Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre: Avis
Expérience positive: The heaters in arena 2 were miserably cold on a miserably cold day. Just could not warm up. Otherwise seems like a nice facility.
Expérience fantastique: Love this place
Expérience positive: I wish the front staff were as friendly as they are at the first door of SLS. This place is always packed with people, especially summer, as it's the only recreational place that gives a variety of family/kids' activities in one place. The parking could be challenging sometimes when it's hockey season. I wish there were more space for parking. When it comes to public skating, I wish they would clean/clear the floor after hockey games. Even though the public skating is scheduled only for 1-1.5 hours, clearing the floor would help young ice-skaters safely.
Expérience négative: This scary old man kept following me around
Expérience négative: It’s unfortunate that this facility consistently reeks of french fries. For a sports centre that promotes healthy living and provides a gym and other wellness activities, the smoky smell of fried food in the main hallways is disappointing and off-putting. It really takes away from the atmosphere you’d expect in a place dedicated to fitness and health
Expérience fantastique: Way better than the pools in Calgary.
Expérience fantastique: Great place! The staff is great. Can't say anything bad about this place. We come at least 3 times a week. :)
Expérience positive: My family and I were about to purchase a year pass for this facility when we were suddenly met with unprofessional staff members that were rudely raising their voice at my children and directing them in different ways than other staff were just previously directing them. It went from being a fun family orientated environment to a jail facility within 2 minutes. This unprofessional staff member then sent other staff members over to "direct" me. I was told that I wasn't following the rules. When another mother stepped in to say that no rules have been broken and she felt this situation was ridiculous. I was told to get out of the pool and speak to the supervisor. I then went to wait for a supervisor and was told there wasn't one available. I said that I would like to speak to someone about what's going on. A young woman came to talk to me and apologized for the complete unprofessionalism of her staff and asked if there was anything she could do to have us stay and enjoy the pool. She said we were welcome back into any of the pools and that no rules were broken and the activity was unnecessary. I told her at this point I was a little shooken up and wanted to leave. She told me I would be refunded at the front desk for my short time at the pool and told me to please leave a formal review so changes can be made. I then went to the front desk and asked for a refund. The girl was searching for my card number for 10 minutes. She then went into the back and came back with 3 staff members in total and said I was not to be issued a refund as promised and I had to contact "Taylor" the pool manager. She told me he just said this in person "3 minutes ago" and had just left for the day. This is not what the supervisor said. This experience was nothing like anything I have seen and we have been to over 20 aquatic centers throughout Canada and America. I do not recommend this place after such an unprofessional experience. I thought the supervisor handled things very well and I would not have even left a review until the front desk told me I was not recieving a refund because of Taylor's new instructions. As a mother of 3 young boys, this was not an okay experience. Do better. Update: I am going to move this from 1 star to a 3 star as my concerns were very professionally addressed. Accountability was taken and a resolution was made. Our family will be giving this establishment another go in the future and I may change my review even further. Thank you Taylor for addressing this as you did. I said "do better" and he most certainly did.
Expérience fantastique: I was a frustrated and overwhelmed mom this morning, looking for a specific birthday party room while juggling bags and kids. The front desk staff was so helpful with directions (that I didn’t follow) and then even walked me to the correct space after I went back in a huff. Thank you to the staff for alleviating my frustrations this morning. They went above and beyond and I appreciate it so much.
Expérience fantastique: Nice updated amenities for hockey, figure skating and curling ♡
Expérience fantastique: Great place. I especially like the ping pong table and other diversions. Great forbkeeping the younger siblings busybwhilebthebolder kids are at activities.
Expérience fantastique: It’s huge! There’s so many activities to do inside and it’s not a bad deal price wise. The parking lot is big and it’s such a fun place to explore. The pool area isn’t too big but I love going lane swimming!
