Expérience négative: Stay FAR away from Body Vision Fitness – especially from Wesley. I signed up with Body Vision Fitness over a year ago, and in the beginning, I was happy. I even brought more than 10 friends here because I believed it was a good gym. Unfortunately, the truth about how this place is run eventually showed itself – and it’s ugly. When I had to move 200 km away, I went directly to the front desk and froze my membership. The lady there was kind, professional, and told me very clearly: “You can unfreeze your membership only by calling or coming in, and until then, you won’t be charged.” That sounded fair. Fast forward a few months – I check my credit card and see that Body Vision Fitness had been charging me month after month without my permission. Over $200 taken from me for a membership I wasn’t even using. No phone call, no email, no notification, no CRM system in place to let me know – just silent charges. When I called, the front desk was again helpful. She said I could gift those months to a friend. I agreed, since I’m already paying for another friend’s membership here. She promised Wesley (the manager) would call or email me. Guess what? Wesley never called. Never emailed. Never followed up. I drove 200 km back to Body Vision Fitness just to deal with this in person. That’s when I met Wesley – and that’s when I realized how little this gym cares about its customers. Wesley was arrogant, dismissive, and straight up disrespectful. He bragged about Body Vision Fitness having 3,000 members paying $50/month (over $150,000/month in revenue) while refusing to refund or even transfer my measly $200 to the person I was already supporting at his gym. Instead, he smirked and told me the only option was basically to “deal with it.” His attitude screamed: “We make too much money to care about you.” A manager should try to find solutions, not flex his ego and brag about profits. Wesley is the definition of unprofessional – no smile, no respect, no accountability. Just excuses and arrogance. And let’s not pretend this gym is flawless: • Dirty bathrooms that are rarely cleaned. • A sauna that’s disgusting. • Broken machines that stay out of service for weeks. • Zero communication system to notify members about important changes. The only good thing here is the community of people – the members themselves are great. But Body Vision Fitness as a business? Especially under Wesley’s so-called leadership? An absolute joke. This gym had potential, but it’s managed by someone who thinks customer service is optional. If Wesley is the “face” of Body Vision Fitness, then this gym is doomed in the long run. Save yourself the headache. Go to a gym that values its members, cleans its facilities, and doesn’t let an arrogant manager disrespect people who supported them from the very beginning. Body Vision Fitness and Wesley have shown their true colours, and it’s not worth your money. PS – Follow Up on Body Vision Fitness Response Clearly Wesley is the one handling these replies. Out of 50+ reviews, Body Vision Fitness is always the hero and every customer is “wrong.” Yet in just one week, 20+ people have agreed with me that this gym is garbage. A 4.4 star rating doesn’t erase reality. Wesley, you ignored my emails, brushed me off in person, and now twist the story online. You conveniently left out key details, like the option to transfer my credit to the friend whose membership I already pay for. If you really had my signed form, why didn’t you just email it to me when I asked? Instead, you turned your back mid-conversation and walked away. Let’s be honest — nobody comes here because of “high standards.” People put up with Body Vision because it’s cheap. Bathrooms are dirty, equipment sits broken, and customer service is a joke. The only thing consistent is your arrogance. Your reputation is already falling apart. No amount of online spin or half-truths will fix what members already know: Body Vision Fitness is not worth it.

***In response to your edit, I want to clarify that the message you received was written directly by me, the owner. The individual you keep mentioning has never responded to reviews on behalf of this business, so please do not make assumptions about how we operate.

It’s clear that you continue to avoid taking accountability for your own actions (or lack thereof). As stated in my original response—and as shown in our records—you reached out on Aug 19 by email. Our admin manager immediately called you back, worked toward a resolution, and you agreed with everything except the transfer of credit to a non-member. At your request, she escalated it to him that evening. Then, less than 24hrs later, you came in not giving him the opportunity to follow up as planned. Contrary to what you’ve claimed, you did not “repeatedly” reach out—we have only the one email on file to prove otherwise.

As a business, we strive to reply within two business days (often within one) and handle approximately 50+ inquiries daily. This is a fair and standard practice in the industry.

