Expérience négative: Nastiest gym I've ever been to in my entire life. It was my first time and yet I am deeply traumatized with the condition of this gym. The annual fee is not worth it for the condition of this gym facility. Disgusting guests doesn't care if they smell like BO. After 1 visit, I don't feel like coming back. I only tried here because my goodlife membership was still on hold and can only be resumed after 1 month due to me having surgery. Never again!

Expérience positive: It’s got all the equipment you need but fewer squat racks than other crunch locations. I don’t like the open concept layout on the top floor where the machines are oddly laid out but overall cleanly and staff is kind.

Expérience positive: Update: Prices rose without notice which is shady to me considering not much as been done in the way of updating the gym in any fashion AND the gym is significantly more packed during peak times than 3-4 years ago. Though that's no fault to the gym. Offering an update since my last review of 1 star. Some of the hidden fees are gone or moved into the annual fee that is disclosed in the contract terms. The facility is decent but doesn't offer as much versatility as the Waterloo location. That's alright updates can happen. So far as decent an atmoshphere as you can expect from a large mix of people. The trainer I met with for my intake was friendly enough and offered some half decent advice and didn't push me into doing any private sessions as some had issuss with. Wish some of the equipment in the class room wasn't there and unusable during class times but room is limited I guess. Mostly there because I have other friends who train there but overall no complaints and I can get my workouts done with almost no issues barring weight times for certain equipment.

Expérience négative: The gym is absolutely disgusting. Men’s change room reek and is never cleaned. When told the front staff about it - just replied back - yea we will let the manager know. This is the second time I signed up, hoping they would have improved but no changes in years. Tried Waterloo and Kitchener locations - no cleanliness whatsoever. Gym floors are absolutely disgusting too. Most of the weights on machine’s stickers have dissappeared. 50% of the treadmills don’t work for majority of the time. Also, when you try to cancel the membership - no matter what you do, you will always pay for an extra month. Never going back.

Expérience négative: Very outdated equipment and it's always a mess when I get there at 5 am. When I worked at a gym, the requirements were that all staff is responsible to put weights away if they were left by jerks that are too good to bring the weights back. Some care and pride in the facility needs to be pushed down from management in order for them to care. Lead by example. Instead you have a gym member in myself that's always cleaning the weights and organizing.

Expérience négative: I am an active member for last 2 years. They have approx 10 treadmills and most of the time 4 machines are out of order and when I asked staff, they said parts are not available. I don’t know if they have ordered their parts from Mars. Thinking to switch to other gym. Think twice before you enrol if you do cardio often.

Expérience négative: “Just Wow” Had a horrible experience at crunch Kitchener , they would keep their mouth shut when you join as a member , they wouldn’t let you know about the enrollment fee , membership fee and the funny part is they say the basic plan is 9.99 but you get charged for 20 Dollars . What a pathetic place , they try to steal money from you , this has happened to lot of people. Please be aware

Expérience négative: Worst Crunch that I've been to. I've really enjoyed Crunch Waterloo for years before moving to Kitchener.Bathroom consistently reeks of urine. Staff don't seek to care. Facilities such massage bed and sauna are often not working. Showers have mould. I've had teachers not show up to classes and people wait around for 20 minutes without being notified class is cancelled by staff. Pros - it's still cheaper than nice gyms and there's a decent ammount of machines that you won't find other places. New manager seems to care.

Expérience négative: Oh, Crunch Fitness Kitchener, what a gem you are in the world of gym memberships! I tried to cancel my membership online 2 months ago; silly me for thinking such an advanced option existed. Instead, on Friday, May 31st, I decided to take matters into my own hands and called them. Naturally, I was told to come to their location. Fun fact: I had moved. The associate, brimming with helpfulness, suggested I email the manager, which I did on that very Friday. Days passed without a peep. By Tuesday morning, I called again. Guess what? The manager was in a meeting. A perpetual meeting, it seems. I called back a couple of hours later, and shockingly, the manager was still in a meeting. It turns out that the all-powerful manager’s approval is required for cancellation, a perfect tactic to delay the inevitable. Eventually, an associate managed to cancel my membership after finally securing the elusive manager’s blessing. When I asked why a gym of such repute doesn’t have an online cancellation option, the associate explained that they get so many cancellations that each one needs the manager’s divine approval. My email, therefore, was just another casualty of their overwhelmed system. Dear Crunch Fitness, as a supposed leader in the industry, providing a simple online cancellation option seems like a no-brainer. Instead, you’ve opted for a Kafkaesque system where members must grovel for a manager’s approval. Why is it easier to join your gym than to leave it? But hey, if you’re going to respond to this review, maybe you could try responding to my email first before sending me on another wild goose chase with your helpdesk. At least my membership is finally canceled.

