Expérience positive: It is a clean gym there are good and bad with all gyms.This one seems average it's all about the times you show up I can not complain about Club 16 at all.The fee is very cheap yet people tell me it's to much?On a budget it's only 20 dollars a Month big deal that's for the lowest no options membership.Never goes up for a 30 dollar fee.The people there all seem ok and not angry.Anyway get out there and join Club 16 we could use a few more good Men and Women there that care about there health.Thanks Trevor .

Expérience fantastique: Harleen was my trainer. She was supportive and understanding when I had to change my plans of was dealing with hard circumstances and wouldn’t perform at the gym as well. I have made some great improvements in my strength and lost weight since I started working with her.

Expérience positive: Lately, it seems that repairs of the machines is going on the back burner. For example, in she's fit, the hip abduction machine has been down for weeks. I come specifically for that machine as part of a physio routine. I also hear that tanning bed lights aren't being repaired. Another item that would be nice to be in the she's fit area is a peck deck. There seems to be only one in the main area and it always has a lineup with men behind it. As a smaller lady, it is intimidating to wait for that machine and then have men waiting and watching. Please add one to she's fit.

Expérience positive: Great workout equipment in the gym and She's Fit. But, annoying how many people are sitting or on the equipment with their cell phones in She's Fit, and not actually working out. One has to wait while persons are surfing or chatting away till the equipment is available! In Abby Rec Centre they post to the effect "No cell phones permitted". Wish you had rules for this, as well.

Expérience négative: Super uncomfortable expereince by club 16 staff. My gym partner and I were doing streches on a mat recently (July 2024) when I noticed two males near by, sitting on their own mats. One of these males was very clearly a personal trainer/staff member (and this was confirmed in conversation). The two were sitting on their mats chatting, and not working out during the duration we were in the area. The man with the Club 16 shirt (personal trainer/staff) pulled his phone out and aimed the camera towards my workout partner, while laughing with his friend and speaking to one another in their respective language, thus hiding their conversation. All while aiming their phone camera very clearly in the direction of my partner. We asked for the name of the personal trainer working for club 16 , and he stated his name as Bhavan or Bavan. Before confronting the men, I took time to observe and assess the situation long enough to realise they were not stopping. When I did finally confront them and made it known I was keeping an eye on them, they stopped their laughing and talking, have a nervous look on their face and turned the phone camera away. After I had asked them to put his phone away, Bhavan was denying and rude, fidgeting with his phone showing us just his home screen (while claiming to have been showing his client work outs- we did not see proof of his claim, nor did we see him or his client doing any movements to exemplify that they were working on any workouts)to the point it made both of us leave the gym entirely. Very suspicious and uncomfortable behaviour from the staff. I reported this to the front desk and the guy working told me hed tell a manager for me and i gave him my number but i havent heard back. And seeing others with similar reviews doesnt give me much confidence that anything will be done about it. This happened between 11:40am and 12:00pm in July 13th.

Expérience négative: I’ve been working out at this location for the past few months. I’ve been to quite a few gyms around B.C. and this location has the hottest temperature in a gym I’ve ever been to. It’s basically like a sauna currently inside of this place the ventilation is non existent and the a/c hasn’t worked properly since I signed up in May! My partner has been going to this location for years and this has been an issue she has said the whole time! The place is full of windows and around 3:00pm it’s been 32 degrees outside and it feels like the same inside of this place. I’m not sure why they haven’t resolved this issue and hopefully management fixes this asap or they will be down a few less members!

Expérience négative: I was really appalled at their poor customer service. Club 16 seeks out highly incompetent employees. Recently I got injured and I submitted a note from medical professional by email to get a break from the gym for two months. Then I got am email that physician has to fill out Club 16 internal form, which I re-submitted. Then got a call that physician didn’t check mark on one thing. Again I got it done, then I heard from another staff that physician didn’t stamp their form even though I had submitted a note on physician’s letterhead and signed. I am really fed up with their lack of customer service and ready to cancel my membership.

