Expérience négative: Not response to call several times, Not response to E-mail. And there is only one program to swim with my children. Only 1hour.

Expérience négative: If I could give Zero star I would. I Payed a biweekly enrolment for my kid and was so disappointed and unsatisfied. We sent the whole day for the activities mentionned in the schedule and surprisingly NO ACTIVTY except the pool. The swimming class lasts 30mins only for one week and all they are teached is to jump in the water ? I've never seen such bulshit ! I would never recommend this place.

Expérience fantastique: Signed up one of my grandsons in aquatics towards achieving his Bronze Cross level. Very friendly and helpful staff at the Y.

Expérience positive: YMCA = young men's christian association. Right. I might not be so flagrantly against organized religion as Professor Dawkins but make no mistake - this is a modern institution with just as many kiddie pool parties as it does public swimming lanes. At the risk of acusing its staff of the kind of chiseled athletic bodies that might border on Marshall law, planning the audio system in this place would seem a moot point when everyone is either tuning into their pockets or plugging into the Machine Technogym Youtube experience - but the stereo, like the chilled performant air is scrumptuous. Personally I love nothing more than arriving here on slow days, never exactly sure what time it is after a 4-hour run and into the most luxurious view that the city allows from a "thermal pool" with tai-chi postures hung up on the wall in vietnamese style that I only mention to contrast with the chinese style of tai-chi that you might seriously find in major city parks, outside and showing how ridiculously fit their 70-year old bodies are. But that's a lost art and in line with traditional YMCA values, the fountain of youth at this place is found in balancing just enough hatred for the remaining fat cells in your body with the refreshing cafe and a conversation with the front-line heroes spreading health-conscious culture from the middle. Don't use the electronic lockers - I think some of the kids might have electro-magnetic zappers and doohickeys.

Expérience positive: A very nice facility, staff are dolgent and friendly. For an older facility I found it very clean. However, for such a busy and thereby great economic value for a YMCA, their member plus policy is perplexing. I have been to 4 YMCA’s in Canada the previous year. This is the only member plus I have seen with no towel service even though it obviously makes more money based upon a very high usage case

Expérience négative: Horrible gym. The staff of the gym are rude, not only that, I’ve had a lot of issues trying to signing up in the gym when their interest should be having more members right? Well apart from that I found all the staff rude they were so rude even though that I didn’t do anything to them. The other day, I was wearing flip flops and they told me that I wasn’t allowed to wear them, totally understandable but the problem comes when there’s people that day by day comes with slippers and nobody says anything. I’ve been using the services of this gym for one month and I’ve had multiple problems.

Expérience positive: I swim laps every week. I really appreciate the facilities, but it can be, at times, hard to focus while swimming. The lap swim times are used like public swims. At times, there are people/kids cutting across lanes. Life guards are generally good at addressing these issues. i believe it's a YMCA culture thing. I learned to navigate that and not to sweat the small things. My opportunity to use the gym is 7:30-8:30pm. It is loaded with teenagers/groups and hard to find available machines. Other times I went were very pleasant and less busy. My issues are also my joys. Im glad to see a very kid inclusive environment. Kids should be exposed to a active lifestyle. YMCA should keep doing what they are doing!

Expérience négative: Very disappointed that the hot tub and steam room can only be accessed through an elite membership. And judging by the reviews, these facilities are not well maintained either. To me that feels like blatent discrimination towards lower income community members. How is it justified that only the wealthy "elite" members have access to these services? I live 30 mins away from Moncton and cannot justify paying for a regular membership, nevermind an extra fee. The day passes are expensive enough that they should cover all areas of the faciliy.

Expérience fantastique: i bought a pass for the week during my business trip and i have to tell you that i'm really surprised and happy to have taken advantage of this YMCA as soon as it was set up. the equipment is in great condition and there's everything you need at the gym. it's not crowded in the morning and the people are really nice. for $35 (which is really cheap) i really enjoyed and appreciated the experience. i highly recommend this YMCA if you're in moncton and i'll be back for more on my next visit in december!

Expérience fantastique: Staff are always so helpful and informative, the cafe is so well priced with really delicious homemade food, and the facilities themselves are pristine! There's even a free library from the rotary club near the front desk if you're taking a break from working out but forgot to bring a magazine! One of my absolute favourite spots in Moncton, especially since it's only a couple of blocks away if you want to shop at the discount bulk food items store (I'll have to look at recent locations to remember the name, but it's cheaper than Costco on some things and doesn't require a membership, so it's a nice outdoor jog from this YMCA) before/during/after your visit.