Expérience négative: Terrible Experience with Crunch Fitness - Avoid at All Costs! Our experience with Crunch Fitness Kitchener has been nothing short of a nightmare. My partner and I initially joined with high hopes for their personal training program, but it quickly turned into a series of frustrating and disappointing events. Trainer Changes and Poor Service: Vishal had his trainer changed twice, with no notice or explanation. The final straw was receiving a message from Louis, his second trainer, saying he was leaving Crunch, which left us scrambling to find a third trainer. This process took weeks, and the quality of service deteriorated rapidly. Unfulfilled Promises and Miscommunication: We were promised monthly measurements to track our progress, but after the first 10 days, this stopped completely. Despite our repeated inquiries, Vishal’s measurements were never taken. Our concerns and issues were consistently ignored or poorly addressed. Billing Issues and Lack of Transparency: We experienced multiple billing problems, including unexpected rate increases and sessions marked as unpaid despite having made the payments. We even froze our account briefly, but automatic payments did not resume correctly, causing further confusion. Cancellation and Remaining Sessions: After deciding to cancel our personal training membership due to these issues, we were told conflicting information about the remaining sessions. Initially, we were informed that these sessions never expire, but later received an email stating they are only valid for 12 months. Relocation and Additional Charges: We relocated to another city where there is no Crunch Fitness within 100 km, yet we were still charged 35% of the payment for the remaining sessions. Despite Luke assuring us that he would cancel our membership, our payment was still deducted for the next month. Poor Communication: Sai never responds to emails or calls on time. He only seemed interested in signing us up and, once that was done, never listened to our concerns, often saying he had lots of clients to take care of alone. Positive Note: I must mention that we did have a good experience with one of the trainers, Chris. She was very helpful, professional, and attentive to our needs. It's unfortunate that the overall service from Crunch Fitness did not match the high standard set by Chris. Our experience with Crunch Fitness Kitchener has been marked by unprofessionalism, poor service, and frustrating miscommunications. We strongly advise anyone considering a membership or personal training at this location to think twice and look elsewhere. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. Avoid Crunch Fitness Kitchener!

Expérience négative: Their cancellation policy is an outright scam. I took a membership in March and due to lack of time i went to the gym for roughly 10 days at best over a time of 2 months. So i decided to cancel the membership recently and even though i am cancelling it today. I need to pay for next month as well as an annual fee of 67 $ dollars. If you're dreaming of joining a gym that can rob you in daylight, look no further than Crunch fitness.

Paid for it never heard back because of time clashes and its been almost 3-4 months me asking for refund for it but havent heard back regarding the same issue as well.. called and emailed them but no replies there as well just for one reason that they dont have the trainer as well. But at the end of the day it doesnt justify keeping someone’s money stuck for that long We froze our accounts and without any permission they activated our accounts without taking any consent and deducted money for that. Doing fraudulent activities just to take money

Expérience négative: Awful. Of the 10 treadmills, never more than 6 that worked at any time. Only one water fountain on upper level for a gym thats always packed and it leaks (currently has 2 recycle bins under it catching water). This was the solution after months of having a puddle under it. People leave their huge gym bags and jackets all over the place even tho8gh apparently they aren't to be in the weights area. Staff my as well not be there 95% of the time as the scanner is the hardest working thing in the building. Machines are always down or benches are ripped And it's always dirty. At the end of the day it's cheap and close to home. Wouldn't recommend Update. The blue bins apparently weren't the answer. Unfortunately the floor beneath has rotten so much there is no longer water fountain "privilege". Going into week 3 with no water at all. Fortunately, the caution tape is no longer wrapped around the machines

