Expérience fantastique: When I moved to Halifax a few months ago, I knew I wanted to try out FX. FX is widely talked about in the lifting community around NS because of how amazing a facility it is, so I decided to see if the rumours were true. Now that I’ve been lifting here for a while, I can confidently say that FX is the best gym I’ve ever been to. The equipment and community are unmatched by any other gym in the province, perhaps the Maritimes. And they have a powerlifting room! My FX lifts are always the highlight of my day. Highly recommend trying the place out!

Expérience fantastique: Was in town for a week and needed a gym away from home. A close friend recommended Fitness FX so I thought I'd check it out. I've been on a fitness journey for the last year, and premier gyms like Fitness FX still seem intimidating to a relative newbie like me, but Sean (the owner) and Daniella met me at the counter, and were so pleasant and welcoming I was excited to give this place a try. In short, the facilities are incredible (and a far cry from the very modest, aging weight room I use at my local community centre). There are all kind of people/bodies in various stages of their respective fitness journeys and everyone I came in contact with was just plain lovely. An enviable set up for weights with lots of dumbells and every conceivable cable machine. A big selection of cardio machines, as well as large space for fitness classes, and even a dedicated room for powerlifters. This place has it all, and none of the attitude I feared might come with a gym of this quality. Anyways, I will absolutely be dropping in anytime I'm in Halifax in the future. If you're looking for a gym in Halifax, you need to check out Fitness FX.

Expérience fantastique: My time at Fitness Fx was great! I did not have a day where I disliked the machines; the flow of traffic runs quite smoothly, and it's not overly busy. Overall, it was a great workout experience.

Expérience fantastique: A great, friendly, open gym, with lots of machines. I picked my times for mid morning, usually, and never had to wait for a machine.

Expérience fantastique: I am disabled and in my early 50's. I did my research and found an excellent trainer and welcoming atmosphere at FitnessFX. A true no judgment environment where ppl just mind their business. I feel comfortable and welcome. I encourage anyone older or with disabilities to give this place a try. I was surprised at how much equipment was easy to use and to adjust as a disabled person. You will find something that will help you, but maybe get a trainer who can help guide you. I highly recommend Rebecca. Great staff, clean, and well maintained as well!

Expérience fantastique: It's an ok gym for bodybuilding overall. The downsides are some staffs were very rude and some influencers are inconsiderate with personal spaces. The equipments are generally well-maintained. Edit: The owner reached out and addressed my concerns thoughtfully. Really awesome guy who clearly cares about his business. Updating to 5 stars for him.

Expérience fantastique: It was great to go and check out Fitness FX new place after years of being away from the city. The staff were great at welcoming me, and even allowing me to check out the new location before I signed up. Seeing Sean and some old school members made me feel at "home" again here. The new machines, mixed with the old school ones gives everyone different options to hit their goals. The new facility is bigger than the old one, let alone, closer to where I was staying. Staff is always smiling and responding to any questions that I have. If you are looking for a locally owned gym in Halifax that caters to everyone, this is the place.

Staff, trainers, and other gym goers are incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive. Truly a community like no other!!

Inspiring environment full of people who are working towards their goals, and fun community building events to participate in or attend as a viewer. Expérience fantastique: I love this gym! I love the spacious layout, abundance and variety of equipment. The trainers and staff are friendly, knowledgable, and available for a quick chat or some advice. It is inspiring to watch the professional athletes do their workouts as well as the variety of “regular folks” getting their fitness on. The social media game of the clients is excellent and will make you never want to miss a day. All fitness levels and ages are on parade and it’s great to see. I would not hesitate to recommend this gym to any one, of any age, or fitness level, who is looking for a workout space. Friendly, open and so inspiring- this place is everything you need in a gym.

Expérience fantastique: I had a heart issue I needed to deal with and now I am back and ready to workout again. This fitness studio is clean, well organized and just fantastic. Working with Sean was easy and I felt welcomed and comfortable. Brandon showed me how to use some machines I wasn’t familiar with and that process was great, too. I know I will reach my fitness goals at Fitness Fx. The energy at this gym is positive and motivating. I just love working out here!

Having lived in downtown Toronto and Montreal the last few years really makes me appreciate this giant gym that has 7-10 people max working out in the morning. Amazing selection of plate loaded equipment and dumbells that go up to 180. Good gym for regular folks and massively juiced up Megatrons. Seems to attract the local bodybuilders. It's expensive but they had a good deal on for the 2 weeks I was there.

Expérience fantastique: I workout here when I come back to Halifax for the holidays. The gym is a great spot to powerlift - Super spacious place and I never have to wait to use the equipment. The staff are also very friendly! I would say the gym seems more like an influencer gym (i.e. people taking pictures of their workouts) and as a 9-5 young professional - it can be a different environment than what I am used to but that’s just something to be mindful of when working out here.

