauna which you don't see as much at cheaper gyms. I wanted to better keep up with a physically demanding job and probably would have stopped if not for the personal trainer they signed me up with, Joe. Definitely someone I've learned a lot from about fitness and maximizing my body without wrecking myself or feeling self-conscious. The program he made for me factored in both my physical job and my rock climbing, so now I'm performing way better across the board, not just in the gym. All in all, crunch has been great for my health and mind and I'd definitely recommend.
Expérience fantastique: I've been going to this gym for 2 months or so, and so far it's been absolutely amazing. I am working with a Trainer (Alex). He is extremely knowledgeable, encouraging, extremely informative, and attentive. He ensures the exercises are done properly, answer my million questions without hesitation. Due to health concerns I found myself recently Unmotivated and with one session with Alex he turned my mindset all around! If you are looking for an amazing trainer I highly recommend Alex here at Crunch Gym. The entire gym is full of friendly and knowledgeable staff. Management is always so helpful.
Expérience fantastique: Joined the gym about two months ago and decided to get a personal trainer twice a week. The first time I went, I was supposed to meet with one person and they gave me another trainer the next time I got another trainer the third time the trainer wasn’t there he had an emergency. The fourth time I went Alex was now my trainer and I was very frustrated because of the three previous things that did not pan out. I told him I was frustrated and what had happened and that I just wanted to start training. He right away got me going on a program. I have been with him about six weeks and he’s awesome. I am very comfortable with him and he pushes me To my full potential. He seems very knowledgable and I really enjoy working out with him.

He kept charging me for personal training sessions although I have repeatedly requested to cancel the same. There is also no proper documentation and sometimes the documents are signed by someone else. Be very careful with them and please put everything in writing (emails) because what they say on call and what they do rarely match. I have had a horrible experience with the manager which literally forced me to change my gym. Very unprofessional and exploitative system. Be careful if you choose personal training here. That being said, the trainers, are really good.
Expérience fantastique: I joined Crunch less than 2 months ago. This gym provides WAY better value than others. The facility is clean and spacious with lots of variety. I don’t feel intimidated at all. Members and staff are very friendly and supportive. Dwayne, my trainer extraordinaire, is awesome. He works me hard and I’m always grateful afterwards. All the numbers they measure have improved significantly for me already and I feel better. So glad I started coming here. I highly recommend Dwayne. I thought I knew a lot about fitness but I learn new things from him on every visit. I’m really motivated to keep showing up.

Expérience négative: I have been attempting to cancel my membership for 4 months now... I went in person in august and was told to do it online.... I try online and the only option is to send a message which never is responded too.. I call today and tell them I want to cancel and mid way through the worker goes hold on one second and just hangs up... absolutely absurd.
Expérience fantastique: As a new member at the gym, my first free consultation session was with the trainer Aiden. He quickly (and accurately) pointed out areas for improvement in my exercise forms and shared valuable workout advices, thank you Aiden. Due to personal commitments in the upcoming months, I couldn't commit for personal training sessions at this time. Nonetheless, Aiden's guidance was greatly appreciated, I believe trainers like him at Crunch will make the overall experience positive for potential fully-engaged members.
Expérience fantastique: Just signed up today but I had an incredible experience doing a tour and the sign up itself. Louis was an excellent guide and didn’t apply any pressure at all. Instead, he was incredibly helpful with answering any questions I had and asked his manager/team when he wasn’t sure of something. The impression I had really gives me great faith that my time here will be positive and effective, which is exceptional as I was somewhat apprehensive about getting a membership after reading some of the negative reviews here.
Expérience fantastique: For the price it is one of the best gym. Has a lot of machines, and different areas for a different kind of work out. A dedicated women's area. Very friendly staff and mostly clean and clear. Amazing vibe.
Expérience fantastique: Just joined this gym. Membership prices are super affordable. I've only gone during busy hours but still was able to use the equipment I wanted to use without having to wait long. Change rooms are clean, equipment is good quality and kept in working condition. Staff has been nice and helpful so far, along with the other members who I've interacted with so far. Looking forward to continuing my fitness journey and living a new, healthier lifestyle here on out!

Expérience négative: I went in to cancel my membership and the person suggested I freeze it for 3 dollars a month so I did that now they raised the price of my membership without my consent and I’m being charged my regular membership fee instead of the freeze fee. I called in for an explanation but nobody can seem to give me a straight answer.
Expérience négative: very poor and slow equipment maintenance. Took over one month to fix one of the highly used devices. Shower area is really dirty(curtains and floor) and customer service did not follow these issues. Lockers also need to be cleaned regularly specially in winter. Sometimes wet or salty because of the boots placed there.

