Expérience fantastique: Great facility. The training room is perfect, but I dont like that the sled gets 1st dibs on the floor. Everything is well kept up and the classes are fabulous. Ending in the sauna, steamer, showers and Hydro bed is one of the best parts!

Expérience positive: EDIT - Year 2 at this gym and although a beautiful place I most likely won't go back. It was $160 for my son and I to work out 3 times. Perhaps a punch pass or a week pass should be offered like so many other places I have been. The drop-in rates here are the most expensive I have ever paid. I was visiting my mom on a trip from Grande Prairie and needed to find a gym :) This place was beyond my expectations!! Clean, well run, friendly and with all the amenities. I would for sure come back!!!

Expérience négative: They need to bring back paper towel to clean equipment and hand sanitizer. Using a few and sometimes one hand towel between 10 people at the gym is gross. This is not a place to cut costs.
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We have hand towels available throughout the gym and at the front desk. If your towel becomes soaked, you’re welcome to grab a fresh one. Hand sanitizer is also readily available at the front desk.
Expérience négative: i’ve had a membership here for years, going between east & south & have had pleasant experiences for the most part: but this morning at 11:30, the front desk woman with the white hoodie & curly hair made 2 inappropriate gender remarks towards me as i walked in. calling me a “lady”, and when i correct her and said “no”, she says “oh, okay lady and other”. it made me extremely uncomfortable & upset, it ruined my workout & i kept seeing her looking over at me while i worked out as if she was making fun of me to other co-workers. This is discrimination, i cant believe the employee couldn’t even apologize for trying to “out” a paying member. i would like a manger to contact me.

Expérience négative: Honestly I used to absolutely love this gym, but now if I could rate it less than one star I would. I paid to cancel my membership. Which I shouldn't have even had to do because I was close with management (or so I thought) and they knew I was leaving for well over a month ( they require 30 days notice) and I was on a monthly contract, but I won't even get into that story fully because there is really no point. They will find any reason to try and say that didn't happen for the sake of looking better for reviews. The point is , I paid to cancel my membership immediately ( Which an employee just confirmed over the phone that it says on my file that I paid for an immediate cancellation) And they are still charging me. Probably hoped I would just never notice, but I did. I have had 2 bi weekly payments taken from me when I no longer live there and I paid to cancel! Do not go to this gym people, there is a reason they have to get employees to literally ask regulars to leave good reviews ( I know because I used to do it for them) So I really never thought they'd do this, but here we are don't waste your money, go anywhere else

Expérience fantastique: Very well maintained gym. I hired a trainer for a couple sessions, working with Mahesh was amazing. I was able to hit a new PR with my squats and his support helped me push myself to start going to the gym regularly. All in all a wonderful experience!

Demitri,We can easily see which locations you've visited based on your attendance history. You have never set foot in the East location. In fact, you haven't been to any of the locations in a year. You also never had a problem with Evolution Fitness until you had to honor the agreement you willingly entered into when told you had to pay a cancel fee to break the 1 year agreement you willingly entered into, despite knowing the fees associated with breaking the agreement.
Expérience fantastique: This gym is an absolute dream. It’s clean and comfortable. As someone who struggles with confidence in the gym this place has made me felt like I belong. The front staff always give a big hello and it makes my day. I’ve only been here about 3 weeks but I’m so glad I invested here.

Expérience négative: Been here for 3 years. Great machines in terms of equipment, great steam room when it works. Maintenance is terrible, something is always broken, steam room closes early, Sales, towels are sometimes dirty which also keep increasing the price on. Sales staff is even worse , do not trust them. Front desk is great though!

Expérience négative: The one thing that is extremely bothering to me is that I use the kids club, yesterday I went there a new lady was working I dropped my daughter(6.5 months old) off at 5pm at that time she was having a nap. An hour and a half later I got a phone call that she was screaming and wouldn’t stop, so I went into the kids club where I found my daughter in her winter gear still strapped in her car seat the lady told me that she tried to feed her but she wouldn’t stop screaming. I replied with well she’s probably hot don’t you think then I asked her how long ago she woke up she replied with ya maybe and about half an hour ago. When I undressed my daughter from her winter gear she had been sweating for so long that her onesie was soaked through. At this point my daughter was the only child in the kids club, it is very concerning since at some points during the day the kids club has quite a bit of children in it and this happened when there was only one child in there in the past with the other ladies that work in the kids club every time I’ve peaked in to check or gone into pick my daughter up they have been engaged with her or had her set up so she could entertain herself and I had no concerns until last night when this situation happened. Not sure the back ground check you do on your employees that work with the kids but child care is not something you should take lightly or just put someone in that position to fill a spot as it could be detrimental to the health of the child. I’m glad that she called me when she did so I could handle the situation but it could of been completely avoided with proper training and experience.