Expérience fantastique: The family loves coming to the pool
Expérience fantastique: WONDERFUL FAMILY FITNESS CENTRE; excellent aquatic options, good gym, lots of indoor fitness options, good pricing, good locker rooms! Will be back!
Expérience négative: The swimming pool and the large walking/running track are excellent—I really enjoy them! However, the weight machines in the Mezz Zone need improvement. There is a lack of machines for specific muscle groups. Crucially, most of the treadmills are empty most of the time. I strongly suggest replacing these unused treadmills with a wider variety of high-demand weight training machines to maximize space efficiency. Please check the Mezz Zone soon!
Expérience fantastique: Great spot for the family. I think it was $33 for us 4. Bouncy castle, swimming, and some vball. You could spend all day here. Too bad the water slide wasn’t working when we went.
Expérience négative: 3 robberies in ONE day and to with hold this information from the guests who are coming in to use your facilities? Absolutely unacceptable from your company. My brother came in to have a swim day with his family, only to get robbed because of the lack of care from this facility. Did it not occur that maybe you should enforce more security due to the fact that you had THREE robberies in ONE day. Do Not visit this facility, they allow robberies to happen and have 0 security to protect their guest belongings from getting stolen.
Expérience fantastique: Best rec center in Alberta
Expérience fantastique: Great times watching the Generals. You should check their schedule on HJHL app and vome watch some good and cheap entertainment!
Expérience fantastique: I'll have to pad word count here; the facility easily rivals "big city" facilities. Location - central-ish. Quick access to Calgary Co-op Groceries/Liquor/gas and outdoor pickleball courts and a kids playground Access - excellent bus, car, bike or walking Parking - excellent Pricing - good, passes are reasonable considering the array or activities available Facilities - excellent. Pool, waterslide, hockey/curling rinks, good gym, sports therapists, a restaurant (and good too), Jugo Juice and more.
Expérience fantastique: Awesome facility
Expérience fantastique: We enjoy coming here often
Expérience négative: If you want your stuff getting stolen then come down to SLS. Went to the SLS Centre yesterday and had my locker broken into less than an hour after arriving. I was in the family change room with all our belongings inside — my wallet was stolen. When I told Guest Services, they said it had already happened three times that same day. If that’s the case, why wouldn’t you warn people or post a notice saying not to use personal locks? That could’ve easily prevented this from happening again. Absolutely unacceptable and shows zero care for customer safety. This was my first and last time coming to SLS, and I won’t be recommending it to anyone. (0 star review btw)
Expérience négative: Unfortunately it is not an inclusive pool! Lots of judgments and no.accommodation for special needs. The staff dont have enough experience and they are unfriendly.
Expérience négative: It’s unfortunate that this facility consistently smells like french fries. For a sports centre that promotes healthy living and provides a gym and other wellness activities, the smoky smell of fried food in the main hallways is disappointing and off-putting. It really takes away from the atmosphere you’d expect in a place dedicated to fitness and health
Expérience fantastique: Great place.thank you
Expérience positive: Went for weekend hockey tournament. Beautiful facility for City of Cochrane. Arena seating less than adequate. Some lights on scoreboard were burned out making it difficult to see scores, time, etc
Expérience fantastique: Always great experience. We love to drop in for sticks and pucks. Great $$ value and never disappointed. Also great birthday party venue with a full ice for an hour and party room. Nothing can beat the price.
Expérience positive: Good local facility, many activities to do. Swimming pool is good, seems to regularly have maintenance issues. Prices are ok, middle of the road. Would be nice if they had designed the curling club to have a better viewing area. Bouncy castles, gymnastics area, indoor soccer field, hockey rinks all good. Farmers market there is fantastic and the facilities sometimes allow for indoor protection in case of inclement weather. Workout space nice, and lots of rooms upstairs for activities/meetings.
Expérience fantastique: The pool is great for kids with a wave pool, two water slides, a lazy river, hot tub, length pool and a warm therapy pool.
