Expérience positive: I've been going to this location for a number of years, but I must say, I have seen a lot of excellent, positive changes over the course of the last 6 months. The staff have really tried to step it up with trying to be more of an engaging place amongst gym-goers and have done some good rearranging of the layout. The gym has finally gotten more mirrors and squat racks after YEARS of needing it. It's nice to see that our club enhancement fees are actually going towards what they're supposed to go to! Honestly, I hate going into any public/shared washroom so I can't speak on the upkeep of those, but the sanitizer and cleaning rags for the equipment seem to always be well-stocked for the most part. During certain hours, the club can get dirtier and weights aren't re-racked, but that's typically when there's no staff on - so that's not really within their control. Some people just suck.

Expérience fantastique: I absolutely love this gym, I got my membership with this location over a year ago and the vibe of the gym was always quiet but accepting. Now with the newer staff the accepting atmosphere has only increased. It doesn't feel as if you are just going to the gym to workout but you also look forward to seeing the people there. I have been working with the trainer Tony for the last month and a bit and honestly it has been so amazing, between how uplifting he is as person and just overall his fun demeanour it makes the sessions so much more enjoyable. I have really enjoyed coming to this location and look forward to continue my journey with them !!!

Expérience fantastique: I love this gym. I always had issues with motivation and enjoying gym culture. This gym has changed my entire mindset. I love love coming here, its like a family. You are more than welcomed, you are encouraged, everyone cheers you on (internally) (some people externally lmao). This is unironically the best gym in the entire city, I couldnt recommend it more. Tony, the trainer, works alongside EVERYONE and cheers them on. He is so encouraging, uplifting, a wonderful person all around. He works with you, not against you. Hes intimidating in the best way, he will push you to your limits while cheering you on. Tl;dr This gym is the best in the entire city, everyone here is so incredible. Tony is the best personal trainer that anyone could ever ask for. I love it here ❤️❤️

Expérience négative: I visit this location regularly, and every time, the washrooms are always in poor condition, especially the toilets. They’re often dirty, which is really disappointing. The state of the toilets is just unacceptable. It's frustrating to see this issue repeatedly, and I really hope the management takes action to improve cleanliness in the washrooms.

I proceeded to come back 3 different times .. the system is always down to stop auto-renew .. DO NOT JOIN - I’m still not cancelled!!!

Expérience négative: This has got to be one of the worst managed facilities I’ve ever seen. I’ve been an AF member for several months now. In that time I’ve been to a few different locations in and out of Edmonton. Most are always clean and appear to be well maintained and staffed and would get a 5/5 rating from me. The Millwoods AF is anything but. The place has minimal bathrooms to begin with and at least one of them is out of service most of the time. Despite plumbers easily available within 24 hours it takes weeks for issues to get resolved. The sinks havn’t worked properly ever. Signs everywhere ask people to wash their hands yet none of the sinks have proper water pressure or temperature for a person to properly do so. The advertised staffed hours are rarely accurate. This facility is extremely minimalistic. If you go to any other AF you’ll immediately see the difference. Which sucks when this facility is the closest one to you but you feel like your membership fees just go towards improving and maintaining other locations. It’s a gym with no culture or sense of community that’s been forgotten about and abandoned by Management.

Can't even go there without some douche bag slamming the weights and flexing like he's such a big shot. They also like to try to debit your bank on days not approved mutually and when they do try they tack on the late fees turning a 60$ membership into nearly 300 every month. For two people.

Expérience négative: Although it’s in their policy to be a leech, you will never expect them to charge as much as they do. Never sign up with anytime for a membersjip. GoodLife, fit4less, rec center, and movati is much better. Cancelled my membership and have never been happier

Expérience négative: I have been here about 6months now. Staff works only after 11am. Dirty washrooms most of the time. No clean clothes some times. They love to throw your stuff away. They put signs of, “if you leave your belongings we are not responsible if they get lost”, but they are the ones to take them away. They should have signs saying, “if you leave your shoes, we will take it and either donate them or throw them away”. Their rules: 1.”outdoor shoes not allowed” 2. No signs, no warning, no notification by email or phone calls to their members, but they will take your stuff and “either donate them or throw them away” 3. They had “cleaning day” without any email or phone call notice given to their members but they will tell you at the door, “sorry, it’s closed today”. 4. They have lockers but you can only use while you are in the gym. 5. You can’t cancel your membership for a whole year if you didn’t cancel within 10 days. 6. “Unfortunately, we dont return money for the key”, but that’s what they told you when you register. They charge extra $30 for their key fob and promise to return the deposit for key fob return during registration process. 7. They never pick up their phone.

