I mostly wanted to leave a review to comment on the very friendly gentleman at the front desk who helped my partner and I out yesterday at our first visit. He was so friendly and knowledgeable, and overall just had a great vibe. I didn't catch his name, but he has a cute doggy! (Oh also, the playlist was fire hehe)

Expérience fantastique: Nice little gym with bouldering walls and a moon board. Small workout center on the second floor with hang boards and a campus board. I saw problems from V1-V10 with overall difficulty pretty in line with my expectations (only tried up to V8). A few comp problems and each wall section had at least one dyno problem which was awesome! There’s one corner of the gym with just slab problems too if that’s your kind of climb. Overall good mix of problems and styles. No lockers just cubbyholes so leave your valuables in your car or at home.

Expérience fantastique: Had a great experience there for my third time trying bouldering. Great vibes, and all the routes were very easy to follow on the walls. I sometimes have issues seeing the holds with washed out colors but theirs are very clear and distinguishable from the others.

Expérience fantastique: Love this place. A must visit any time I’m in Canmore. Route setting is stellar, staff and community are great too. Would recommend.

Expérience positive: Pool is nice, changing rooms clean, showers have hot water. One of the staff that was managing the hottub lineup was completely lost, he wouldn't use logic when counting the capacity in the hottub, and was separating family members and couples even when under capacity. Sauna was not hot enough.

Expérience fantastique: Was staying in Canmore for the weekend with my family during a cold snap so outdoor activities were out. I've never been to a climbing gym but my brother suggested it as something to do. We took me 5 and 3 year old daughters. With no frame of reference I can't speak for the climbing itself, but the facility is nice, the person working was helpful and kind to my kids and we all had a lot of fun climbing.

Expérience fantastique: Great place. I thought It wouldn’t have a ton of good routes because of how small it was, but honestly myself and my friends were pleasantly surprised. Super difficult climbs as well as beginner friendly ones. Super small and intimate, and really great pricing. Next time I’m out of Calgary and passing through Canmore I am 100% popping by. Music taste is great too so that’s always a plus. Small local gym but very much worth the visit if you’re just passing through the town and have time. 10/10, I recommend you visit! Front desk person was super nice and friendly too! :)

Expérience fantastique: Gym might look small but they have a workout gym upstairs and enough problems to have a solid session. Good amount of V1-3, few V4’s but after that plenty problems. Its evidently a very skilled gym because the lower grades are a bit harder than posted. All the problems were super fun with a lot of fun technique problems as well. They also have a moon wall at the end of the gym.

Expérience négative: Amazing community, everyone here is very friendly! They also have some cool renovations going on which sounds great! But, I've been going for 3 weeks, and enjoyed the climbing. However the routes haven't been changed at all since I first went so the climbing got stale quickly. Atleast in the V1-V6 range, also I'm not sure who sets them but they are wildly varied from grade to grade. Some V2's are harder than some V5's! This was mentioned to staff by various people who passed it on, but nothing changed. Maybe different if you climb hard as thier V7-V10 range seems to get alot of love. The community there makes it worth a visit but for $18 a visit I won't be going back!

Expérience fantastique: My friends and enemies have planted the seeds of going to a “climbing gym” for years. I have never, not once, expressed any desire to do so. This was a defeat by a thousand small cuts, I agreed to climb. Much like all the things we say we “don’t like” before we even try them, I actually had a good bit of fun! The guy at the desk was very funny and friendly and showed me the ropes, and then it was off to the races. There’s a great selection of climbs, from very beginner to very advanced. Everyone was extremely friendly, such a relaxed environment with absolutely no judgement. Great experience! I may even come back…

Expérience fantastique: I went with some pals twice this week while in town. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, the prices are reasonable, and the problems are a lot of fun! There’s a really nice community feel - I wish I was in town more often!

Expérience fantastique: Very nice place, good vibes, kind staff that can help you if you need it. I like the walls of different inclination. They have different livels for every levels. Music is always good and it’s nice to see dogs that are welcomed.

It's impressive that the compact space is very well utilized, but the trade-off is that there isn't a lot of variation in the walls. I might choose to stick with elevation place the next time I'm in Canmore. But hey--they have a cool moonboard! :)

Expérience fantastique: Without a doubt the very best training facility in Western Canada. The CCG is located in the heart of the Bow Valley, a short drive to the highest concentration of 5.14's in North America. The gym is owned and managed by a few of western Canada's most legendary climbers, and offers a perfect balance of social space, training space, and an absolutely perfectly designed bouldering wall.

Expérience fantastique: I visited Canmore Climbing Gym in July 2021 during a trip to Canmore. The gym was small but had a good amount of bouldering routes. There were multiple walls with different angles to add a challenge. I liked the variety of climbs with a good mix of easier and harder ones. They have shoes available to rent if you are traveling or don’t have your own. I really enjoyed my climb here! The community was friendly and supportive as well. Would definitely return again when I return to Canmore.

Expérience fantastique: A tremendous addition to the Bow Valley. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There is a wide variety of frequently changing routes and a perfect little training area. Very welcoming, family-friendly environment; it’s modern and airy without feeling pretentious (the custom wooden holds are simply superb). The team has done a top notch job with the space.

Expérience fantastique: Great place to go bouldering here in Canmore! Very small, quaint and has solid climbing routes. It was extremely easy to book a climbing session and to sign the waiver! Definitely coming back here to climb when I’m in Canmore

Expérience fantastique: Awesome gym! My favourite place to hang out in town, meet people and train hard! The setting is sweet and the routes are changed out often. They have a really good variety of problems and their custom wood grips are bomb. Such good community vibes!
