Expérience fantastique: I’m writing this after seeing another review about a situation involving a dog in the parking lot. While it’s completely understandable to be concerned about an animal’s wellbeing, I was disappointed to see the review include unnecessary personal remarks about a staff member. That doesn’t reflect the respectful environment this gym works hard to maintain. I know the manager mentioned, and she has always been professional, kind, and attentive. The staff at Crunch Brantford have consistently created an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere for people of all backgrounds, body types, and fitness levels. It’s one of the reasons so many of us love coming here — you don’t feel judged or talked down to; you feel supported. Sharing concerns is absolutely valid, but it can be done without making personal comments about anyone involved. In my experience, the team here genuinely cares about members and works hard to handle situations appropriately and respectfully. Crunch Brantford has been an amazing, inclusive community for me, and I felt it was important to offer a fair and respectful perspective.

Expérience fantastique: Leaving my own five-star review because as someone who actually goes to Crunch regularly, my experience has been the complete opposite of the dramatic review posted. The staff here have always been professional, helpful, and responsive, especially when approached and spoken to directly. They’re amazing, but they’re not psychic, so communication works far better than silently expecting someone to chase you down. I also found it disappointing to see a staff member described by her body size. That was unnecessary, inappropriate, and honestly goes against what a gym environment should stand for. One of the reasons I love Crunch is because it’s inclusive of all body types, sizes, and fitness levels, staff and members. As a plus-size woman myself, I feel comfortable, supported, respected, and never judged here, which is exactly how a gym should feel. Crunch Brantford has earned my five stars. It’s a welcoming, real-human environment, no negativity, no assumptions, and no theatrics required.

Expérience négative: I’m absolutely disgusted with how a staff member handled a situation today. When I arrived at the gym this morning at 9:45am there was a German Shepherd barking in a car. First and foremost, it’s absolutely unacceptable to leave your dog in a vehicle unattended for over a certain period of time, especially over an hour, which is what I waited for the person to come out of the gym and confront them about their dog left unattended in a vehicle for over. I have video proof and time stamped every Part of this incident Because crunch doesn’t have cameras facing the parking lot, which is mind blowing. I expressed concern over an hour to the staff members. A few of the male trainers and front desk Workers were definitely concerned about the dog but overall, because their manager a larger female woman with brown hair did not express any concern or go out to the vehicle to check on the dog no further investigation or concern was done by the staff members. The fact that I was the one that had to make a cruelty call and informed the police of what is going on is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable and personally, I’ll be trying to find another gym where I can confidently respect the staff members because they don’t tolerate animal neglect. I’m absolutely disgusted. I will be informing every rescue and SPCA in the area about the incident.

Expérience négative: Well poor customer service, poor communication and issues with refunds seems to be a steady and ongoing issues with crunch Brantford. I am another one of those people who sadly cancelled my membership last week when I was promised two months free after being dicked around for months after I referred two of my friends to the gym. Getting through to management or head office about your issues is like pulling teeth, no one really seems to care. I'd also like a refund for the 2nd month I was promised would be free that was instead charged to my credit card. I spoke to Osama on Monday still no word from upper management. I'll be surprised if I hear anything at all. I had been a member with crunch for almost 10 years... Not anymore.
Expérience négative: They have been over charging me for yanga for over 1 year. I have canceled it twice and now again this month charged for the yanga machine that I do not use. I have inquired with the front desk they say they would look into it. That was over a month ago, now awaiting the general manager call back. I just want my money back for the last year and for this yanga to be removed off my account. Not sure why it's such an issue. Calling head office is a nightmare., overall the gym is alright but random charges every month is unacceptable.

My concern was not understood properly by the junior front desk staff, but Osma listened carefully just once, understood the matter immediately, and used his experience to provide a solution. Jake was highly motivated and work with me to attain my goal of getting back in shape. He’s very knowledgeable and has a great personality. I would recommend Jake 10 out of 10 times to anyone. I can’t say enough good things about him. I enjoy going to train at the gym because of Jake. He’s simply awesome.