Regarding your account, it is evident that you did not continue your freeze, which did in fact have an end date. All freezes must have one; otherwise, members could theoretically freeze their accounts indefinitely, which no business could sustain. While we understand your frustration, the fact remains that we even offered a compromise by applying the credit to you or a friend—an offer that went beyond what was required.

To repeatedly post untruthful claims, drag someone’s name through the mud, and ignore the facts is unacceptable. Disagreement with a policy does not give you license to misrepresent the truth or attack an individual because you didn't get your way.

We know our position is fair and accurate. Your approach, however, comes across less as constructive feedback and more as entitlement and refusal to accept responsibility.

When you requested a freeze, you signed a form specifying the freeze period from February 19, 2025, to May 19, 2025. During that time, you were not charged. The form shows both the start and end date of the freeze, along with the next scheduled billing date. At the time, our receptionist also explained that if you wished to extend the freeze, you could do so by contacting us in person, by phone, or by email. Since we did not receive such a request, billing resumed automatically on June 15. We would be happy to send you a copy of your signed form for your records.

On August 19, you contacted us via email regarding the charges and our administrative manager called your promptly and offered two options as a courtesy: to apply the credit to your own membership or transfer it to a non-member. While this is not something gyms typically provide, we offered it in good faith. You then visited the club the next day before our manager had the chance to follow up, and those same options were reviewed with you again. Two staff members were present during this conversation, and we want to reassure you that no comments about revenue or disrespectful behavior occurred.

Regarding cleanliness and equipment: our changerooms are checked and cleaned every 30 minutes, and the steam room is cleaned daily. During peak times, it can be more challenging to keep up, but our team works hard to maintain high standards. Equipment is regularly serviced, and when parts need to be sourced internationally, occasional delays can happen, though we make every effort to minimize downtime. This is why we have duplicates and triplicates of some of the more popular strength machines.

While we value member feedback and take concerns seriously, it’s also important that the information shared is accurate and reflects the facts.

Cleaning is subpar, management do not care abt you, equipment is old and outdated, often broken. Also one of the front desk members was rude to me, she’s a white girl (brunette) who I’m assuming is in her teens.

As explained in June, when your first payment did not go through, we waived the fee as a courtesy. Unfortunately, when this happened again in July and August, we were unable to waive additional fees since our processing company also charges us whenever a payment declines. While you mentioned that you lock your card for security, it is still the member’s responsibility to ensure it is available on the billing date to avoid penalties.

With respect to your comments regarding staff, please note that none of our front desk team members are teenagers, and we always encourage our staff to treat members with respect and professionalism. If you felt otherwise, we sincerely apologize and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly so we can address it.

Regarding cleanliness and equipment, we do have professional cleaners on site daily, and the majority of feedback we receive has been very positive. Over the past year, we have replaced nearly 90% of our strength equipment, added new cardio options, and introduced several unique machines not found in other gyms in the area. For machines that do go out of order, it is often because to misuse, and the majority of replacement parts must sometimes be ordered from outside Canada, which can take time due to back-orders.

We understand it is frustrating when expectations are not met, and we truly value member feedback as it helps us improve. Should you have further concerns, we would be happy to meet in person to discuss them.

Expérience positive: I come to this gym a lot, for many years and when everything’s working, it’s one of the best equipped gyms in Vaughan if not the best. That said… a few things need attention. There are consistently broken machines (especially the cables, treadmills & Stairmasters), and it sometimes feels like the priority is aesthetics over functionality.Like, I love a smoothie bar but I’d trade it for a working cable row and a second leg press that isn’t held together by hope. Also… this might be personal, but some members need to be gently reminded that body spray ≠ shower. Between the grunting, weight-slamming, and questionable BO levels, it can feel like a sensory challenge especially during peak hours. Still, I give it 4 stars because I do love the setup when it’s on point. Just hoping management focuses a little more on maintenance and culture moving forward. The potential here is huge.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been a member of this gym for about seven months. The atmosphere and equipment are good for the price, the staff are friendly and kind, and the holiday hours are excellent. However, I believe some improvements should be made to the men’s locker room. It’s often wet, and one of the washrooms is frequently out of service. It would also be much better to install a partition between the washroom and the locker area. At the moment, they’re combined, which makes the space neither clean nor pleasant when entering.

