Expérience fantastique: At first I was skeptical about joining this gym because of the negative reviews, but they couldn't have been more wrong. Today, I had to cancel my gym membership due to location issues and the service was very fast and helpful. The owner was able to get back to me within hours on the same day of my request of cancellation and information requests. He explained each of the charges in satisfactory details and helped me cancel by phone. The gym itself is nicely kept, clean. My overall experience with this gym, from start to finish, was highly satisfactory.

Adel,You signed up for a membership that bills biweekly. The payment method you provided was charged accordingly.Leaving the gym or ceasing attendance does not automatically cancel your membership. A formal cancellation request is required for confirmation. You will receive confirmation of your cancellation only after submitting the cancellation request, not upon discontinuing attendance.
Expérience négative: This review is solely based on the company's response to COVID-19. I had reached out to the customer service THREE times with complaints about their non-effective response to COVID-19. The staff don't sanitize the locker room, shoe racks and the bench next to it nearly as often as they should. Tonight alone, I had seen multiple people with flu symptoms in the gym and the staff member walked past them without saying anything. I strongly believe that you should impose much tougher and effective rules that would prevent a potentially sick person from coming in. Maybe do a temperature check upon entry? Also, please sanitize and clean the shoe rack area - last few days it's been looking awful dirty. If this issue isn't carefully considered, my next step would be contacting the government officials to have you fined for not complying with the regulations.

Expérience négative: Sorry to say but I need to give this gym 1 star. No gym ever should require 60 days and 4 bi-weekly payments to cancel when you don't even sign a contract. It's in their small print mentioning this so beware of this gym as they will try to squeeze every damn penny out of you for nothing. The whole reason for not signing a contract is to have the ability to quit anytime no penalties. Aside from this, the gym is too busy now where you can't use what you want usually if it's a decent time, they don't even have tv in their cardio machines anymore that work so you are forced to watch whatever is on the hanging tvs and they got degenerates going there as someone stole my shoes out of the shoe rack last year and they apparently couldn't even look at anything for me like cameras or acted like they didn't care at all. In the end this gym has gone downhill and the soulless corporate route where they could care less about you, your well being, and obviously your financial situation where they want $135 which is about 2 months of bi-weekly payments to cancel when you aren't even on contract. Everyone I told this to was shocked and would agree that is ridiculous. Response from evolution fitness response: As to the below response. I did have memberships on contract in the past way back and not month to month like I did now. There is no gym that should require 60 days cancelation fee. I don't care what you say about it, 60 days is not acceptable. I also mentioned the sign-up process will have the small print that mentions the 60 day cancellation fee. A lot of people do not read that, so this is making sure people are aware of this.

I canceled my member ship last year as I moved, submitted my form to do so and was shown a “success” notification and e mail confirmation that they received it however I didn’t read the microscopic fine print where they tell you they send you a random e mail within 3 months to fully cancel it, don’t open your e mail for a day and miss it? Oops they auto renew your membership for the next year then tell you to pay them hundreds of dollars to try to cancel it before the year is up. The membership is over 700$ a year because they charge you random fee’s
Demitri,Everything you've said is a complete lie. We know it's common practice to get online and lie or leave false reviews in hopes that you won't be held accountable for your actions. Upon submitting a cancellation request, members receive a confirmation notification indicating the initiation of the cancellation process, taking into consideration any contractual obligations, such as early termination fees, if applicable. There is no "success" notification. Your commitment to a 1-year agreement, completed online independently, included an acknowledgment of the terms, which specified an early termination fee in case the full term could not be fulfilled.Prior to processing your cancellation, you were informed of the applicable early termination fee, as outlined in the terms of your 12-month agreement.There is no fine print stating a 3-month cancellation period. This is another lie. Our cancellation procedures are designed to be transparent and efficient. Your decision to opt for a 1-year agreement was made willingly to benefit from a discounted rate, with full awareness of the associated termination procedures.You are an adult, leaving false reviews will not alter the reality that you willingly entered into an agreement that you are now unwilling to fulfill, opting instead to spread false information.
Expérience positive: There are a few major problems with this facility. 1. People taking up two to three stations at once which causes longer than normal wait times. 2. People using their phones, rather than the machines they are on, which causes extremely long wait times. I was told by staff they cannot do anything about it which is very frustrating.

