Expérience négative: Trash gym. The manager lady in the front is rude to clients, heard a lot about similar experiences. Smells bad, not clean like most gyms, avoid at all costs. The trainers all dont respect equipment either, taking things and leaving them everywhere. Incompetent people.

Every session feels focused, purposeful and tailored to help me improve. Recommended to anyone looking to get serious about their fitness.

Extremely knowledgeable, he’s helped me change my perspective on exercise while pushing me to be stronger and healthier. Joe is incredibly supportive and I truly look forward to each session. He’s an incredible asset to World Gym. The gym and its facilities have been steadily improving while I’ve been a member, especially the cleanliness and staff, who are always welcoming and fun. I do wish they had more group class options for all membership levels.

The only complaint I have are that the spa is often freezing cold! and that the music during weeknight spinning classes is insanely loud. My ears rang for hours the two times I tired it. Why does it have to be SO loud?! A few other students also made comments and one spoke to the manager, but nothing is being done and Catherine is not being spoken to.

Expérience négative: This gym need to be more organized with posting updates if a class is cancelled. Today was NOT the first time I showed up to a cancelled class that was not posted. It is a real waste of time , especially when I rescheduled my morning so I can try out this new class. Update: you changed and updated your response after my complaint...you know that there were no notes of cancellation shown when I was in your office.

There is an only women's side upstairs which is great. And a mini club (nothing tops that) if you have a family! + more! Highly recommend !

Expérience fantastique: Great gym with a complete suite of good quality equipment as would be expected of an international franchise. I usually go to thee Brossard location but flexing my VIP pass with multiple location access. The gym has a good layout. Change room is clean and there are extra amenities that may be useful…I also like that there is a pool and distinct areas for dumbbells, machines and squat racks for resistance training. The price is very reasonable compared to other gyms that I would consider lower quality.

I started semi-private trainings recently with Anne and it’s been very helpful for me as far as bringing structure to my workouts. I highly recommend it. The program is personalized and tailored to my goals. She took the time to go over my history and understand what my challenges are and what I need help with. She does regular check-ins to help keep me on track with my training and with everything that goes around it (stretching, recovery, nutrition). Also, I love the fact there’s a pool. That said, I would like longer pool hours. As popular as the pool and sauna are, I’m convinced others have also expressed that. It’s a dope gym!

This has been a major inconvenience, as it is essential to have access to hot water for showers after workouts. I find it hard to believe that in a place like Quebec, no competent technician can resolve this issue in such a long time. Many members, including myself, have raised complaints about this, yet no action has been taken to address it. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable and shows a serious disregard for your members’ needs. I urge you to prioritize fixing the hot water system immediately. This matter needs to be taken seriously, as it directly affects the comfort and satisfaction of your clientele.

But what has bothered me recently is the management's lack of attention to the hot showers, which have been broken for about a month, and instead of responding appropriately, the management makes excuses every day. As I am writing this comment, I have not seen any useful action! I hope this defect will be fixed as soon as possible.

For the price (VIP) package plus what you get is an absolute bang for the buck. Especially with the new opening hours, you cannot go wrong with World Gym DDO. Lastly, Adam the coach gave me some fitness advice based on my weight and goals etc. (included in the package) and he was so welcoming and thoroughly explained what I need to do. Highly recommend! Changing rooms are clean too. Has a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a woman's only Gym section!!

Expérience négative: When I applied to this gym, I requested a monthly membership so I could cancel at any time without incurring cancellation fees. However, they signed me up for a yearly contract without informing me about it. When I called to address the issue, they said there’s no cancellation fee but that I would need to pay $180 to cancel my membership. Additionally, they required me to come in person to cancel, wasting my time. When I raised my concerns, they told me that I signed the contract and that the employee who initially helped me no longer works there. I am now adjusting my review after having my time wasted again through email. Despite having already paid the cancellation fee, they just made more excuses instead of addressing my request for a refund. Additionally, this gym consistently had equipment broken and left unfixed for extended periods. I strongly advise against joining this gym, as they have demonstrated unethical practices, poor customer service, and a lack of maintenance.

Expérience positive: I’m updating my initial review. PROS: Plenty of space. Good amount of machines & equipment. Generally clean areas. Bathroom area is generally clean. Good AC system. CONS: Men’s bathroom sinks are broken or unresponsive often. Sauna closes VERY early on weekends (1pm), this doesn’t give the opportunity to members to enjoy a sauna post workout in the afternoons. SUGGESTIONS: Expand the sauna hours in the weekends to accommodate more users.

Expérience négative: PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!! THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY IS MISLEADING. THEY CLAIM TO CHARGE 175$ WITH NO MENTION OF IT IN THE CONTRACT!! They offer a lot of services but I wouldn't trust that. I got a membership strictly for the pool and it definetely is not worth if you're a serious swimmer. The pool is small (maybe 10 meters) and not shallow at all. I decided to cancel my membership and they claimed I have to pay 175$. There was a lot of back and forth and a lot of time wasted because there's no mention of that fee in the contract and they ended up refunding me 10$ because I was an annoying customer who knows my rights.

