Expérience fantastique: They have recently upgraded the lights which has made the club much brighter. I really appreciate that because it used to be relatively dark and counterintuitive.
Expérience négative: Today the sauna smelled like body odor and had a dozen empty plastic water bottle littered inside. No hot water and towels feel like sandpaper. Last Sunday there were no towels. Excercise equipment not regularly maintained. Many stickers indicating weight on machines are missing or worn out. I estimate over 20 customers this Sunday morning and only one staff at the desk visible. Locker doors broken. Towels on the floor. How can this happen at a club as busy as this? Can they not afford staff to maintain this place?

Weights and dumbbells are frequently left scattered around instead of being put back. The place could use better organization and cleanliness.

Expérience négative: I've been to many different Goodlife's in the GTA and this has to be the worst gym culture I've ever seen. No one puts their weight back where they belong , the staff leave the gym unkept, the clientele treat the place like their own personal gym and take forever on machines. The gym does have a wide variety of machines though so you have options but avoid going at peak times if you can help it.

Expérience négative: I’ve been coming to this gym for over a year, but lately the quality has gone downhill. Towels are often not available, soap dispensers in the washrooms are empty, no tissues for cleaning equipment, and the place has become overcrowded. Shockingly, this happens almost every time I come about 3 times a week. It’s disappointing to see such poor maintenance and lack of basic hygiene standards in a gym that used to be reliable.

The showers in the men’s change room always starts off cold for the first couple minutes, then the hot water comes. Or vice versa, in multiple shower stalls. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Expérience positive: Happened to be in the area and dropped in for a quick workout. I saw these Hammer Strength machines and I was the happiest guy in the world haha. These hit the spot so well So far I have seen these here, Brampton and Victoria park location. I wish all the locations carried this. Overall, nice gym with tons of free weights and machines and cardio options.

Expérience négative: Unfortunately, GoodLife at Interchange has really gone downhill in terms of member experience and overall gym management. There’s a clear lack of enforcement when it comes to basic gym etiquette — people set up tripods and film themselves with no regard for others trying to use the space. Hygiene is also a concern, as some members clearly haven’t been addressed despite strong, unpleasant body odor that affects everyone around them. On weekends, it’s common to see three or more staff members behind the front desk doing very little, while the gym floor is a mess — weights left scattered, equipment out of place, and no one taking initiative to maintain order or cleanliness. It feels like member comfort and accountability are no longer priorities here. With Crunch Fitness opening just around the corner… just saying.

Expérience négative: I'm not a person who usually complains, but this GoodLife location was really disappointing. The showers had grime build up and were downright disgusting. The locker room felt unhygienic, the floors were gross, and the towel service was terrible, towels were yellowed, worn out, and falling apart. If you care about cleanliness or expect even basic standards from a gym, I’d strongly recommend going to a different location.

Expérience négative: I was actually a member at this club for a long time before Covid hit. I recently visited this club because construction in my neighbourhood made it difficult to get to the Finch and Dufferin GoodLife (which is where I normally go). Very disappointing! For years, there were several broken showers in the men's change room and it typically took several minutes for the water to heat up. Well, guess what? Nothing has changed. The broken showers are still there. And, while standing in one of the few functioning shower stalls I had to wait several minutes for the hot water to kick in. Excuse me for not being a fan of ice cold showers! Here's a suggestion - hire a plumber!!!

There are strains and chewing gums on the floor of changing room . washroom was full of smell , showers were not working!! broken tiles too . i visited today in the early morning around 4 am there was a lady on the front desk very unprofessional and disrespectful! i asked her towel and she was giving me looks like i asked for a million dollars. WORST GOODLIFE gym i visited ever !

Usually great experience but today I was so shocked in the manner employee Maria (older lady with a blonde type mullet) spoke to me. She was so aggressive and rude. I couldn’t believe it. I pay for the highest membership with GoodLife, and always enjoy their gyms. But my experience with this employee today definitely made me second guess that decision. Wow.

It's pretty clean and people put the weights away...not like other locations I've been to. Staff at the front are pleasant...big gym and lots of equipment!!!

This is my first time meeting this lady. Can we say personality is top notch. And the way she kept the gym lawwwwd everything was in order I'm talking paper towels was stack water in all bts weight were stack and the ladies washroom was spotless. I truly think she should b a manager or a trainer to teach how to keep a gym . She should get Recognition most of the morning ladies and myself totally agree. Second is Leon he is the very same as Maria. I've spoken to yomi (mgnt) about keeping her and Leon at our gym..because let's be honest. Who doesn't like to walk into a gym and and b greeted well and see everything stack and spotless. Please teach the others to take pride of where u work. Thank u.