Expérience négative: Moved from Vancouver She's Fit to Abbotsford Club 16, not only the App is unusable, their team also fails to comply with doing their job. I was incorrectly charged a late fee because their team failed to add my new card to the payment method. Once discussed and promised there will be no late charge, I was still charged the late fee on the missed payment due to their OWN mistake of not adding my card in the first place. Absolutely inefficient customer service. It's understandable if this was missed by me, IF I didn't add the card. But THEIR team failed to add my card to the payment method, am I supposed to micromanage that do their job? I read the reviews and didn't want to believe it, but this is absolutely true. They don't like their customers and don't want the business in the first place. Please give them better wages so the receptionist can provide a better resolution and be nicer next time, they don't seem to like their jobs. I'm waiting for the manager to call me back with a better resolution of the mistake that THEIR TEAM made. What an absolute useless mess. I literally just added my partner a couple of weeks ago to this gym, I didn't have to do that but it seems they don't want business at all.

Expérience fantastique: I joined Club 16 Abbotsford location about 3 months ago. I have never been a gym person before so I signed up for training sessions. My trainer Fernando has been great for getting me going and teaching me to try a range of different exercises and machines to challenge me, help me to reach my goals, and help me in feeling more confident to work out at the gym myself outside of our sessions. Expérience positive: Club 16 is amazing in Langley and Chilliwack, the Abbotsford location however just isn't on par with the other two. It certainly seems oversold at times for the available equipment and square footage. Often, the equipment is also in poor condition or broken. That said, the staff is always great and ultimately, the price of membership is excellent! One can always drive to the other locations.

Expérience négative: Decided to cancel my membership due to a negative experience with a gym member that wasn't handled professionally by staff. I told the supervisor at the gym about this (bald guy) and he started smiling and almost laughing. He told me to wait on the bench to cancel my membership as "he and his staff member were too busy." I went up to the front desk after a few minutes to cancel which took only 2 minutes. I was forced to pay the cancelation fee and the remaining balance of the month. Reasons for canceling: too crowded, rude and obnoxious gym members (not sharing gym equipment, playing loud music on their phones, saying rude things in Punjabi), staff members not acting professionally, and dirty equipment. Big shoutout to the small girl with curly hair who works the front desk who actually took the time to listen to me.

Expérience fantastique: This is a review for personal trainer Suzette Vinnell at the Abbotsford location who has been training me for the last six weeks. She does a great job of getting her clients to work harder than they are used to. In addition she creates a trusting, friendly, and professional connection. She wants her clients to succeed and be happy. She knows that eventually she can't hold their hand anymore but will leave them with tools to achieve their goals on their own. She's a lovely person who sees the best in her clients and makes them better. Thanks to her I have achieved many goals in my health already and am far more energetic when I train on my own. Expérience positive: I knew what I was getting into with a year contract but when I visited it was not as busy as every other time I go here. I'm just waiting out my membership because it's always so busy. I just don't want the membership anymore cause I don't go. I wasted my money and that's on me I guess but it's still sooo busy and they still take new members. If it's already over crowded at least cap it so old members can actually use the space. Idk

Expérience négative: It's a trap, once you sign up, it is impossible to cancel and they will continue to take money from you, charge you late fees, annual fees and cancellation fees. Had to pay enormous amounts to cancel after 15 days of signing up, took a month and half after to cancel with lots of hassles and work and emailing calling third parties and going in to the clubs Edit: I tried reaching out to the email they replied below. No different, no help.

Expérience positive: OK gym. Has all the equipment you need. It can get pretty busy at certain times of the day, my only problem is that there’s no airflow in the gym (especially the she’s fit section). It can get pretty stinky and the smell hits you right when you enter the doors. Gym isn’t very well lit either which makes it super frustrating if you workout in the evening/night time.

Expérience négative: Atrocious gym. Atrocious employees. I get that this is the cheapest gym in Abbotsford, but it is evident in the quality of the gym and its employees. Firstly, I do not care for shaming others but it makes sense that those who work in a gym that promotes a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise, that the employees should reflect it. This is lacking in almost every person that works at this gym, even the personal trainers, which is quite laughable as it does not look like any of the employees use the facilities at their disposal. Secondly the employees just stand around holding hands and gossiping, never greeting any people that come in. For example this short boy, Amar (pictured below), stares at the females that come into the gym, and I have a 15 year old daughter and I watched him scan her up and down then go talk to his coworker and say who knows what. It is disgusting. I have also witnessed a female employee chase after another gym goer and yell and swear at them in the parking lot. Lastly the manager, is a young man, by the name of Raynal who openly advertises an adult entertainment site on his Black Acura SUV that is always parked at the front door, for everyone to see. All these examples can show you what kind of people work here and why all these people probably could not find jobs elsewhere. I am glad to take my daughter and myself, with a few more members, to Goodlife and pay the extra $30 a month so we do not have to deal with crazy, creepy, and gross degenerates that work here. Stay safe from these people.