We do also encourage members to work-in were applicable and most are understanding and helpful in doing so. We will reiterate this protocol so members are more aware going forward. Expérience négative: My Wifeand I went to the gym this morning. We are from Nova Scotia and are here to visit Family on Christmas. We have been going to Evolution Fitness on previous visits to Regina and liked it very well. This Morning we planned on purchasing a 10 day pass as we always did. It was quite a surprise to be told that this option was discontinued and we would have to pay 26.00 dollars each for a day pass. There was no other option which met it would be quite expensive for a week therefore we decided to leave. It was quite disappointing for us as we are seniors who try and stay fit. In Halifax we were members at Dalplex Fitness Centre at Dalhousie University. There they had Seniors rates as well Family Rates that were more than reasonable. For a month we both could work out there for around 60.00 for a non-prime membership as well as a Senior discount. Seems like Evolution is more for the money than the well being of its Members. On a positive note it was a great morning for a jog. Glenn Fricker

Thanks Sam. We just don't think it's fair to continuely accept when individuals claim one thing on Google reviews and another when we correspondence with them in person. It's very easy to falsely make claims on the reviews, for example you’re from Prince Albert and there is no record of you in our systems as a memeber or vistor or otherwise, you’re just making claims to assist a friend of yours ...we know you have never been here. And frankly the abuse of it is clear. We know how much resources we spend to ensure the facility is maintained. We know how hard our staff work to do so. We know how our valued members appreciate it and when people who are not members or are just perpetually offended don't appreciate it. ...well that's unfortunate. We wish you all the best.

Thanks RL, old owners were insolvent and found guilty of fraudulent convency defrauding creditors and selling assets that they didn't own. Owed millions to several landlords. They subsequently went bankrupt. New ownership took on the the clubs during covid to ensure the club stayed open so that the general public would have an outlet to deal with the stress and mental health issues associated with the lockdowns. Sorry you didn't like that. New ownership employed people throughout, paid property taxes to support schools, libraries, fire department and police services. Sorry you feel differently.

Expérience négative: This gym requires you to sign a binding contract which is difficult to terminate. If you choose to cancel or are unable to attend the gym, they will still take your money. I signed a contract that included daycare services for my son, which was the primary reason for selecting this gym. However, after Christmas, the daycare services were no longer available, which I believe was a violation of our contract. I have been attempting to cancel my membership since December through multiple phone calls and emails. Finally, I received a call today stating that my membership will be terminated, but I will still be charged a minimum of $300. While the gym has excellent equipment and a great location, I advise everyone to exercise caution when choosing a gym and not to choose this money-driven establishment.
Dre we appreciate you but we never "made" you sign a contract. You decided to enter an agreement. You have the option of an early termination of your agreement the one you signed and acknowledged you agreed to the terms and conditions of. We are happy to do so if you like and I believe our staff did respond to you with the same information. Again we are happy to assist if you need it. When I found out they had no openings for seniors workout i just thought ok I will go elsewhere. Well it was taken to a collection agency and they started calling. This went on for a few months. Finally phoned and talked to Sabbir and he was able to get me out of this contact and is letting the collection company. I am so appreciative. Thank you Sabbir. Your the best and very understanding.

