Expérience négative: I've never felt the need to leave a public review on a business before, let alone a negative one, but after my experience with this company in trying to cancel my membership, I feel like I have no choice. It's a shame, because the gym itself is excellent. However, the way Trevor handles cancellations is disturbing and unethical. To cancel a month-to-month membership with Fitness Inc, you either have to transfer your account to someone new, or provide proof that you've moved to a different city. I provided the requested documentation, but after several rounds of email communication, the owner claimed never to have received my proof of moving, despite it being attached to our email thread. As a result, they continued charging me for over a year, and I've had to go as far as contacting my bank to ensure the payments stop. This entire process has been incredibly painful and exhausting. I enjoyed using this facility when I was able to, but after this experience, I could never recommend it to anyone or want to go back. Please, if you're considering joining this gym, don't just take my word for it—check other reviews to see that this issue is part of a troubling trend and pattern, not a one-off incident at all. Edit: just to clarify, their email clearly stated that a job offer was an example of sufficient proof, unlike what they are replying to my review now…

It's mostly staffed by teens, and when I called to ask about pricing, the female I spoke with was vague and didn’t offer any helpful details unless I asked specifically—like the fact that it was the last day for their $99-for-99-days promo. When I came in to sign up, another young staff member didn’t explain that she had already set up an account for me in the app or show me how to use it. I had to ask questions instead of her explaining the system. The whole interaction felt rushed, even though no one else was around - like she didn’t have time. Better training in communication and customer service would really improve the administrative aspect. The gym itself is great though!

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been coming here for just over a year now and wanted to share how much I love this gym! I’ve been to many gyms but this one stands out by far. The staff are outstanding; they call you by name and go above and beyond to provide a clean, welcoming and safe environment. The equipment is new and always working well, the gym and locker rooms are always clean as can be, and the environment is for everybody. I’ve been going through different stages of life, working, pregnant, post partum and have found a use for any exercise need. There are so many classes to chose from that are included in your membership if you ever want to try something new or have a group. Fitness Kids is also amazing; the girls go above and beyond to ensure your kiddos have a good time and are safe. I felt very assured leaving my baby girl there as a first time mom, she loves it too!

Expérience fantastique: The staff have been very friendly since I joined this gym. All the people who go here are friendly. It's a very clean and inviting atmosphere. My only regret is that I didn't join this gym sooner!

Expérience négative: Pretty disappointed with the vibe of this gym over all and I didn’t even get to train there! The front desk was totally rude to me upon arrival about our shoes not being adequate since we didn’t bring actual “inside” gym shoes. I’m wearing running shoes btw that are brand new. I put them on in my hotel and got in the car and walked into the gym with them. They told us we we couldn’t wear those shoes and we would have to wear our socks because you can’t have any dirt from outside come in- which is not very safe especially when lifting heavy. I’ve dropped weights on my foot before with a shoe on and I almost lost my toe. Imagine that without a shoe on! No thanks.. I get that cranbrooks weather can be nasty and the policy might be to not wear outside shoes inside but the shoes both me and my friend were wearing were completely dry and not dirty or dripping what so ever. You could have made an exception for us “girls” who are not from here and have been friendlier and less condescending and be accommodating but I guess you don’t want good business. Also, did I mention I’m not from here? I came to cranbrook on a work trip and am an avid body builder back home. I also run a small business so I understand policies and customer service and also gym etiquette and culture. Given I didn’t want to support a big box gym I thought I’d find somewhere smaller and support local since the economy sucks and I wanted to train somewhere I feel I’d fit in. Also, read the room. It wasn’t pouring rain or snowing outside, the ground is completely dry. I get that a policy is a policy but use some common sense. I was willing to pay your 20 dollar drop in but your bad attitude changed my mind Instantly. I’ll take my business else where thanks.

Expérience négative: I decided to give fitness inc a try and started with a two week free trial with intentions of starting a membership on their next sale day. On what I believed to be the last day of my two weeks I went in, and was rather rudely informed that if I “counted on my fingers”, my last day was yesterday. I asked if there was someway I could still do my last workout, considering I had driven all the way there, and was condescendingly told no. After checking their instagram, I realized the person I was talking to was in fact the owner. I thought a local business would have been more understanding, kind, and helpful, obviously I was wrong. Happy to go elsewhere.

Expérience fantastique: Nov. 13 I broke my chain around my neck in the shower. On it were several items that have special meaning to me. A runner, a dog and an owl. Thankfully someone was kind enough to have found and turned in the runner and dog. My owl which I have worn for over 45 years is still missing. First off thank you very much to the person who found the two items. And if anyone finds the owl I will gladly reward you. Greatfully Bill Dove

Expérience fantastique: Moved to Cranbrook last month and had been researching gyms in town and I chose fitness inc. They have lots of new equipment with all the free weights you'd ever need. Big cardio area upstairs that looks directly at the Rocky mountains, which is tough to beat. I'll definitely be signing up for a long term membership in the future and would highly recommend anyone looking for a good gym in Cranbrook that has flexible hours, lots of weights/machines/cardio equipment.

