Expérience fantastique: I've been a member of CLUB ATHLETIQUE SHERBROOKE for few months now, and it’s been a great experience. The cleanliness of this gym really sets it apart—every area, from the locker rooms to the workout floors, is impeccably maintained, which makes working out here a pleasure. The staff are friendly, approachable, and always ready to assist with anything you need, whether it’s exercise advice or just a warm welcome at the front desk. The trainers are knowledgeable and provide excellent guidance.

Expérience positive: Updated review: Notified to cancel my membership via email. 2 months later still no cancellation. Had to call and email again, multiple times. Never got a hold of the manager, only the front desk. Their counterargument is that they give a 30-day policy. Arbitrary when notice is given and one is still charged months later. Eventually got refunded, tho. Don't set up automatic payments. It's not easy at all to cancel your membership! Safer to pay at the terminal, whatever package you're into. Also, everyone at the gym is good. Except the manager, after this ordeal.

Expérience négative: Decent service... Until you have a problem. I warned them 1 month in advance, by email, that I was going to stop my membership. They replied that it was fine. I was therefore very surprised to see -100$ in my bank account the following month. Reached out to them, no refund yet. It's been 3 months. It's not the first time I've encountered them having weird practices. One month they made me pay manually, but it also charged automatically as they had my credit card. When I told them about the double charge, they basically told me that the next month was covered then? Some of the staff were very friendly but this ongoing issue is just too much of a downside for me to see the positives

Les équipements sont très bien préservés, rien est délabré. Le personnel est toujours souriable, accueillant et serviable. L'endroit est toujours très propre, on ne manque jamais de rien. Je recommande fortement l'inscription pour tout ceux qui se cherche quelque chose de tranquille.

Expérience négative: I am re-iterating what some of the reviews have said below. This gym WILL steal your money. The owner showed me around the day i came in the gym and was convincing in why his gym was the one to join. The next day I came in again and signed up for a 2 months membership and had already given the clerk my end date. After which i was told i would not need to notify them further of my termination in 2 months because i had already done so. 1 week before leaving the gym, I confirmed with ANOTHER clerk that i did not need to provide notice of termination since it was “already on my file”. I left the gym back to Toronto thinking that all was settled. Only to realize that the gym had been charging my credit card for 3 months that I was not there for. When I asked for a refund, the owner said he would on condition that I prove that I was a student and that I was in Toronto for the 3 months I was charged. I sent him all the proof via email, and it’s been 6 weeks, 3 emails and a 10 calls since I am waiting for a reply. They claim to be the only gym in town that offer month-to-month gym memberships. When in fact, gyms like B54 do it too. Yes B54 is more expensive, but given I was charged for 3 months here, it would’ve been cheaper for me to have just gone to B54 for the 2 months. I am still willing to rectify the situation and delete this review going forward only if I receive my refund back. But for now, DO NOT join this gym.

I trained there for four days & from the first time I stepped in, it felt that I’ve training there for long. It feels like your home gym away from home. Sufficient equipment to train all muscles. Friendly stuff that makes you belong to the gym. Strongly recommended

Expérience négative: This gym will steal your money! I let them know in March that I would be cancelling my membership starting May. They charged me in May which is fine because it is a simple mistake. I contacted them and had to wait multiple days for a managers response. Once they responded they offered me a free month at the gym, however I am not returning to Montreal so that is not an option for me. I contacted them saying I wanted my money back sent to my account and they still have not responded to me. I sent a follow up email and still no response. They haven’t responded to my message in 3 days and it’s been 1 week of having to contact them to get my money back. At this point I am thinking they are not going to respond to me so they can keep my money. I hate writing bad reviews for places but the service here has been terrible. I am also a student so losing $100 is a big deal for me! Don’t come here! Update: You can see that the gym responded to this message saying that they were resending my money, but unfortunately this is also a lie. It has been 7 business days (13 days total I have been trying to get my money back) and still I have not received my money! This proves that the gym is purposefully neglecting their customers to steal more money from them. If you read the other negative reviews, you can see that other people are having this exact same issue as I am. Please, do not go to this gym so you don’t have to go through this. There are other good gyms in the area, pick a better option.