Expérience négative: Horrible experience! Signed a 1 Year contract, in August 2021, for $25 biweekly. Was still charged after. Feb. 2023 charged an extra $2 bikweekly, equaling $27.84 per payment. Called Feb 9 and they said over the phone that my membership was completely done as I fought it for awhile. Now as of March 24, 2023 I’m still being charged and they said that I didn’t cancel even though a member from their team said it was cancelled. I just did my online application as they said That's the only way now. But there’s a 30-60 day turn around, which means that I will still be charged an extra $60-$115 before it cancels fully? Don’t buy a membership at any evolution fitness, go to SETS fitness, it’s way cheaper and you pay upfront. And way better environment.
Zayne, What you’ve stated above is absolutely false. Your membership has been active since the day you signed up, and we don’t do over the phone cancellations. As per our call this morning, you stated you thought it would end when your contract was up and you never actually put in a notice to terminate. You are well aware of what you agreed to, as you signed the contract 4 times and are now clearly trying to claim ignorance to get out of your financial obligations. You were sent a copy of your contract where you agreed to the following terms and conditions.1.You signed an 18 month contract on 08/09/2021 agreeing to pay $28.34 bi-weekly for a total of 39 payments.2. The terms of the contract state that you must give a 30 day written notice via registered mail before the expiry of the specified term to terminate this agreement otherwise it is renewed on the same terms and conditions with an increase in dues based on industry standards - You acknowledged you agreed to this by signing right below this statement.3. The renewal terms of the contract state that This agreement will auto renew on an open end, (month to month/non term) membership. Your biweekly rate will increase based on current industry standards or a minimum of $2.50 per biweekly payment. No notice is required for the membership to auto renew. If you want to cancel this membership at the end of the specified term, then you must submit a cancellation 30 days prior to the end of the term. - Again You acknowledged you agreed to this by signing right below this statement.4. The Bottom of the contract has an AGREEMENT SUMMARY which states: a) After the initial term of this contract is complete: you will continue to bill on an open ended (month to month/no term) membership. Your biweekly dues will increase by no less than $2.50. You must give us 30 days notice to cancel by mailing the letter into the address on your membership agreement or scheduling an appointment to speak with one of our Management team members. Which is now a simple online form. b) Early Termination: You may terminate your 1 or 2 year membership by paying $199+ GST if you are in the first half of your membership or $129+ GST if you are in the second half of your membership. 30 days notice will be required. - Again, You acknowledged you agreed to this by signing right below this statement.Now that you've followed the proper procedures, you will receive email confirmation of your final billing dates. Guys, first of all sorry for posting a long review but this is something which each one of planning to join Evolution Fitness, McCarthy, NormanView Location, Regina OR are a member of this gym, needs to know. I have been a victim of the FRAUD conducted by this GYM today. "I went to the gym in January 2023, enquiring about the Corporate Membership plan offered by the gym. The Receptionist said that she was not aware of thee T&Cs for Corporate Membership and she will get back to me with the details for the same. She mentioned that I need to fill up an online form with my details and the membership I am interested to know about so that she can get me the details, which she NEVER Reverted back. She also mentioned that my MEMBERSHIP will start once I share my Banking Details for the Auto Debit option for the membership and bi-weekly deductions. I confirmed her twice about it. After not hearing from her, I went ahead and started with other GYM (YMCA). It was in the month of June that I received an email stating that my bi-weekly payments are due and I need to deposit them. I also got calls for the same and I mentioned clearly that I have NOT USED the gym facilities even for 1 SINGLE DAY, then how come I need to pay this amount. The caller said that he/she will update in their records. Furthermore, I received an email in July mentioning that my dues were CAD 373, got the same kind of calls again and I told the same thing and I got to hear the same response. Now, GYM shared my details with Canada’s Collections Department and they created a pressure upon me to deposit CAD 913, all at a sudden without any reason. I spoke with the Collections department and the guy told me to meet the Manager of the Gym and get this sorted as they cannot charge if I have NOT USED the gym even for a SINGLE DAY and was MIS COMMUNICATED regarding the Membership payments deduction. When I visited the gym today (08/01/23) seeking support, the Gym GM did not agree to meet me. She in fact DID NOT even Speak with over the phone. She said I need to clear all my pending dues along with CANCELLATION CHARGES. Upon constant requests, I was threatened that if I go LEGAL I will not get anything and infact the CREDIT Department will keep my dues increasing multiple times. I requested them and kept on asking one single question that WHY SHOULD A CUSTOMER SUFFER DUE TO THE MISCOMMUNICATION FROM THE GYM EMPLOYEE but they just had one answer, YOU HAVE SIGNED THE AGREEMENT AND OUR MEMBERSHIP STARTS RIGHT AFTER THAT. Finally, for the actual dues that was CAD 373 (as per the email from GYM), which went o CAD 913 (as per the CREDIT COLLECTIONS Dept) I ended up paying CAD 519, for nothing, just for nothing” It’s an alarm for all those who are trusting EVOLUTION FITNESS Gym (NormanView, McCarthy, Regina) staff blindly. These people just know how to TORTURE someone and get their HARD-EARNED money without any reason. I will post this on each platform to make sure that there are NO MORE victims of this GYM and its staff. Also, I hope this review reaches the RIGHT person who may take my issue and help me to get my hard earned money back. This entire episode has created harassment for me and my family. I would be really grateful for this kind act.