When there are breakdowns, particularly with cables, they require some parts from the U.S., as most are not available in Canada. Additionally, misuse of equipment, such as overloading, can contribute to wear and delays. Our immediate staff cannot repair these machines on-site, and while we have two technicians who regularly service the gym, they have recently been in high demand at other facilities in the GTA, which has caused longer-than-usual wait times.

Although you have already joined another gym, we hope you will consider giving us another chance in the future, as we have recently added more equipment to better serve our members. We wish you all the best.

Our cancellation policy is stated clearly in the membership agreement, and the process is designed to be quick and straightforward.

If cancellation is not submitted at least a few business days before a scheduled payment, the charge cannot be stopped since billing is processed through a third party. In these cases, the membership expiry date is extended by the additional month, so members still receive the full value of their payment.

We understand it can be frustrating if expectations don’t match the agreement, but it is each member’s responsibility to review and follow the cancellation policy they signed. The air hits you like a wall of B.O the second you walk in, it’s like deodorant is banned here. The gym feels like a sauna without any of the benefits, just heat, stink, and suffering. Don’t even think about using the showers unless you’re into black mold and mildew, it looks like they haven’t been cleaned since the building opened. Absolutely DISGUSTING. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. To clarify the facts: the AC was indeed down for a week. A technician came out the very next day, and replacement parts had to be ordered, which unfortunately took a few days to arrive. The system was fully repaired and functioning within the week. While we apologize for the heat and smell during that time, a little patience would have gone a long way. The majority of our members were understanding of the situation, and some even joked that it was too cold once the issue was resolved.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if the goal is to actually help a business improve, the professional approach is to bring concerns to management directly so they can be addressed properly.

To set the record straight:

Our air conditioning is fully functional and operating at full capacity.

As with any gym, body odour can occur, especially in areas where members are actively training. In the rare cases it has been noticeable, our front desk has always been happy to spray air freshener when asked—something we’ve done many times in the past.

Our showers and locker rooms are cleaned multiple times a day using industrial-grade disinfectants containing bleach. Cleanliness has consistently been one of our most praised qualities, as reflected in hundreds of verified reviews over the years.

The claim that someone will "get athlete’s foot" here is not only completely unfounded, it’s never happened—not once in our 25 years of operation. We take hygiene and sanitation extremely seriously and have strict protocols in place.

While we welcome constructive feedback, this review is so far removed from reality that it unfortunately appears to be part of a coordinated attempt to mislead the public—possibly by someone affiliated with a competitor. If this review was submitted in good faith, we encourage the individual to contact management directly so we can verify and address any legitimate concern.

Expérience négative: As of July 24, 2025, BodyVision is in a clear state of decline. Currently, only one StairMaster is operational, while the other five have been out of service for weeks. Most of the treadmills are also broken, making any kind of cardio almost impossible during peak hours. The T-bar landmine attachment has been broken and unreplaced for over a year, and the rubber flooring throughout the facility is falling apart, posing tripping hazards that haven’t been addressed. What’s most frustrating is that instead of fixing long-standing issues, management seems more focused on adding a juice bar than maintaining the actual gym equipment. The gym is also consistently overcrowded, adding to the frustration of dealing with broken or limited machines. While it’s true that BodyVision does have quality equipment like Atlantis, Prime, and Panatta, it’s disappointing to see that newer machines being brought in are low-quality, no-name, made-in-China knockoffs of reputable brands. The difference in build quality and performance is noticeable, and not in a good way. If the gym wants to maintain its reputation, it should continue to invest in trusted, brand-name commercial equipment that reflects the level of service members are paying for. Overall, this gym has a lot of potential, but the current priorities and lack of maintenance are dragging it down.

First, regarding the cardio equipment: As of this past Monday, one of our two main technicians was onsite to assess and begin work on the Stepmills. Up until this week, four out of six were operational. However, due to wear and tear, maintenance and replacement parts were required. Unfortunately, roughly 85% of our equipment parts are sourced from the U.S., and ongoing border delays continue to affect delivery timelines. We are actively tracking these parts and expect to have the Stepmills and several treadmills back in full operation shortly. In fact, the treadmill parts have already arrived—we're simply waiting on the technician's return to complete the repairs.

