Expérience négative: DON’T TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION: They charged my card (even though I am no longer a member or have even stepped foot into the gym in years) because someone’s name was “Similar” to mine, best part? No refund. Where are the checks and balances? Where is even checking “is this a right person” I have Been waiting 2 days for a call back. I have filed a police report because this is sketchy. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR INFO!!

Expérience positive: Compared to other locations this one could use some work. One of the things that I have noticed is that there bathrooms need some serious attention. Black flies throughout the shower stalls is gross and the vents need a serious cleaning as well. Additionally the black mold on the shower curtains is a bit much. Finally, several machines have been out of service for sometime now (elliptical and now a stationary bike), when you consider the size of the gym, two machines being down is quite a lot. Overall the gym is very chill, and quiet, when I go (5-6 am) there is hardly anyone there, and those that are there, for the most part are very friendly. The equipment is newer and overall well-maintained, however this will be a test of time I feel, as it breaks down will it be repaired right away??? Time will tell.

I been signed up for a few months and this place is not being taken care of and is dirty. Equipment is falling apart and broken and not being repaired. Constantly people are not cleaning equipment after use either. They really should enforce deodorant..it stinks!!FIX YOUR EQUIPMENT. Calf machine is broken, hand grips torn on multiple machines and hook on lat machine doesn't latch!!

I've been trying for a month to cancel my membership, my two year term is over, and they've been giving me the runaround now that I've told them I would like to stop giving them free money for a membership I do not use. Worst experience I've ever had with a business, period. I do not just mean gyms. This is THE WORST BUSINESS I have ever dealt with. I had to change all of my banking information because they do not follow Canadian and Albertan laws in regards to preauthorized debits. For your own financial safety, stay as far away from this business as you can.

Expérience fantastique: I'm impressed with this place. Showers, lockers, towels, locked doors with your own key fob to keep the scum out. Love it. Nice equipment, nice place, the lady working there is pretty nice. Quick simple process to sign up and receive key fob. Buzzed and was greeted properly and given a tour. Excellent experience. Honestly, at about 50 bucks a month I'm blown away with the value.

Expérience fantastique: Just made the switch from the Anytime near Kingsway. That one has gone down hill since the new manager stepped in. The amount of weights not put away and how dirty everything is is unfortunate. Making the switch to Westmount was a breath of fresh air. Seems to be kept very clean and organized. Like that layout quite a bit more. Hope it stays the way it is.

Expérience négative: I just got kicked out of that gym today knowing that other girl that is the manager?! Asking me all these stupid questions when I had a drop in like three times makes no sense. What a rude manager she is. Asked other fitness and they said it's a drop depends on how much you pay, which I did!!! But looks like she lives under a rock or something!! Worst manager ever.

Expérience fantastique: This place is not quite as good as the Roper Road location, but it’s still pretty awesome! Towels, cardio, studio, trainers, showers, lockers, weights and machines. Clean and tidy.

Expérience négative: I was really disappointed when I got there to find the smyth machine tucked away amongst A maze of other equipment so it was impossible to put a bench there and safely do bench press without a spotter . Not to mention they only have 1 portable bench ! I don’t even know how that can be written in a review about a gym 1 portable bench but not really even portable it’s one of the really big ones I could hardly lift and I’m 190lbs lol. Wow ! I could of Stayed and done dumb bells but I went to another location instead . Going there was time lost .won’t to that again . Other then that Nice gym ,tons of machines ,very clean, nice clientele, lots of parking . Just not we’ll set up for free weights with easy to use benches .

Expérience négative: Got my membership in another city. My fob didnt work yesterday and an employee let me in and said it was likely because my membership is so new. It didn’t work again today so I rang the bell again but there was no employee there even though it’s posted right on the door that an employee should be there… Stood outside waiting and then sat in my car and waited another 20 minutes. Thanks for wasting my evening and my motivation.

Expérience positive: It's not a bad establishment as there's many times you can go workout during its slower times but during peak times can get a crowded for me in my opinion. But when it comes to trying to contact this establishment for any concerns it's hard, took me about a month for someone to finally help me out with my concern/troubles.

Expérience négative: Decent enough equipment. Kind of a weird lay out. Was told I had to sign up for a membership and that they do not do free trials. So I signed up, went on the website to book a spot to workout, then right there on the front page of the website is a "click here for free 7 day trial" button. Didn't appreciate that so I cancelled the membership, went back to my old gym.