J'étais au YMCA à Cartierville il y a qq. années, et les 2 essoreuses fonctionnaient très bien.... pourquoi celle du DDO est tjs en panne ? vous remerciant de votre grande compréhension, et je voudrais souligner l'excellent travail des employés (es) à ce gym.. Expérience fantastique: On ne s'ennuie jamais et on peut facilement varier les plaisirs pour atteindre ses objectifs. C'est donc avec plaisir que je recommande cette salle de sport. C'est l'endroit parfait pour se sentir bien, progresser et partager de bons moments sportifs.

Expérience négative: Hi. I’m a VIP member at worlds Gym in Dollard-descOrmeaux. Recently in the month of June, I fell while vacationing in Portugal, and I broke my left hand. I’m now wearing a cast and experience lot of pain. I went to speak to the supervisor at the World’s gym Allie so that I may freeze my membership temporarily. I was told that without a medical note that would be impossible to do. «  I’m sitting in front of you with a cast up to my elbow, and you’re asking me for a medical note «! How ridiculous does that sound! I’m 65 and I live on a limited income, and I have never in my life experience such lack of empathy. Doctors charge a ridiculous fee for everything they fill out. I’ve been to others gym in the area, and if i were to walk in with a sling on my arm, I wouldn’t have any difficulty with my request. Highly disappointed with your lack of respect towards members. I’m here visiting from California for 2.5 weeks and have been buying day passes to work out here because it’s convenient and the staff are really cool. I especially want to acknowledge the kindness and professionalism of Xavier, Aiushi (sp?) and Kalen. Not only did they remember me every time, they always greeted me with a smile and kind words, I feel that this is crucial to running a good business. I have had my own chiropractic office for 22 years. The equipment is great and well kept, the staff I interacted with are exceptional. Thanks for making possible my ability to continue my workouts so far from home! No doubt, when I return here next year to visit my family, I will return here again, my home away from home!

Expérience positive: All the machines and workout equipment was very good the locker rooms as well. I did have a bad experience when trying out the tanning equipment. I felt very rushed to sign a paper that was a wavier for using the equipment, I wasn't even able to read it all they just told me what to write. They asked me how much time I wanted to tan but I was asking what should I start at and they didn't seem to know so they put the machine at 10 minutes. When I went in the machine it has a very clear layout written on the machine and I was very upset because it said I should've started at 4 minutes. I went to ask if I can change the time on the machine from 10 to 4 but they told me just walk out of the machine at 4 minutes which isn't a bad solution but when I was talking to them I felt very rushed like I was bothering them and it was a very bad experience for someone who's trying out something new.

Expérience négative: Notre gym est pour moi comme une deuxième maison, c'est ce qu'il y a de mieux pour moi, nous avons eu des classes de full body ,du spinning... tout ce que nous avions besoin, mais pendant plusieurs mois j'ai été déçue car personne n'a entendu nos plaintes, beaucoup de classes ont été annulées et ils changeaient d'entraîneur Très souvent et même si nous prenons un certain temps d'adaptation, nous nous soutenons toujours mais maintenant nous n'avons plus des classes de body le soir et les cours de spinning seront annulés pendant 2 semaines ou plus. Quand j'ai commencé à faire de l'exercice il y a des années, le gérant m'a dit que notre santé serait de sa responsabilité, et que si j'avais des questions ou des commentaires, je devais m'adresser à lui, et ils les examineraient attentivement et résoudraient les problèmes, et moi et mes collègues nous ne trouverons pas que c’est le cas . Ma question est maintenant : vous souciez-vous de nous et de nos problèmes ? Si c'est le cas, j'espère que vous soyez à l’écoute Merci J’aimerais juste faire une petite modification pour mes commentaires que le gérant après quelques jours m’a appelé et ça me faire sentir bien que vous s’occuper de vos clients. Expérience négative: Friday the 17th of May I walk in and realize my fob doesn’t allow me entrance. I ask what’s wrong and they tell me my payment was not processed. I decide to make a payment with my debit card and the guy at the counter who processes it seems a bit distracted. As I walk away and scan my fob again it doesn’t turn green. So I ask him if he’s processed the payment to my account. He says yes and dismisses me. The next day, I return to my own branch and realize I’m still denied access. The girl at the counter tells me my payment wasn’t processed, to which I reply it’s impossible because I made a payment in person at the DDO location and I show her proof of payment. She tells me she can’t do nothing for me, that I have to contact the DDO location. I end up calling Saturday afternoon and the guy behind the phone doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing and tells me he’s going to put a note in my file. Comes Monday morning, I explain the situation to a guy named Joshua, he takes time to go through the file and tells me there’s NO note. And tells me the manager will call me when he gets in. Waited all day, the manager never called me. I end up calling myself and talking to a guy named Maxime, Maxime ends up retrieving my payment with my debit card number, tells me its fixed and here we are, Tuesday morning where Joshua tells me again that no one fixed anything because my access with my fob still was NOT working. The only competent person who actually helped was Joshua. The manager and the rest of the staff were completely useless. Wasted my time back and forth with them for a payment that was made yet had to call them 3 times and explain my situation to every individual behind the phone who couldn’t put 2 and 2 together or hold their attention together long enough to fix my situation.