Regarding our strength and selectorized equipment: We maintain duplicates or even triplicates of many machines, ensuring minimal disruption for members. While peak hour crowding is a reality for virtually every fitness facility, our large free weight area and machine redundancy help distribute traffic and reduce wait times.

As for your comment about the quality of newer equipment: We strongly disagree with the suggestion that they are “low-quality” or “made-in-China knockoffs.” These machines are manufactured locally in Vaughan, Ontario, and were custom-built based on direct member requests—particularly from our bodybuilding community—for specialized plate-loaded machines like the leg extension. They are constructed using commercial-grade materials and are fully aligned with the build quality of our existing Atlantis, Prime, and Panatta lines.

It’s important to note that a significant number of equipment repairs stem from improper member use—for example, adding additional weight plates to machines not designed for them. We have posted clear signage throughout the gym as a preventative measure, but unfortunately, misuse remains a recurring issue.

With respect to the flooring, we are aware of a few small areas that require attention. This is already part of a larger facility upgrade plan that has been addressed and will be replaced next month.

Lastly, the juice bar was not implemented at the expense of equipment maintenance. It has been in planning since last year, and its launch was in direct response to frequent member requests. Enhancing the overall member experience includes both equipment improvements and added amenities.

We recognize there is always room for improvement and are actively working on the repairs and upgrades needed. Regarding the organization of the dumbbells, we completely understand your concern. Our cleaning and staff team does make a consistent effort to return weights to their designated racks in matching pairs. However, as with most gyms — particularly those with a large free weight section — weights can quickly become mismatched as members use and return them throughout the day. This is a common challenge in our industry.

That said, we take safety and organization seriously. While it’s not always possible to keep all weights perfectly paired at all times, we do make it a priority to keep them off the gym floor to ensure a safe and obstruction-free workout environment. We’ve also posted signage throughout the gym kindly reminding members to return equipment to its proper place.

Expérience négative: On June 25, 2025, I was physically assaulted by a member of BodyVision Fitness Club who had previously and repeatedly subjected me to verbal abuse. The situation escalated into a physical confrontation despite the fact that I had no intention of engaging in a fight and was merely speaking. Following the incident, I filed a report with the Richmond Hill Police Department. Based on their recommendation, I decided to cancel my membership for safety reasons. I also reported the incident via email to the management of BodyVision. However, they failed to take any meaningful action. The individual who assaulted me continued to attend the gym without facing any consequences or disciplinary measures. Despite the serious nature of the incident, my concerns were ignored. Since I cancelled my membership following the police’s advisement, I expected a refund for the unused portion of my payment. However, when I returned in person to request the refund, I was informed that, according to their policy, I have no right to object or request a refund. I am therefore filing formal complaint to request a proper investigation into the club’s handling of this matter, the unsafe environment they have allowed, and the refusal to issue a justified refund after my membership was terminated under serious and concerning circumstances.

We are aware of the incident that occurred on June 25, 2025, and have already responded directly to your friend and workout partner, who was also involved in this situation. As stated previously, both parties voluntarily left the gym during a verbal disagreement, and the reported altercation took place off-site—outside of our facility. Once members leave the premises, we are not in a position to supervise or be held accountable for their personal actions.

You returned to the gym shortly afterward and continued to work out, as seen clearly on our security footage. At no point did you notify our staff that you were injured or request emergency assistance while on-site. Days later, you contacted us by email, threatening legal action and demanding a refund—citing advice from the police—yet no police report or medical documentation has ever been submitted to support your claim.

We spoke with the other member involved, who denied any physical contact and stated he would avoid further interaction with you. Given that no incident occurred inside the gym, and based on the information and behavior observed, there was no violation of our policies that warranted disciplinary action.

It is important to note that simply being dissatisfied with a situation or outcome does not entitle a member to a refund—especially when there is no objective evidence supporting the claims being made. We have a responsibility to remain fair and consistent with all members, and we cannot issue refunds based solely on interpersonal conflicts.

Our facility takes safety and member conduct seriously. In the past, we have revoked memberships in cases of verified misconduct, harassment, or violence. This situation did not meet the threshold for such action.