Expérience négative: Good gym with lots of equipment but guys please fix the thermostat and the showers really need a renovation. The water temperature of showers doesn’t work and you are forced to take a cold or super hot shower since the temperature of water doesn’t change.

Expérience négative: Have been a member of this gym since 2012 and had to cancel my membership because they only care about taking money more than supporting me as a member. Had recently gone through some tough times financially where I put the membership on hold for on month. The reduced membership fee bounced and I had to pay $ 70 in charges. They showed no empathy or compassion with me despite being a member for 12 years. Terrible gym that doesn't care about it's own members. If you fall into a hard time they will kick you down further.

Expérience négative: I've been a long standing member of this gym, and have committed to personal training sessions here for over 1.5 years. I have lost well over 100+ pounds over my journey so far. The sessions themselves were effective until it became evident that my chances of renewal were slim given how far I progressed and how comfortable I had become working out without a trainer. Now that I am no longer willing to spend an extra $900/month on top of the membership fee, I have noticed a distinct difference in how gym staff/management treat me. Contrary to the mission of personal trainig, it seems that if you progress too quickly where you no longer need the sessions you are no longer subject to support from this environment. Not to mention, the former manager of personal training was involved in some "unethical" practices. Change rooms are in a perpetual state of disgust, equipment is usually misplaced/broken, gym ambience has fallen below standard, which is reflective in the high turnover amongst staff.

Expérience fantastique: This is a review that has been long overdue for this specific club location. I'd like to start off by saying that I have worked out the Interchange location since it was Extreme Fitness!! Many may be too young to remember that gym chain before Goodlife took over ownership. It was a fantastic move on Goodlife's part but all of this to say that I have been working out at this location for over a decade. I have seen staff come and go and I have witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly. With that said....the current evening staff members are by far, head and shoulders above any of the past employees of either of two companies that have existed and currently exist before. They are friendly, organized, well-mannered, warm, accommodating, polite, respectful and work together as a unit better than any other group to represent Goodlife and it's company's spirit!! So much so that they deserve honorable mention. Shanice...Always fun, smiling, professional and friendly greeting every member as they walk in. Nicole....Always sharp, delightful, professional and a great multitasker. Her "welcomes" and "farewells" are endless and she greets and all with a smile. Caleb (personal trainer)...professional, friendly, warm and a kindred spirit. You can find him on the floor with clients, or just around the club greeting members in all areas. There's not a time where I have not seen him and he has not taken the time to say hi making us all feel welcomed like family. Moon.....organized, warm and soft spoken, always available to be of service. Together, this group of young individuals has elevated this location to the bright, and well organized electric spirit that "Goodlife Interchange" now possesses and has had for some time! On any given day, you can find them folding towels, answering questions, giving tours, greeting members or just lighting up the gym with their smiles. But wait, there's more. The initial reason for this review was to detail a specific interaction with one employee who is so humble that he asked that he not be mentioned by name here. That should tell you all you need to know about him already. Humility in and of itself is a rare and long lost characteristic among our current society and the fact that this young man displays it should be openly acknowledged by Goodlife management and Corporate! I originally wanted to speak the manager, Yomi, but he had left for the day so I hope that he will see this review and pass it to those higher up because this group and the young man in question have gone over and above in their representation on the Club. I rememeber when Yomi himself used to work the front and when he used to do tours and sign up new members. Yomi has obviously done well for himself so I am hoping he shines some light on and commends those individuals who make his reputation what it is. And especially B***r who left a lasting positive impression on me. While I was training my back a few days ago I was interested in using a close-grip lat pull down attachment that is made available at some clubs by signing it out because the piece is often stolen. I approached and asked B***r if I could have access to it. Although it's not permitted rather than shut me down, which would be fully within his right, he searched the personal training room for the attachment. After he couldn't find it he proceeded to ask another employee where it may be. B***r did not have to, and I told him it was fine if we could not find it, but he persisted and obtained intel that the close grip may be in the managers office. B***r got a key went into the office and obtained the grip for me. I used it and made certain to return it directly to him, after which B***r thanked me?!?! NO SIR. I should be thanking you for going over and beyond and for making me know that my fitness goals and workout experiences are important to you and therefore important to the company you represent. Thank you B***r and thank you staff at Goodlife Interchange. Your efforts are not going unnoticed. Keep up the fantastic service and see you soon. Kevin.