I waited several months to ask about my cancelation after filling out the form because after filling out the form it told me I'd have to wait several months before my cancelation. That is in no way peculiar. Maybe the fact that my account has been in arrears is the reason I'm trying to cancel? And you are forcing me to stay in this contract for almost 120 days past my original cancelation attempt due to having to cancel twice now. Horrible business. Several months ago I went in to cancel my membership and they told me I had to do it online, so I went online and filled the form out. Several months later I send an email about it and they tell me I never canceled it. So now I have to fill out a second form and wait several more months in hopes of one day getting out of this gym. I see the owners are also responding to all negative reviews by deflecting blame and personally insulting individuals so I look forward to that.
Hi Conner Kezema,The purpose of members going online to fill out a cancellation form aside from the convenience, is so a paper trail is created for both the Member and the Club should any errors occur. If you followed the proper procedures, you will have received a confirmation email stating your cancellation request has been received, followed by another email detailing your last billing dates and when your account will officially be canceled. Kindly forward the confirmation email you received upon submission of your cancellation, and we will take the necessary steps to rectify the situation if there was indeed an error on our part.We are sorry to disappoint you if you came here looking forward to insults, we simply state facts, and if you find the facts insulting, that is of course your decision. Fact is, you claim to have submitted a cancellation request yet waited several months to ask for confirmation, which sounds very peculiar considering the fact your payments have bounced several times due to insufficient funds between October 2022 - January 2023. This is not something one simply does not notice if they believe they canceled their membership several months back.The one common theme with negative reviews in relation to cancellations is the person making the claim is typically behind in payments due to multiple NSF or has not followed the proper cancellation procedures and hopes that posting a negative review will dissuade us from holding them accountable for defaulting on their agreements. In your case, you check both boxes. We have no record of any cancellation requests and your account is and has been in arrears.As mentioned above, kindly forward any relevant information, and if indeed there was an error on our part, we will take the necessary steps to rectify the situation.

Expérience négative: Poorest managed gym, by owners, in Regina and western canada. Just to add / new owners don’t care about people using gym, just money coming in. Poor equipment, poor management. Best thing would be to close all these gym’s . Don’t trust them.
Dave we asked you to stop coming to club inebriated. We understand your upset because you were given a "special deal" by previous ownership. But we do not believe it's fair that you should pay less then everyone else. We understand you are upset but constantly harassing us and our staff is not going to change your situation.

Our procedure are straightforward for anyone willing to follow them. We are locally owned. Everything is fully transparent if you are responsible enough to adhere to what you acknowledge that you understood.
Expérience négative: New owners don't even turn the tvs on in the gym anymore, if you forgot you keytag you have to buy a new one, no exceptions apparently. Prices went up and quality went down. Steam room isint turned on until 7am when they open at 5. Gym staff don't properly repack weights properly anymore, nor do they show up at 5 consistently all in all will be switching back to the ywca as new owners ruined this Gym. Sincerely Logan elliott.

But could you please not mess up the bathroom and go to the extraordinary lengths of posting your mess on Facebook looking for sympathy. You are upset because you didn't bring a key tag...seriously lot of complaining over something so simple. We will cancel your membership if you wish, and wish all the best ….to you clearly, you don't appreciate the gym or the staff and have a lot of time to complain about something you agreed to but now dont want to adhere to, even though we have gone out of our way to help you out. New ownership isn't new, they have been there over three years.You have been a memeber since 2019. You know that we haven't changed anything in regards to the steam rooms. They are on at 5am. Equipment is reracked however common courtesy and proper gym etiquette is to rerack them as you finish using them. Our prices have actually gone down and we are considerably less then the Ymca in price, however they are a great place too and we hope they will provide you the service you need need as you supporting a non profit organization as well. Expérience positive: This gym is giving back to the entire city of Regina over 3 months of free fitness with professional trainers. Their membership is pocket friendly and they cater to early birds and night owls. Their staff appear knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend

