Expérience fantastique: This is, by far, one of the best gyms I’ve been to. In 15 years of training I have visited countless gyms - from independent to corporate - and included in that is many GoodLife locations. The Milani location not only has all the equipment one would expect from a higher quality fitness club, but all equipment is well maintained and well organized through a well-thought out layout across the club itself. The staff is incredible (namely their Assistant General Manager, Brittany, who rightfully has an amazing reputation amongst members at the club for her professionalism and attitude) and the location itself it easy to access. All in all, this club is a must-visit and I definitely recommend making it your regular go-to if possible.

Expérience positive: The manager Lisa is very rude and assumes everyone who gets the 3 day trial is not going to actually join the gym so she pretty much kicks you out and denies you the trial even if you have not been a member in the last 12 months (a clear stated rule). She prefers to make up random bullshit rules and lie to your face that “you can’t get a 3 day pass if you had a membership before” although i repeatedly told her it was NOT within the last 12 months it was a couple years ago and I wanted to try out there sauna which i never did in the past. But she acted like i made that 12 month rule up? Even though it’s in the email THEY sent me. (Screenshot attached) She tries to trick you into buying a membership right there and then. Wasted one hour of my life. GOODLIFE: what is the point of a 3 day trial? Please let LISA know, she’s confused.

Expérience positive: I have an all-club pass and have been in many goodlife facilities around the country. this one is fine - i especially like the open design that allows you to take in the layout in one scan and the openness created by the windows all around. The staff is friendly and the machines and change room are well maintained. One question i have is why is the music in the gym so loud at times? As far as I can tell, the vast majority of members are listening to their own music while working out. I find the loud music coming from the gym speakers often interferes with my listening choice and I am forced to turn the sound up on my device, which is damaging for the ears. I may be wrong, but the music seems more heavy metal than is the case at other clubs. Are the music settings a matter of GoodLife central policy or is the music choice and level set by whoever happens to be working? Some ambient music is, of course, fine but it should never drown out my preferred listening choice. thanks. UPDATE. I don’t find the response to my post very helpful. I understand the music is loud enough to hear. I was hoping you could consider whether that policy sufficiently balances the preferences of your members. I was at the gym today and had to put my device to maximum just to hear the content I prefer. It does not seem fair to leave it up to the individual member to complain to whoever is on duty. Maybe a policy to set the music in the gym about 20 percent lower would be more appropriate and respectful of our individual choices?

Expérience négative: Avoid this location if you can. I’ve been going here for years and finally left after constant frustration. This has to be one of the most poorly managed, filthy, and constantly humid gyms out there. After switching to another gym, the difference is night and day. Too many front desk staff just loiter at the front chatting while the gym floor stays messy and machines remain broken. There are one or two staff with good customer service and competence, but if they’re not in, you’re out of luck. I genuinely feel sorry for the one evening cleaning staff, she works hard cleaning change rooms and wiping down every machine, but it shouldn’t fall on one person. Out of five StairMasters, only one actually works and isn’t missing parts. Basic services like reinstating a paused membership or updating your account information can’t be done here, staff just tell you to call head office after telling you to come in over the phone! It’s clear corporate hasn’t reinvested a dime into maintenance or upgrades, yet they charge the same as far better GoodLife locations like Interchange or Markham. Not worth the money, you’re better off going to Planet Fitness across the street.

Expérience fantastique: Excellent Gym Made Outstanding by Staff Like Marcia! I've been a member at this GoodLife Fitness for a while now, and I can honestly say it's a fantastic gym. The equipment is always in great shape and there's a wide variety to choose from, but the real reason I'm writing this review is to give a special shout-out to an employee named Marcia. Marcia is an absolute superstar and a huge asset to this gym. I've noticed her meticulously cleaning the equipment and change rooms on numerous occasions, and her attention to detail is just incredible. She always has a warm smile and a welcoming attitude when working the front desk.

Expérience négative: Zero stars. Since the onset of summers, air conditioning hasn’t even worked for a single day. I don’t think so management gives a damn about it because I have not received any notice of any repairs being done or if it will ever be fixed.

Expérience négative: I have been going to this gym for 2 years now, and I must say that the overall quality of the gym has fallen off a cliff. The only reason why I have been going here was because it was very close to home, and I would go early in the mornings (Anytime from 4AM to 5AM) to avoid crowds. It's a small gym, with a very limited free weight section. They also only have 5 proper squat racks with 2 of them in their "Personal Training Area", which is off limits for members unless they are with a personal trainer. When I first started going, they used to allow any member to use that area as long as no personal trainers were with a client there. However, recently they have been very strict, and also very rude about the use of the "Personal Training Area" when no trainers or clients are present. So essentially, about 30% of the free weights at this already small gym is off-limits for members at any time of the day. I understand that it is designated for personal training, but I don't understand why they are so rude to people using the weights over there when there is no personal training going on. This had me thinking about how the change in staff over the past 2 years have really gone down hill. I remember when I first joined, the employees there were very nice and welcoming. Now, they're rude, on their phones, and not very helpful for anything. It's sad to see that this is what has become of my local gym, and it seems as though I am not the only person who has this opinion of the gym. That being said, I don't see myself going back to this location in particular. I would much rather get up even earlier to drive to a further location which does not have a space issue, than come here and have to deal with these issues. If you have a GoodLife membership that allows you to go to multiple locations, I recommend you do the same.