Expérience fantastique: If you haven’t been to this location in a minute, check it out sometime! I don’t know if it’s because the gym is under newer management (Yomi) or what… but this location is so much better NOW than it was back in 2019/2020. The gym floor is SOOOO CLEAN! The club attendants do such a good job of keeping the place neat and organized and filled up! All the staff are so friendly to everyone :) There’s definitely a different vibe in this gym now compared to how it felt 5 years ago! I prefer my workouts to happen there between 10am-4pm, as there is never a fight for equipment (although Saturday and Sunday mornings are much busier than Mon-Fri mornings). After 5pm this gym can get fairly busy (especially weekdays), so if you prefer a more serene workout environment, with a little more breathing room, aim for late mornings and afternoons. The women’s change room is mostly always clean — although sometimes the floor inside the toilet stalls could use a little extra attention to detail ;) Thanks to everyone at GoodLife Interchange for showing up everyday as your best selves! In some cases it’s members who think they will be picked up after BUT cleanliness of the entire area is lacking. Expérience positive: Go in the morning. The PM workout crew doesn’t like to clean up after themselves and it is always pretty busy. The staff shouldn’t have to put your weights away when you’re finished… Water is mostly cold, change rooms can have a funky smell sometimes.

Expérience négative: The employees here do not respect the decision to not purchase personal training. They’ll keep trying to get you to purchase it. I came to this gym over a week ago with a trial, expecting a tour of the gym which is what I signed up for online. I then was seated with an employee who did everything in her power to get me to a purchase personal training package. She asked me about past injuries and used that to try to convince me that personal training would help even though I’ve been through rehab already. I told the employee 3 times that if this personal training isn’t a part of the membership, I don’t want it. The employee then proceeded to tell her manager who came to me and tried to relate to my injury. Don’t know if he was truthful or not but he then told the employee to put me with a a trainer. I decided to just go with it since I’ve been sitting there for so long. The employee never mentioned that I would have to pay now and when I declined paying until I actually get the membership her whole demeanour changed. It’s obvious she was doing everything in her power including being polite to get me to purchase the training. She ended up not giving me a tour of the gym until I asked. I saw that sue was hesitating to, so I just asked for the change room and that’s it. It was honestly a horrible, time consuming experience and I’m not comfortable going to a gym where I know employees are trying to manipulate people into getting things they don’t want. I wont be getting a membership at this location and just a warning to everyone reading this that you may have the same experience.

After I refused the first time I was met with a condescending attitude and hostility. Had to refuse several times before the lady gave me my key fob. Wasted an hour of my time.

Expérience négative: Good location and 24 hrs 7 days a week is nice. I was in the area for work yesterday and managed to squeeze in a workout. Lots of equipment and not too many people. Thats where the good stops... The Men's locker room was something else. Locker doors ripped off and just jammed back in the open hole, the floor was filthy. The showers... Just WOW. Can't say I have ever left a shower feeling dirtier than when I went in. Half the lights don't work. Of the 12+? stalls (with gross shower curtains sticking together) only 4 of them had soap. And of those 4 only 2 of them had handles on the shower. One of them didn't even spray water. Had scalding hot water for all of 30 seconds then it went ice cold. There was a stall with an entire head worth of hair on the floor. I've been to a few locations around Ontario and had good experiences. Will NEVER return to this location, and I'm amazed you actually have people using the facility. Disgusting.

Expérience négative: I have been attending this gym off and on for MANY years, back to before it was a Goodlife, or even a Premiere/Curzons gym. There is still a good variety of equipment, though it is MUCH busier than it used to be. There is a decent variety of equipment, but not a lot of duplicates so there is a good chance you will be waiting. Some of the patrons have little courtesy and leave weights on when done, leave dumbbells everywhere, tie up machines while on the phone and work supersets between multiple machines/pulleys. The men's change room is a disaster. The showers are dark, dirty and smelly; the curtains are ripped, missing rings and dirty; stall pressure is random, and the changeroom overall looks just as it did what I estimate to be decades ago. In the gym, it is not much different: it's dim with multiple light bulbs in fixtures burnt out, a number of TV's on the equipment no longer work, and wall decorations are peeling away and look dingy. Sanitizer dispensers are essentially gone or empty since COVID was cancelled. There is a lot of potential at this gym. For the cost of membership now - over $800?? - the facilities should be in much better repair than they are.

Expérience négative: Be cautious about this location and the Goodlife brand in general. I was subject to a theft at the facility (mine and several other lockers were broken into). I filed a police report and complaint with GoodLife as it appears they had awareness there was suspicious activity at/around the time and took no additional steps (eg, call police, post a notice, extra walk arounds) to prevent or mitigate the situation. Also, after filing a concern with GoodLife, I’ve received no follow up after two weeks and repeated attempts to request an update on their review.

He’s the perfect trainer if you’re looking for someone who’s warm and personable, but will also share their knowledge with you and kick your butt. I love the gym too! It’s a little far from where I live currently, but I make the trip for the classes and how spacious it is. Keep up the good work Freddy and I recommend the gym to those looking to try this location!