There are pictures of a squat rack with deadlift platform on their Google page but when I went there, there are no platforms and only one squat rack with bent safety bars. I was also shoo'd off the area where there are bumper plates(there is only one area where you can try to deadlift using bumpers). I was at the middle of my set when one person told me to stop. I went to a corner trying to avoid any space that trainers might use and finish my set then another one came and told me they'll use the whole space (they didn't even start, not for another 15mins) smh. I feel that the gym is not at all inclusive and I will be rescinding my membership too. Better go to another gym if you're planning to do any powerlifting or oly lifts.
Expérience fantastique: Sarthak Malhotra and Dillon Marcy are both incredible personal trainers and have helped me tremendously in my fitness journey (which is only still beginning!). Highly recommend this facility for the quality of its personal trainers and staff. EDIT: April 19, 2023 I just completed my 3-month personal training journey with Sarthak Malhotra, and all I can say is that the experience has been incredible. It blew my expectations in every dimension. From Day 1, I was given a comprehensive nutrition and training plan (including rest days). The nutrition plan took into account my personal diet preferences, and the training plan was diverse and involved all muscle groups (shoulders, triceps, back, legs, etc.). I started out in January weighing 182lbs, and now I weigh 145lbs. That means I lost nearly 40lbs in just 12 weeks, and that's all thanks to the quality and care of Sarthak, my personal trainer, and the excellent equipment available at Crunch Waterloo. Without a doubt, investing in a PT plan with Crunch was one of the best decisions I made this year. It's not a purchase; it's an investment in your health—your greatest long-term asset. Bravo to Sarthak and the Crunch Fitness staff!

Expérience négative: Unfortunately a gym with too many members for the amount of equipment available. Way too much cardio equipment that is never fully used and could have other needed equipment. Goodluck finding a bench, squat rack or pec dec machine even on off hours. At 10 o clock on a Wednesday evening I had to wait 40 min (this is not an exaggeration) to get a squat rack. They have enough space for more equipment. They just don’t want to put it in and realize how much of an issue this is.

Expérience négative: My AirPods were stolen from the women’s locker room, along with all my friends credit, and debit cards, and AirPod pros. $800 was stolen from her account. Apparently it’s happening frequently, specifically in the women’s change room. Be very careful leaving valuables unattended because people are stealing!

I have been supporting this gym since the pre registration days before they opened. update: The manager here doubled down on the unprofessional behaviour exhibited here. Any basic level customer rep would have said, this is not the way to treat customers and they will let the staff know for overall team improvement going forward. That clearly was beyond the ability of the people getting paid to handle these situations. 1. The electronic system had a problem with an easy fix that made trouble for me to enter. The employee at the desk looked me right in the face and told me to just keep taking it and eventually someone will always let me in on their timing,( like a second class citizen who needs permission, like a dog, with no regard for my schedule, responsibilities or life). 2. The manager completely ignored the unprofessional behaviour in 1. She asked me if I didn't bother to speak to anyone at the front desk and then had the nerve to tell me that the problem was solved and that there was no further issue, and told me why don't I just cancel my membership if I have a problem with this. I previously stated, "with respect, this is poor attention to detail, good look in your future career". I attempted to move on from the negative experience at that point. - the manager freaked out at this and used mental gymnastics to try to insinuate that she was somehow being threatened...please read what I said again to see the absurd behaviour here. Now see (1) above, again. Bravo hypocrisy... She accused me of blowing the issue out of proportion and for having the "audacity" to call out the fact that I was treated unfairly, diminishing the negativity of what happened to me. Telling me to just keep taking it and not complain is the same thing as saying just shut up and take it. I'm calling out the enabling of bullying and borderline discriminatory behaviour here. Loudly. Members beware, this is poor conduct and unprofessional behaviour that is completely uncalled for, coupled with victim blaming for calling it out. The level of liberties taken with privileged entitlement that gets a free pass here and acting as if someone has 'offended' the bully, is appalling. Unfortunately, my customer experience here has become less than 5 star. I don't appreciate the cavalier manner in which a compounded mistake was made. Again, even a low level acceptable level of professionalism would have yielded the following result, "our staff should never treat paying customers like this for no reason. We acknowledge the issue and will take steps to correct this and make sure that it doesn't happen again in the following ways." Clearly, with respect, I have every right to say that I have been treated unfairly by people who are not serious about what they are paid to do. ---- Original Review ----- I've switched to this gym 6+ years ago and never looked back. The etiquette of my fellow members causes me to raise an eyebrow from time to time, but that's not a house problem. The members staff here work very hard from what I've seen to maintain this place. They are helpful, respectful and knowledgeable when it comes to administrative tasks.
Expérience négative: Careful with giving them your business, shady and fraudlent business practices that'll give you a headache I was within my cancellation notice timing as per our contract before they could charge me for another month but they tried to charge me $90 extra to cancel. I told them that's not right later over the phone and the charge changed to $40 extra, the change of charge itself shows their sketchy business practices and illegitimacy. I called and made sure I wouldn't be charged extra for anything as per our contract and I wasn't charged after all. I'm sure they're bringing in income from taking advantage of people that aren't challenging them. Lastly, over the phone when they also told me that my notice was too late and that a $40 charge is correct, I told them that's not true as I read the contract beforehand and followed their contract for when to cancel... Then I told them to show me where it says what they're saying in the contract and we both went through it and they couldn't point at anything, they tried telling me "oh it's on this card here that was shown to you." It's all just deception, over multiple instances they'd lie so easily and shamelessly. One employee at the desk would change his name everytime I'd go in, once he was "Avery" and another time he was "Joe". They're preying off people by hoping that they didn't read the contract and then they simple shove a one liner at you that "it's in the contract," and hope you flee then. Steer clear.