Expérience négative: Not only did they decide to charge me the $50 equipment fee after I canceled 15 days after trying them out but found their facility was just too dark and gloomy and depressing to work out in, they also do NOT have safety clamps to prevent your weights from falling off. There isn't enough equipment and most of it is always in use, including just weights for the bars. I pleaded with them to not charge the $50 equipment fee as a poor student and they still did. Never ever going here again.

I recently had to take five months off of exercise and she is helping me regain the muscle mass I lost. She is encouraging and skilled and highly motivating. I recommend going in and seeing how great they are in person.

Went to the front desk and they said you have to cancel online. Went online.. there is no option there to cancel. We keep emailing the company and get the exact same AI generated response back. They refuse to provide an actual live person to speak to us. Next stop is the BBB and global news i suppose.

Expérience fantastique: Signed back up with club 16 after moving away. Amar the sales rep, was so kind, explained all of the perks, amenities, and policies of the gym. He explained the contract in a way I could understand. Over all great guy made the process easy and enjoyable which says a lot. Great work, I will recommend him to my mum who’s also signing up :)

Expérience négative: I would give this place a negative review if google had the option. I would not recommend this gym to my worst enemy. The staff is unprofessional and does not understand or comprehend basic English and lacks basic customer service skills and intelligence. 1st incident I had with them was disturbing but I let that go because I go there to workout so whatever. An employee discriminated towards me because I’m Indian. I thought gyms were a safe place for everyone and everyone is welcomed but not here. The regional manager reached out to me after 2 weeks from the incident to apologize. 2nd incident was when they inputted my moms card information incorrectly and charged her a late fee even though she provided them with an EFT information. I told them I would like to speak to the Manager in regards to the late fee because it wasn’t her fault it was the employees. They advised me that the manager had quit and they don’t have any manager or supervisor at the gym anymore. I requested a call from the regional manager, I haven’t received a phone call thus far. This was from December 2023. PLEASE SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE. It’s not worth going in the morning and discussing the same thing over and over again. They lock their washroom upstairs, which they only have one of and there is a note to request the key from the staff member. When you ask the staff for the key they tell you that sorry you have to walk all the way downstairs to use the washroom. CLUB 16 - TRAIN YOUR STAFF BETTER. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE.

Expérience négative: Minus stars for the front desks two ladies employees tonight. I felt very unwelcome! I agreed to book an appointment for tomorrow to have a tour of the gym. Club 16 and those junior unexperienced front desk clerks asked me to fill out an electronic liability form which required me to give all my private info before I even decide to join. I asked if there was another way to sign just with my name without adding all other private info and they said no! Why would you ask me my date of birth, home address, email, etc. before I decide to join just to see the gym! The date of today, my name and signature should be enough! Private info are a big deal as we are hacked everywhere and the gym should have another way to keep people protected especially if we only need to see the gym for a couple of minutes! Very unpleasant first time experience and the gym is not aware of the importance of our private info!

Expérience négative: I've been a member at this gym for about 3 years. Normally, it's just fine: lots of hoops to jump through to join, bi-weekly payments, but they've been reasonable (for a gym). A couple weeks ago, our credit card was compromised. We took a couple weeks to fix the credit card number on file for three of us in this household. By the time we had fixed things, we had racked up $126 in late fees. I can see charging one of us, or giving us some kind of late fee, but $126? That's outrageous! Every person that I spoke with refused to take ownership. It wasn't, "wow, you've already paid a lot, let's see what we can do," it was, "that's corporate policy, and they are refusing to waive any fees." Zero ownership, zero customer service. This is how you run a business into the ground: disrespecting customers, charging exorbitant late fees, and not taking ownership.