Expérience positive: I don't believe in the hype of personal trainers that is until I Invested in level 3 trainer , Christina in this gym (she only works at this gym). I came to her with big baggage of inconsistency with gym, lack of knowledge about why my body was having so much pain all the time and true fear of all things strength training due to history of multiple injuries from work/improper form etc. She held my hand through scary/painful/ emotional movments and was always open to (have back and forth) live feedback and often came up with modified exercises/solutions/body movements to change course and push for a fruitful session. Always impressed me with the caliber of knowledge and willing to share that! She has such positive, warm and kind personality. Promotes mindfulness with each movement. if you are training under her, you will soon learn that she will give her 1000% effort, energy and attention to you. She has a strong background in kinesiology, continues to teach in this field and and has over 10 yrs of experience within this field. I stayed out of gym along wjth other excuses but majorly due to lack of knowledge about my own body, injury prevention and how it can heal through modified strength training plan. I was able to learn through generous and ongoing feedbacks about proper form, how to work through pain, modifying movements for exercises if going through a healing journey from an injury. She was able to reduce my anxiety about a workouts and always attempted to meet me at my level of retention (due to anxiety about workout/re-injury), preparedness (body/pain/injury) and willingness to work through a session. Goal was for me to reduce the fear of these big machines and gain confidence to get back in gym to set own goals. To a certain degree, I did achieve that. But most important lesson and take away was the learning about my own body and different ways I can have prevent injuries and still have a session. Could not have asked for a better teacher! She is professional and she has passion for this. Its a big investment, if you don't my issues I had listed above or even if you do, I feel like signing up with her will get you to your next level and next fitness goal. I am happy I went through this journey with Christina. Ask manager about signing up with her, you will not regret the investment. Wish you an amazing fitness journey ahead. Staff: very friendly, accomodating, friendly smiles, helpful, vigilant of stocking up stuff around the gym. Trainers: respectful. Professional. Ask for plan as you are training. Share the way you learn best, Christina was able to modify her teaching style and approach to setting goals overtime with my learning styles. Location- Pm is busy . Early mornings are best times. Some construction in area but close to highway, tims,walmart and costco. For holidays, this location closes sometimes which also means no personal trainers sessions.

Expérience fantastique: When I joined, initially I was having issues with the membership. The person at the time (Nick) was new and was still getting familiar with the system. He contacted Rob, who had just left for the night. Rob took his time to pull over and facetime me so that he could ensure that I would have a smooth experience with my registration. I've been going to this place for the last couple months and so far its been great. Rob and the team have been extremely friendly and courteous. Thanks again Rob!

She herself has not apologized but tries to say hi to me and act like she didn’t accuse me when I come in. Accountability is important. Teach your staff to be better rather than sweeping things under the rug and whispering about members when they come in to work out. This is not a gossip circle.

Expérience fantastique: I signed up for personal training and recently renewed my contract for another year with my trainer, Emily. With Emily’s fitness and nutrition help, I got to my goal weight within 9 months and I’m excited to see where she takes me next. From day one, she has been punctual, professional, and prepared for every session. But what really sets her apart is how she makes every workout fun and motivating. She explains everything clearly so that I understand the “why” behind what we’re doing. She is very nice but also very tough! Expérience négative: The management team here lacks strong customer service skills. I waited 30 minutes to speak with a manager, but both the assistant manager and the manager completely forgot to follow up. Additionally, some front desk staff show little to no customer service ability. One employee in particular—possibly named Ash—was on his phone constantly and ignored customers entirely. Plus dont ever leave anything here cause the staff just throws your belongings in the garbage and has a joke of a lost and found.

Nihal Sharma was assigned as my personal trainer. It has been an excellent experience. He’s always encouraging, highly knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain the purpose behind each exercise. However, the cleanliness factor can be updated a bit, since I have seen many out of service toilets and some unknown mess in the group fitness studio. Expérience fantastique: I recently signed up for personal training at my gym to improve my physical fitness. Jas was assigned to me as my personal trainer. So far, the results have been splendid. I now have reduced body pains, increased alertness, and strength, just to name a few. Jas has the wealth of experience with demonstrated knowledge of fitness equipment and methods and their safe use to achieve stated objectives. With her professionalism and instant and periodic performance feedback, I'm well on my path to achieving my stated physical health objects. This achievement is due to the untiring efforts of *Jas* , my personal trainer. The gym environment is good with friendly staff. Lots of parking space.

Expérience positive: Good gym with a good location the reason it loses 2 stars is because barely anyone puts thier weights back and expects others to do it. (Entitled people now days). And the second star is because the sauna smells like sweaty ball sack until you have been in there for 15 minutes and get use to it. Seems like it is never cleaned
Expérience négative: I asked politely for the washroom, they asked if I had a membership and refused… I just came out of the hospital - they said go to the subway across the street - that washroom was out of order…so scary and disappointing in this day and age needing a washroom as a sick person I found help at St. Louis bar and grill finally. I totally understand some people may abuse washroom privilege but cmon read your customers.