Andrew is a kind, professional, helpful, hard working and most of all caring Manager. I hope Anytime Fitness Westmount recognizes how lucky they are to have an employee like him. I live in Ontario however I am here in Edmonton to care for my mom who has been diagonised with Cancer. He has been compassionate from the beginning and helpful of what membership would work for me as I am unaware how long I will be in Edmonton. Andrew makes sure that the Gym is Clean AT ALL TIMES and he still manages to sign up new memberships like mine and is always friendly!!! He does it all!!! Grateful to Andrew and Anytime Fitness for making me feel welcomed and at peace while I workout. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Andrew for your kindness always!! Expérience négative: Went for a tour of the gym today fully understanding that they’re not signing on new members because they’re closed at the moment except for personal training. I wanted a tour to see if this gym was what I was looking for to sign up when the gym opened however the moment I walked in the person helping me started trying to sign me up for a personal training plan which I stated I was not interested then continued to try and sell it to me. Then he was hesitant to give me the tour I wanted stating that it’s “just like any other gym”. Finally I was able to look at the gym but this employee did not even walk me through the equipment they have available nor the benefits their gym could offer me over my current. He also did not discuss a regular membership with me which I stated I was interested in when reopening happens as I have to give my current gym 1 months notice anyways. Overall the employee made it seem like I was wasting his time even though he knew exactly what I was coming in for. Disappointed and will definitely not be signing up with this location, maybe another Anytime but not this one.

Expérience fantastique: Great place to go to whether your a newbie or someone looking to have a great workout without the hassle and feel of some of the more commercial gyms. Staff and Ownership are very hard working and ask members what they would like to have at the gym, as well as being prepared and communicative about the way the gym should be cleaned post shutdown. Thank you to the ownership and staff for a safe place to better my physical training and maybe share a smile with one of the regulars. Anytime fitness westmount, you are the best!!!

Expérience négative: I really enjoyed this gym up until they took $250 off my credit card without any notice. My boyfriend (who is also a paying member) and I frequent this gym and we hold the door open for each other and i got nailed with a tailgating fee right before Christmas. I have tried on numerous occasions to get a hold of someone but all voicemails and texts have been ignored. I managed to talk to Al (who claimed to be an employee) in the gym and he said that my card would be refunded or that the $250 would be credited to my account.This has not happened. I have now learned that Al is the owner and for some reason he chose not to disclose this information to me. If you don't want to deal with your clients maybe you should hire someone to do so on your behalf. I have also contacted corporate and have not got any responses. This entire experience is incredibly sad and disappointing and I feel completely taken advantage of.

Expérience positive: So far so good! It's nice to see that there's multiple spray bottles and cloths to wipe down machines between uses, as well as spaced out equipment. Only thing I don't like is that you're locked to the location you sign up at for the first 30 days. This location is the smallest in YEG so you have to plan your workout times strategically.

Expérience négative: No longer "women lead" as stated, and it is too bad, because the woman who signed my friend and I up was fantastic. The new manager likes to gather with cleaners outside the front door smoking, and has been seen parked in the handicap spot out front as well. Still a good gym, and overall clean; however, don't expect any replies if you do offer feedback.

Expérience fantastique: *Update* I was promptly contacted by the owner and the issue was resolved. Thankful for the quick resolution. Cancellation is extremely difficult when you try to get out of your membership. I have been any Anytime member for 5+ years. Since moving away from the Edmonton area over 4 months ago, I have requested to cancel my membership 3 times by email, including 1 time in person over the last month. Because this club has such limited staffed hours, as well as unresponsiveness to email, changing your membership status is extremely difficult. I would seriously consider purchasing a membership at this location given the challenges of closing your account or connecting with management to make a change.

Expérience fantastique: Some of the nicest most positive and motivated people in Edmonton work out here in this seldom crowded location. I like that they have heavy bag and plenty of free weights for the size. As with all the ATF clubs in Edmontin, there is never a line up for cardio machines. I've never even had to wait for a bathroom or shower here unlike some busier locations even though it is about tied for smallest club square footage with Kingsway. Plenty of parking in the plaza and very accessible both from public transit and by car. To fuel the mind and body before and after workouts, try some one of restaurants at the Westmount Food Court a block South or the public library right behind it. If you've earned a treat, or need more calories, there is a Dairy Queen about 50 yards away. Personally, I don't recover in order to train; I train to enable stromg recovery. On 'brick days' ice cream or even one beer can be a fun part of this.

This Gym is quite Big, Clean and Well Stocked with Machines and Space to Stretch. It isn't to Busy when I have Been. Westmount Anytime Fitness is a Thumbs Up.