We acknowledge that in any shared environment, not all personalities will get along. However, there are always two sides to every story. We stand by our staff's handling of the matter and regret that you chose to misrepresent the events in this way.

The air conditioning system went down exactly one week ago today. We responded promptly by having our HVAC technician assess the issue the very next day. Unfortunately, the necessary parts had to be specially ordered, and as with many large-scale commercial units—especially in a facility of over 20,000 square feet—repairs can take time and are not always straightforward.

Partial functionality (approximately 50%) was restored by Monday when the first phase of repairs was completed. Today, with the arrival of the remaining parts, our technician returned and has now completed the repairs. We're happy to report the AC is now fully operational at 100%.

We acknowledge how uncomfortable it can be to exercise in high heat, especially given the record-setting humidity and temperatures we've experienced over the past two weeks. To help alleviate this, we installed six industrial fans and an additional dehumidifier to provide as much relief as possible during the downtime.

This is the first significant AC issue we've experienced since 2022, and while we always aim to ensure uninterrupted comfort, there are times when delays—especially those related to parts and equipment—are out of our control. We appreciate the patience and understanding shown by the majority of our members during this unexpected situation.

This area is not safe for the public ! some individuals with apparent and uncontrolled mental health issues are present and may pose a potential threat to other members .Despite these risks ,the gym owner has knowingly allowed such individuals access to the facility in an effort to maximize profits through increased membership. Unfortunately ,this has come at the cost of basic safety and security, which are essential for any public service like Body Vision fitness club . The owner appears to operate with a ''hit and run'' approach -once a contract is cancelled, she avoids issuing refunds and shows little regard for ethics, rules or regulations. As mentioned, she seems solely profit-driven, with no concern for customer satisfaction or even the long -term reputation of her business . Although I personally feel a strong sense of social responsibility to stand against any abusive policies that harm customers ,I also believe its important to raise public awareness about such service providers . We are aware of the incident that took place between you and another member last week. To clarify, the disagreement you had was a personal dispute between two individuals and had nothing to do with the other member’s mental health, as you have claimed.

You chose to take the matter outside of our facility, and as clearly stated in our policies, once individuals leave our premises, we are not responsible for their actions nor are we in a position to monitor or intervene. Upon returning approximately ten minutes later, you and your friend resumed your workout—something that would be physically unlikely if the injury you reported was as severe as claimed. This is clearly documented on our surveillance footage.

You later sent emails to our team demanding a refund, citing that the police instructed you not to return. However, you have not provided any supporting documentation, such as a written police report (nor did they contact us) or medical records, to substantiate your claims. Without verifiable evidence, we cannot act on allegations alone.

We have spoken with the other member involved, who denies any physical contact occurred. He has also stated that he intends to avoid any future interaction with you at the gym.

As such, there is nothing further we can do to mediate this situation. While we regret that you are dissatisfied, a refund cannot be issued simply because you are uncomfortable around another member. In any shared public space, interpersonal differences can arise, and while we do not expect everyone to get along, we do expect a level of maturity and respect from all members.

To be clear, we have, in the past, revoked memberships when warranted—such as in cases of physical violence or discriminatory behavior. However, your situation does not meet the threshold for such action based on the information provided.

Lastly, your suggestion that our refusal to refund you is profit-driven is unfounded. Our pricing remains among the most competitive in the area, particularly for the range of services and equipment we offer.

We have known you for many years and are aware that there have been prior concerns and exaggerated claims. While we appreciate your history with the gym, we also recognize the importance of accountability and fairness for all members.

It is entirely your decision whether to return. Our team has acted professionally and within policy throughout, and we will continue to do so moving forward.

They might have almost twice the equipment that other gyms have but they also have 4 times the members other gyms have. Worst crowd of members you would ever want in a gym. Very selfish insecure steroid abusers, tri pod cameras everywhere, gym bags on equipment so that no one else can use it. I actually watched steroids being sold right on the floor more than once. Anyone that’s a member there knows who I’m talking about because they don’t even hide it and one of the owners is ok with it. This basement gym always smells like mold and piss in the change rooms. I can go on with a lot more but my advice would be to go elsewhere. When my membership is up I won’t renew. Unfortunately I’m stuck for now.