Expérience négative: I’d give negative five stars for the experience I just had with a front desk clerk and their ridiculous late fee policy. Our credit card was stolen two weeks ago and naturally took us some time to get a new one to update. When I showed up to the gym today I was charged not just the two payments that were missed ($8 each), but $21 for EACH missed payment. A total of $58 for what should have been $16. I’ve never met a company with such a high percentage of a ‘late fee.’ Not to mention the sales associate at the front door, when hearing why we were late responded that ‘that’s not on us, and you should have called us within 24 hours of your credit card being stolen’ when it took us 24 hours to realize it HAD been stolen. This junior employee would NOT budge and showed ZERO sympathy for our inconvenience, even when I told her all our family had been through in the past month. Our entire family is cancelling our memberships because of this experience and we will NEVER return, since they profited of more than 300% margin off our misfortune TWICE and showed no concern - just judgment and shaming for not being back at the gym earlier. We will be also telling everyone we know to never, ever go here. Side note: I paid the payment this time because I was so mad that I finally made it to the gym despite all the difficulties of the last month that I wasn’t walking away without a workout today but the second this next payment experience expires, I am not returning. Horrible customer service, and for someone who had spent years going here. I’d rather find a new gym than deal with such an obvious scam disguised as a ‘policy.’ And with no apology, or effort made at understanding where we were coming from. Update as of Dec 5, 2023: the only (private) response from the club was to demand we give 30 days notice in writing before cancelling our memberships. The communication doubled down on the lack of compassion, understanding or any desire to work with us in any way, shape or form. 300% profit off our misfortune twice, and then the response is to demand MORE ‘rights’ for themselves?! Unbelievable. I work with frustrated public all the time and I would never, ever consider this approach, even when policies are beyond my control. Will never consider this business ever again. First rule of business is to do whatever possible to keep an existing customer - and by their satisfaction, not coercive policies. Clearly, that’s not understood here. Email sent, Club 16. Word to the wise: do not expect anything but what’s best for them, apparently even after a public complaint.

I called in January to cancel but they said will send email and reply back to it to cancel , never received email but left country . When i came back in March , called back again . Information was given that my account was cancelled but started charging me again in may . Called location to inquire about it but no solution . Answer I was getting,’ not sure what happened but u owe this money ‘ asked staff if my account is cancelled now , he said yes and u don't have to send any email anymore. Assumed my account is cancelled but got charges in may again. Called back nd staff informed that i need to send email as account was not cancelled not sure what happened . Requested to talk to supervisor , he could not give any answer but decided to hung up on me . Called back again to talk to manager , 1st he was tossing me around and kind of informed me that i cant talk to manger , suddenly their system went down. Then he made up store that i was telling and swear at him which was not completely true , manager called after 4 days , instead of asking em what happened but instead started why did u yell at my staff and swear. Asked her to stop and listen to my side but refused and started that circle thing again nut have no idea what happened in system . Not focusing on point that i called in march again to cancel. But it was funny how they have notes and record of all call they made but no record of call in made in jan and march to cancel and of-course no notes. This worse customer service i have received and no one is will to help me out. I used this gym before but location, never had any issue . This worse location i had ever. I would never sign up again in future and not recommended to anyone to do so.

Expérience positive: I've had a good experience overall with the staff and equipment. Good price as well. However the water fountain / water bottle filler has broken multiple times in the 1.5 years I've been going, and each time it takes months to fix.

Expérience fantastique: I just joined club-16 a month ago and got into their training program to achieve my fitness goals. I started with a trainer for couple of sessions and really liked the intensity. Unfortunately, my trainer got changed just after a week and I was advised a new trainer will be assigned. To be honest I got a bit nervous if new trainer will be as good and have the same intensity. Now after working with new trainer (Bhavan) I can say he’s the best trainer I have ever had, he’s very personable, accommodating, understand my fitness goals, takes very good care of me. Expérience négative: Highly disappointed! I have already complained over 5 times but now I have no choice but to write a review. There’s no hot water in their showers in the morning. I have to go to work straight after my workouts in the morning and I’m forced to take ice cold showers every time! The drinking water unit is also broken. I do not pay yearly maintenance for nothing!! They do not take client feedback into consideration. I’m going to have to switch gyms if this continues!