Expérience positive: Overall a decent gym with a wide membership demographic. Excellent variety of equipment and everything is functional and repaired quickly if broken or deficient. Steady business throughout the day but not slammed at peak hours like some of the other locations. I have been to roughly 8 of the AF gyms in Edmonton so I have a good sense of this. Pros: generally clean, properly stocked towels (both for cleaning and sweat), friendly management that is making positive changes and listens to feedback. Members here are mostly considerate and inoffensive to others. Very safe, no tolerance for dirty shoes or tailgaters (people trying to sneak others into the gym). No tolerance for personal items left behind (shoes etc). Shoes must be worn. Very few grunters or weight-droppers or clients that make others feel uncomfortable. Cons: Frequent issues with members not re-racking weights or wiping equipment (this isn't the fault of the gym or management but it does affect the experience). Not enough washrooms or changerooms, there can be waiting times to get changed or shower. Not enough hooks or places to put things in the bathrooms while changing. It gets really hot in the cardio area when the sun is shining (south exposure) and no fans on the floor to cool yourself off. Available: towel service, personal training, EVOLT body scan (not free). Not available: tanning, massage, hydromassage, supplements, drinks, food, group classes (coming soon in 2024 I've been told).

Expérience fantastique: A very well maintained and clean Gym.Fully loaded will all the equipment one would need. Staff here is super awesome. They have made good standards and procedures to keep place well run for the members. Special shout out to @Madie from the front desk who made my gym enrolment process extremely smooth and guided me the process in detail.

It would only take for one of the owners to show up a little early for a couple of mornings slap a few pee peeps the problems should stop ,usually happens between 7 and 9 am

Expérience positive: Great little Gym, clean, not too busy relatively speaking. A little on the pricey side however, $60/month for a small Gym with no other amenities is on the high side, would like to see membership costs come down to $40/month. Culture is great, staff are both helpful and pleasant when they are on site. Been going here for about 3 years now.

But all they did was saying sorry u have been rude to there staff member which was not true and there owner emailed my friend saying even tho u come with a note u have to pay $343 just cuz they want to make money from a customer. Worst ABC out there. I saw the email myself. Recommend no one to buy there membership

Expérience fantastique: I love the ability the utilize all anytime fitness locations 24/7. The gym has everything I need, the staff is very friendly, the facilities are very clean, and I feel like I really get my money’s worth.

Expérience positive: A pretty decent sized gym compared to the other gyms near it, staff is kind and passionate workout equipment is spaced out and categorized, there were a few pieces of equipment I found weren’t labeled but a quick search and asking around solved it pretty quickly.

Expérience négative: The gym has a good amount of equipment but that does not make up for the fact that the washrooms are dirty, it smells and when you explain financial issues to them they continue to take money out of my account. They do not answer in a timely manner and blame the member for not having money. You can pause your account yet money will still be taken out. They only care about the money coming in rather than taking care of their members and creating a good mind space. The workers only care about the money.

Expérience fantastique: I don’t understand how the customer service gets such a bad rap on Yelp, I’ve been coming here for over two years and the workers are always kind and helpful. Any issues I’ve had with my membership were always resolved quickly. They are always readily available on instagram (I’ve forgotten my key fob a ton of times and ) and will continue to be kind and helpful. The location is great, I love the view looking out over Millwoods Park. There’s also this amazingly unique feature where they have rolling mirrors so you can watch your form basically anywhere. I’ve been to other Anytimes and not one has this and it’s a huge reasons why I love coming back.