First off all, our equipment is top-of-the line with brands such as Altantis, Life Fitness, Precor, Panetta etc just to name a few. We have 1 or 2 pieces that are constantly being repaired because the members overload the machines with extra weight even though there are signs on them not to. Secondly, we have, and will NEVER condone selling drugs at our facility and rest assured if we knew it was happening "on the gym floor", those members would have been kicked out. If this is happening before your eyes, then you should have reported it asap. If you feel "stuck" then please leave as we do not welcome your lies or one-sided point of view. The majority of members are happy with the services and if they have any issues, they come to us right away. As for the smell, you must be very sensitive as we haven't had any complaints. We keep the facilities clean.

Expérience positive: It was a good ride with you guys but having 4 treadmills in a row broken for half a year without a fix is crazy work. The members themselves are pretty disgusting and don’t wash their hands after using the washroom to go number 2. Yep take that in, each piece of equipment that they touch also has that on it . One more issue was that they had not changed the pads for both the bicep curl machine or the handle grips on the deltoids machine and probably still haven’t. Overall I think Body Vision could have a lot of growth if they took constructive criticism and Tenzin is a great guy and manager but the staff need further training. Simple acts like restocking paper towels seem to be a huge task for the reception desk and they’re often sitting around texting all day. A solid 3/5 in the end, great price but limited growth the way they are now. Hope this inspires some change for the future for you! Take it positively and don’t see this as fighting words.

However, I was deeply disappointed when my membership was recently canceled because I brought my 4-year-old child with me. I completely understand that gyms have policies for safety, but it’s frustrating when these rules seem to lack flexibility for individual circumstances. My child has always been well-behaved, quiet, and respectful while accompanying me, posing no disruption to anyone’s workout. What leaves me baffled is that while my child’s presence apparently violates gym policies, I’ve repeatedly seen staff members turn a blind eye to inappropriate behavior from some other gym-goers, including people with aggressive tendencies and even racist remarks. It feels like there’s a double standard when enforcing rules. Bodyvision has so much potential to be a welcoming and inclusive space for all. I hope management takes a closer look at the actions and attitudes of certain staff members and patrons to make sure everyone is held to the same standard. It’s unfortunate that this situation led to my membership being canceled, as I genuinely enjoyed the gym. Hopefully, others don’t face the same disappointment.

Expérience positive: I’ve been a member since May 2022. No problems. The best gym I’ve been to. I needed a 5 min prayer space and the front desk lady offered a dirty corner at the end. No other options which was disappointing. I asked the manager in the room if I could use one of the empty rooms at the front to complete my prayer. It’s his act of kindness that really differentiates this gym from others. A 5 star review would be given if the dirty corner was not offered in the first place.

Expérience positive: Great gym with lots of equipment, a power rack, 4 squat racks, and even a sled pull track. I have been to lots of gyms in Toronto but none of them have had this much variety of machines at this price point. The staff are friendly, and the cleaners and maintenance people do a really good job keeping the place together. Only one improvement needed to make this place perfect is to invest some money into 2.5 lb, 5 lb, 10 lb, and 25 lb plates. It is hard to find these plates, even when the gym is not too busy (especially 25 lb plates).