Expérience fantastique: Coach Nick is a great mentor and motivator. He posts his weekly workout plans ahead of time for us to plan when we want to work out. He also provides nutritional and supplement advice which is helpful for beginners like myself. I highly recommend him if you want to take your fitness to the next level.

Expérience positive: Good variety of classes, lots of machines available. When joining, you get a session with a coach. It is NOT to give you a program or show you the machines. It is to sell you a coaching program. And according to the banter I heard while waiting « you have a 80% chance of closing if the person is francophone ». I guess it payed to speak in English when I arrived.

Expérience négative: The worst possible gym. The manager is what makes it such a garbage experience. He has 0 time to speak to clients. Stay away.

Expérience fantastique: Coach Nick is a very dedicated coach that will work with you to achieve your fitness goal. Provides his own plans and nutrition guidelines to help you stay on track. Highly recommend signing up with him.

Expérience négative: I don’t have much to say about the gym itself, but back in 2019 right before COVID hit my sister and I had got a personal trainer. Due to COVID happening they closed the gyms. They expected us to pay 250 approximately monthly to do our sessions over zoom calls from our home with no weights no equipment nothing. This was not at all what we signed up for. When we tried to cancel they did not allow us to even under the circumstances. They refused to even try to help us and end the contract etc. not to mention this trainer was way under qualified but that’s a WHOLE other conversation. We ended up saying no we won’t have this and cut off all ties. My sister ended up having a file with collections and we owed 400$ and it affected her credit. Would not recommend this place.

Expérience négative: C’etait un excellent Gym jusqu’à il y a environ 6 mois bordel total! Il y a un grand problème de gestion! Avec deux bébés j’y vais pour sortir de ma routine pendant quelques minutes et j’y vais pour m’énerver il y a toujours un problème soit avec le systeme soit avec Mon compte soit je ne sais pas quoi n’importe quoi! N’irez pas à ce gym svp en plus les managers qu’ils mettent des jeunes de 20 ans avec de trop mauvaises manières!!!!

Expérience fantastique: Music is extremely loud and noisy. However excellent gym in west island.

Expérience positive: I like the gym, it’s clean and nice people. The only problem is they lack enough light to mid free weights and this needs to be addressed

Expérience négative: Don’t ever ever waste you hard earned money at this gym. The manager thinks he is above everyone.. including his own staff & will not give you the time of the day.

Expérience positive: Very large gym with a great pool hot tub and sauna. Many different classes and lots of instructors available. Very busy during peak times and weights area becomes à little crowded. Lots of treadmills elliptical machines as well. One négative is the pool area has limited hours and is not available always. Overall Very good gym.

Expérience positive: 2022-06-18: When I signed up they said they were going to go back to 24/7. Most of the restrictions are gone at this time. Many other gyms are doing 24 hrs. 8pm on weekends! Should there be any changes, I will update here. EDIT 2022-08-29: They have changed it to 24hrs for Weekdays. I changed my review from 2 to 3 stars. To earn a 4 or 5 star, I would suggest they keep the sauna open for longer and improve weekend hours as it still closes at 8pm. And please, the smell is terrible in the men's washroom I hope they can get rid of it. EDIT 2023-02-15: Looks like they really beefed up their staff. Lots of new faces and even a dedicated manager and cleaning staff. Looks promising for the future. 8 months into my membership now I would still avoid going at peak times since it's seriously overcrowded and good luck sticking to your workout routine. Still missing that original promise of complete 24/7. EDIT 2023-10-30: Had to make a quick remark about the pool and sauna. The pool is literally cloudy and clients are swimming in that. Still no 24/7! Looks like they will never go back to it despite the usual line by the staff "its coming soon!" EDIT 2024-03-30: Final update. After 2 years of being with this gym, I give it a 3/5. It's an average gym, meaning that to me it's not the worst or the best either. Average customer service. A new staff seems to cycle at around 6 months. Mostly young adults. That also goes for the clientele there. Still no real 24/7. Limited hours for the weekend. Sauna and pool hygiene is questionable and limited hours too. The VIP pass offers decent value compared to other gyms charging same price. You can bring a friend for free. Rush hours are to be avoided if you want to enjoy your workout.