Expérience positive: I like this gym, the weights are usually in order which you can say is a lot more than the 6292 Ellerslie location does However it does get really hot in the building on sunny days, as the entire workout area is just windows with curtains that don’t do much and they never really turn on the fan any lower so sometimes it gets unbearably hot while working out which is the only time I go to the Ellerslie location is when it’s really hot or sunny out. I feel like this problem could be resolved (if they can’t touch the thermostat) to maybe invest in some fans that people can use at their own will on cardio machines, otherwise you could easily collapse from heat exhaustion

Expérience négative: Beaware your even your shoes can be stolen and guess what they cannot even have access to camera recordings to see who has stolen the shoes. After pandemic I just started going to this location in the end of january. In the first week of February got sick and was unable to go to the gym. SOMEBODY stolen my workout shoes they were at the front where everyone's shoes are placed. When asked staff she said she can just see the recordings just for last four days. Why they installed the cameras then? Its ridiculous

I sign up on this location a year ago and they said after 1 year I don’t have to be in contract and I can sign up in the gym on a monthly base but now they cancel my membership and said they it’s transfer to ST. Albert as my home address change and when I call at. Albert location they said sorry but I have to start a contract again or either millwoods location can active my account again. Then when I call back on millwoods location and she start saying that sorry I can’t help you you have to continue calling the St. Albert location. And I said that I already call them many times but they said same thing so you guys have to help me with something and then she cut the call said she can’t accept how I’m talking with her and she was a manager there. I just said that I had paid you lot of money in a year and now you guys have to help me. And she said I’m gonna ban you and cut my call. Like serial that kind of manager you hired who even didn’t listen what I’m saying.

Expérience négative: Location has serious issues going haywire over signs. They have like 40 lockers, and using one lock for my gym shoes and water bottle is too inconvenient for the owner. As soon as a closer branch opens or i move, I'm outta here, disappointing.

I was given a commitment to pay only $50 for cancellation but when i went to cancel they are asking me to pay $425 +$50 and saying it was our staff mistake. When i signed the policy no such $5 freezing payment was discussed and now they are saying the gym policies have changed. So please don't ever try to get into the trap of such stupid gyms.

Expérience fantastique: This Anytime Fitness is amazing! I started the gym at the beginning of the year and I was so worried about going, and not knowing where to start or how to use the equipment. Tones is fantastic!! She showed me around and showed me how to use specific machines that would work great for the body I was wanting to grow! She is easy to talk to, she’s easy going, so kind and so caring! I feel like I can come and talk to her about anything with zero judgment! She truly is fantastic and I’m happy with the services I pay for, Anytime Fitness Family for life! I’ll never stop going to this location. :)

Expérience fantastique: Easily the best Anytime Fitness location I've been to. It is less busy than most, the weights are actually in their proper spots, it's as clean as it can be. I don't have to wonder if there will be clean rags or spray bottles at the front instead of left everywhere throughout the gym. The staff here are always walking around cleaning the gym up and are extremely friendly. I never see them sitting down doing nothing or hiding like I see at other locations. Tones is the staff member I interact with the most and puts in more effort than anyone else I've met at any location. Highly recommend this place and rank it the best out of any Anytime Fitness and will often drive past other ones to come here.

Management actually listens to client comments and is constantly trying to improve the gym through equipment organization and improvements. Bathrooms do require a servicing at times but besides that the gym is welcoming and comfortable to lift in. It has something for everybody.

I am very pleased with the amount of effort and care Xenia has put in the facility pre and post Covid. When she works you'll know the upkeep is beyond satisfactory. Tones is great help and can answer any question you have! Overall a great gym and atmosphere because of them.

Expérience fantastique: This is probably the best gym I have ever been to. Not just the equipments, cleanliness & all those things but this gym is top notch for its customer service. Just recently I had an unfortunate situation with my credit report and I called up the gym regarding this. The manager was extremely respectful & listened to my situation calmly. He helped me throughout the process & spent a lot of time dealing with the debt collection compnay for me without any incentive at all. See, every gym would be good to you if you pay on time & till nothing goes wrong. But there are very few clubs who will stand by you & listen to you when things don't go as plan. So that's the reason am giving them five stars. Cheers.