Expérience négative: Very upsetting experience. Paid 35.00 for a family drop in at the pool and came in from Calgary for something different and special for our son as it was his 2nd birthday and he loves waterslides. We were informed that he is not allowed to lapsit with a parent and is too short to ride the waterslide by himself. Heartbroken we ended up having to leave because he was so sad that he couldn’t use the slides. He lap sits with us and any other pool/leisure centre we have ever been to.
Expérience fantastique: Brought our baby here and super impressed with the staff and facility! The water is wonderfully warm and there’s lots of shallow areas for babies. All the lifeguards were very kind to us, so kudos to them! I appreciated how professional these young employees were. A great area for kids, we will definitely be back!
Expérience fantastique: It is amazing facility here
Expérience fantastique: First time today!! I did not he aquafit. It was awesome, clean, clean oh and did I say clean facility. Friendly staff, love Diane, nice and bright, lots of parking. I loved it. Bought a monthly pass right away and super excited to get moving!!
Expérience négative: They don't have towels for showers and don't serve breakfast after 10 am and the service here isn't the greatest. So one star is good enough
Expérience fantastique: Awesome and lovely place to be. Highly recommended
Expérience fantastique: Love it!
Expérience fantastique: really good place for physical activities
Expérience négative: As most I find the pricing overpriced, but my biggest concern and one that I have seen and heard others complain about is the complete lack of basic manners the lifeguards have when talking to children/ adults and seniors. Their policy of care and attention seems to be focused on the lifeguards goose stepping around the pool areas shouting at adults and children like they are dogs for any slight infraction. When I tried to explain to a lifeguard that there are ways to speak to people with authority and courtesy, she just claimed she has all the responsibilities of all the lives in the pool followed by a teenage eye roll and walked way. Which brings me to another point, why are there only teenagers running the pool? It's seems the "responsibilities of all the lives in the pool" is too much for them!
Expérience fantastique: Great year round facility, fun for everyone in the local community
Expérience fantastique: Great
Expérience positive: Mostly a great place, there really needs to be some work done for improvement in the pool area & parking lots specifically. The execution of the parking lot was not though through very well when it comes to events who need loading & unloading of goods as well as for winter. Considering that majority of drivers have large SUVs & pick up trucks the parking lot was absolutely not designed with any thought to these matters. On event days SLSC should have a designated parking lot area blocked off specific to the merchants to loading & unloading their merchandise in & out of their vehicles. Expect to see vehicles double parked or parked out of lines or lterally blocking the area meant for driving. In winter especially, once you get into a spot you may not be able to exit your vehicle.... The pool was a place my family & I loved to go at first... Until we all got chlorine rash. I tried to contact the head of office for this (Rachel) but she only ever left me a message once and never returned any of my calls after. I was badly burned & took over a month to fully heal. I also learned & heard from others who go to other events here; this has happened to them and they stopped using the pool also. It is a nice pool, and waterslides. But they are not concerned that many individuals have had chemical burn? This is suspicious. Witnessed a staff member have chlorine burn on her neck talking about it to her coworker. The water also tastes super salty which is also odd... No I didn't drink it but we all get water in our mouth when in the pool sometimes playing games.. so thats how l tasted it. It's not a salt water pool. The membership cost is very expensive, and drop ins can be expensive for some programs; example; a child vs an teenager or adult drop in for pucks & rings should not be $8 jump to $18. I don't see the areas of argument that support justification of that price jump. Showers are often dirty & the hockey change rooms are always repulsive . Majority of the staff are nice. It does have farmer market events sometimes which is nice. It's a decent area to use most times depending on your interest, you have to decide if it's worth the prices if one only wants to use one or two activities:
Expérience fantastique: Clean. Comfortable water. Proper lifeguard posting
Expérience positive: Really nice, huge recreation facility in Cochrane with multiple arenas, gyms, pool etc
Expérience fantastique: Great pool, nice staff, semi hot tub Therapeutic pool with the endless current is amazing!
