Expérience fantastique: TO SIMARDEEP I’ve been going to this gym for a while now, and I have to give a shoutout to the receptionist — she’s honestly one of the best parts of the whole experience. From the moment you walk in, she greets you with genuine energy and always remembers your name, which makes it feel like more than just another gym. She’s super organized, always on top of bookings, membership questions, and even little things like towel service or locker issues. What really stands out is how professional but still approachable she is. You can tell she actually cares about the members. I’ve seen her deal with all types of people — from regulars to first-timers — and she never loses her patience. Somehow she manages to keep everything running smoothly, even when the front desk is slammed. It’s rare to see someone take their job that seriously while still making the place feel relaxed and welcoming. Honestly, every gym could use a front desk person like her. Solid 10/10.

He tailors each workout to my goals, keeps me motivated, and always makes sure I’m doing everything with proper form. I’ve already seen great results in my strength and fitness. All is professional, supportive, and really cares about your progress. Highly recommend him to anyone serious about getting in shape!

Expérience fantastique: I had a hard time going up the stairs when I first joined but so far after training with Ali for a month I have lost 10lbs of fat and I can go upstairs easy without holding the railing. I can do situps for 20reps with no problem

The staff are always friendly and supportive, and the facility is clean, well-equipped, and welcoming. This gym has played a huge role in improving both my mental and physical health over the years. Expérience négative: Next time please change your hours on all your sites if you know you’re going to be closed so people don’t make their way there for no reason. Could save customers from experiencing this inconvenience.

Expérience négative: Typically not one to complain but they seem to struggle to repair equipment with an already limited selection of machines. I’ve been asking about the time frame for a machine to be repaired for a month now and still have no time frame for repair or replacement. Most of the other equipment is older and has wear but is still useable but I am annoyed they cannot seem to repair machines in a reasonable time frame. Front end staff is wonderful but lack of upkeep for the gym is painful. I am month to month but I am considering switching gyms at this point. The location is small and currently being renovated so it feels cramped combined with poor upkeep and limited selection of machines. I enjoy routine so I would rather not switch gyms but I might be forced to if there is no improvement.

Also be ware of cancellation fee had 3 months left on my term and they made me pay 100 dollars to cancel and are still making me pay a whole month more for what I don’t know..

Expérience négative: Disappointing Experience After 7 Years at GymVMT I’ve been a loyal member of GymVMT for over 7 years, but tonight was a complete letdown. I arrived at 10:30 PM with my little cousin, who was interested in trying out the gym with the intention of signing up. Despite the gym closing in just 30 minutes, we were told by the staff member, Gabby, that my cousin would need to pay a $25 drop-in fee just to work out for that short time. When I asked if we could sign him up for a free trial—a pretty standard offering at most gyms—Gabby wouldn’t budge at all. Even when I explained that he was considering a membership and just wanted to try it out, she still refused to accommodate us. It’s really disappointing that after all these years of loyalty, this is how GymVMT treats its members. I get that policies are in place, but where’s the flexibility and customer service? Charging $25 for a 30-minute workout and refusing to offer a trial is just bad business. If this is how they treat long-time members, I can’t imagine how they treat potential new ones. I’m seriously reconsidering my membership here. Do better, GymVMT.

Expérience négative: I’ve been going to this location for years now and I’ve seen many changes. The staff are by far the highlight. They’re personable, friendly, always smiling and saying hi. Monique is a staple and the highlight of my time there. The membership price isn’t the worst. I could go elsewhere for less with a corporate discount but this location is really convenient. The equipment has stayed the same for quite a few years. They did get some strongman implements such as a yoke but it’s disappeared. I don’t like the change rooms anymore. The lockers shrunk in size when they were renovated. It’s difficult to come before and after work. If you have two sets of clothes or even just a winter jacket you’ll likely need two lockers. For years the hot water in the men’s washroom hasn’t been hot. It’s lukewarm at best. The washrooms upstairs have hot water and most likely everywhere else.

Expérience négative: 1 star. This specific location made it very difficult for me to cancel my membership even though I completed my term. Two months prior to my term ending I specifically told them I was moving provinces in order to give them my 1 month notice and only be charged for my last two months . It was understood that once my last payment was received, I’d be relieved of any more payments. I called once my term ended and of course no one put any notes there and now I’m being charged for another full month because “I didn’t give them a month notice”. To make matters worse, the Clareview location refused to end my membership because I wasn’t in the province. Worst experience… I do not recommend this gym to anyone lol

Expérience négative: Keep receiving calls from this location as a friend had put me down as a contact for a promotion. Initial 2 calls I let them know I wasn't interested in their 14 day trial, and on the second call asked them to remove me from the list. All was good for a few days, and then the calls kept returning. Had them blocked but one call came through from a different number so ended up speaking to someone. I told them to remove me from the call list AGAIN. Today (April 6th) recive another call from them. I missed the call so I called back to AGAIN ask them to remove me from the call list. The woman who answered was rude after I told her I was upset with the constant calls, even asking a number of times to be removed from their call list. She then angerly answered "Do you think I want to call you. This is my last day". Then she hung up on me. I called back, and wanted to talk to a manager, and the same woman stated the manager wasn't there, and she was the only one who was. I then laid into her, yes I lectured her, on professionalism and even though it's her last dY, she shouldn't be taking it out on others who have the right to be upset with constant phone calls when asked numerous times to be removed from call list. Lessons learned: NEVER give out someone's phone number as this location doesn't care about people. It appears they only care about getting people in the door for a trial time, which if this behaviour is any indication shows the pressure and relentless tactics they use to sell memberships. Management/HO: ensure I'm removed from your call list.

Staff are very friendly (it's almost that place where "everybody knows your name") and the gym is large, sunny and clean, with lots of equipment. Tristan (trainer) keeps things interesting and productive with constantly varied exercises and circuits that build strength, endurance and mobility. He ensures my technique and form are correct and provides encouragement and challenge to keep my fitness always improving.

Expérience négative: Me and my partner were working out peacefully while a old man walked up to us and said “you need to put on deodorant because I can smell it all the way up” his tone was very rude and demeaning. He kept saying put on some deodorant when we told him to leave us alone. Clearly this man was racist. Not returning to this gym but the staff are amazing.

Tristan and Blair really take the time out of their day to make you feel welcome- and to get to know you on a more personal level. By far my favourite gym in the city!

But the lady was so rude over the phone that I decided screw the drop in and not switch over was best for me as talking to a grumpy old lady first thing in the am was not in my best interest. I'd say the customer service was a miss on that phonecall.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is kinda like the fortnite battle pass, which is epic for a gamer like me. But my only complaint is that fortnite is 24 hours while gvmvmt isn't, which is not a poggers moment.

If or when You want to complain, they’ll tell you to send an email to members email address ( haven’t received any response yet, been 2 weeks) RUN SOMEWHERE ELSE if you can and I hope you never have an issue and have to talk to the manager lady aka as Karen of Karen’s.

It was an amazing experience as she is very knowledgeable in her craft and I have also observed her training other people and she is very patient and understanding of their goals and needs. The staff is amazing here, they are all super friendly and welcoming and would definitely go out of their way to ensure their clients are doing well. I’ve been going here for 3 years now and don’t plan on switching anywhere else. The ONLY thing that doesn’t make this a 5 star is their hours. Wish they were open later on weekend and maybe an extra hour later on weekdays.