Let's not make your argument about $20 although joking I happily paid so there's no dishonesty on my part. You can never say that I disrespected you are anyone there and I'm definitely at peace with how this went down. In response to what you just posted an hour ago, I wasn't the one who cancelled your membership in 2020. When you returned in December 2023, I made a point in saying welcome back and I haven't seen you in years! You quickly responded saying it was because of Covid. So please do not lie and say that I never asked why you left. We do not allow any type of freelance training at the gym. As far as our conversations go, you never mentioned your wife was a member at the gym. That is a strong accusation that we were on your case about training your friends. Unless we have concrete evidence, this is something we wouldn't do. As far as the guest fee goes, you were really pushing for another free visit and made my staff uncomfortable. In addition, you had every intention of renewing as you signed the contract and made a payment. The fact is, you realized that the amount wasn't $25/month and cancelled the same day you signed up. And, you're still glossing over the part where you just didn't want to pay an extra $15/month. I stand by what I wrote originally. This has nothing to do about being negative. You're the one who left a 1 star review because you didn't get your way.Also, there are 2 sides to every story, unless you live in a bubble. If you see a negative review, it doesn't mean what the person is saying is true. I know you're just responding to make yourself look and feel better about what happened. _________________________________________________________________________Hi Julian, we are disappointed with your review as you were a member in the past, (and you were completely happy at Body Vision) but not surprised. Since you didn't write anything, we feel we should give the potential consumer some context. You came back in December 2023 for a work out with one of our very esteemed members after a 3+ year break. You felt you should work out for free, so I allowed you to use the facilities without paying the guest fee. You came back a few days later wanting to work out for free again. This time, I said I already waived your guest fee and cannot do it again. However, I did mention you could apply the $20 fee to any membership if you joined within 24hrs. We are the only gym that has this type of Credit Program.As a joke, you asked about our rates from 10 years ago. I replied with "haha, sure" and then said right after that, I cannot honour rates from that long ago with all of the new machines we just added and renos. You chose not to hear that part of the conversation. I did tell you however that I would waive your initiation fee. So, when you came back to sign up the next day, it was a "surprise" that we couldn't charge you the rates from 10 years ago. As it is, our rates are too low for the type of machines we have. $39.99 monthly is more than affordable esp with inflation, and rising operational costs. You wanted $25/month which is completely unreasonable, AND I waived your initiation fee. The entitlement is unreal. We have members that have been with us since 2000, that didn't take 3 +years off (as you did), tell us our prices are too low and that we need to increase them to a min of $50/month. Gyms that have our machines (Panatta, Atlantis, etc) cost a min of $100/month with a registration fee. So although it seems that you misunderstood my laugh and didn't hear the part when I said that I cannot honour rates from 10 years ago, you took it upon yourself to leave a 1 star review without explaining why.

If someone is not happy here, then they are the personality type who seeks out trouble / conflict, and will never be happy. I have observed on multiple occasions where the staff attempts to resolve any issues which may arise in a timely and respectful manner. My only hesitation in writing this note is that it spreads the word on this hidden gem. Well done Body Vision!

Hi Mashal, thank you for the compliment on our machines. More are coming in June! Regarding the hours, if we were a 24hr gym, it would compromise the safety of our members, the quality and price. Our current members are happy with our service and staff and don't have an issue with the hours. If we can't accommodate your schedule, there are a couple of smaller gyms that are open 24hrs within 10kms. But, unfortunately you'll be settling for less machines and not having staff there in case of emergencies etc.

Hi Jacob, thanks for the 5 star review. We have 4 squat racks in our squat room. If our squat rack room is busy you can also use our RIG which can accommodate 2 more. We do have a stretching area which is beside our treadmills. We will tho work on increasing size of strech area in future. Thanks again for all your support

Expérience positive: Fix your equipment. Half the treadmills are broken and half the equipment is off/not straight. The bathrooms always have a mess and the paper towels are never refilled in a timely fashion in the washroom or on the floor itself. Do better Body Vision, your valuable members would appreciate some effort and quality.

Hello Mr Munch there are only 2 treadmills out of order currently we are waiting on parts. There is currently a shortage on circuit boards for these machines - as soon as they arrive will be fixed. The paper towel dispensor in mens needs to be replaced we have ordered a new one - there are 2 hand dryers in mens you can use for the meantime. Body Vision has always committed to effort for our members as we are also expecting 25 NEW machines shortly. When you mention effort and quality pls consider adding the pros we are working on as well.

Expérience négative: This gym is a total scam, especially for the cancellation. They kept charging me for month even though I called and mentioned I am out of province and cannot be there in-person to cancel my membership. definitely will tell everyone I know that this gym is not worth it.

We never received a call from you. You came in today and we showed you your contract in person and it states you must come in person to cancel your membership. Not sure where the scam or confusion comes in. It simply states in on page 1 and 2 of your contract. If you are going to sign up at any gym in the future, read your contract carefully instead of complaining about it months later. It's also a good idea to check your bank statements so that you know what is coming out of your account instead of waiting months and realize you forgot to come in person to cancel.