Expérience négative: I’ve been a member for over 20 years but this gym has turned for the worse over the last 5 years. Mens change room hasn’t had an operating hand dryer or paper towel dispenser for about 10 years. You better be satisfied sharing a damp roll of paper towel used by everyone else before you, when available, best case scenario. No hand sanitizer station has hand sanitizer ever. No working water fountain in the entire upstairs. Nobody actually cleans the machines, gum stuck on the steel supports of most. Don’t bring anything worth value into the change room.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been a member at this location on and off for over 20 years. It’s a great building and has made several improvements over the decades while still maintaining the classic historical feel. Admittedly, it has had some issues in the past few years. However, since the new manager Luke Curry has taken over within the last year + it has turned around and I have seen incredible improvements. Between repairs, new equipment pieces and just modifications on moving certain machines to make the flow and less cluttered feeling has made the atmosphere of being in the facility enjoyable again. The staff is friendly and helpful and Luke himself is always available to answer questions and listen to feedback while also providing updates on near future changes. He is always on the gym floor doing something and is easy to find and approach. Keep it up!

He is very approachable and ever since he started I have noticed things have been getting fixed around the gym. Expérience négative: Not recommended at all ☹️☹️ We signed up the membership by end of January, the guy working there didn’t inform us that they gonna charge us the annual fees. At least they should inform us what they will charge us later on. Really disappointed and cancel the membership just because they didn’t make any clear agreement ☹️☹️☹️☹️ They said they will charge for one month more even I cancelled the membership (cancel on April and they still charge for may) BE CLEAR WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS.

Expérience négative: Cons: This gym needs a serious remodel, don't get fooled by the picture of new dumbbells, a newer weight lift area, bikes, newly equipped, ladies' locker room(men have some lockers yellow and gray) as well, these are pictures from Cambridge gym ( 100% different gym) The nasty feet smell will hit you first, the man's locker room looks and smells bad, showers altogether, 0 privacy(1 open room 4-5 showers). No one I saw there takes a shower, benches in man's locker room have a layer of grime nice and sticky. When I refill my water bottle upstairs, the water was cloudy from the "osmosis" (whiteish)in the bottle. Pros: Loats of equipment to work out upstairs, newer older, some older than me. 9$, 14$ you get what you pay for.

Expérience négative: Legacy equipment is great to work with. Don't purchase anything outside of a basic membership. Mismanaged personal training schedules and poor billing administration forces a lack of trust when signing up for additional membership perks. Lack of trust with the GM and their staff leads to front desk staff being incapable of handling customer queries and concerns. Unless you're looking at a simple membership, go somewhere else.

Expérience négative: The equipment is good and the area is nice. However, the staff are very rude and unprofessional. I called over the phone to talk to them about an issue with my purchase and they told me to come and get a guest pass. When I got there, they told me that I couldn't because i wasn't 18 (which they hadn't informed me on the phone) and my friend told me that something similar had happened to him and later heard them talking behind his back about it.

Expérience positive: First time back here since it was world gym. Wow. It still gets the job done but the lack of treadmills is astonishing. The men’s locker room is absolutely disgusting and in horrible condition. But you get what you pay for I guess. Even with the top membership that I have, it’s still cheaper than most, however many others are way nicer facilities. 3/5

Expérience négative: My review is a bit lengthy, but for good reason. I first joined this gym around 15 years ago when it was Popeye's Gym, and back then it was a great gym. I was also there for a bit when it became World's Gym and it was still OK at the time... Fast forward to 2022, I moved back to Kitchener and decided to join this gym (now Crunch) again. I am very disappointed in what it has become... 1) it is 100% the same as it was all those years ago. Meaning that the machines and change room have not been updated and everything is falling apart. 2) the change room is disgusting.... the urinals are always leaking, so the floor is always wet... the faucets and dryers are falling apart, there are no paper towels 90% of the time, and it is never cleaned... 3) the weight room equipment is literally falling apart.. Either keep up with maintenance or buy new equipment... 4) back in the days there used to employees walking around cleaning the gym, I have not seen a single employee cleaning.... 5) number 5 is about the type of people in general.... Back in the day people seemed to be cleaner and more respectful... Now I see most people don't wipe their equipment after they are done, they come in groups and hog weights (can you not put them back after each set so that other people can use them?), they drop the weights instead of gently putting them down, they park wherever they feel like (including spots that aren't meant for parking), and they just seem to have less respect for people around them (e.g., standing and talking in the door way when you try to walk in/out, or sitting in the change room on their phones for extended periods and therefore taking up precious locker space). Recommendations to Crunch Fitness: 1) remodel the bathroom (it's disgusting) and either fix or buy new equipment. 2) then, and this is important, hire people to clean and maintain the gym. 3) finally, have people enforce the rule (i.e., do not hog weights, do not drop weights, etc.). Following these 3 simple steps will ensure this gym rises back to what it once was as Popeyes and will make the gym-going (and I suspect working) experience better for everyone. Thanks! Sincerely, a disappointed customer who saw the gym in its prime and has witnessed it become a dump....