Expérience fantastique: If I could give 100 stars, I would. First of all, let me just say... I used to be TERRIFIED of the gym. Like, “I’d-rather-eat-a-whole-stick-of-butter-than-go” level of gym anxiety. But then... I met her. The legend. The myth. The incredibly helpful, always-smiling staff member at Crunch Brantford. I don’t know what’s in her water bottle, but she has the energy of 3 Red Bulls and the soul of a gym therapist. I think her name was Kaia but honestly? I just call her Captain Crunch because she crunched all my fears and made me actually enjoy walking into a fitness facility. She walked me through getting my membership like I was a confused baby deer and didn’t make me feel dumb once even though I 100% was. Now? You can catch me confidently walking in like I own the place. I'm still scared of the squat rack, but that’s a problem for Future Me. Also, side note: I don’t know if Crunch pays this woman to clean, but she’s always wiping down stuff like she’s auditioning for a cleaning commercial. I’ve never seen someone so enthusiastic about a disinfectant spray bottle. Anyway, if you're thinking of joining Crunch Brantford and you're hesitant or shy ask for Kaia. She’ll change your life, your mindset, and possibly your credit score. Not sure how, but I trust her.

Expérience positive: After a long struggle trying to get a refund and dealing with multiple people at this location including the district manager and the PT sales man and no positive result, in fact just kept getting invoiced I finally after 5 months was refunded due to Osama taking charge and fixing the problem. I am very happy with the way he treated me and he was the only one that returned phone calls and made things happen. Thanks for that Osama. The management could take a lesson from your customer service approach in the future.

It's always the same guy, Brandon, and it seems the staff doesn't make any notes that it is the wrong number. I've blocked the number but I still get their voicemails. This is getting ridiculous. Actually make a note and now I'm reaching out to the BBB to make a complaint.

I do wish it was 24 hours as a lot of us (adults) have work or other stuff during the day, it would be nice to have it open a bit more late! Also wish the hours on the weekend were better, having it closed during the evening is a bummer. Overall, great gym, staff is always nice, the atmosphere is welcoming, will be returning!

Expérience négative: The worst customer service I have ever encountered at a business. I have been a member for over 5 years and have moved and I need to cancel my membership and they say you have to go into the original branch to cancel there is no other possible way. I have tried to reach customer service at a corporate level but I am not able to gi d any contact information. They are accommodating when you want to sign up but absolutely horrible customer service especially from this branch, the manager has no respect for their clients. I would never sign up with it recommend this gym to anyone

Expérience fantastique: Always clean and not as overcrowded as before.
Expérience positive: Edit: they're open 24 hours for most of the week but weekend hours have changed, and Friday night went back and hour. An big improvement but still would love to see 9pm close or later on sat/sun I wish the hours here were a little more flexible. Stay open later on weekends! Staff are hit and miss. Some are gems, and are very helpful and caring. Some are distracted, inattentive and sometimes outright unprofessional. Not sure why there's such a wife variation of professionalism here. Weights are very disorganized, which is mostly the fault of the members, but I never see idle staff trying to find the right home for the weights. Overall...I'd like to see better hours and better training on part of your staff.

Expérience négative: You mention that customer satisfaction is your top priority but that is false. Take a Quick Look through your reviews. You say if there is anything you can do, to let you know. I’ve been trying to have someone do “anything they can do” for nearly 8 weeks now. I am owed a refund, and have not received it. All I want is my refund. Any other place of business will issue you a refund immediately. If you can take money on site when someone signs up then you are able to refund them. Sending me in circles is extremely bad business practice. You cannot give me a date that I will get my refund because it is never going to come. I was told 4-6 weeks. We are past that. Your “manager” is impossible to get ahold of. I need a refund. $65.07!

Expérience négative: My wife and I have been loyal Crunch members for 3+ years, but when we tried to cancel both memberships after 6 months of not attending, the experience was awful. Calls went unanswered, online support was useless, and in person we were told by rep Mohammed that cancellation is “in-store only” and we’d still be charged for another month—even though our online account shows the renewal date as Aug 14, not today. Their 30-day notice policy feels like a scam. Manager Osama sat right there, avoided eye contact, and refused to speak to us. All we asked was not to be charged for next month, yet we were met with rudeness, dismissal, and zero accountability—a clear example of putting profit over members.
We are sorry you did not have a pleasant experience with our business. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and if there is anything else we can do, please do not hesitate to let us know.

They charged my bank account $77 for the membership and a supposed late fee after I had canceled the membership online.. I’m yet to receive my refund and on top of that they said “memberships take 30 days to cancel” and they told me they are taking money from me AGAIN NEXT MONTH!!- this company is bullshit and scammers. DONT GO HERE !!

