Expérience fantastique: I trained with Ben at Gym on Fennell for three months leading up to my wedding this September, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Ben is an incredible trainer. Knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in my progress. I saw great results and steady improvement throughout our sessions, and he really set me up for long-term success by teaching proper form, a variety of exercises, and how to structure my workouts moving forward. I’d highly recommend Ben to anyone looking for a skilled and supportive trainer.

Expérience fantastique: Best gym in town. Fair pricing on a monthly basis, as opposed to the tricky bi-monthly basis, some other gyms in the region use. Excellent and complete set of equipment kept in clean and working condition. They're limited membership quota ensures that there's very little to no weight for equipment at any given time of the day. There's also some nice included amenities like an inbody device which you can use regularly at your leisure. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and as trainers they're effective and understanding.

The staff are extremely helpful, the facilities are extremely clean and well kept, and the members actually talk to each other. I would highly recommend this gym.

Expérience fantastique: I had a membership here for a couple of years and really liked the facility. Never overcrowded and very clean. The only downside was that it was a long drive and hard to fit into my day, so in the end I bought a treadmill and cancelled my membership. This is why I am reviewing here. Their membership cancellation process was really straightforward. I just sent a quick email asking to cancel and they replied back same day that they had put it through for the next billing cycle, no pressure, no paperwork. Very classy. I would highly recommend this gym.

My trainer understands my goals and has developed a program that is tailored to meeting my specific goals. The results are fantastic. Working with a trainer has created motivation for me, improved my abilities and established accountability. It is clean and safe, using a key card system that keeps the gym accessible only to members. The door will open to members any time and any day. Parking is ample and free. There are nice changing rooms, wash rooms, and showers. Lockers are always available. The gym is an attractive and pleasant place to spend time and energy. The equipment is first class. All ages, genders, and levels of expertise can be present at any time. People are friendly but respectful, so members can keep their focus without extra stress. There is enough equipment to keep everyone busy, whether there are dozens of people present or only a few. The staff are readily available, friendly, and helpful. The crew of personal trainers are wonderful to work with. They are fully trained and certified experts who are nice bright people who can lead members to meet their goals in safe, effective, rewarding programs. Expérience négative: Mediocre at best. Intolerably crowded from 3pm-8pm and most people are just sitting on the equipment staring at their phones or flexing in the mirror and taking pictures. There is one womens' washroom and one single toilet and even those have people just loitering around on their phones while using it. It's dimly lit everywhere and for whatever reason there are couches in the change room. It comes to $72/month with taxes (it said $64 during enrolment and that gave the impression of including taxes) which is a lot of money to come in and have the machinery taken and only one change room. Calling it a "boutique" gym is just a euphemism.

Expérience fantastique: I've tried several gyms in the past, but never really felt comfortable enough to commit. They were either too crowded or loud or intimidating. I ended up finding The Gym on Fennell and that all changed. This is a fantastic gym with great equipment and excellent staff. It is always clean and never gets too crowded. Sean helped me multiple times throughout my time at the gym and always offered exemplary service. If I was not moving, I would stay at this gym as long as possible.

I want to give a special shoutout to Joy who I had a complimentary personal training session with. Joy went above and beyond to understand my fitness goals, and took the time to show me workouts I can easily incorporate into my routine. She was so kind, nonjudgmental, and genuinely gave me more confidence when using machines I was otherwise scared to try on my own. Personal training sessions aren’t in the budget for me right now, but when they are I’d absolutely love to work with Joy again.

Expérience négative: I was at this gym for almost two years. The first year it was great, I used to come here and not have any issues with getting a machine. You have a key card that grants access and its not too expensive for a membership. They also had really great draws to make new recruits feel welcome. Unfortunately, the last couple months it was non-stop not being able to get a machine that I could use but it was also a good amount of teenagers messing around on the equipment. Sadly, at point one of the trainers was encouraging the behaviour and I finally had enough. If you're going to work at a gym with expensive equipment, it's probably best to treat it with respect and not interrupt other people's workouts. Sad to see this membership go.

Fantastic gym, been there a week so far and it’s never busy. ‘Busy’ is somewhere around 12 people, which, if you’ve been to Goodlife or 5star it really isn’t much. Extremely clean and well kept with tons of equipment. I love that they have a Peloton too! Other members are respectful and wipe everything down after use as well. Would’ve given 5 stars but my biggest complaint is they don’t have a barbell, which I understand is likely because it’s a 24/7 gym and staff may not be around after hours in case of injury. Overall one of the nicest gyms I’ve been to!

If you’re looking for something clean, quiet and professional this is the gym to go too. The policies are clear and you’re given a tour before you sign up with an opportunity to ask questions. The only non 5 star reviews are cause by arrogance.

