Expérience négative: My experience in the gym was good equipment wise. But the girl at the desk, I think her name is Lola? She wasn’t wearing a name tag and did not greet me with a good afternoon when I came. She also did not smile nor even tried to acknowledge the fact that I was there, being polite.

Expérience fantastique: Absolutely amazing and kind staff. First time ever, and honestly gave me the experience that any gym SHOULD be doing. Free day pass, showed me the facility and was super kind. Much better then majority of main stream gyms such as Goodlife. If you want to build a body or have a goal that you are trying to reach related to health, MOTION FITNESS IS THE WAY TO GO.

Expérience fantastique: This is a fantastic gym providing above average equipment, fitness classes and other extras. Red light therapy, tanning and massage chairs. All of this for a VERY affordable monthly rate. The staff is exceptional here in Red Deer and go out of their way to support their members.

Expérience fantastique: Was visiting from Calgary, did a drop in yesterday at motion fitness timberlands. Loved the atmosphere, gym was quite clean and staff was friendly and welcoming. My favourite part of the gym was red light therapy and hydro massage chairs. Will visit soon.

Expérience fantastique: I have been attending Motion Fitness and after being in various clubs through western Canada it is where we have chosen to call Motion fitness home. The place is spotless, from young to old I believe smiles are standard issues that add to an already great athletic atmosphere. The front staff are always respectful and can always come up to a solution and the right plan for my diverse travel schedule. Big out to Gerry! A professional host, supervisor and a safe / approachable member to speak with just trying for their first time in the gym. Always a pleasure working out here. Bruce

Expérience positive: The gym is okay. Very strange they don't put clothes at the multiple areas they have set up at the gym - they make you pick it up at the front, and carry it around. Weird set up, and feels like laziness on the staffs part. The biggest issue is that it requires an app to go in - the app is irritating to the extreme. From blocking you out from logging in without hitting "X" 3 times, to forcing you to try to rate it, to sometimes glitching out and not working- it is frustrating front to back. An absolutely insane system that didn't need fixing - a key tag would have done the job better, faster, and easier on your customers. The Spa isn't a spa - it's two tanning beds and 3 massage chairs. If that's a Spa, I'm the next King of England. Equipment is good, good set of weights. Not clear direction on where mats are for ground work. There's an area that says "ABS AREA" but it doesn't have any mats around it - and there's just one machine there that works on your abs. Weird.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been attending Jerry’s kickboxing class and it deserves all the praises! Jerry works with you throughout the process whether you’re a beginner or experienced! Jerry is such an amazing instructor! He makes sure you’re doing it at your own pace all the while pushing you to get better; it might be intimidating at first but like any other firsts, once you get the hang of it, you’ll be more confident & comfortable with it! I recommend members and guests to join & try his class!

Expérience fantastique: First time at a Motion Fitness location. In town for 4 days visiting family. Gym was close and convenient. The facility was big and open. Great natural light as well. Great equipment and everything worked. Drop in registration was quick and easy, staff was friendly. Everything was clean as well! I'll be back 2 more times this trip, and returning in the future!

Expérience fantastique: Coach Jerry is amazing! He trains you through all the moves with proper explanation and pushes you when it's time to get tough. My son and I attend his classes every week, and we love it. It is such a great workout addition to my regular training.

Expérience négative: This gym is dirty. Maybe it’s because all the staff are men and don’t care about detail. There have been balls of hair in the same spots for months, it’s gross. There is more to maintenance than keeping equipment clean you know. The change rooms are disgusting.

Expérience fantastique: Started about 3-4 years ago in the UFC gym on a Timberlands and then continue in a Motion same location . Since than never had any problems with those guys , a lot of space friendly and professional team. Especially Rachelle , incredibly fit ,beautiful woman and professional trainer, good motivator, and example to follow! Also, I would like to imention Jery mortal arts coach, I trained before in a different gyms and different country's and I can say he is one of the best. Don't hesitate to stop by ,and check it out

Expérience négative: I have been overcharged for an entire year from Motion. I have been arguing for 4 weeks and they will not refund but credit me back which is unacceptable..there is no moral values to the company . I have gone thru the front desk ( who are amazing ) to Coralie the financial lady in sask to Hussein himself the owner. No one has any cares for such a grand mistake and no morals to fix it. I have been going to this gym since it opened therefore I have been a very loyal daily client and I will no longer step foot there and recommend anyone else follow suit. They overcharge constantly but this entire year overcharge is beyond me to not be returned.