Expérience fantastique: I had a wonderful customer service experience with the assistant manager Rhaynal earlier in the week regarding a late fee I felt was unfair. He personally took it upon himself to correct it and within a few days I received a credit. All the staff I spoke with were patient and cordial and they dealt with the situation easily. DO NOT fall for same price for life feature as it only lasts until you are a member. Just keep in mind this club’s monthly fee is low so they’ll rip you off in membership deal. By the way cancelation of membership is $78 + a month’s fees. Nicely job done Nachi.

Expérience positive: Usually great for staffing during the day. Towards the evening they is less managers. So anyone there will just tell you to come back earlier another day. And the size of the gym is greatly reduced because of the she's fit and one size of the gym seems almost cut off from the other with weird row machines just kinda placed off to the side.

Expérience positive: Good gym especially for beginners but the atmosphere is low. Too many people not knowing what to do and big groups of teenagers so you don’t feel a strong vibe being there. Enough to get a good workout in but definitely need to upgrade when you start lifting heavy weights

Expérience fantastique: Honestly for the price, best gym in town. I’ve been when it’s busy and been when it’s slow. Lots of cardio machines, friendly but not pushy customer service. Machines are occasionally down for repair but that’s how a gym goes, bathrooms are immaculate clean.

Expérience négative: Been going to this gym for 5 years now. For the low fee it's alright. By far the biggest issue is the waiting for certain machines or benches. I'm guessing 70 % of the square footage is dedicated to She's Fit, treadmills and the like. If you use a squat rack or bench press forget about it. You will guarantee have to alter your workout plan. Two squat racks and two bench press is inadequate. I saw seven groups of guys approach the bench press asking how many sets someone has left over a 10 minute period. Free weights are a vey low priority for this gym. A very simple fix would be more free weights and at the very least another bench press. I plan on changing gyms over the next year if they don't address the huge backups in certain areas while other areas are almost devoid of people. Strange they don't notice this.

Expérience négative: Feels super corporate, gym equipment is quite redundant. More abdominal machines than I’ve seen in any other gym, didn’t see one person use any of them, while there’s a line up for other pieces of equipment. It’s a large location but use of space is a solid 5/10. Dumbbells only go up to 90, no e-z-bar, and you have to ask for resistance bands however I did have good customer service and the gym was clean, and I think I could be a great gym with some work

Expérience négative: Great staff and atmosphere at this location. They have a great assortment of machines and multiple weightlifting areas. Unfortunately like other Club 16s, this location ALWAYS has several machines broken down for months on end and the water station is consistently out of order. The lack of maintenance and urgency to fix broken items is extremely frustrating and for that reason alone I would consider leaving club 16 if they didn't have multiple locations.

Expérience négative: Worst customer service. Wanted to get the monthly membership (the lowest price membership they advertise). Each employee at Club 16 provides a different information, lack of training can be seen. They literally force you to take the yearly membership with the trainer. The guy who signed me up for the membership gave me false information regarding the price and their rules. When I asked to cancel, the manager talked to me rudely and I was given 1/3 of the amount back after 2 months. However, their contract says “15 days”. I contacted them several times and only got rude replies from employees, including the managers. They would put my call on hold or disconnect the call or give me an appointment date and not call back. Please don’t waste time at this branch. They just want to get more clients, even if they have to provide false information.

Expérience positive: This is a great starter gym to join to get your fitness journey going, but it doesn't offer much in the way of specialized fitness. That makes sense, given that it's the cheapest price in town, and a decent no-frills monthly bill at that. But, because it's the cheapest available, it's very busy, to the point that it's unusable after 5 pm on weeknights. I also noticed that machines and water fountains were broken more often than not. And, as other reviewers have pointed out, the women's section only has a Smith machine, no squat racks and no deadlifting platforms. I think the gym is in a tough spot where they don't have much more space to add more equipment, and they're trying to do as much as they can while keeping rates down. I appreciated the team here and all they do to make it a great facility.