Expérience positive: I signed with Evolution a few years ago because I liked the fact there was a facility in each part of the city (one close to home, two of them close to my workplaces, and one nearby campus) and AT THE TIME where (almost) all locations were opened 24 hours most days - which worked great for me as a Uni student and as a shift worker. I had a lot of friends who told me they USED to be a member at E.F... I now understand why it became past tense. There's such a lack in transparency even before I joined. Pressure you to sign and commit on the spot due to "limited time" or other "reasons" that are probably BS. A lot of hoops to jump through just to get ANYTHING done and they make it difficult to just place a hold on your account or make changes to your account except for if it prevents them from getting your $$ every two weeks. Even though the pandemic (my own precautions) has been a factor as to why I haven't gone for a workout at the facilities in a while, I will say that I have not been satisfied with the services (or lack there of) well before the pandemic. Likely cancelling my membership soon unless services and options improve, and/or hours return back to being 24h.
Expérience négative: Joined Evolution Normanview in hopes that paying more would provide better equipment and less “Smelly” clientele( they have signage reminding members that body odor will not be tolerated). I was sadly mistaken as quite often some equipment was in operable or required one to take items from another machine to make it work. As for those that lack basic hygiene(soap and water is cheap) I approached front counter staff about one individual who smelled like he was homeless and never washed his gym attire. They didn’t seem to concerned or wanting to enforce their “rules”. Cancelling membership was even more of a hassle as you must do it online or send “snail” mail requesting cancellation. Did the online process and waited over 30 days as it stated someone would reach out to me. After over 30 days elapsed with no phone call or email I put a stop payment on their fees. They responded by sending further monthly fees to a collection agency with still no acknowledgement of cancellation. At least I have their attention now.
Expérience négative: Worst Regina gym experience I've had! In January 2021 I reached out to Evolution Fitness looking for a new gym to join. I filled out an online registration form (as it was COVID and in-person services were limited) and signed a month-to-month contract with bi-weekly payments - a special they had at the time. After three visits to Evolution Fitness, I knew that the gym was not the right fit for me (my last visit was in March 2021) and contacted the original salesperson to let them know that I would like to cancel my plan. I was told that this would be no problem, I would simply finish my monthly billing cycle and then my membership would expire. Today (September 16, 2022) I received a call from Evolution fitness telling me that I was past due to pay them $153 and would be sent to collections if I did not make this payment. When I told her that I had cancelled my membership in March 2021, she said that there were no notes on my file and that I cannot cancel my plan without paying the "owing" amount, so they would continue to charge me. I tried to explain that I had not attended the gym and had cancelled, she was able to confirm that I had not attended since March 2021, however since there were no internal notes on my file that she had no other option than to send me to collections. I am not sure how it's my fault that their team didn't make notes on my file. I am one of many who have had a similar experience - check out their BBB listing and other reviews before you get caught in their trap and asked to pay a bunch of money for their mistake.
Hi Jennifer sorry to hear about your experience. We have a very clear policy that cancelation follow a specific format that is stated and acknowledged by you at sign up. As I'm sure you are aware you wouldn't be able cancel your rent or license or insurance by simply phoning in to do so. You would need to verify and confirm your identity as well as receive confirmation of such cancelation in writing. There no process in which anyone has the ability to cancel via phone without a specific cancelation process first being initiated through the online service. No individuals working for us are given any other way in which to accommodate your cancelation. You may have been dealing with the previous ownership group that is now insolvent. We do not reflect those previous experience or policies we are by the book.We would be happy to work with you to assist, however your acknowledgment of the facts has to be the starting point.
Expérience négative: So horribly dirty! There was literal dried gum on one of the cardio machines for weeks despite it being reported to staff multiple times that it was there. The management is brutal, they claim full transparency but are so disorganized they aren’t able to be transparent. When my partner and I signed up they put me under his payment method without asking me how I would like to set up my payment. My partner tried to cancel his membership and they made it as complicated as possible, and management WAS NOT transparent about the hassle it would be to cancel the membership when we signed up. They 100% have the ability to cancel your membership at the front desk but will instead refer you to a discrete place on their website where you are supposed to submit for a membership cancelation and then the management will contact you to officially cancel your membership; that is if they even call which did not happen in my partners case. And even after you make contact with management you are still required to pay for month after you want to cancel. Absolutely brutal. Not worth $50 a month.
Karlyn we are sorry for your experience or perhaps that of your partner. However we are fully transparent your partner would have acknowledged their full understanding of the agreement and your cancelation process start date is as of the date of submission online not the date of a appointment call the appointment call it to confirm your cancelation not the start of it. It is all in the agreement and easy enough to read unless you didn't bother. We highly doubt there was an issue with the cardio machine we know our staff is continuously cleaning we are one of only a few facilities that have full time cleaners. In fact our facilities are so clean that SHA heald four vaccine drives at them. If we were clean enough for them we are pretty sure we are clean enough for most. We appreciate your upset but you have to take responsibility for your agreement when you have acknowledged your understanding in writing. Cancelation policy and process is very easy to follow we don't even require you to come in club like many facilities do it online and it's simple.