Expérience fantastique: What an amazing space. Fully wheelchair accessible. Quite a few accessible parks. Pools and hot tubs are accessible. Fitness rooms are accessible. Curling is accessible. Staff are super friendly and helpful. To notch for accessibility.
Expérience fantastique: This gym was so good. I would give an arm and a leg literally, but the equipment was so bad and rusty when I fell over, I snapped my arm on it and got it's tetanus. please 5 stars. This place is amazing.
Expérience négative: One star, because SLS has effectively cancelled turf time for the little kids so all of the needy, over-entitled pickle ball players. Last week they kicked mom's and toddlers off of the turf space that was allocated for them, because we were told "the pickle ball people done have enough space" Now there now NO turf time today. Ridiculous! This is why I cancelled our membership and will not be giving any more money to this facility.
Expérience fantastique: Excellent! So much happening here!
Expérience fantastique: What an incredible facility for swimming, spinning and running/walking. It was the venue for the Wild Rose Indoor Triathlon. Between the facility (including JugOJuice), the generous sponsors, the fantastic volunteers and the smiling enthusiastic participants I can only say the event was a resounding success.
Expérience fantastique: Impeccably clean! Great ice staff
Expérience fantastique: Playing Pickleball at the centre is fantastic!
Expérience fantastique: Always impressed by the facilities and staff at SLS
Expérience négative: Ridiculously overpriced compared to other towns and cities comparable to Cochrane! Double in some cases! Lots of people complaining on their pricing, and they refuse to answer why! After NUMEROUS attempts to contact city of Cochrane AND spray lakes management NO ONE emails me back!! Horrible!!
Expérience fantastique: The pool is so warm- super great experinace for my seven year old
Expérience positive: Endroit parfait il manque un terrain de foot plus ouvert pour les enfants 9 10ans toujours pris par volley ou autre merci
Expérience fantastique: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING NEW YEAR Thank you, Spray Lakes sport center and Cochrane Ab supportive people who made this 31st of December evening SPECTACULAR AND FUN for all citizens and guests We are coming to this evening event for a few years, always better and more fun! THANK YOU!!! DANCER GIRL -SAPFIRE - GORGEOUS , TALLENTED, FUN - keep it up, girl! We love your shows, energy, and enthusiasm! Cannot wait to the next New Year Celebration!!!
Expérience positive: Brand new facility but the spectators veiwing area is really inadequate!! You would think they would have better and more seating for the spectators! Other then that it is a fabulous facility!
Expérience fantastique: Awesome facility for families.
Expérience fantastique: First class facility, great staff always courteous and helpful. Big fan.
Expérience fantastique: Excellent facility, clean and wonderful staff!
Expérience fantastique: Playschool is the best the staff is so wonderful with the kids
Expérience négative: Lets be honest. The pricing for SLS center is way to high for what you pay for compared to the YMCA or University gym. There is no towel service for swimming and lane swimming schedule is not ideal. Also, there is no swimsuit spinner for bathing suits. They layout for the gym equipment is complete joke and afterthought for cardio machines in the hallway for random people to watch you sweat as they walk by. So, I have issue with lane swimming. There are not enough open lanes for 6am, most of the time there are only 2. That not enough open to the public who have to work at 9am. More lanes open at 7:30am. My issue is my fiancee likes to swim and I prefer to go the gym for 6am. We both can't go at same time because more lanes open at 7:30am for him. He has said just 2 lanes open get a little crowded. So we are taking 2 cars to go and it just really sucks that we can't go at same time. This is main reason why we picked the sls centre so we can go together, maybe get a coffee together or quick groceries afterwards. So its really disheartening that we can't go as a couple as often as we want. Also, the showers don't have bench for your convenience. I camp a lot....all campground showers have benches. This is also first gym ive ever been to in years that dont have an elliptical machine as part of cardio hallway set up. You could at least set up tvs across hallway. I heard the prices are going up so maybe an elliptical machine will be a purchase in near future And I wish the bathrooms had music playing. So, I will give positives. The sls centre is very clean. The staff to do say good morning to you. Don't get me wrong. I do like coming to SlS for sure, its just poorly managed and setup for the gym is disappointing to me. Going together as a couple to the exercise is a great support system for eachother. Im just going alone and its not same without fiancee. I hope in the New Year they can reconsider the open lane swimming to the public. No false claims, im just saying its not a far spreed for what you pay for. Yet, you are raising price in January. Are there any upgrades to look forward to? So, im not wrong. Im not confused, just disappointed with the lack of services provided and layout. A lot of people are moving to Cochrane from Calgary. So that is something to consider. It just seems like whoever was apart of the design plan has never walked through a university or YMCA facility. The expectations of this newer center is a complete fail to future members who have had YMCA and University gym memberships. That where happy paying the membership price of 75.00 for towel service and decent cardio rooms. Its stupid that track has to change direction ever 30 min.