Expérience fantastique: I highly recommended this gym. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The facilities are well equipped and very clean. I even enrolled a personal trainer with Rachel. She gave me the program to help me to lose weight, build muscle and improve stamina. I highly recommended Rachel as my personal trainer.

Expérience fantastique: I have been to several gyms in my life and I gotta say this is by far the best. I have been here 4 maybe 5 years now. I really am happy that the ufc side is now full gym equipment. I believe that fits the general public better. I do wish some of the machines were different versions, but overall it is good. The staff is really good. I have dealt with Jerry and Rachel during my time and they are always full of energy / peppy. Thanks guy.

Expérience fantastique: The facility's clean, staffs are approachable, and the equipments are complete. They have a whole floor for running/cardio machines. They even have complimentary massage rooms for muscle sores.

Expérience négative: They do not cancel memberships and i just realized i have been being billed for over a year. I asked them to send me the email to cancel my account and am still waiting an hour later. When i was attending the gym i just wanted a few short sessions with a personal trainer and then they put me on a BMI machine that was not meant for a giant sized person, as i am a very large individual so the reading was not accurate. I am not under any illusions about my health it wasnt calibrated for someone of my stature though. Point being they were desperately trying to upsell me when all i needed was a little help. Then i ask how much and how many. Buddy tells me “well how much you got?”. Forgive me if i am unfamiliar with how things are done but do these trainers not how price guides or hourly fees for services? So many better places to go honestly but you wont find a work out as strenuous as wrestling them over your wallet.

I have called many time to cancel my membership and told them due to some medical issues and being out of town I can’t keep the membership and I want to cancel. But they are keep sending me the Emails theta I have to pay. I paid and cleared all bills but still keep getting emails from your gym. Also I end up paying the services then you cancelled my membership . I have been requesting from July that I need to cancel and you cancelled this mknth. after i paid. please ask your front desk to send me an email staring that my bills are clear. and stop sending me emails.please.

Expérience négative: Canceled my membership was told that there would be one more payment coming out due to when I Canceled and that I could use the facilities until Oct 23 (i was fine with that). They charged me what was supposed to be my last time and I was fine. I look at my bank statement on Nov 25th and discovered that they charged me 34.64 on Nov 23rd a month after my supposed last payment. I'm happy I caught this early and didn't let them continue to charge me but bad on them for not stopping payments.

Expérience négative: Prices have skyrocketed. I can't believe I went from paying $5/biweekly to $32.99/biweekly over the last 4 years. As well, I tried to cancel my membership on multiple occasions and they continued to charge me. To the extent that on a NO CONTRACT membership, they have taken me into collections over my overdue account balance that they continued to charge me after I had already cancelled my membership. as well as them continuously charging me when you do not even have access to the gym once you've missed one payment. and without them contacting me in any way to try to settle things before sending me to collections. I will NEVER partake in this, disgustingly immature, company's memberships ever again.

Expérience fantastique: This gym has everything I need...Olympic platforms.. bumper plates...and a functional fitness area. The staff are very friendly and they keep the equipment and the gym Uber clean. Highly recommend this gym for anyone who wants to lift in a friendly environment!

They have friendly staff, the gym is clean and organized the membership allows you to use all features offered at the gym. The only thing I don't like is when the membership prices changed I was not notified of the change. Overall a great gym.

Expérience positive: My boys have memberships here, I went to workout with them and Motion offered me a punch pass for 3 visits as opposed to paying the walkin fees. I really appreciated that. Great gym, excellent equipment and not too busy at all. Had a really nice workout, if I was in town most of the time I would have a membership.