I have all text pictures saved in my email when I sent text to Taylor.. I didn’t came for single time and I never come after that but, I received email on 4 march 2021 , you have to pay $282 for 5 bi weekly , membership and enhancement fee.. even I said already to tayor on next 27 oct 2020 on call and text for cancellation about join the evolution... but they do only scam and fraud if u want to visit just once a time as a visitor.. I never recommend to go over there ..

Expérience négative: Male change rooms are down for a minimum of two hours a day because they have females inside cleaning and refuse to hire a male cleaner. If you plan to work out during lunch time don’t be surprised to not be able to have shower access.

I posted my review before 7 month about evolution fitness that is located in North Regina.Guys, I received collection email and call of $916 . That is totally fraud with me , I never join this fitness centre from first day ,meanwhile i am just came as visitor for getting information of fitness plan because I received call from here, Taylor said to me, if you join the evolution before 29 October 2020 then he gave good plan . I visited on 26 October after that I don’t like plan and I said that I need time to think about your offer. He said as well if you not choose before 29 October then plan is not valid and it will be expired after 29 October.I never visit after 26 October 2020. After four month , I I received one email of payment that is also mention in my past review that is 7 month old by Garryhundal. I didn’t know why the make bill every month because according to the deal of Taylor, I didn’t choose plan until 29 October 2020. He also said that it will close if you will not choose before 29 oct . I have saved text in my email that already sent at that time . I will sue against your fitness centre and management. You are playing scam with people . I am victim of your trap and you are making foolish to everyone. I will make complaint against your centre in the collection and dispute department and show the text massage that sent by your Taylor. I never recommend to anyone if they think about to join evolution fitness.
Expérience négative: Canceled membership by phone appointment August of 2020. Have had 6 additional payments pulled from my account since then. Evolution admitted to unauthorized charges, but have yet to refund me. It us just over $138.00. More than 15 emails back and forth requesting a refund. Never a missed payment, never in arrears. See you in court.
Expérience négative: I was utterly disappointed in their customer service relation. The way they handle things is not flexible and very rigid. Just imagine this, my bf cancelled both of memberships and returned both tags. 4 months after this cancellation, we realized that they were still charging his account for my membership, and their excuse was that he did not schedule a separate appointment to cancel mine, meanwhile he was the one paying for both memberships. After all this, they still insisted that the money charged for the gym that hadn't been access in 4 months could not be refunded. This was around $280. I would never recommend this gym to anyone!
Expérience positive: Good gym. Has everything you need and isn't packed. I didnt like the selling tactics of the establishment itself. I was offered a 10 day free trial. Which was in reality a full contract which had to be cancelled within 10 days. Not a trial. Luckily I value my physical health and decided to keep the membership and enjoy the facilities of the gym. Employees are a bit too full of themselves as well haha. Just my opinion. Good gym tho. Go.
Expérience négative: Buyer beware of the new owners at Evolution. I tried to renew my membership which was paid every 6 months for over the last 10 years and was refused. I was told to pay monthly with access to my bank account or pay $680 a year on a monthly contract. The last 6 months my rates were raised from $400 a year to $625. Now they want more claiming no more side deals. Since when is paying full price a side deal? They just want in your bank account. I see reviews of people not able to get out of their contracts why would I want that? Side note : You would think with all the over crowding in the gym that memberships would be more reasonable. So much for putting members and fitness first they just want your money. Too bad.
Expérience fantastique: Amazing gym! The staff are incredibly friendly and the machines are cleaned very well. They offer class, have weights and cardio machines. There are also steam rooms and showers available. They also have a women's only section which is greatly appreciated for warm ups, weight machines and cardio machines. Monthly payments are reasonable for this great location. They offer parking in the front and behind the building.

The front desk team of Sarah and Karla were beyond loved by everyone who encountered them! Matt R in the South was hilarious and had a great soul and Skye bought me a amazing cake before I left Hah It was delicious! I probably should have left this review way sooner but I got caught up travelling and having fun but if you are looking to start a healthy life style change and be more active this is the place!
Expérience fantastique: This evolution is awesome. Large enough gym for many people with lots of equipment. Depending on the time you go will depend on how busy the gym is. I go around 9am to 10am and it isnt busy at all. Staff is very nice and if you read this before June 20th. Machines are socially distanced. If youre reading this after restrictions and things are normal... enjoy the freedom.