Hi Allison, We're sorry your experience at our facility wasn't the best. We'd like to take the time to address some of your concerns (and false claims) below. We're not sure where you got your numbers, but our pricing is less than the YMCA of Calgary for both membership and drop-in rates. A quick glance at the YMCA of Calgary's website lists their membership pricing as $85.40 a month, plus a $75 fee to join. Our membership in contrast begins at $65 a month, with a minimum three month commitment. Our drop-in is also cheaper at $16.50 vs $19.15 for the YMCA. We're sorry we don't offer towel service or swimsuit dryer. We'll note it to our teams as considerations for the future. We also offer cardio machines in our Mezz Zone, which is in our fitness centre space. The cardio equipment in the hallway was added based on customer requests for more machines and extra space. The track changes direction every 30 minutes so that our long distance runners who use the facility don't overtrain one part of their body by constantly turning one direction. We have no clue what you mean about this being a "new centre"? This facility has been around since 2004, and has been expanded four times by four different builders. We do our best to ensure we have the most community focused centre using the layout we have. We hope this helps to alleviate some of your confusion. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
Expérience négative: I find the pricing at this facility completely unreasonable—it's price gouging. For just an hour of puck and stick or public skate at 6 AM, they charge the full drop-in price of $8 for a child and $16.50 for an adult. Are they serious? In Calgary, it's only $2.50 for a child and $6 for an adult. I'm not looking to stay the whole day—I simply don't have the time. But I do have time in the morning to shoot some pucks for one hour, but the price is totally outrageous. I wonder if the founders who contributed to building this facility had price gouging in mind. Shame on you SLS.
Expérience positive: It's a sports complex, but all the foods and drinks you can buy are all junk food. Odd.
Expérience positive: Good facility for hockey tournaments. 3 rinks
Expérience négative: $19 for a drop in with an infant at the pool for 30 minutes what a ridiculous poorly run complex. Guess we can drive to south land for 45 min each way to pay $9. Just another Cochrane cash gouge.
Expérience fantastique: A great family sports facility from PingPong to pools and rinks and everything in between. Good experience just to tour and see what's available.
Expérience positive: First time here today and paid the senior rate of $11 (which I feel is steep). I was impressed with the overall layout of this aquatic centre and all it has to offer. It’s a beautiful facility except for the slimy dirty floors in the shower area. I was absolutely grossed out at the grey sludge oozing through my toes. Other than this glaringly disgusting area in the ladies change room, the pool and pool area is pristine and beautifully kept.
Expérience positive: Nice facility but insane prices. Ice rinks are too busy for drop in because the limit is over 30. Can’t even skate around without almost taking a kid out. Decent Back up option incase the main spot where I go is closed but improvements can be made. Staff are very nice too so that’s a positive
Expérience négative: For the price they charge its poorly kept. Change rooms are nasty. And there always seems to be something out of order.
