Expérience fantastique: Their jiu-jitsu program run by Vinny is fantastic. Very knowledgeable. He is fantastic with the kids in the tiny tiger class. My kid started at 3 years old and he was very patient and understanding with her. 8 months later she is hooked and love every second of it!

The coaches at Rama are the best of the best and very knowledgeable in the martial art they are teaching. If you are reading this I just wanted to confirm that if you are having doubts about coming here, you have nothing to worry about it will be a life changer signing up at Rama!

Expérience fantastique: A great place to start learning jiu-jitsu for all ages. Friendly instructors, staff and students. Healthy mix of male and female, there is generally always a comfortable training partner around for you. Well organized training regiment to make one feel effective in a reasonable amount of time. Can work if you train only once a week or every day of the week. Students compete in local tournaments and get prepared accordingly which shows the school knows what they're doing. Happy I just showed up to give it a try, might have just changed my life!

I've watched the transformation of students from shy and unwilling to participate to full on tournament ready competitors. Expérience fantastique: Absolutely fantastic Academy of Martial Arts in Rockland! My 5-year-old adores their Muay Thai classes and the after school program. The instructors and staff are incredibly friendly and kind, making him feel right at home. It's such a family-oriented atmosphere and even I couldn't resist joining in on some classes. The kids and adults are welcoming and inclusive, creating a supportive environment for everyone. Highly recommend for kids and adults alike!

Expérience fantastique: I have just recently moved to the area and I have been training BJJ for 3 weeks at RAMA right away They made me feel at home. The staff and students are very respectful and will make sure you don’t get hurt. Some of the guys have also been very nice in sharing some cool tips after class. Right away I know I am not looking for another gym I have found my home and this is where my jiu-jitsu journey will continue.

Expérience négative: Signed up my 3.5 year old for the tiny tigers class but they are intermingled with 6-12 year old class. The class is way too advanced for beginners and the instructor doesn’t have time to teach the little ones at all. We were told that my daughter is too young for this class although it’s advertised as a 3-6 class. I tried to speak with the receptionist but she was unavailable. I called over and over, left a message, sent a message through the app and still no call back. Now I’m trying to cancel my membership but I can’t reach anyone at the rockland or Ottawa location. I’ve signed up my daughter at Saroughi Taekwondo in orleans instead where they answered my call the first time, had my daughter come in for an assessment the same day and then placed her in a class at her level. I would not recommend the Rockland studio for small children at all. It’s very unfortunate because my daughter actually loved it and we live in Clarence-Rockland so it was convenient for us. I’m sad to say that they’ve lost a long term client and I will never recommend this studio to anyone.

Expérience fantastique: Exceptional Gym, great location, amazing staff. Hands down, Fred (who runs the kids class) is the best adult I've ever seen work with kids. This includes daycare workers, coaches, librarians, etc. Simply amazing. As well this gym also is associated with OAMA as one of the most reputable in the area, and for good reason. OAMA is a Renzo Gracie school so that she be 'nuff said. But legitimately these guys are one of the most dominant schools in the area at MMA competitions and Fred is, no surprise, one of there star fighters. Look no further, if you live in Rockland, this is your gym.

Expérience fantastique: Awesome facility! This is a wicked place to train, two different training rooms and a good change room with showers. There is seating available for parents to watch their children train. I did the BJJ Blue class and the instruction was great, we had a small class which is always great for the students. The people at this facility love giving back to the community as well which is a massive bonus in my books! Will certainly go back!

Expérience fantastique: If you live anywhere near Rockland this is the Martial Arts Academy for you. They have a large variety classes....something for everyone. Muay Thai, Jujitsu , Brazilian Jiu jitsu they have classes for those wanting a practical self defence or have a competitive nature. The staff/instructors practice what they preach, as they all compete in the Art they instruct. As a member of the Canadian Armed forces, I have been posted all over the country - you won't find a better bang for your buck. Team, Honour, loyalty!!!!!!

Expérience fantastique: Our family absolutely loves this place. My daughter has done many activities and sports and could never find something she loves. After her first week here she found her thing. She goes everyday and can not wait to go back the next day. . It is more than a sport for her it is a second family. The staff is so caring and helpful. Would highly recommend this place to the young and the old!! Thank you for helping our daughter shine

Expérience fantastique: Although I live in the West End of Ottawa and frequently attend classes at their Carling location, I enjoy (whenever my schedule permits) making the trip out to Rockland to partake in their classes. Top Notch instructors, friendly and helpful students and clean facility would have me attend more often if I lived closer. Highly recommend!