Expérience négative: Twice applied for a discount, the first time they did not call for a month, and then it turned out that they demanded more information. The next time I brought proof of my and wife's income, they called back the next day, but they refused. Three times I was denied information about who can claim the discount. I believe that such information should be available, public. I spent a lot of time to collect evidence of who earns how much, come, etc., you can immediately see whether it is worth doing this if you know who can claim a discount and who cannot. When I called back and expressed my dissatisfaction, I was switched to a robot who told me irrelevant information for a long time in two languages. Then, after I called back again, I was told that the manager would find out and call back, and most importantly, he would be able to provide simple information about who can claim a discount and with what income. Mrs. Bernadette Davidson explained that she could not send me the information by e-mail due to computer security issues. It seems that I called FBI, Mi 5/6 not YMCA. Whether to make discounts or not is their internal policy, but hiding the criteria for who can apply is incompatible with the democracy rating attributed to Canada.

Expérience positive: I have a one year experience using YMCA Moncton (the one in the center). Everything is good so far. Some people who work here are very attentive, others not very interested, but at least doing their job. I can't really give a broad review as all I can use in this facility is limited to where I can go with my little child. I can't go to the hot bath although I want to. Also I was so traumatized by interaction with YMCA Fredericton that I still feel something resembling PTSD. It was a complete misunderstanding, a lot of unpleasant conversations with many high and low position employees and terrible aftertaste. So here, in Moncton, I decided not to get involved into any membership always paying for one day passes. Usually the best feeling I get from greetings by one senior lady working at the reception. She is super sweet and warmhearted. I haven't seen her for a while and couldn't check her name for this review. In all YMCAs it would be wonderful to have a person who really can tell you about the options available specifically those which fit your needs. That was the problem in Fredericton where it was me who end up paying for misleading assistance provided by some associates.

Expérience négative: The men plus locker room, showers, hot tub and steam room very dirty. Complain many time nothing change. The showers, hot tub not been clean for the past 3 weeks. I m not the only one who complains, but they don't care.

Expérience fantastique: Loving this YMCA (though I wonder why it's not labled as YMWCA). Always clean here, whether in an exercise room, washrooms, front desk, hallways; it's always clean. I appreciate this place keeping a supply of soap in the shower rooms (should I ever forget mine). Also appreciate that every fitness room has spray sanitizers with paper towels to wipe down the equipment. Staff and fellow patrons are always pleasant. Every instructor I've been guided under has been extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They always walk the talk and set prime examples for each of us. I never tire of coming to this gym and have the utmost regard for all that work here. Thank you for being a reliable source for getting/being fit.

Expérience positive: Three fun pool areas for young children and older adults. A cycling exercise area and large gymnasium and the pool are on the first floor with the exercise and workout area upstairs. They offer open daycare services too.

Expérience négative: BE CAREFUL! Once you decide to cancel your membership, it won't be an easy thing, and they will charge you bi-weekly fee anyway, even after cancellation. And we will not return it to you. Cheaters.

Expérience positive: If you want to swim and add other sports to your activity list, this is the place. The gym is good but it might seem a bit old. Staff is very friendly and polite, they will help you whenever you need help. They have lockers so you can lock your bags and other gym stuff but make sure you get your own lock. The gym is small so timing is crucial, usually busy from 5 PM to 8 PM and 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Pool timings can be seen on the brochure.

Expérience positive: It's a great place but really annoyed with the showers I take my kids for swimming and you have to sign them in and out but on the way you have to walk right in the middle of dads standing around chatting while mom's shower theirs kids so at that time 2 mom's 2 dad's and 3 kids ( during you must wear a mask) no one had on a mask and it's very closed in space. Why can't you just take your kid home and shower? Just frustrating having to squeeze by these dad and actually have to step in the shower while soap flying from mom scrubbing kids hair, and kids jumping around splashing their sister or whoever. Fun times!!!

Expérience négative: The edge of the pools are dirty and if kids/teens go in the deep end the could possibly drown also me my sister and my mom went to open swimming in the evening we HAD TO STAY IN THE KIDDY POOL AND MY MOM COULDN'T EVEN GO IN THE HOT TUB WHICH IA RIGHT NEXT TO THE KIDDY POOL AND NO ONE WAS IN THE BIG POOL

Expérience négative: The weight and exercise equipment is nice and good and that is about it. The classes are excruciatingly boring. No music fun energy dance classes or spinning nothing. Swimming classes for children are hit and miss. The teachers seem to be left on their own without. Had my daughter 2 months in a swim class were the teacher only left the children to play in the pool without teaching anything about swimming. Disapointed will be looking for a new place