Expérience négative: Prices are way out of line. Needing to purchase a full facility pass for a swim is next to criminal. Claiming full facility use is also bogus as team events will take priority on space usage. Current adult rate shows $16.50 Facilitators of this facility should be embarrassed for these costs
Expérience négative: Gaaaaaaaah dang, I had to pay a full day rate to take my kids swimming for 35 minutes. Then got kicked out of the pool for lessons. Not impressed.
Expérience fantastique: I can not say enough praise for this place! My youngest went to swim lessons. I was BLOWN AWAY by how much stuff there is to do at this place plus there is two look out spots in the pool area. There is also a Hugo juice, I believe, near the front doors so if you need a quick bite or a pre workout smoothie they got you covered!
Expérience négative: Poorly run, especially with such steep prices. Lessons on everyday from 5pm until almost close, so there is no time for adults to swim after their workday. The Splash park has been closed since last summer and now they are saying mid August before it opens again, just in time to close again for the season. The hot tub was also out of order for a few months too. Seems like they just can’t get it together.
Expérience fantastique: Excellent place. 3 ice rinks, great swimming place and many more
Expérience fantastique: Beautiful place, affordable super clean washrooms and change rooms. Chlorinated water pool and slide.
Thanks for the kind review Sebastian! One note, our pool is actually chlorinated
Expérience positive: Very spacious facility with many activities. Although the pool is busy at times, I enjoyed my time there
Expérience positive: I've seen much better recreation centres They have a lot to learn from the good ones. Low ceilings. Overwhelming feel inside .. It's not very good at all really
Hi Sarah, We're always looking to improve our service, so we'd love to hear what we changes you would like to see made. If you'd like to talk about your experience, please reach out to [email protected] you for taking the time to leave a review.
Expérience fantastique: I’ve been here twice and I think that it’s been so far a nice experience with my family. It’s affordable and there were seven of us and paid for a day pass, it was only for $39, around there. The swimming pool is nice and hope to explore more of the building soon!
Thank you for the kind words Kris, we're glad you had a good time playing in our facility!
Expérience négative: Consistently disappointed. I've never been anywhere with ridiculous rules like at this particular pool. Shockingly disgusting showers. Rust, mold, residue. Wanted a nice shower and now I feel like I need to go have another shower. I'll be going elsewhere. There are cheaper, cleaner, funner facilities I'll be driving to from now on.
Expérience fantastique: Great facility made for competitive & recreation swimmers
Thanks for the kind review Orlin!Glad you enjoyed the facility.
Expérience positive: I came with a 3 year old and paid $17. For the two of us. Knowing we would be less than an hour, I felt was to much money. I am not complaining. I promised my 3 year old to go swimming. I had no choice. I wish you had an hourly rate for small kids. They have that at the leisure pools Just a suggestion. I won't be coming back until the rate changes.
Expérience positive: Beautiful sports complex. Went to watch a hockey game. Clean washrooms. Very well kept building.
Expérience négative: I was there at roughly 11am on Thursday, sore back just wanted to soak in the hot tub, there were 3-4 adults(40+). When then decided to bring in 30+ kids into the tub, they were loud. We all left(the adults). I got to enjoy maybe 30mins of hot tub before I left.
Expérience positive: I have enjoyed the variety of exercise options and the general atmosphere at the SLS Centre in Cochrane. I have recently been reminded, however, of the importance of making sure one completely understands the fine print when signing up for memberships. I wanted to sign up for a "Senior Monthly Pre-Auth" SLS membership for $47. Then I came across additional information online that caused me to understand that I had to commit to a minimum of a three-month membership, which seemed to be confirmed when signing up in person for membership at the SLS Centre, so I thought I could manage that. What I didn't realize at the time was that what I was signing up for was ongoing, auto-debited monthly membership that would require taking the step of submitting an official cancellation of membership to get out of continuing to be charged every month going forward. Apparently, if I had chosen the Senior 30 Day Pass for $62, that would have allowed me to try out SLS for just one month before committing to, say, an annual membership of $535. So I strongly encourage anyone checking out SLS membership to make sure you correctly understand all the fine print details before committing and before providing auto-debit authorization.