Forced me to choose a personal trainer. I have reconsidered and giving a good rating because Management, is really good and they came to me and enquired about it.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for over a month because of a personal reason. The guys at the front desk says they do not have the authority to do that. Managers do not meet, they do not reply to emails, cannot come on a call or gives a callback. The worst experience I have with any gym as a customer this is really disappointing, disrespectful.

Expérience négative: I just left after over 15 years. My only regret is I didn't leave sooner. Machines are in bad repair. Lots of broken ones and missing pieces. Noisy members smashing weights. No one puts anything back. Terrible gym etiquette. Filthy change rooms. Garbage left on the floor upstairs daily. I was there 5-6 days a week. Weights and plates all over the floor or left on machines. Tanning beds are often dirty with staff barely around. If you do complain, nothing is done. The smell of BO is overpowering and gym is way overcrowded. Popeyes was amazing, World Gym was good. When Crunch took over it went downhill fast. Sad to see what was once a good gym fall apart like this due to bad management.

Expérience négative: Great variety of gym equipment, great selection of classes - , cardio training, weight training , yoga, zumba. Liked sauna and hydro massage as well. Clean and sanitized. Only issue was personal training program - my god , they are very quick to get your direct deposit information and money will get cut even before your first session starts. They delayed first session itself a lot and cancel sessions way too many times on last moment. . Even if you tell them clearly( in writing email , in person ,on call ) - you want closed membership for few months still they will give you open membership so your money will keep on getting deducted even though you want to stop training after few months only. Contact them again and again for your issue , cancelling membership , refund - it will still be delayed . Then they will blame ( clear victim blaming ) you for not contacting sooner as if you don't matter at all but your money matters . So ya, this place has it's pros ans cons. If you have good knowledge of workout by yourself, then it's cheap and good.

Smelly, mostly 85% men, not a great experience at all. Equipment is outdated and poorly arranged. They advertise as cheap but after the annual fee ect it's really not.

Expérience négative: DO NOT JOIN. Straight up 0 starts. The only problem with this gym is they DO NOT have transparency in cancellation of membership. They will rob you for sure! You email them or call them or reach out on social media, Its not gonna be easy. I had a tough time to cancel my membership and till then I was charged. Not recommended to join here. There are a lot of other options in kitchener.

She is Very experienced & she understand clients need at the same time. Sad to leave her due to my job transfer but i would definitely come back just to get back on my fitness journey with her. Expérience fantastique: Nice gym, polite and very helpful stuff, equipment in good shape. Can only point out for bad shape of drinking water fountains and small amount of cleaning stations at lifting are, sometimes you have to walk far to clean your equipment. However I still give 5 stars, just because one of your employees was exceptionally nice and helpful, solved issues with my account right away and without any additional work from my side.

Expérience positive: For the price of $10/month I can't really complain. It does get over-packed between 3pm-7pm and you sometimes have to wait a while for a machine. Overall, the staff is friendly and most of the people that use the gym are helpful.

Expérience négative: I find it kind of ridiculous that you have to go in person to cancel the membership. I havn't been able to go to the gym because of health issues and I wanted to cancel but I cant. This is unacceptable and I am very dissapointed. They charged me $85 dollors and you cant get the annual fee back so now im basically stuck with a membership I cant use all because I'm not well enough to show up in person.