Expérience positive: This is my home gym. The pricing and service is quite good. Expect the gym to be quite busy. You will find yourself waiting for weight training machinery at times, but less so the cardio equipment. Also, I noticed three (3) separate broken machines on my first workout there. One of the elliptical machines had the hand grip worn off, another had a plastic plate broken clean off by the feet, and they weren't taped off. Staff need to stay on top of this.

My sister and I joined this gym with high hopes for a better fitness journey, only to be met with a series of disappointments. Firstly, during our membership sign-up, the representative conveniently omitted any mention of an annual fee, leaving us blindsided when it suddenly appeared on our bills. To make matters worse, they have a practice of not notifying clients about missed payments and charging a hefty $35 fee for it. When I raised my concerns with the staff, they merely shrugged it off, claiming it was beyond their control, and handed me a number to call. I've called that number countless times, but it's a one-way ticket to voicemail, with no callbacks in sight. My sister decided to cancel her membership two months ago, yet Club 16 is still deducting money from her account. It seems they excel at one thing – extracting money from members without providing the promised service. In just two months, I've spent over $250 for an experience that feels like a complete waste. I regret choosing this gym and hope others think twice before doing the same. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience with Club 16.

Expérience négative: I arrived at the gym this morning at 7am, as its supposed to be open at that time, however, it was not. I waited around for 20 minutes, along with 15-20 other people, including 2 workers, but no one showed up to open the doors. Finally decided to just leave. Very disappointed to be writing this but its happened to me multiple times in the past few months. I can only imagine its a recurring thing as I've seen several other similar complaints about this same thing. If 7am doesn't work, why not just stop pretending and push the opening to 8? It's very frustrating as I woke up at 5:30am on a Sunday morning, got ready, drove all the way down only to have to sit in the car for over 20 minutes and then have to go back home. Also, I wasn't going to complain about this but seeing as the opening issue keeps happening, I do have to point out another issue. A couple weeks ago, I was at the gym working out around noon and the staff ordered Dominoes. All of them sat around upstairs, in the middle of the gym, eating the pizza. I don't have to point out how inappropriate that is. People go to the gym to work on their mental and physical health. Some of them go there as they've had challenges struggling with food addictions and they come to gym to get healthier, to improve there life and, for the workers to be sitting around in the middle of the gym, eating pizza, allowing that smell to go all around the gym, while there are people there trying to improve there health... Just a complete lack of respect and common sense. As mentioned above, there were two other workers who arrived on time and waited along with everyone else so, I don't want to group all the employees into one, however, there seems to be a bigger problem with management/key holders that needs to be fixed.

Expérience négative: I appreciate that they tried to make a safe comfortable place for women to work out but how could they not put a squat wrack in the women's section. In order to have a great leg day women need this equipment and are forced to go to the men's side for it. A Smith machine just isn't the same. This is the second time I have been uncomfortable doing my workout while a man stared at me from behind while doing my workout alone. This completely defeats the purpose of having a women's side if we are forced to go do the most revealing workout I the men's section. This is an easy fix and I hope they one day fix this problem. I spoke to another member and she completely agreed that she had the same experiences so she just stopped doing deadlifts and squats the way she would normally do.

Expérience fantastique: For people wondering regarding fees: ~$10 biweekly fee and annual enhancement fee of $40 around early May and once you tell them you will quit, they give you 1 month to rethink (can still workout) but will still charge 1month worth of membership fee (~$20). Otherwise the gym has good assortment of free weights and machines. They have 2 benches, 2 quat racks (thinking of adding 1 more), 1 deadlift platform, 2 Smith machines. Gets extremely busy around 4 to 6pm.