Expérience positive: Great gym with a lot of unique machines. If you are a real gym rat you know how precious the newest Atlantis hack squat, Atlantis pendulum squat and Panatta machines are. The front desk ladies are always super sweet and nice. Met Wesley and Simone when I signed up, both of them were super helpful and offered amazing service. My only pet peeve is that the dumbbell rack is horrifying please organize it and have people put back their weights on the right rack. It’s not that hard. Bonus, if they can start a posing room for competitors, then 11/10 :)

Expérience fantastique: My boyfriend and I just joined last week and so far we really like the gym. The staff is very nice and always greets you when you arrive or leave. Olivia was very sweet and helped us set up our membership. Overall for the price it's a great gym. They should buy the vacant unit next door and expand! Looking forward to working out here this year :)

Expérience fantastique: 1. Unbeatable membership fees (about $40/month), if you pay by cash or pay for the whole year of it in advance, you might get a discount (check with the staffs or PT if it is still available) 2. friendly, smiley, courteous staffs and boss who always happy to answer queries/questions and listen to members' feedback. 3. Not a huge sized gym but it has sufficient machines, dumbbells , benches etc to accommodate a variety of needs 4. washroom/change room/ showers are regularly cleaned and sanitized, Janitors are attentive too 5. Recently it have new machines moved in to replace old and damaged ones 6. a common rest area - a set of couches , a vendor machine and a TV where you can sit back or take a break during or after your intense workout 6. its location is in a plaza and it has lots of parking 7. you could freeze your membership for 3 months without any extra fees 8. i like this gym ! And lastly , if you are reading this, Sign up Now!

Expérience négative: Horrible gym; go every hour; there are 50 people inside; you have to wait half an hour for a device; don't spend your money in such a horrible place. Response to body vision comments. I’m not so sure. How did you guys keep track of my visit when nobody even bothers to scan the key tag at the door, also your 20,000 ft.² facility only has few treadmills and majority of the of the equipments are very old, out of tune or broken. Your staff closes the gym half an hour before they supposed to, and they shut the lights. I would never work out more than an hour in such a facility that smells like sweat and lacks ventilation. I do not have any outstanding balances since I emailed you guys and I told you guys are moving and provided proof but your manager never took time to respond to my email and also you charge me after that for year, I don't know what you say to this, but others call it theft.that shows how professional your gym is managedwhen you talk back to the client over a Google review but never responded to the emails.

Hello Negin, you haven't been in the gym since October 2022 (and only once) and then only once in July 2022. How are you able to make that observation from your review if you barely use the gym and haven't been in for months? Also, 50 people in a 20,000 sq ft facility is not busy so not sure what your complaint is. We have a huge variety of machines and doubles of almost everything. But we also see from your account you are outstanding and probably why you are leaving a negative review. Please contact the gym to make arrangements to pay your account.

Expérience fantastique: Got really good machines and they have multiples of the popular ones which i noticed other gyms dont do. I used to workout here then tried la fitness down the road but it was super depressing in there. Idk how a gym thats in a basement feels wayyy more uplifting than a big gym like LA but it does. Also all the staff are super nice and people that go here are chill and respectful.

Expérience fantastique: Best overall gym in York region. The equipment and leg room were what initially sold me on Body Vision, but eventually, it was the staff and members that kept me coming back. All of the staff and trainers are very friendly and helpful if you ever need anything there is almost always one of the owners on site at any time. Typical members at BV are there to train and it creates a nice atmosphere compared to some other corporate gyms that seem to emphasize the social, lounge type aspect. I've been going to BV for over a year now and I can honestly say that every few months it keeps getting better with new equipment, upgrades, renovations and other little add-ons like extra water fill stations, etc. If something breaks down, it's usually repaired within a week. It can get a little busier during peak times 6-9 pm Mon-Thurs just like most gyms but never really had an issue because there's just so many versions of each piece of equipment and lots of options. My only request would be for some kind of quieter, sectioned off area off the main gym floor for things like stretching, mobility and maybe some posing practice. Other than that, this gym has everything you will need. The owners here really know what it takes to keep the members happy. Well done BV.