Expérience fantastique: Great gym, very large facility, the staff are all great and personal trainers are very welcoming. They have lots of great machines and cardio machines as well. Marc is one of my favourite workers, he really connects and makes you feel comfortable. Caleb is one of the PTs here, he always says hi and welcomes me when I see him, and always motivates me to have a good workout. Overall, it’s a great location with good equipment and great staff.

One thing in particular that I really like is that broken equipment never goes unrepaired for more than a few days. Expérience négative: The gym itself is ideal. It is large with a good assortment of equipment, although due to its size and number of members using the machines, I still find it is lacking. They just recently got a second dual pec deck/rear delt machine which is great but I see they have removed some other machines which is disappointing. They recently did a revamp at this location and relocated a lot of the equipment; I am assuming they had to sacrifice some machines to give way for more space. However the reasons I am giving this gym a less than average review should be noted. The cleanliness. Now I do need to state that the cleaners at this establishment are great. They are hard working and leave the place spotless so my respects to them and I do not want this complaint to reflect on their hard work. Since this gym is open 24/7, it is clear that no cleanliness maintenance is done throughout the day. By the time I get to the gym (usually late in the evenings), the locker rooms are a MESS and the smell is even worse; broken lockers (that are never fixed), used towels everywhere (on the bench, on the floor), garbage bins overflowing with paper towels on the floor, broken water faucets, no paper towels available to dry our hands; using the air dryer here is kind of gross (knowing they blow out bacteria per some studies but that is a conversation for a different day) especially considering the condition of the bathroom, which leads me to one of my biggest annoyances here - the bathroom. No words to describe the terrible stench that emanates from the bathroom and especially their urinals and the sometimes sticky, sometimes wet, and always nasty floor underneath them. I literally have to wash my sneakers daily to remove the urine from them. It is that gross. I have been to cheapo bars downtown with less offensive looking and smelling urinals than the ones here. I used to come to this gym in 2004 (when this gym was a BALLY's) and it was never this bad. It was clean and never unusable like it is now. Again, the cleaners do a fantastic job in cleaning but the maintenance throughout the day is non-existent and for a gym of this size that is open 24/7, it is needed. I also despise the fact that so many members are allowed to take pictures of themselves INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM. I am aware that some staff are probably not aware, but unlike before, there is never a presence inside the locker rooms and I have seen staff turn a blind eye when they do see it. I have lost count how many times I walk in and see someone in the washroom taking pictures of their sculpted physique [insert not impressed face here] in front of the mirror despite the urinals, bathroom, and lockers being just a few feet away. Years ago, when staff actually made their presence known, I saw them tell members caught taking pictures in the locker rooms to put their phone away immediately, but none of this happens now. There should be some level of privacy inside the locker rooms and there is none at this location and due to the unfortunate rise of fitness influencers in this age of TikTok and social media, this is getting worse and is becoming more of a nuisance. At least have notes in the locker rooms and bathrooms that camera phones are not permitted and anyone caught taking pictures inside the locker rooms will have their membership suspended or revoked. And by notice, I mean more than just a note printed in cheap printer paper in a font nobody can read from a distance. With all of that said, I like the size of the gym and the number of equipment options available, but the cons weigh this down for me especially considering Goodlife is not cheap. So much so that I am considering cancelling my membership and joining another club that is not a Goodlife. I have been to cheaper clubs that do not exactly offer more in regards to equipment but offer much more when it comes to me being comfortable within their establishment, whether it's out on the floor or inside the locker room.

Expérience négative: I’ve been coming to this gym for years. It’s most convenient to me, 24 hours, one of the larger gyms in the area, I’ve always enjoyed coming here. The last 1 - 2 years has been a completely different experience. I can overlook the minor details, even the missing/ripped off doors on the locker rooms. The biggest problem for me is the volume of people. I used to be able to come at 9pm and it would be empty. It’s now currently 10:15pm and the gym is absolutely packed to the point where I am having trouble completing a 30 minute workout. Goodlife prices have increased by significant amounts over the last few years and each year I feel like I am being more and more ripped off for what I get at the club. If your schedule allows you to work out after midnight - 3pm then this is the club for you. But from 5pm - 10:30pm don’t expect to get a specific machine/bench/rack right away. I can’t imagine what this gym will look like once all the surrounding condos are completed. It may be time to look for a new gym elsewhere

Expérience fantastique: Really enjoy working out here! It’s my go to gym & I’m typically in by 5:30pm and out by 6:30pm. The crowds definitely get busy at that time but I can’t knock the gym for being busy during the time I choose to workout. Great machines, great turf & equipment upgrades.

Expérience négative: They recently removed the power cage/racks and replaced them with a hybrid version which includes a deadlift attachment. There was no need to do this. The power cage/racks exist for safety reasons. Very dangerous to do any sort of heavy barbell exercise on the new version.