Expérience négative: I like the equipment and cleanliness of this gym. In general, I really like coming here but there's three things I think they could work on: 1. The steam room hasn't been in working order for months now, and it's a bit disheartening because my membership pays for it, and it's not available to use. 2. The staff at the front definitely have their favorite regulars. They say hi to everyone who walks in. However, when I walk in, they don't acknowledge me at all. I've noticed they say hi only to my gym partner whenever she comes in with me. Your staff should be more inclusive and say hi to everyone, not just people they see as more valuable or more fit than others, or better looking. 3. There's a male staff member (Won't say name) I've noticed who talks to all of the girls? He's even opened the ladies' only door to say hi a girl, which I believe is highly inappropriate.

Expérience négative: Place has gone down hill over the years, steam rooms and saunas barely work, cracks and holes in the steam room plus brown stains. Price only keeps going up, $30 per a month just for towel service is ridiculous
Expérience fantastique: I ABSOLUTELY love working out at the East location. The members are super nice to each other and people working there are always willing to take care of my needs. I used to come as a guest member with my sister but due to the ambiance and one of the staff members, Sabbir who is super nice and friendly, I’m buying my own membership. Evolution East is the place to be for true gym rats!

Expérience négative: I absolutely love the the machines and equipments here! My complain is I don't think they turn on the AC upstairs since the weather started to warm up. When its +28 degrees out, it gets super hot in there so I end up not finishing my workout. Sure the fans helps but only in the specific areas, if you're not directly in the fan it gets really nasty in there.

We also encourage you to speak with the front desk so they can check to make sure if there are issues to correct them. Please note that all systems are designed to provide comfort to the majority, however individuals are all unique and will have different tolerance levels and comfortable levels depending on various factors. We set temps to engineering and occupancy standards that are provided to us.We hope your next visit will be more satisfactory. Thanks for the feedback.

Expérience négative: I switched gyms to go here for the hours when they were 24 hours. Since covid their hours still haven’t changed. They close so early and the only reason I wanted to go here is so I could workout at anytime. Might have to find a new gym because I’m still paying the same amount I was before but with way less time to workout.

Expérience fantastique: This is located at East side of the city, they also have other 2 locations in regina , however I like this one more because this one has less traffic compared to other two locations. Everything you need for bodybuilding, cross fit , cardio etc are available here, The place is super clean and fulfilled with modern equipment. They also follow all the precautionary of Covid-19 , their stuff also friendly and reachable. I would highly recommend East Evolution fitness if you guys live east side of city.
Expérience fantastique: Francisco is by far the best trainer with evolution if u need one. He understands where u stand and what u want to achieve and trains u accordingly. Leaves you with a good workout plan after you think you are ok to be on ur own and checks up on you. Thank you Francisco.

Expérience négative: Okay, April 2021 I signed up for a membership basic one! Someone a young man assisted me but he was the one who dealt it through computer , I was told that if I have to cancel it anytime I do not have any charges as long as it is not beyond a year of the time I signed up! I went to the Gym Until mid of May! Then not using it! I decided to cancel August 2021! I booked appointment to do that, then Aug. 4th a manager called to tell me I will get charged ! Now my concern is if you keep saying contract contract! Then your staff should let the person to atleast read the contract act and do the signing for it than the staff do it!!! I would recommend don’t trust this GyM!!!Not even 1 star!!
Expérience négative: Took a 3 year break and decided to return to the east end. Wasnt too impressed with the mens washroom. It was dirty af. Hair and lint and toe nails everywhere....coudnt beleive the steam room is still junk..like replace the cap on the steam pipe already its been years! Its what helps create the steam! My feet burned for hours after i left the gym.....athletes foot now?? .. ...the floors were gross! We pay big membership fees for this..so you would expect everythjng to be maintained and operational.........come on management open your eyes.

Karla Cruickshank Member Experience Manager McCarthy That person stops to contact me after she was supposed to put me in contact with a guy named Matt. After 2 weeks, no one has reached out to me. As a client, I am going to Downtown Evolution and the gym is closed on the weekend plus the sauna has been out since the pandemic. In addition, the gym was open until 6 pm most of the time after covid which were I first signed up, it was open until 9 pm. There have been many hours reduce + no possibility to train there on the weekend but the price remains the same. around 44 $ per month. I don't think I should pay that amount if, in my contract, it was mentioned that I could have access to my gym for 7 days until 9 pm + the sauna. I think they should have reduced the fees if they can't offer the same services as Covid. I am disappointed with you and will never come back to your gym again. Update Skye Kaiss have adressed my issues. He is the only one so far that help me with my issue. He was kind, respectful and punctual. He is impressive when it comes to communication. I would recommend to get in touch with him if u face any issues.
Expérience positive: I love what I see from the guy and do to COVID-19, they are doing what they can to keep up with keeping it as clean and sanitized. Which I love it where there is more the one gym to use and not all in one space! It not overly that bad and the staff are doing what they can to keep you coming back every time! Which I would like your stass to have the training to know where things are jf they are working at the front door at the desk! When you get new members of the gym that may not k know where to go. Which I love having someone who can tell you where to go if needed when asked!! Try to make sure you have someone do a check as often as possible to make sure things are keeped up to COVID-19 standers so that the gym doesn't get closed down! Which I love to have place to get bacm into shape and stay safe well doing it. So keep up the good work and all that good stuff the members like to see from young to old....-