Expérience fantastique: When I went into the gym and had my first experience with the personal trainer manager.It was great.He explained all of the things that I could do with the goals that I want. Gave me realistic timeliness. Diet. And expectations. I saw great results. The staff are amazing. Bathrooms are kept clean. The equipment is broad. They have punching bags +++! Heavylifting Classes for other types of fitness. I'm so happy to go in. I'm greeted with respect and I get my joy from working on a better me. Join! Experience for yourself!

Expérience négative: Been waiting nearly a month now for a refund and the manager has yet to even reach out to me. Complete lack of professionalism. I was charged the monthly plan price plus a late fee TWO DAYS after I had already paid. And this was SIX DAYS after I stood at the counter for over ten minutes waiting to pay. No one was around. I finished my workout and waiting at the desk and again, no employee around. (I told the manager to check cameras) Then days later there was finally someone there, I paid, then two days later was charged again PLUS A $45 late fee. I went in July 2 and was told to contact a manager who was “only available weekdays around 11 am” (when the gen pop works) So I’ve been messaging on Instagram since July 7, still have yet to be in contact with the manager and have no refund. even listed in my payment history. It shows that I paid the monthly fee twice but no late fee. But it sure shows that in my bank statement which I will prove. If you actually reach out to people you say you’ll reach out to we can prove and explain and your can check your cameras to see where your employees were when customers were waiting to actively pay an owing balance. DO BETTER.

Expérience négative: I've gone to this Crunch for a bit now, and let me tell you the management has gone absolutely down hill the past few months. The previous manager Paula was significantly better than this new guy they have now. He does not care about current members whatsoever, and it feels like they are genuinely pushing out long time members just to bring in new people that cancel after a few months. Whenever I see the manager, he's just walking around the gym floor taking phone calls all day? And don't even get me started on the annoying personal training manager... If you're interested in training go to movati or something where they won't take advantage of you and have CERTIFIED trainers. Me and my family are done giving Crunch our business, instead of spending hundreds on random fees at crunch go to World Gym for a clean and quiet environment.

Expérience fantastique: I worked out here for about 3 years before moving away for work. It was a clean gym, lots of options & one of the better maintained gyms in the area. Can get busy at times (evening hours), but outside of those hours - it was awesome. I never felt like leaving/looking for other gyms. You could see the improvement over the years (adding more newer machines!) Will miss working out here & seeing the people I met.

Expérience négative: Normally I'd say this gym was great, but the classes they hold out on the main floor have their music blasted so loud that you can't even drown it out at full volume with headphones. Having to leave a workout 10 minutes in doesn't really feel worth staying with this gym. I totally understand playing music, everyone wants something to work out to, but if the individual gym goers can be considerate of others, then it shouldn't be so far fetched that the trainers employed by the gym also rewarded us the same favour.

Expérience négative: I have been going to this gym since it opened. It was once a fantastic place to workout but is now far over crowded to the point where it definitely violates safety protocols. Gym is a mess, bathrooms are disgusting, floors are disgusting. A good suggestion would be to steer very clear of any personal training here, I’m almost positive that half to almost all the staff that are “personal trainers” are indeed NOT certified while the head of PT claims they are. Ryan Basil and Geetesh love to take your money after you’ve cancelled PT. I’ve even heard the PT manager does not allow you to cancel your training and instead will slap you with a 30 days notice period in which you would be charged for 4 more weeks of your PT. This place turned into a dump and it’s quite sad. Management sucks and something should be done about it. Also Personal Trainers wearing open toe shoes while we are all told that it is frowned upon to wear in the gym? Insanity.

Expérience négative: I’m really not sure what is up with this location, I have NEVER had problems with Crunch until I moved to Brantford. Each staff member has different information, the rules for this gym are completely different than my “home” gym. The fact that you have to pay for water should be illegal, that is grosser than how the facility is left. It’s not the staffs fault that people do not put their equipment away, but the fact that someone hasn’t caught a communicable disease bc nothing is sanitized after use is a miracle. I love Crunch, but I hate Crunch Brantford.
Expérience positive: The gym has good facilities, but I have to go at 5:00 a.m. to complete my workout because at any other time, it’s extremely crowded. I think the gym should consider a way to control how many people enter at once to avoid overcrowding. Also, the ventilation or air conditioning needs improvement. During hot weather, the whole gym smells really bad, and it’s very uncomfortable to train in those conditions. About the music – I know not everyone likes the same thing, but soft jazz or meditation music doesn’t really fit the gym vibe. It would be better to play music that motivates people to work out instead of making them want to leave or fall asleep.