Expérience fantastique: The machines don’t always get maintenance quickly but for how cheap the memberships are and all the stuff you get with the membership, I can’t complain one bit. Best bang for your buck out of any gym. They have a dry sauna and massage beds (movati doesn’t even have massage beds for 8x the cost). The employees here are super chill and friendly too. I love the environment in the weights room, the old fashioned plates and machines combined with the overall aesthetic makes for an environment where you truly feel like pushing yourself. This place feels like a powerlifting gym but costs less than planet fitness

Expérience négative: I tried to cancel my membership by email several months ago and never heard back. The money was still coming out my account. When talking to the front desk they said the emails sometimes gets lost on the server. Really??? Very disappointed in the customer service !!!

Expérience fantastique: The best crunch gym by far, still has the old school vibe from the Popeye years. I love the diversity of equipment and layout. You can do your thing without feeling being on the spot or watched.

Expérience négative: They tried to force me to come in to the location to cancel my membership. It took me over a week of back and forths for them to finally send me a thing to sign digitally. They can do it but lie about it saying it's not possible. Scummy.

Expérience fantastique: To Talk about my journey in fitness in few words, I have to thank a lot to Sai kishore chalumuri(personal trainer crunch fitness Kitchener ) to make my fitness goal to reach Intially I took membership in crunch Fitness at 2021 september and doing by my self and suddenlly I spoted sai training some one in gym and inspired by his way of training&teaching and reached him about my goals he explained and did a detail full body check up and gave me a good fitnes consultation and gave fit flow chart to reach my goal and in 90 DAYS I loose 25 pounds AND 12 percentage of fat in 65 days and still contiuing my training with sai on various strength programs . He gave me Excellent nutrtion suggestions. HE GAVE ME out standing fitness programs. I have never seen a coach who will push like Sai He is friendly, flexible, talkative best coach to push hard. Expérience fantastique: While visiting this gym I met Sai Kishore. He explained to me how he can help out to get desired outcomes in a few months. I started my journey under his guidance. He designed a workout plan, and diet chart according to my preference. Every week, I learned about targeting different muscles and how to activate a particular range of motion using weights. Sometimes, I felt that I am not able to target that muscle I wanted to do. He checks out my way of motion and briefly explains the problem occurring to me during exercise. This helped me a lot to learn about muscles. Whenever I am not able to lift heavy weights, he motivates me and gives me lighter support to lift the weight and increase weight at every set. With the help of his diet chart and workout plan, I gained 10 pounds in a month. He also gave me a training about fat loss using HIIT workout. However, our goal is to take my body weight to another level with hard work. I appreciate his extraordinary teaching skills. He has a lot of knowledge and I am eagerly wanted to grasp it under his guidance.

Expérience négative: This is a worst gym. Can't imagen that the sauna couldn't be fixed during half a year even if it was complained to the team several times. I have no idea what the team is doing except for charging month fee.

Expérience fantastique: I had a great experience in this gym. My trainer,Sai Kishore chalumuri , is an excellent trainer who cares for all my concerns. I had issues with my knee and could not work out because of that, but Sai, being a superb trainer, customized my workout so that my knees were not affected. He motivated me to finish my training without draining my energy consistently. I used to feel fatigued while working out, but he also guided me with a diet that helped me be calorie deficient and lose weight without feeling weak. He is very professional, yet you can easily talk to him about any concerns you have beyond the working hours. I've been doing workouts with Sai Kishore chalumuri for 2-3 months now, and I am amazed at my progress! I'm hitting goals I never thought were even possible for myself. He ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries. He is highly reliable and punctual—always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned. I thoroughly enjoy my workout now and would recommend Sai to anyone looking to improve their fitness.

