Hi Kevin, we're sorry to hear you and your wife had a negative experience in our facility. The manager you discussed this matter with is no longer with World Gym. All repairs necessary are being taken care of by our new management and we are happy to discuss the status of your account as there seems to be some miscommunication regarding the termination of your wife's agreement.If there is any issue regarding payment, our management reaches out by phone call, email and text message to the information on your membership account, on a weekly basis. If all points of contact go unanswered for an extended period of time, our contract details state that your account will be forwarded to a third party collections agency to recover any amount owing as our attempts to contact you were unsuccessful. Prior to this action, final notices informing you of this are again sent by phone call, email and text message to the information on your account. We understand this can be frustrating, and we hope we are able to provide you with further clarification or solutions regarding this issue. Hey Jake, thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the negative experience you have had with your membership cancellation and we are sorry to see you go. Thank you for choosing us as your gym and for the positive acknowledgment of a time you had as a member for the 4 months while you were in North Bay. Unfortunately, the 60-day cancellation notice is a policy we have from our corporate office of which was stated in the contract of all of our memberships when signing up. As for the one-year commitment-we do offer a different contract for a no-commitment cancellation with a 60-day notice. This contract is, however, a different weekly cost and if notified at the beginning of sign up it would not of made sense to offer the one-year commitment. We apologize again for the misunderstanding but we do mention all this information on the contracts upon sign up and we hope our members can be transparent with their situations so we can make sure we offer the right memberships that will best suite their needs and to provide in the health and fitness goals of all our members.