Expérience positive: EDIT - Almost immediately after posting this review, a manager called me from this location and honestly fixed the entire issue within minutes with me. When I signed my contract two years prior, it was with someone who not only no longer works there, but personally assured me that once my contract was DONE, I would no longer be charged. Shortly after, the contracts were changed and that's where the issue arose, they did not know who signed me up, nor what he absolutely promised me. Skye made things very right with me, and allowed me to explain my frustrations, and I also heard him out as he wanted to clear up some things on his end. All in all, everything is taken care of thanks to a FAST ACTING manager. For that, 3 stars. One-star due to having to make a selection. Terrible customer service, not helpful at all, or friendly either once you ask for a manager... and their customer contracts are a complete joke. My personal experience with them is just as bad as when they were under Gold's Gym still. They make it near to impossible to cancel a gym contract. Sent in my letter to cancel over a week and a half ago. I attended maybe 8 times total, due to health issues had to cease going and decided to just continue paying the monthly fees as it was too much work trying to get them to cancel. Contract ended, they still continued to access my bank account and take payments, so I called and they told me they just keep rolling the payment over. No notice, no email no letter from them. Then I get informed that I am still in charge of paying the recent bill they sent me for the month of December which firstly, isn't over, and secondly its all their own processing fees. Not surprised at all, and wish I never would have signed up with them. $1,100 completely wasted. Told the manager I blocked them from accessing my bank account as I didn't authorize the rollover, and she then informed me it would be sent to collections. Brutal.

Expérience positive: I really like the layout and equipment at this gym. There's lots of very fit people who are in amazing shape that go to this gym too! I really like that the cardio equipment faces into the gym and all in one direction. I also like the sufficient placement of mirrors. I definitely recommend this over the other evolution gyms, but Evolution is a little too pricy for my tastes ($50/month,$19/biweekly).

In 2018 they bought out Fitness For 10 and California Fitness, stopping at no length to alienate their new and existing customers. Staff / trainer turnover, long down times on steam room, and near capacity equipment has me questioning my loyalty to Evolution Fitness.
Expérience négative: For years I have trained here when I come into town to visit my family... because it is so close to my parents home. I can't believe that this gym still does not provide wifi to/for its members. (And the cell service at this location absolutely sucks) This is such a basic/standard service that is a no brainer. If I move back to Regina I would not buy a membership here for that reason alone. Also, a Personal Trainer was wearing a ball cap while training clients today.... that would never be acceptable in my gym.
Expérience négative: EDIT: so i sent an email almost immediately after receiving that reply. and it has now been TWO hours and i still have not heard anything back. been trying for THREE weeks to get a hold of someone to cancel my membership. called the gym numerous times, spoken to people, left messages no return calls. emailed many times and no email back. i came into the gym to drop off a letter only to be told that i cannot do it that way which is ridiculous. i then mailed the letter and still nothing. i am frustrated and now having to pay more money for a membership that i do not use! this is the worst service i have ever had. 0 stars if i could give it. i will continue to try and get a hold of someone but seriously this is insane.
Expérience négative: POOR SERVICE :- Online site mentions gym closing time to be 12:00 a.m. but they closed it at 11:30 p.m. Around 10:45 p.m gym staff started turning off lights. Staff member mentioned that he was scheduled only till 11:30 p.m. They do not deliver the services as promised. SAFETY ISSUES:- Screws keep coming off from the deadlift platform from all the sides, notified the management about it but it is still the same even after 4 weeks. Notified the staff about it 3 times but with no results. Be safe while working out, especially when carrying 45s plate. One can easily trip and fall. Almost had a fall once. POOR CLEANLINESS :- Gym mirror are most of the time dirty. They cannot even fix their wall clock. Not happy with the services.

Signed an agreement years ago and when I recently question the rates based on what I had agreed to they were "unable" to provide original agreement. In stead provided a more recent agreement in which they signed for me. I requested to cancel my contract after many years and was told I needed to provide 30 days notice which I never agreed to.
Expérience fantastique: I was initially a bit scared when my gym shut down and I got switched to Evolution, but it's well worth what you pay for your membership. The staff is helpful, the facilities are up to date, and the classes are great.