Expérience négative: I left Club 16 a couple of months ago because I was moving. I have been to many gyms over the last 10 years and I can safely say that this gym has potential, but is falling short in a few aspects. I see people complaining about staff, but I honestly had no problems with them. They were maybe a little slow when cleaning the wipe bins but that is somewhat minor. The water machine was broken for a few months, which when you have only one, is unacceptable. To me, it shows that there is a lack of care in the operations of their facility. There are many machines that are always taken. Example, pec deck. There is only one. Then you have machines that are not overly used and there are two. Plus, there is only one deadlift platform, which I will refer to down below. The biggest problem with this gym are the members. There is an extreme lack of gym etiquette and consideration for others. Every time I am there, someone feels the need to slam the cable machines. This is far too common. You start to wonder why cable machines are unusable much of the time due to being broken. I have also seen an ex-staff member take up a bench to place four sets of free weights on. They were not using the bench for any other purpose other than to hold their weights, when the rack is about two feet in front of the bench. There is one deadlift platform. It is used more for hip thrusts than anything else. This gym has two dedicated squat racks. They should be called the overhead press/bicep curl racks because they are frequently used for that. Too many people here will stop you from using a piece of equipment when you watch them walk around the gym using up to five other machines. Groups of younger kids will take up the bench press for long periods of time. Ego lifters will grab all of the 45 plates and put them onto the shoulder press and even place 25 lbs on the handles, lift it one inch and then hog the machine for an hour. I know after posting this I will constantly remember even more poor etiquette situations. This gym could be great. However, the cliental completely ruin the atmosphere and cause the user experience to be terrible. You really get what you pay for with this gym. If you have some goals that you really want to stick to, this is not the gym I would recommend. If you go to the gym at non-peak times and are only going to very basic exercise, then this gym could be suitable.
Expérience positive: Great staff tat is super friendly! An amazing price if you aren't going during peak hours. Otherwise it can get laughably busy. I once spent an hour trying to get on to a squat rack. (During the quiet hours 1pm-2pm) During covid, every 2nd cardio machine was closed, so there is an incredible wait of space that could be used. A lot of the machines take months to get replaced.
Expérience négative: There's 2 squat racks and 1 deadlifting platform in the whole gym. I rarely get to use those areas I understand few times here and there when it's busy but week after week after week. I refuse to stay at the gym longer than an hour babysitting the equipment. It just really sucks, it throws off my workout plans and I can't maximize my time spent there. Some of the machines don't feel well maintained. The glute kick back machine in the lady's size feels like it gets stuck and the middle eliptical in the coed side shudders at higher levels. I asked 2 employees to lower the curtains in the lady's side because it gets so hot there with the sun shining through and it didn't happen at that point I don't want to bother the employees and disrupt my work out anymore but i really was over heating, I didnt feel the ac. I never complain I usually keep my opinion to myself, but its frustrating. My works outs are suffering. Its hard enough going to the gym as it is for most people. These things are annoying and a turn off.

Expérience fantastique: I don't usually write reviews but my experience at Club16 has been exceptional. The manager Jitka is always helpful, engaging, and always welcomes us with a smile. She goes the extra mile to make us happy. Her management skills are outstanding, It shows she genuinely cares about the members. Another staff member that stands out is Raynal, he's very welcoming when entering the club and answering questions. Overall, my experience is 5 out of 5, from the service to the equipment. This will be the only gym I will ever go to.

Expérience négative: Gym is overpacked at peak hours so much so it turns a lot of people off from wanting to work out. They pull all kind of extra fee's out of no where. For example I expressed I didn't want to renew my membership for another year. They decided to charge me for another month roughly $30 and then just charged me another $21 out of no where. During covid they didn't enofrce rules very well. Countless times I seen people not wipe down their machines even with staff watching. Also they do a horrible job with repairing their equipment. Since switching to another gym I've been much happier. Even when it's packed there's enough machines to use that you don't have to wait for anything. Nothing shadys happened either. I really don't reccomend this gym to anyone besides maybe women if they want to workout in a women only gym (she's fit)

We agree that our facilities could be busier during peak hours comparing to regular hours, and that is due to us offering value priced facilities.During pandemic we had policies which would ensure the safety of our members and staff and these policies were reviewed and approved by the public health authorities who would visit us numerous times to ensure we are enforcing those policies and that is one of the most important reasons we could remain open during those tough times and with having millions of check ins during Covid, we had 0 transmission. Expérience positive: If you're looking for a place to workout with the basics for low cost, Club 16 is excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive, there is a large variety of machines and free weights, and most of it is in good repair. The women's area offers most of the same machines that are in the co-ed section as well! The downside is that this place is cheap and therefore can be quite busy at peak times. Equipment does break but they seem to repair or replace it within a reasonable amount of time (another downside to it being busy, some gym goers are less respectful to the equipment than others). Overall, great gym for the price you are paying and I have not had any issues with staff or other members since joining.