Expérience négative: Don’t do it! I canceled my pass after having a brand new baby & Covid started, the staff I spoke to was supposed to send me a form I needed to sign but it was never received. I still got charged throughout all of Covid after calling to cancel multiple times. A year goes on and I’m still paying for this pass, eventually my payments stopped going through. The owner goes and approaches my ex and tells him I have this massive bill that’s needing to be paid or he’s sending it to collections. Completely breaching confidentiality by telling my ex this but no fricks were given by the owner. I sent emails and all trying to get this figured out but the dude still sends it to collections. I am now finding out he’s done this multiple times and goes as low as sending $25 to collections. I’ve recommended so many people to this place & also got my community to buy passes for our youth here, but after this stunt I won’t be recommending anyone.

Expérience fantastique: I absolutely love this place! I love it so much that my maps are starting to get confused about where my home actually is :) Memberships are nicely affordable! The gym is clean, classes are awesome, change rooms are great…. But most of all the staff here is what makes it my favorite! Welcoming, kind, energetic!! Class instructors and coaches give you great information to help you achieve your goals! It can get busy but the community here is unbeatable!!!!

Expérience positive: Nice set up, lots of weights and machines, with cardio upstairs. Only thing I didn't like was that the only bathrooms were downstairs, and there's nowhere to fill your water bottle, except in 1 of 2 sinks in the bathroom.

Expérience négative: This gym is managed by unethical team. I have enrolled March 2020 for 1 year. Around December 2020 I moved away. Before moving I informed them that I will not use the membership again as Iam not in town. They kept charging me after March 2021 for over a year. Called them 5 times to cancel but it never happened and they kept charging me. Now it's April 2022 and they still charge me. After I put a stop payment from my bank on them. They called to threat me that they will send it to collections for the March 2022 amount 36$. The gym owes me 36$ @ 13 months that's 468 dollars without my consent and with me informing them that it should be cancelled. Be careful before giving your information to this gym.

One of the best views I’ve seen while doing cardio. Trevor and his staff are all polite, friendly and happy to help in anyway they can. Highly recommend this gym!

Expérience fantastique: Best gym in town, they have a steam room in the change room, it's clean, the owner is great, and the members are friendly. It's exactly what you need. If I had a gripe, it would be that there's no chalk allowed in the gym, but that's the only thing I can think of. There's enough plates and racks, they have a nice open room for stretching and warm up, they have a ladies only Fitness area, all the cardio equipment is in great condition, and they even have a dedicated spin room for bike training.

They have plenty of equipment for any style of workout you are looking to do, as well as hot showers and steam rooms to relax in after a good workout. The owner Trevor is a great guy and genuinely cares about the people coming to his gym. He also makes killer protein shakes

There is a large variety of equipment and functional training tools to help you reach any of your fitness goals. Not to mention all of the amenities and equipment are kept in great condition. Membership is very reasonably priced and management is very hands on in running the facility. To put it plainly this is the best gym in Cranbrook.

However the ventilation in the gym is extremely bad, there is zero air current and you can taste the person across the gym from you because of the mositure levels. They also play their music very loud, I wear Bose noise cancelling headphones and I can still barely hear my music. Most likely will be switching to a different gym, I wouldn't recommend having a membership here

Most people that have memberships at this gym don’t give off a good welcoming feeling at this gym, I feel as though the environment isn’t for people who want a welcoming place to go without judgement. They have a nice stream room and all their equipment is new and clean. Great view from the top floor as well.

We were so impressed, not only but employee who took his time and showed us around, but by the cleanliness, the amount of equipment and classes. Safe to say we found our new gym!

Expérience négative: As far as the gym itself its a very positive clean and amazing place to workout but due to unfortunate circumstances i was no longer able to continue using the gym and had to cancel my membership. Talk about having to jump threw hoops it was the longest most painful process to cancel and the money they suck out of you for it is unbelievable.

Expérience négative: Moved away was told my membership had been canceled to find charges still coming out a couple months after, they told me it was because I didn't sign a form that was never given to me when I told them I wanted to cancel.

Expérience négative: Drop ins are $15, membership $40 for a subpar gym. The actual gym is so crowded with equipment that you can barely move, if you want to do any free weights good luck. It's so crowded that they use a chunk of hall on the way to the change rooms, a very high traffic area. The showers are low budget tile ones like what you'd find on a public beach and run cold for at least 5 minutes, if they even have enough volume for you to get wet.