Expérience négative: THEY DO NOT LET YOU CANCEL DO NOT JOIN!!!!! i tried cancelling since i moved 2.5 hours away they asked me to email them pictures of my government issued ID and proof of residence?! there is absolutely no need for that information to cancel a membership, especially from a gym!! i then came in person to ensure my membership was cancelled to which they questioned me about why i was cancelling, where i moved to, how far away i was, etc. i’ve talked to 5 other people who have the same issues with this crunch where they refused to cancel their membership and continued charging them monthly fees and $25 late fees PER DAY. please do not come here!!!

They over billed her account after she said she wanted to cancel her personal training When she asked to be reimbursed they said there is nothing they could do. When she asked for the Gym manager they said they don't have anything like that. I have no idea how they run the gym with no representation like this. Watch out you will be over billed.

He is a great trainer with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to working out and achieving my goals. He has made me feel comfortable and confident in the gym, building my knowledge of proper form and techniques to ensure I am getting the most out of every workout. He has made a positive impact on my overall fitness journey and makes me excited for continued progress Calvin has a great knowledge of what my body can /cannot do as a senior.He has help me with a nutrition/meal plan and got me to start on my body transformation. Calvin makes it fun and challenging to go the gym. I am happily surprised at how much stronger I am inside and out. So if anyone wants to be happier, healthier, stronger and more flexible then Calvin can help you.

Each time I’ve been told it had been cancelled, and then months later they take out over $200 from me, on top of STILL taking out the monthly membership fee. It’s sickening that they don’t do a thorough screening for their hiring process. Save your time & money and go to another gym.

However, it has become extremely overcrowded to the point of not being able to find parking and not being able to do planned and structured workout routines. Half the people aren't actual members of the gym, they just get inside without the employees giving a crap whether they're entering rightfully or not. How much more money do you need to constantly promote memberships? You can't fit another body in there not to mention the ventilation is lacking and it smells like ass in there. I'm done with this gym and not looking forward to going back anytime soon until they get some standards
Expérience fantastique: I am just finishing up my 6th month of training with Calvin Daum. It has been the best experience of my life when it comes to my fitness journey. When I started I was looking for a kick start as I was just coasting, I watched Calvin train others and was intrigued, so I approached him and the rest is history. My body has gone through some dramatic changes, my confidence is much higher and the knowledge he has taught can’t be ignored. Calvin knows his stuff and applies his knowledge to what your individual needs and wants are, he takes pride in teaching the process that you can take with you for the rest of your life. I now have random people approach me with how my physique has changed and how good I am looking to keep going! Which is exactly what I plan to do. If you want to learn how to train or just how to take care of your body for life, talk to Calvin!! You will never look back!

I myself have multiple ailments due to my time in the Military, and my Fiancee was involved in a bad MVA a few years ago. We were looking for ways to improve our mobility, flexibility, and endurance so that we could improve our day to day activities. Calvin has worked with us since the beginning of November 2024 on our mobility and flexibility, which has improved greatly in a short period of time. Calvin is quite knowledgeable with the kinetics of the human body, and knows when to push, and when to adapt an alternative method for the same results. He deals with his clients with compassion, and his attentiveness to detail will help you strive for success. We are grateful for everything he has taught us so far in regards to making a Lifestyle changes to live out our golden years to the fullest

My only gripe is what the hell is going on in the men's bathroom I joined 3 or so months ago and the shower caddies and shower heads have been either broken or stolen more than three times for each of the four shower stalls! At this rate I'm going to be reduced to just using the plumbing straight from the wall.

I logged in to see if I could delete my account online and I see an overdue balance of $433. Like, how That's madness. After already robbing me twice for more training I did NOT want, AFTER the MANANAGER said he put the notes in, they are still trying to pull more money out of me. I haven't used the gym in monthsssssss !!!! And the last payment was in January, how would it even get to $433.00 ?!! No one contacts to say " oh hey, you know your payments are still going up" . Why ? Is it a way to make a quick bill on people. No one gets money on the ground. I work hard just to be giving the gym so much of my money ? $600 in training I didn't want and now you want to tell me $433 for February till now for services I haven't used ??? Update: I'm only here to correct that it wasn't the manager. Could've sworn my trainer told me it was but no. Spoke to the actual manager who was pretty helpful. That's all, everything else stands.