Expérience fantastique: Agree with my friend Dalton. Signed up back in July 2022, and have been a consistent Gym On Fennell go-er ever since. The staff I've acquainted myself with so far such as Sean, Ben, and Adriana are all chill and very diligent. Some even work to extremely late hours to accommodate the 24/7-ness of the gym. The members who've culminated here all have similarly friendly mindsets and have helped me a lot too. All of this happened to someone who's not that extroverted either. It's really that comfortable here. Because members are limited and entry is by card access, even heading into the gym makes you feel like someone heading into a special, secret organization, lol. That's something I unexpectedly found motivating me to stop by even more. For the first gym I've ever been to, I can't be happier to know the closest gym to my home turned out to be the most perfect one. I look forward to gaining more memories in this place, and bringing my sister back here to get in shape next year too!

Expérience positive: Just signed up!! I've worked out for almost 20 years and this is one of the most beautiful gyms I have been too. Wonderful staff and a wonderful facility. Been going since November 2021. Still a wonderful facility. I did go around 7:30 PM tonight and it was busy to the point where I had to modify my workout and wait for specific machines (first time I experienced this). Most other times have been great.

Expérience fantastique: The Gym on Fennell is an extremely clean, unique, and intimate gym experience. I cannot emphasize the cleanliness of this gym enough... Between guests required to wear indoor shoes only, everybody wiping equipment after use and staff constantly sweeping / mopping it is by far the cleanest gym I've ever attended. Another huge plus is that even during peak hours the gym never feels crowded or overwhelming at all. They have all the equipment you need to target any muscle you want, as well as offering a yoga / warm up / body weight workout room. The Gym on Fennell also offers some of the best treadmill / stationary bike / rowing machines I’ve come across, with them offering custom renderings of you on a track to make the workout more immersive, or straight 1on1 videos of a trainer motivating you. The changing area and showers are always well kept and tidy. All of the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable on any fitness / nutrition questions you may have, especially Sean! The hydro massage tables they offer are a game changer after a hard workout. The gym on Fennell is definitely worth a look at, especially if you despise the crowd and ambience of big box store gyms, which I know I do!

Expérience négative: I was a member here, Yes they have lot of machines and it’s nice because it’s open 24 hours. But they never told on the day when I started about i need to have 30 days notice for cancelation or do pause. And once i called and told to pause my membership but they don’t and they don’t said anything, just say ok but still money gone from my account and when i asked they said you need to call us before one month minimum but why they don’t said on the day when i called before. But Finally a month before it canceled. Thank god.

Expérience positive: Definitely a well kept gym, but very small, and pricey. Has some cool machines, but no free weight squat racks or bars. It doesnt get very busy, so if you like a small knit gym, and can afford 44 and change month, then i would definitely recommend gym on fennell!

Expérience fantastique: Just joined up last night. Bruce stuck around after his shift ended to accomodate me and my schedule, which was extremely nice of him. The club itself is immaculate. Beautiful hardwood floors and brick walls like a Manhattan style loft. State of the art equiptment that is kept in top condition, and limitations on memberships so you're never stuck waiting around for a machine. Shout out to Ben as well for answering my emails so promptly!

Expérience fantastique: Absolutely love this gym, I intended to sign up for a few short months while my CrossFit gym was shut down and as it happens I never left! It’s just too good working out here. The gym is beautiful, quiet, and you never need to wait for a machine. The ownership is always looking critically at the equipment on the floor to switch it up for clients - if a machine is very popular or is not used very much changes are made quickly to ensure that clients have what they need and love to workout with. The staff is fantastic, Sean has coached me 1 on 1 and given me great general tips to get the most out the time I put in at the gym. I particular enjoy the wellness room here, you can get really great data on your progress and body composition at a fraction of the cost you would spend getting this information via a registered dietician or clinic. Really thankful I stumbled across this little gem!

The other gym users are respectful and friendly as well. I had some personal training sessions with Sean and it was a good experience. He works with you to achieve your goals, recognizes your limits and pushes you to work hard. He also taught me some boxing basics which was fun and a great workout.

Expérience fantastique: Excellent gym. I have had memberships at many gyms over the last 23 years and this one is quite different and I love it. It is very clean, well maintained and it is not over crowded. On top of that there is plenty of parking and it is actually 24/7 (not sorta 24/7 like other places). The only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars is that the music they play is oldies rock. I wish they would play more modern and higher energy music but I just bring my earbuds and play my own music on Spotify. Besides the music it is a great gym! EDIT: I bumped my review up to 5 stars because they play much better music now and they keep improving the equipment!