Expérience négative: Terrible Staff. Pathetic management. There are different rules for different people here. I went to work out in the group class room when no class was being held. I proceeded to do my workout and I heard someone playing the music loudly in the common room where everyone works out. I went up to her and she told me to take it down myself if I had an issue. This wasn't the first time this woman was playing music so loudly. Frustrated, I went to lodge a complain. The front desk people do not help at all. I was felt feeling terrible. Finally the manager came and said that she'd help but to no avail. They allow this kind of misbehavior and bullying. Rules and different for all. The gym too is poorly managed. They don't even have any feedback forms. I asked the front staff for a feedback form and I was given a small random chit to write the complain. Being a big chain a simple feedback form you guys cant keep?

This gym Milani has them both and more Managed by Joanne and her wonderful staff , as soon as you walk into the door you're greeted with Hello or can i help you from their amazing front desk , respectful and always there when you need them not like some other GL locations I've been to, this one Milani has it all ,Clean, polite and the instructors even if you don't have one always take the time to wave and acknowledge your presence giving you a thumbs up or just correcting either the way your doing a lift or using one of their machines, Great atmosphere and well run you feel great after a work out , even on the way out the amazing front desk have a great day or goodnight and see you soon Great Gym even better persons who work and clean there and led by the Charismatic Manager Joanne , Remember to invest in yourself and work out this is the location , To many names to mention thank you and see you next time

Expérience fantastique: I have been to many locations within the GTA but the service I was greeted to by this location was exceptional. Very clean setting where the employees are welcoming and very helpful. One employee in particular (Rob) who I think is the manager was outstanding in situating my friend who was on the ropes on getting a membership while making him feel part of the Goodlife family. All this has made me love this specific location and would recommend this Goodlife to everyone. PS he gave me a free water bottle :)

Expérience fantastique: Being that my business has me driving all over the city, I’ve been to many GoodLife locations. The Milani location, by far is the cleanest. Joanne and her staff work well together. The equipment is well maintained, always functional and clean. Easy floor layout with a wide range of machines along with a comfortable atmosphere. Music volume is perfect, cleaning stations are always maintained. I haven’t taken any classes, but they are always full to capacity, which to me says that the instructors are well trained to meet everyone’s training goals. All in all, to Joanne and her staff, well done on your consistency and improvements.

Expérience négative: Very disappointing last workout of the year as Leeza was asking members to leave earlier than the closing time on New Year’s Eve. She had also wrongly accused another member of not putting weights away when they clearly had. Very disappointed with this lack of professionalism.

Expérience fantastique: Convenient location if you live or work near Woodbridge. The gym is well equipped but it gets crowded in the mornings, sometimes all the machines are being used at the same time. The personnel is very nice and the machines are well maintained. it’s located in the Adidas building and it has plenty of free parking spots. It opens 24 hours, so it can accommodate your schedule.

Expérience négative: **Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Behavior at GoodLife Fitness** I had a terrible experience at GoodLife Fitness(this location) that made me question the environment that is allowed in the gym. While I was about to use the chest butterfly machine, another member aggressively approached me, shouting, "Can't you see my stuff here?" even though he was using a different machine at the time and his stuff was placed between the butterfly machine and another machine next to the butterfly. I even waited for a few minutes initially to see if anyone was actually using that machine. His tone and behavior was completely unacceptable, rude, and intimidating. Am I allowed to block 4-5 machines the same way he did by keeping my stuff next to machines and then come back at members in an intimidating way? What made it worse is that when I reported the incident to the staff right away, they did absolutely nothing! It was as if they didn’t care at all about creating a safe and respectful environment for their members. The staff's lack of action was shocking, and it felt like they condone this kind of behavior. It’s disappointing that a gym like GoodLife, which prides itself on community and wellness, allows such hostile behavior to go unchecked. If this is how they handle issues between members, I’ll be reconsidering where I spend my money. One should strive to develop the congnitive ability to recognize the basic decency expected of a human being. Thanks for spoiling my day!

I must thank him for his kindness when we first approached the gym and for introducing us to different fitness trainers....:) I started my personal training with KARAN about a month ago, and he has proven to be an incredibly knowledgeable person. I feel fortunate to have found such a dedicated fitness trainer at Good Life. Karan is more than just a trainer; he helps us understand the importance of diet and workouts. He has been a great source of motivation for me to attend the gym regularly, especially boosting my confidence after just a few weeks of his training. Expérience négative: I went to this Goodlife location during a busy time, around 5pm and it absolutely stank. I have a bad sense of smell but I knew I had to get out of there. It's a lower ceiling and just smells foul. I'll never go to this location again

Expérience négative: The worst place—they don’t know how to control the temperature or ventilation inside, and most of the time, the equipment is broken. The cable machine needs maintenance as it’s not as smooth as the one they use in personal training sessions. It’s also very congested compared to all the other GoodLife locations in Ontario.