Expérience fantastique: I have a very good experience with this gym, with the way the gym is organized and the quality of the equipments. I joined this gym with an intention of losing body fat and gaining lean muscle. So, i enrolled for a 1 year training program with a personal trainer, whose name is Sai. My aim is to lose around 16-20 pounds and so far i have achieved the goal of reducing 16 pounds within a month and a half thanks to the support and guidance from Sai and his diet plan, which has worked wonders for me till now. His Training is really effective and i can feel the difference. He is also really down to earth and approachable at any point of time. He is ready to help achieve the goal in all ways possible. Overall, i would give the highest rating to him for helping me in reducing 16 pounds, which i had never dreamt of in my life. Thank you to my trainer Sai and the entire crew of Crunch Fitness. Expérience fantastique: Taking a moment to appreciate crunch and my personal trainer. Sai has been awesome to me. He really cares and goes above and beyond to help me achieve my goals. The 45 min training goes super fast and i really enjoy doing it. I am already seeing a big change in my energy levels and body. I have struggled with weight gain all my life, but now i am up by 16 lbs and this gave me amazing confidence boost and that i can achieve my goals. Sai always push me in the right way. It’s a intense workout with happy people! And I am seeing results for sure. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sai to anyone who is struggling to achieve their fitness goals. I’ll also like to thank joey for introducing me to such a dedicated personal trainer. I look forward to walking through the doors and always feel amazing when I leave.

Expérience fantastique: I had great experience in this gym. I was traing under Sai kishore chalumuri. He is one of the best trainers I have ever met. He taught me a lot and helped me throughout my sessions. He is great inspiration for all. He scheduled my training sessions to achieve my goals. He gave me perfect diet plan and strategies of workout. After 2 months I could see an outstanding change in my body weight. Basically I recommend sai if you are planning to join here. He will take care of you. He will help you to get your goals.

Expérience fantastique: This place has been a great start for me to get fit. The staff have been very friendly and always ready to help and guide. I signed up for personal training with Mr. Sai Kishore Chalamuri and his profile, experience was really impressive. His way of handling my workout schedules with utmost commitment and professionalism is something I really like. Also, his deep knowledge of micro and macro nutrition was of great help in sorting out my diet with ease. The workouts are always fun and challenging at the same time. I lost 12 pounds in 4 weeks and now working on building muscle. I look forward to having more workout sessions with my friend and mentor for fitness Sai Kishore.

Expérience fantastique: With this gym, the way it is set up, and the calibre of the equipment, I have had a very positive experience. I joined this gym with the goal of gaining weight and lean muscle. I therefore signed up for 6 months for training course with Sai, a personal trainer. My goal is to gain weight between 12 to 20 pounds, and thus far, thanks to Sai's support, advice, and his diet plan, which has been quite effective for me thus far, I have gained 14 pounds within a month and a half. I can definitely tell a change, thanks to his training. He is also very personable and down to earth at all times. He is prepared to assist in whatever manner necessary to reach the objective. Overall, I would give him the greatest grade possible since he made it possible for me to gain 14 pounds—a feat I had never in my life imagined. Thank you to Crunch Fitness' entire staff and my trainer Sai. Continue your wonderful work.

Expérience fantastique: I have been training at crunch fitness Kitchener for the past 1 year. The gym has a variety of equipments for all types of exercises. Ay first I was a bit overwhelmed and didn’t know how to plan my workouts and how to make proper use of the machines available. And then they provided a free consultaion session with a personal trainer, Sai. He gave an amazing class and explained the use of machines and the science behind muscle recovery. I felt he was knowledgeable and motivating. He always pushed me beyond my limits and never let me put down my dumbell until I am done with my rep count. I am happy with my results with sai kishore guidance. Even though I opted him for half an hour a week I never felt its less. His program and nutrition plan along with daily checkins helped me a lot. Highly recommend.

Expérience négative: EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE, I've been trying to cancel way before the COVID LOCKDOWN and called and was told to physically come in and cancel and that was the only way to cancel...which clearly goes against COVID regulations and they're lieing. They have continued taking out money out of my bank account.. even tho the gym itself is closed and the payments are suppose to be FROZEN till further notice. Tons of money has been taken out of my account( it adds up over time) and random charges of 36.99 has also came out of my account on numerous occasions. This gym is literally a mess and from all the reviews I've been reading they are AVOIDING everyone at all costs...

Expérience négative: They make it impossible to cancel during COVID and will charge you ridiculous hidden fees. Payed $100 to visit this gym ONCE because of their terrible customer service and they refuse to issue a refund for the “annual maintenance fee” even though I cancelled within a month. No COVID protocols being followed, ancient equipment in cramped spaces, zero sense of customer service or appreciation. Worst gym of existence.