Expérience négative: When I got my membership, I explicitly notified the staff that I did not want it to renew the next month. I wanted only one month because I would not be in Montreal to use it upon the time it would be renewed. I had even asked the staff to write a note on my intake form stating that I would not be renewing my membership, which should’ve been sufficient considering they require 30 days notice to cancel your membership. Despite that, I was charged for another month, and I have sent over 5 emails, used the contact option on their website, called, and showed up in person to try and get a response in a timely manner. I received a single email stating that I needed to give 30 days notice despite the fact that I had done that when signing up, and explained that in my prior emails. I’m very frustrated at the inefficient communication which is why I’m posting this review here. Please refund my money and make sure I don’t get charged again. I shouldn’t be out 100$ on a mistake made by the staff.

While the cost may seem high at $103.50, investing in your body and health is invaluable. The slightly higher price encourages commitment, and the uncrowded atmosphere during my 6am-8am sessions is a major plus. The gym boasts a well-equipped space, including a smith machine for maximum performance without a spotter. The spacious changing rooms, showers, and sauna are available, though I personally don't use them. The standout feature, however, is the fantastic staff, shoutout to Samy and Jordan for their friendliness. Writing a Google review is a rare move for me, but I felt compelled to show respect for the owner's dedication to the gym. I wholeheartedly recommend it for those striving to improve themselves.

Je ne me sens pas comme un numéro lorsque je rentre dans le gym, mais tout le contraire, je reçois toujours le traitement VIP d'un gym privé. Sauna, salle de vapeur, douches et serviettes, de tout pour pouvoir se dorloter après un entraînement individuel ou avec l’aide d’un de leurs entraîneurs. Un petit bijoux pour prendre soin de soi en plein centre ville. Les entraîneurs sont tous très expérimentés et motivants, mais surtout à l'écoute de tes préférences et objectifs. Je fais de la musculation depuis plusieurs années et j’ai essayé plusieurs gyms en ville et Club Athletic Sherbrooke comble tous mes besoins.

Expérience fantastique: Cannot begin to tell you how great this gym is and how amazing Wayne has been in my transformation. I've had two health issues that needed very careful and meticulous attention to detail around to ensure that I would be fit yet not in danger for other ailments and issues. Wayne is the consummate professional. He was able to create a workout plan for me that not only made me healthier and stronger but quite frankly started to transform my body from an image that I didn't love to one that I'm really starting to love. The results have been amazing and the timeline has been relatively short (even with my health limitations). For those that do not need professional training, the gym itself is very well equipped, very clean and never too full. I honestly, don't think I ever had to wait for a machine during all my visits. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I wanted a 1-month pass and they ended up keeping my credit card on file and charging me month after month, even after I sent several emails + phoned multiple people to get my account deleted and the amounts reimbursed. It’s been 2 months now and they still haven’t reimbursed me, so writing this review in the hopes that finally someone from management will answer my requests for reversing the wrong charges.

Location is amazing as I can go in my breaks in between my classes. The gym has a nice private feel to it, and is not too crowded during peak hours with very friendly members and staff being accommodating to your needs. Expérience fantastique: I'm a gym rat. Been in at least 40 gyms (no kidding) in my life. No, your not allowed to guess my age! Been in gyms that smelled like rats (Moscow, Russia), been in gyms where they had rats (New Delhi, India) and I've been in gyms run by rats as well (won't tell you where, I value my life). C.A.S. Is a small outfit. It's got the best equipment. Its functional. Clean. There are not too many members which translates into no wait time. Staff is cool. Trainers KNOW their stuff (that means no B.S.) and the people really nice. You have a mix of everything. From the hardcore guys and girls who train really hard, the people who come every day to stay fit and the occasional newbies who come once in a while. In the end, there's no HIGH END glamour here, just a real gym to get it done right.

Gym itself is small but there's a squat rack, a couple benches, smith machine, pretty much everything you need. Staff was amazing. Not to mention by far the cleanest gym I've ever been to. Honestly the cleanest gym I have ever been to, there's personal training, a variety of group classes that are included in the membership, and most of all it's convenient! Because of the private environment this gym provides, I look forward to my workout because I know that I will get to use whatever I want and whenever I want to. Another reason why I love this gym is the staff. Everyone who works there is personable, encouraging, and helpful in every way possible. They make themselves readily available to answer any questions or concerns that I may have or even just to talk. There is no competitive vibe at this gym so I feel very comfortable without judgement. Try it out! You won't regret it!

Daily passes, monthly memberships/annual memberships are available! Personal trainers available for training sessions. Changing rooms complete with steam room/showers. Towel service provided. Club Athletique Sherbrooke is a "little gem" in the heart of downtown Montreal.