Expérience fantastique: As far as Nova Scotia goes, this is by far the best gym I’ve been to yet. Everything from the layout, to the selection of equipment, atmosphere, and staff hospitality have gone beyond my expectations, all for a very reasonable price. If I lived closer this would definitely be my go-to gym, although I will still visit frequently. I highly recommend this gym to anyone, as you won’t be disappointed.

I love that all the sections (cardio, powerlifting, and machines) are divided in sections that gives you a feeling of privacy you wouldn’t get in an open concept gym. Totally recommend that you go take a peak at this facility! You won’t regret it

Expérience fantastique: Fitness FX is a fantastic gym. It is SO spacious. The sense of community is strong. The staff members are passionate about training and from What I’ve experienced is that they are open to chatting about mindset, diet, training styles and are there to hype up the community in general. I love this gym because weather you are a content creator, coach, or are there to train and record, filming is welcome, which for me personally is important to track progress, develop my form and send to my online coach. It feels really safe. The equipment is awesome. SOO many great machines, a powerlifting room, posing room, boxing room, quiet back room with dumbbells, mats and slam/medicine balls, multiple squat racks, endless choices for cardio….It’s set up to train for almost anything! They also play hype music all throughout the gym. Fun perk, The separate training rooms have systems to hook up your own music. Check it out. It’s a damn inspiring place to be in.

Expérience fantastique: Amazing gym. As someone who has extreme gym anxiety I was supper anxious to enter my first time. I was blown away by how welcoming everyone is. Everyone at FX wants everyone to succeed in whatever their going for. Amazing machines you won’t find else where and an amazing community. Honestly the fx community is becoming a second family to me I look forward to going in and seeing everyone

Expérience fantastique: Amazing gym and staff. Biggest gym I’ve been to, and I made use of as much equipment as I could before I left. Particularly enjoyed the punching bags, and having gloves available was very helpful. Just about everything you could possibly need in a gym all at one place.

The machines were top quality, the staff was very friendly and to me most importantly the gym was clean and sanitary. The space is way bigger than I suspected from the outside. I will definitely be going back using there day passes and depending on my gym journey I would love and thrive being a member with FitnessFX

From the friendly front desk staff, knowledgeable trainers, to the abundance of great equipment you won’t find anywheres else. Locally owned and operated Sean (owner) is just a great person. How many other gym owners greet you on your way in/out by your first name and ask you how your workout went? If you are on the fence, or intimidated to go in -reach out to Sean. I guarantee you will not regret it!

Expérience fantastique: This gym is a great find! I was visiting Nova Scotia and wanted a place to train and I was very satisfied. The equipment is top notch and the staff are friendly. I've seen some comments here about the locker room/bathrooms but when I visited in November 2023 they were clean and modern (including a hair dryer in the men's washroom). This is a great option for people visiting the Halifax area, especially if you have a car. (The gym's in Clayton Park, which is a short drive from downtown.) Be sure to check out their weekly passes, which are much better value for money than other gyms in town. The parking's also free, which is awesome!

Expérience fantastique: If you want to workout at a place that is invested in your success, has great equipment, staff and an encouraging community Fitness FX is the place to go! That all starts at the top with the owner Sean who sees you as more than just a number. He is creating an amazing environment where anyone from beginners to the most experienced bodybuilders/powerlifters can thrive. Since I’ve joined he’s been an awesome encouragement and support as I work towards my training goals. Then you have Brian, Austin, Ally and the rest of the staff at the front desk who are always asking what the workout for the day is or answering any questions you might have. Finally the support within the community is unmatched. It doesn’t matter if you are in there trying to loose weight or get ready for a body building show people see and acknowledge the hard work you are putting in!

Expérience fantastique: Love the environment & equipment at Fitness FX. It’s different than the other gyms I’ve been to around here & I always have great workouts! On top of that, the owner is super nice and I love the fact that I was able to shoot content in the gym. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to take their training to the next level, get around other like minded people or just have a safe space to create content.

Expérience fantastique: Well its been many yrs since Ive ran my hands across the old steele that laid the floors of the oldest Mecca. Recently I dawned the floors of the Mecca once again, running my hand down the dumbell rack, the smell of the Old Steele, the flash of memories that came soaring back reminded mw of the latenights, early mornings, the preps, the records that were broke. It was a humbking trip down memory lane. The new location still has that Old School feeling with a New School twist. It was chest day so I hit all the old dependables and through in some work with a few new pieces. I shoved around some 300's and pushed through some 400's. It was nice to go back to where it all began and am looking forward to droppin in again.

Expérience fantastique: i’d give fitness fx a 10000/5 if i could. i worked out here for about 4 months and i joined a family that i never knew could exist in a fitness community. the staff are supportive, caring and always willing to help no matter the circumstances. the equipment is beyond amazing and i’m counting down the days till i’m able to go back. the facility is huge! has everything you could possibly need. i usually go in the mornings and not kidding you there are no more than 6 people in there at a time, can’t get that anywhere else!!