Expérience fantastique: I've been wanting to go to the gym for awhile but didn't know how to get started. I joined at the end of July & cam across an amazing opportunity to work with Padit who is a very skilled fitness trainer! He has gotten me up & started, training me properly & pushing me to reach my goal in fitness! He has been so helpful over the past 3 / 4 weeks! A very energetic, Empathetic, polite, and hard working trainer. I recommend if you are starting out at the gym or are stuck figuring out what to do I recommend Padit!

Expérience négative: Small, packed in, smells horrible and weak AC system. It can be quite busy here, men's room smells of urine because all surfaces are coated in it. Most members do not rack their weights, and leave a mess, it may be because their mother works there and surely Mommy will tidy up after them. A smaller number of members have poor etiquette, acting like they own the gym. Though the price is right, and we try to go at the less busy hours.

Expérience fantastique: I joined this gym at the beginning of the year in need of a personal trainer. My main reasons for getting a PT were to i. Improve my form, so I can workout safely, and ii. Lose weight. After discussing my goals in a thorough 1-1 session with Joey (great guy), I was assigned to Sai Kishore and I can confidently say that he’s the best PT I’ve had so far. Sai is a multi award winning fitness coach and model so you know he knows his stuff. Through his professional expertise, vast knowledge on various muscle groups and proper nutrition, he plans out weekly fitness routines and designed a calorie deficit meal plan tailored to me and my needs. Since joining, I’ve been able to achieve my goals. I’m able to safely handle gym equipments because now I know the right ways use them and I’ve lost about 20lbs! I’ve even had two of my friends join this gym after seeing my results!! I also want to recognize the entire Crunch Kitchener instructors and staff for their dedication and all the help they render. You guys rock!!!

Expérience fantastique: Hi, Very friendly staff, totally helpful, nice and knowledgeable trainers. I got trained for 6 months by SAI. I was his first client so i guess for him it was special as well. He used to push me to the limits and sometimes over the limits which i was expecting out of the training. He prepared me the meal plan and kept checking up on me if i had diet or not. Provided me with exercises and showed me when its a session day. Very humble guy. I also appreciate JOEY to gather these professionals who values their client’s time and money. Really nice experience! When i will be back, i know who to go to.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is awesome and the membership is super cheap for what you get, the staff are great and super helpful, always ready to answer questions and the equipment is top of the line there's at least 2 or 3 of everything so even when it's busy you have no problem getting access to what you need to use. It's a great workout environment the energy there is great all in all best gym I've been too.

Expérience négative: I would easily give a 5 star review if they kept up on maintenance issues in a timely manner. Aka doesn’t take more than a couple hours at most to fix a urinal. Sauna was showing signs of having issues for atleast a month before finally going out of service. Water drinking fountain has been out of service for weeks now, none of the water fountains are chilled (not sure if they purposely have it at room temperature but the maintenance history is pointing me to believe otherwise). The sauna isn’t why I go to the gym, but man it is a great reward at the end of a good workout. I know a good plumber if you would like me to pass along their number. Otherwise it is a great gym. Staff is friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need. Great atmosphere.

Expérience négative: Good equipment and spaced out nicely. My only complaint is that when I first started coming here I booked a kickoff session and asked for a personal trainer. They tried to get me to join their 3/6/9/12 month package, but I just wanted their individual rates for 3 times. They took all my information and never contacted me even though I called in asking to book something. Completely ignored me since I'm not worth their time.

Expérience fantastique: I've been a member since pre-COVID, and I have to say, for the price, I can't complain. I had no issues with freezing my membership during COVID, and they were super understanding of my situation and fear of infecting a family member who was immunocompromised. Otherwise, like I said, for the price, there's a huge array of equipment to use. The staff are also super knowledgeable and although it took a while, I feel really comfortable there now!

Expérience fantastique: This crunch location offers a lot for a budget gym. For a small monthly fee, you get access to a bunch of free weights and new machines. Most machines are great and are well maintained. During high population times, the gym becomes insanely packed and you will be forced to wait for different equipment. If you can go to the waterloo location, do so, but for anyone looking for convenience and dont mind waiting during peak hours, stay with this location.

Expérience fantastique: Very good facility and has plenty of equipment/weights. The staff is friendly. There are certain things which are beyond the facility's control and one of them is sanitizing the seat/bench after the workout. I guess it's up to the individual and many are not following it.
