Expérience fantastique: I do kickboxing at Topp Performance which I LOVE, but this place is an awesome little gym that's very close by for regular workouts, it's always clean, people are always respectful and the staff is wonderful. It's definitely my safe space. Thank you guys for being awesome!!

Expérience négative: So just had horrible experience at this place have been going here for a while loved it mainly cause as a single parent they let me bring my son in no problem they've even invited him to yoga . Well today this lady who said it's her frist day decided it was a problem wanted me to sign a waiver for him and then proceed to tell me that's how it's always been. Am upset will be calling to speak to someone tomorrow.

Expérience fantastique: Simply the best!! Lakeshore Recreation has always gone above and beyond, but especially in these times of Covid. They put every membership on hold. In the past, they have offered up their class space as a safe walking alternative to anyone in the community during the winter. Ann, Gordie and the entire staff have worked tirelessly to update the gym and make it as safe as possible to allow us to continue staying active. Everyone who works there is so down to earth and are always supportive and positive. It’s time we support them! Let’s rally as a community to do anything we can after last nights storm and the devastation Lakeshore has experienced.

Expérience fantastique: Love the Lakeshore. Wow so happy with all the new upgrades!!! The place looks amazing. All new flooring in the gym cool paint job lots of new equipment. It’s the dream gym. Love all the classes. Staff is amazing. Thanks for working so hard during COVID for all the updates and for keeping us safe.

Expérience négative: I’ve always been a little bit jaded paying for my membership at lakeshore rec. The facilities are outdated and grimy for the premium rates they charge. They are aware that they have monopoly on the gym industry in port so it seems like they put 0 effort into buying new weights/equipment. Covid19 brought some challenges to this industry no doubt, but I am not happy with their changes to the hours. I bought my membership thinking I could work out on weekends and now they just put an end to that. If I payed for 7 days a week I somewhat expect that. I hope they have regular hours established before they unpause everyone’s memberships, because that would be downright shady. The only positive about this place is that the staff is always friendly. Fingers crossed a new gym opens up so I can workout on some descent equipment.

Expérience positive: Not a bad place to exercise but the equipment is dated and so is the gym. Not worth the price but there are not many competitors in Port Elgin.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym even when you're use to the big city gyms. Great atmosphere and staff; Louise is amazing and truly cares about your needs and wants of a gym. Super impressed with my overall experience. Locker room and shower area was very clean as well.
