Expérience négative: You would think you are applying for an loan from the bank with the way this gym operates. They make applying for membership difficult and what's worse is cancelling for it, you get charged a huge sum just to cancel regardless of how long in advance you told them, they tell you that you won't get charged at first, but when u try to cancel them they charge you. It's more like a Debt trap than a gym membership. Shame on you!

When I signed up, Goodlife associate, Sabrina, did an amazing job helping me find my fitness goals as well as orientate me to the facility and the many amenities available to members. Further, after learning about my growing interest in yoga, she made a great recommendation to join a yoga class as I got one for free with my membership. Expérience négative: They just started to charge me way more than the agreement stated. When I requested receipts to understand why it took months to get the receipts and no way to recover the extra payments. After reading reddit reviews, many others have had the same experiences across Canada. You will only escape them in small claims court. Their policy is like the mob. You can never leave. They will just randomly start charging you months down the road.

Expérience fantastique: Wonderful experience at GoodLife Fitness in Brandon. Very clean facilities (thanks to the amazing janitorial team from El Salvador - they are the best cleaners I have ever seen). Great staff with special mention to Chloe who is really helpful and seeing her smile is a like taking an energy drink for me. Everyone working there contributed to the positive vibes. And the patrons were also very good and you can see that everyone is happy there. Highly recommended. I am moving away and I will miss that place. 5 stars

Expérience négative: I wish there is 0 star to give, i was a member of this gym for over 3 year's and i want to move to out of province permanently so i ask them to cancel my contract, i have to pay them 2 time for me and for my son 240.00 dollar's for zero service. It is really sad.most painful thing is the way they talk to me and there ignorance is mind blowing.

Expérience négative: I think when people come from out of town and want to maintain their healthy lifestyle they shouldn’t be hit with a $26 fee to use the facility. My friend and I decided to pay the fee because we needed a workout and the gym had the equipment we needed. But when we asked for a towel for the shower they said “they don’t do towels”. After drying myself off with my hoodie I stopped by the desk to ask them to mention my displeasure to their manager of having to pay that fee and not even getting a towel. The little be-atch rolled her eyes at me and reiterated the “don’t do towel” thing. Not very welcoming Good Life Brandon. Do better !!

Expérience positive: Their 1 800 number is a joke. Overall the local Brandon gym is pretty decent, however I purchased the ultimate pass because I was told one of the benefits was that I could access gyms in the States. The first time I tried to use this feature, the 24 hour fitness was unaware of this partnership and I was given a week first time guest pass, the remaining week I had to use the hotel gym. When dealing with the customer service line regarding this issue, I was told there was nothing they could do about it and was given some bs about this feature not being part of my membership but an "accessory". Then i emailed a complaint to member services and got more bs regurgitating this. It's almost as if their service department is there to service themselves and not the members of their club! Why am I paying for the ultimate pass when the first time I try to use it I'm denied??

It is possible that the Associate at the location that you were trying to access was not familiar with the partnership. Expérience fantastique: What a great start of my weekend with the sweaty work from the RPM class, relaxation in the sauna and support of the last vacay suntan in the tanning bed. They offer a good selection of the classes as a bodypump (my fav), core and stretching and yoga and... There is a spacey room to do your weights lifting or/and using machines. I think everybody can find an activity for themselves in here in their healthy path.

(I know absolutely nothing about gym equipment) staff are very friendly, always smiling. GoodLife website and app says towel service...found out while there post workout that they do not offer towels. I had to go back to the hotel to shower before work. Expérience fantastique: The staff here have been amazing since I joined. They don't charge me when lockdowns happen as a result of covid and over all I really look forward to coming in. Most of the regular staff have taken the time to learn my name and great me. I have not had an experience better than this location and I've been to alot of gyms. By far the best goodlife I've been too and I had lived in other provinces.

Expérience fantastique: It's a good life at GoodLife! I have been working out in Brandon on and off (unfortunately some off time, but I'm back!!) In Brandon for 30 years. By far this is the best gym I have worked out in and been a member of. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The classes are so much fun, cardio & weight machines are readily available in varying times of the day, the sauna always hot and the convenience of the showers is wonderful. A very welcoming atmosphere. My membership began July of 2017 and I haven't looked back, and plan on many more years to come.

Prices are fair, but the one year commitment does sting a bit. Still, top quality facility with great staff. Edit: No more one year commitment. Even better!

Expérience négative: Unfortunately they do worry about sales more than the actual customer they already have. It is becoming too busy with people not using the equipment properly - the waits between squats (that many use for arm day) and other equipment - is long and you cool down too quickly.

They will put you on a month to month contract without telling you, then advise you that you still require 30 days notice to cancel after your 1-year contract. There's no loyalty to their customers here.
HI Brendon. Our Membership agreements do state that the membership continues on a month to month basis after the binding period has ended. Many of our Members choose to continue after the one year and we do not assume cancellation. We do require 30 days notice for cancellation. We apologize if there was any misunderstanding.

Large, spacious and friendly atmosphere for both beginners and advanced gym goers :) My only suggestion to the club would be less bleach for cleaning in the bathrooms. I had to leave a workout early cause my eyes/nose were burning so much from the change room (Although I went in as they were cleaning so it was strong).

Expérience négative: While the staff are friendly and nice and the gym is decent there are some serious issues with the gym. One of the biggest reason i strongly recommend you go elsewhere is how Good Life lies to you to attract into business and take your money while stifling what they offer you. They wont tell you upon signing a year long contract (that costs $150 to cancel) That they shut off the water in the showers at a certain time, so if you go to the gym Friday night, or really anytime in the night, you cant have a shower. Not to mention, you cant use the sauna, nor can you use the massage chairs. I am not sure about you, but when i pay a flat monthly fee for a 24 hour gym with all the amenities, but then get ripped off from being able to use what i am paying for, it doesnt sit well with me, and neither should it you. Now i have tried talking to numerous staff, all of them give excuses as to why its not available during certain times despite it not making any logical sense. Above that i have spoken with their member support team only via email, since if you try and call, they will hang up on you, and never call you back like their automated system tells you they will. In total i have made 10 attempts at communicating my dissatisfaction and for the most part i have been getting ignored. So effective asap i am cancelling my membership, and going to Peak Fitness in Brandon. Its a shame such a good gym is ruined by greed and corporate policy.

Expérience positive: Lots of equipment, often busy. After a few weeks at the establishment, I met with one of the managers with some feedback and offered suggestions. They fell on deaf ears. If they didn't have 24/7 access, I would have already revoked my membership, cancellation fees be damned.

Expérience fantastique: Do yourself a huge favor and deal only with the in-store staff. Corporate office will not care at all about you and treat you like you don't matter. Local staff get 5 stars for resolving my cancellation issues.

Expérience négative: My experience and my 2 sons have had nothing but bad experiences when it comes to the banking and registration part. The facility is great, the young ladies who work there are very polite and professional . There is a few gentleman who are excellent when it comes to dealing with people and explaining information. There is a however, a lot of miscommunication when it comes to management decisions. Very confusing and no one seems to be on the same page. Good luck in the future. As for me I am out of here. Moving to a less confusing facility.