Expérience négative: I've trained at a few gyms before, but this place is an absolute cesspool. The buzz fit graduates moved to this place, meaning no gym etiquette and no consideration, 5 kids at a machine, dumbells nowhere to be found, TVs not working, urinals not working, soap dispensers are always empty, employees just chat the day away and do nothing, the thermostat was on the ground for God's sake. I can go on, but you'd have to see it to believe it. The worst gym I have ever stepped foot in. Avoid at all costs.

Expérience négative: Disgusting management and customer service at this gym. This gym is recontacting customers who had a contract 4 years ago, now demanding they owe them money when the gym was closed during Covid and threatening them. When you call and ask questions, they cannot give you a straight forward answer and tell you to email the head office that has conflicting information with what they have on file. Stay away from this gym at all costs, they are dishonest and unorganized.

Expérience positive: The gym is nice and the changing rooms are even nicer. It gets very busy during rush hours specifically around 4 pm to 6pm. If you get the vip pass, be careful since the guest must fill up a form every time. So if you want to go with your partner for example it's quite annoying. Otherwise, the gym is really nice. The running track around the cardio machines is a nice touch. I would recommend this gym to everyone that wants to get something cheap and nice quality public gym.

Expérience positive: I put 3 stars because: all the time something does not work in the pool: Either the Sauna or the jacuzzi. There are no paper towels in the locker room all the time. What used to be before . Also, the pool floors are not always clean and the administration does not always respond to customer complaints.... The Jacuzzi is completely dirty. The spinner has not been working for several months. Even TV stopped working on treadmills.

Expérience fantastique: I couldn't let another day go by without emphasizing what an amazing class M-F offers on Thursdays at 7:00pm!!! The music and routines are super and the fusion between the Baladi and Zumba makes the class so much fun! I come all the way from downtown Montreal through traffic just to get to this class because it is that good. If you love to dance, you will enjoy this class immensely!!!

Expérience fantastique: Don’t hesitate “Just Do It”. You will not find another gym on the West Island as fantastic as World Gym DDO. It is extremely clean, well managed, super friendly and welcoming every time you walk inside. I feel part of an amazing family now, this gym saved me. The Manager Elie has truly built a family unit with his staff and this reflects on the gym. He is so kind and accommodating to everyone. The trainers are top notch all of them so helpful and encouraging. Coach Vince is excellent and motivates you above and beyond. Puts his whole heart into making everyone become their greater self both physically and mentally. Shant and Judy make the best meals and protein shakes and are always so personable and know everyone by their names. It is such a super environment to better yourself. I could go on and on with high regards for this gym. Join it and become part of their family. If I could give 10 stars I would sincerely, don’t bother at any other gym. This is the ONE

Expérience positive: Great gym! They have a wide variety of exercise machines and equipment and their workout classes (available with the VIP membership) are super diverse! They even have games on the cardio machines!! Cons: The gym is often very busy so that could be frustrating to those that prefer working out with less people around. And to bring a guest, it’s a very long and complicated process and you have to fill out an entire form every single time… it would be much nicer if we didn’t have to make the process so complicated! Overall, a clean gym with equipment for any and all sorts of activities. Have been going for almost two years and will definitely keep going here!

Expérience négative: Ma récente visite au centre d'entraînement a été décevante, plus précisément hier, le vendredi 5 janvier à 18h. En dépit de mes cinq années d'expérience en matière d'entraînement et de ma curiosité envers cet établissement, l'accueil laissait vraiment à désirer. À mon arrivée vers 18h avec mon amie qui a un compte VIP, le personnel semblait davantage concentré sur des échanges personnels que sur l'assistance aux clients. Lorsque j'ai sollicité de l'aide, on m'a simplement indiqué de scanner le code-barres de manière bête, sans fournir d'orientation proactive. Après avoir rempli le formulaire, j’ai du redemander de l’assistance, car je ne savais pas quoi faire. Derrière le comptoir, ils étaient plusieurs et j’ai pu remarquer à quel point ça niaisait plus tôt que de travailler et assister les clients chaleureusement. C’est à ce moment qu’ils m’ont ouverts la porte, enfin. L'attitude générale du personnel a contribué à créer une atmosphère peu accueillante et empreinte de jugement. Dans l'ensemble, une expérience médiocre que je ne recommande pas. Je suis vraiment déçue et je n’y retournerai pas ni moi ni mon amie.

Expérience fantastique: Wow merci à la nouvelle prof MF pour son cours de baladi fusion. Elle est structurée, bien préparée. On voit pourquoi elle a la confiance des autres profs pour faire des remplacements. Elle connait ses mouvements. C'est un cours de baladi et de Zumba. C'est tout simplement génial! Merci beaucoup World Gym pour cette belle acquisition.