Hi Bill,We'd love to hear more about your membership situation, and do our best to clear up any confusion. Please reach out to [email protected] if you'd like to discuss. We appreciate you coming to our facility!
Expérience positive: Fantastic facility for rehab and hydrotherapy. Staff are busy and strained from extra people due to water shortage in Calgary. Awesome lifeguard by the name of Ben addressed all concerns I had. Be aware of a lifeguard named Quinn who ignored public safety and tried to kick out a wounded older gentleman who had valid complaints about the safety issue that day in lane swim.
Hi PaulThank you for leaving a review of our Centre. We're glad you enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool. We'd love to hear about your experience with our guards. Please reach out to [email protected]
Expérience fantastique: During a recent visit from Calgary amid water restrictions, my family and I had the pleasure of exploring the SLS Centre in Cochrane. This sports complex truly impressed us with its beautiful facilities and amenities. The highlight for our kids was undoubtedly the expansive swimming area. It provided ample space for them to enjoy themselves, and the overall setup was notably more spacious compared to our usual spots like Seton and Trico closer to home. One of the standout factors for us was the affordability. At just $30 for a family of five, the entrance fee was significantly lower than what we typically pay at the Seton YMCA, making it a more budget-friendly option without compromising on quality. The facility came with two water slides, pools, good size hot tub, two family pools and a lazy river Overall, the SLS Centre offered us a refreshing change of pace with its excellent facilities, spacious swimming area, and cost-effective pricing. It's definitely a place we look forward to visiting again, especially when seeking a family-friendly outing that doesn't break the bank.
Thank you so much for your kind words Sean! We're glad your family had a great time exploring our facility. We look forward to having you back again!
Expérience fantastique: It is amazing it's just better than school
Expérience positive: Good place lots of stuff to do, just extremely busy most of the time and not open late enough
Expérience fantastique: Great facility. Attended a Multi Cultural Trade Show with a vast array of merchants offering very unique products.
Expérience fantastique: Great facility Warm pool kids love it here!
Expérience positive: Overpriced for what you get.... Sls raised their prices recently above the average for a very nice family centre in the city yet they don't offer nearly as nice of a facility. They should have left their prices the way they were or upgraded their facility first. It seems like a price gouge considering it's the only option for many families. It's too bad, they used to charge a fair price for what they offered. I gave it a few stars only because the staff is really friendly.
Expérience positive: I enjoy going to the SLS Centre when I’m in town visiting cousins, our go to is the Gym and Swim and when we are lucky the Saturday indoor market during the colder months. Facility is well kept minus occasional issues or closed down pool, hot tub and women’s swim change room.
Expérience négative: They let men in the female changeroom/bathrooms and don't warn you and if you don't like it the woman is asked to go elsewhere.
Expérience fantastique: Great facility to go by yourself or with friends and family. Staff are amazing ! Cochrane Is very fortunate to have this available. Great local sponsors as well. Healthy and tasty food services available.
Expérience négative: Only came here for a kids soccer game. Lockers were not accessible. The bleachers were only on one side. The glass looks like it's never been cleaned. The field had debris and peeling tape. Big facility I'm sure other aspects are great. But soccer feels like an after thought and they haven't looked at it since.
Expérience fantastique: This facility is amazing. Great programs for the whole family and many of them. The best value for fitness and fun.
Expérience fantastique: This is a family friendly recreation place in cochrane everything you need from fitness swimming and any other sports activities is available at rhis place.
Expérience positive: Great place for Family Fitness, really friendly staff and Patsys is a good place for a snack. September 3, 2022 - Still a great place for families. The new registration systems is a bit quirky, but the staff are great, patient and friendly when helping clients outs.