Experience; I have a locker in the executive men's room at this gym for which I'm paying extra on top of my regular gym membership fees, some may admit at a questionable rate, but I enjoy the privacy (I thought I had) little did I know. On March 17th I came in and my lock was gone and all the stuff in my locker was gone as well. So I asked one of the sales representative about it and he said our sales rep forgot to put the locker under your account when you were signing up for the executive locker but the payments were still being processed and that evolution cut the lock and removed my items. Further he apologized and said "we can give you a new lock". I told him someone broke my lock without my consent and touched my personal items given the reality of COVID-19, I was very upset. It's been 5 days since, I'm keep asking the front desk and I haven't been given a replacement lock. The conduct was distasteful on evolutions part and I think, had the situation been rectified this review wouldn't have been posted.
Expérience positive: Its a good gym, pretty much has all the equipment you need. The person at the counter is usually nice. There's a separate women's only section and an athletes room. Due to covid some of the cardio machines are not usable because of social distancing but I've always found an elliptical or a treadmill. A lot of stuff is state of the art. The prices can be better and the contracts can be better but I guess the gyms have that way of making money. There's also a daycare there. I see the cleaning staff always working. Gym also has steam room and suana as well as executive change rooms in which you can have a personal locker.
Expérience positive: I wanted to come on here and change my review as I don't believe it's a good representation of the new ownership. I recently had a collection company call me for a past due account, because the previous owners and staff gave me a combination of misinformation and lack of communication. However under the new ownership the issue has been completely resolved. While I do think there could still be some improvements to communication between the management and their clients, it is drastically better then what it used to be. Thank you to Michelle for reaching out to me and resolving this issue so promptly, perhaps one day in the future I would consider joining this gym again if they continue to provide this kind of service.
Expérience négative: A year ago I would have given this gym a good 4-star rating. Today they shouldn't even get 1-star from me. A day ago I went to workout at my usual 5am time and when I scanned my key tag the employee at the front desk told me it didn't work. I tried again and it still didn't work. He proceeded to look at my account and I was told it looked like I owed over $100. How is that possible since I saw my most recent bi-weekly amount come out of my account only 2 days prior. He did allow me to go do my workout and said he would give me a call later that day. I'm not even sure how long my key tag hasn't been working since most days when I sign in there is no one at the front desk to check. I ended up calling them later that morning and long story short I found out the location I've been going to for the past 2 years is no longer owned by the original owner and the downtown location is the only one I can go to now since my original contract (which I got at a discount through a corporate deal) is only valid there. What really angers me is I was never informed of any of this. I was told when I joined I could go to any location and out of the blue with no notice I'm told I can no longer go to the east location without cancelling at the downtown location and re-signing up at the east location (also for a much larger cost as they will not honor my corporate rate). While they did offer a new rate that I do say is pretty fair this whole situation has really made me wonder if it's smart to trust this gym at all.

Expérience fantastique: Great place lots of new equipment and now locally owned . Sounds like a few people still don't know what happened but these locations are separate from downtown and not the same company. There were letters as well as staff that informed me of the whole situation and its easy enough to understand. I also like that there are no more "special deals" for some and not for others. Everyone is getting up front price which is fair. No side deals straight forward. I can respect that! I heard the previous ownership transfer lots of members to their location downtown without members knowledge so you can't blame the new ownership for what the old ownership was doing....and clearly it was off cause they don't own the three big locations anymore.
Expérience négative: Well this is very sad indeed I did give a really good review about this place before but that's ugly how things change. Probably over a year ago now I canceled my membership I did go in to pay what was needed for it to be closed but for some reason they kept on billing me after the fact as it looks others are making reviews on the same problem very sad indeed I highly advice no one to go to this location at first they were really good people was a really good place but that's sad how they became money hungry even after you canceled and paid for the cancelation fee never should of tried to make this place a regular gym do not make this place your regular no one needs to go through what they will put you through
Cory you are unfortunately very misleading. You owe well over $900 so you started using or services again as of July of 2021 ( you have been a memeber on several occasions) . You never used the facility since October of 2021. You have been a member off and on during the years. You should consider month to month they are available. Nevertheless you know the cancel procedures, then choose not to follow them and get late fees continuously. You had payed down your account to $300 dollars owed and unfortunately failed to pay that amount. We regrettably had no choice but to pursue other options. You signed your agreement with full acknowledgement of it. It's unfortunate that you didn't want to honor what you agreed too. We hope you will clearly take the steps needed to ensure you have a proper understanding of documentation before signing or agreeing to anything in your general dealings. This is a membership as you know and it also requires responsibility on your part to ensure you actually pay for the services you agreed to pay for.
Expérience fantastique: Awesome place lots of new equipment. Heard the are expanding floor space and bring in some serious new features! Excited about this location.

Expérience négative: Fraudster company with the intention of ripping you off. Beware of signing any sort of contract with them.
Expérience fantastique: My favourite gym. It's a place to keep in shape.
