Expérience fantastique: Was visiting Penticton and needed a place to work out. Staff was friendly at the front and got a free pass first day to check it out. Equipment was in really good shape and the gym felt super clean. Lots of equipment to choose from and a ladies only room if you want. Returned for a few more workouts and easy to get a day pass for $15. Would definitely recommend.

Expérience positive: Decent machines . Decent equipment . Mostly everything you need ! Great environment. Downsides : the steam room is shotty. The door dosnt seal properly let's steam out.. The price of the membership is alright but you should not have to pay extra to access the massage beds ! Lots of other gyms around the area offer massage chairs and tables free of charge if you are a member ! Which in turn makes this membership expensive if you want all the bells and whistles !

Expérience fantastique: I started working out in October of 2022, and it is always lovely to come in; everyone is always very considerate! I started training with Dan four weeks ago, and he is a fantastic trainer. He puts a lot of work into making sure his clients are safe and getting the most out of every workout, as well as being a joy to train alongside. In the short weeks I have been training with him, I have seen a lot of improvement in every aspect of my sessions, from the weight that I'm lifting to my confidence in the workouts that I am doing! Expérience fantastique: I love this gym! I joined this gym a couple of months ago, after being unhappy at my last gym. There’s tons of equipment and several different areas to workout in. The facility is always clean and tidy and the staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Expérience fantastique: Update : It takes courage to apologize for a misunderstanding and I want to thank Benjamin for calling me today and making things right. I received a call today and he was able to see that I had only used 2 of the 10 passes that I purchased in Dec 2022. I really appreciate that it wasn't someone else, but Benjamin himself who called me. He said that they have given me an extension until Dec 2024 which should give me plenty of time to use these passes when I return the Penticton. I mostly do calisthenics and the gym has some of the better body weight equipment that I have worked with while traveling around for work. I'm looking forward to returning to the gym and having a great work out at World Gym Penticton. Thanks again to Benjamin for making things right. I had initially praised this gym when I first came here in Dec 2022 and purchased a 10 punch pass. I let them know how I was from Edmonton and that I travel for work. I finally had work back in Penticton so I went to the gym again today and when I went to sign in, I was told that I didn't have any passes under my name. Benjamin looked up my account and confirmed that I had paid for passes back in Dec of 2022 and asked me "What month is it now?" and answered it himself with "it's August, 8 months since you purchased your 6 month passes." I explained to him that I was never made aware that there was an expiry, and if I was made aware, that I would have never purchased them to begin with. Benjamin could have avoided this whole review but he insisted that there was nothing he could do even though he was the manager. He said that I can do a drop in to get in. No Benjamín, you've already taken my money and what you are doing is basically theft. There are better gyms that have way better customer service associates that know how to deal with people. When refusing to do a drop in, I responded to Benjamin that I was not interested and that I would just come and write this honest bad review. They also won't let you take gym bags on the floor, so if you're someone who brings some of your own props or equipment, it's not for you. Stay far away for this place.

Expérience positive: Not necessarily the fault of the owners of the gym nor the management of the establishment, but if you’ve the type of person that appreciates natural light, looking out the windows while walking on a treadmill or even simply being able to see if it starts snowing during the hour you’re working out… well unfortunately this is certainly not the gym for you. My guess is being that it was primarily a racquet club before a gym, quite literally the only windows are the ones by the front door. I have not noticed if there are a skylight or two, but once you walk through the front door, the whole place might as well be subterranean. Also, not stating this as opinion whatsoever, merely fact, but there are certain times of the day where, although the weight training rooms are designated “women’s only”, upstairs, and “co-ed” downstairs; & I think that’s super awesome to provide women a safer place to workout with ideally less judgment hopefully allowing ladies that were too nervous before a place to come and build confidence.. im totally 100% for it. But in reality it ends up being almost exclusively men downstairs and women upstairs & again , that’s a statement of fact only. But it does contribute to both the energy and the atmosphere (or lack there of) at times when it’s a gym full of 16-20 year old boys grunting and on their phones.. if I were a lady, not a chance would I come workout around that when the energy and whole environment is better in the ladies only section. Just my two cents. Other than those two things I mentioned, and completely overlooked when I joined a year ago, it was sufficient enough but by no means mind blowing.

I inquired with your facility in regards to a drop in fee. Once they found out my circumstances they said there would be no charge. Greatly appreciated as this is a good stress relief for me. Expérience fantastique: Was in town visiting and came for a drop. The first visit was free which was awesome. The gym is clean and had all the equipment I was after. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I asked about the locations of items. They have a smoothie bar as well and I got a protein smoothie after my workout. The smoothie was great and fairly priced.

The owner was helpful and the facility is clean, spacious, and has everything I need. Prices are fair and I’m looking forward to coming here regularly and trying out their Olympic lifting classes.

The courts are very true, well maintained and incredibly clean along with the rest of the club. I know it has been tough on the fitness industry these past 2 years. Lots of cardio machines and equipment. 2 squat racks and it's never so busy you can't get one. Best leg press I've ever used as well. Great for the hammies as the angles are perfect!

(including the cardio equipment) Vibe was meh (if that matters to you) I guess if you predominantly play squash then this would be the place to go as it has 2 courts. Classes can't comment because not my thing. I found it very very odd that there is a pub/restaurant attached to this fitness center as well. The smell of food cooking while I'm working out is weird and kinda gross. It seems like the new owners focused too much on the pizza restaurant and completely forgot about the "fitness" part of this business Staff seemed very nice and change rooms etc were clean but small. Overpriced memberships considering all the short comings. Club needs a major overhaul to charge that much per month. Better places to work out in Penticton but this will get the job done.

Expérience négative: What a waste of time! Went here thinking it was a legit World Gym. Before you waste your time - it isn't. I'm not sure how they are able to use the World Gym name. Maybe World Gym has lowered their standards? Anyway took the tour then immediately walked out and worked out down the road at a better gym. Its small, equipment is ancient and just plain bad. Don't waste your time.

Classes are great, fair variety, some book up very quickly. Very hard/impossible to make a racquetball booking in the winter between 4-8pm weekdays.
