Expérience négative: This place is such a joke. I signed up for the monthly membership as I knew I wouldn’t be here for the full year and would need to cancel at some point and didn’t want to get stuck with unnecessary cancellation fees. When I spoke with the reception today the gentleman at the desk was in the middle of eating his McDonalds wrap and drinking his coffee. He noted I would have to paid the next month of the membership, I was expecting to be given 30 days notice and only paying for a partial month. However, I was informed that not only do I have to pay the whole next months membership fees, I am also required to pay the full amount of the annual fees as this was coming up, even though I will not be here from June onwards. This annual fee is apparently meant to keep the equipment in good working order, and yet the equipment is constantly breaking and no one seems to be doing anything to fix it, and often pieces of equipment can be out for an extended period of time. I paid for the premium membership for the classes, however there is only 1-2 hours of classes a day usually 2 1-hour classes or 2-half hour classes and 1 1-hour class. On some occasions there are no classes. I highly recommend joining any other gym than Crunch in Gravenhurst.

Expérience négative: Honestly this place was great when I joined in 2022, but it’s fallen into disrepair. I had the back squat machine break while I was using it, slamming down on my right shoulder and pinning me underneath. They don’t repair machines that malfunction, things like the hand dryer are broken for months. Cardio equipment is regularly out of order. If you can, drive to orillia or bracebridge so you don’t get injured by the equipment breaking…

Expérience fantastique: This is my go to drop in gym when I’m in the area. If I lived in Gravenhurst, this would definitely be my gym. It’s big, bright & clean. Love the equipment and atmosphere! A place where I could definitely call home! Staff are great also!!! Definitely recommend

If you're looking for a gym with a great atmosphere, a strong sense of community, and a place where you’ll always feel motivated, this is the spot!

Expérience négative: their training is uneducated in conditions such as Parkinsons. They charged me for two months of training after I stopped. I was never provided with a contact or receipts. I found this to be really suspicious and also the gym is filthy.

Expérience positive: great low cost gym, I wish they wouldn't put news on the TVs in the morning, its hard to workout and not notice the screens (no news is actually pleasant)

Expérience négative: Terrible customer service and they don't respond to emails. Trying to cancel my membership as I am in a different province and I get no response to emails sent. When you phone in they say that you need to cancel in person, I'm over 2000kms away, or email the owner... who then doesn't respond. Find a more honest gym to join and stay far away from Crunch in Gravenhurst

Expérience négative: Read your contract carefully. You will not get any grace when you cancel your membership. Very frustrating process to cancel, you have to cancel in person or I presume they invoice for eternity. Dissatisfied barely describes how taken advantage I feel, I paid $246 in total, yet never ever went to this facility to work out. You would think that the ownership would check this, instead they charged me another monthly rate in order to cancel. Very deceptive advertising and impossible cancellation policy.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym! Great value! Especially for a smaller town like Gravenhurst. It has everything you need to get a great workout. The staff is very friendly. Most impressive is how clean it is. Both the workout floor and the washroom/ change rooms. I had been in here on a day pass when they first opened 2 years ago and I was back in town and this time I got a 1-month pass. I was very impressed that everything looks as clean and well maintained as it did 2 years ago.

Expérience positive: Crunch Gravenhurst and my trainer Sean provide an exceptional service. Several months now working with Sean has really improved my strength and balance. He mixes it up, yet really helps you build. He pays very close attention to each movement and suggests micro changes which make a big difference. A great investment!

Expérience positive: Great gym. Lots of space. Expanded hours would make it great. The weekend hours are limited and inconvenient if you work any kind of shift work. Update: they recently increased their weekend hours and it's much more shift work friendly. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Expérience négative: Crunch Fitness is trash. They give people the run around and bury you in fees. Crunch forced my wife to go into the gym when she was very sick (covid) just to cancel. They were clearly informed via phone call. They then tried to say there was something wrong with the phone line... there wasnt, it was tested thoroughly. So as to not get charged for another 30days, she went in. Then they told her they were going to charge her for another 30 days... She's sick, and when she signed up she paid extra to not be charged a cancellation fee! On top of the fact that she was told she isnt the only person that has come in upset about hidden policy Not in total... THIS WEEK! Steer clear of this garbage gym. Unsanitary and they leech you for every dollar they can! *Edit*. I have emailed you back. We also expect to be reimbursed for the extra 30 days she was charged. Ill be in to speak about it this week. This is the email i have sent. - This is not true. Many others then myself have had issues with the staff and care taken with Crunch Gravenhurst. There was ZERO confusion, with your policy. The staff at Crunch Gravenhurst have been giving us the "the run around". Not one single employee cleans; on top of the fact that my wife was forced to go in and cancel... WHEN SHE HAD COVID. She had applied for a membership that was done specifically to avoid extra fees. Then she's charged for a full 30 DAYS!!??? Simply because she wanted to cancel??? Crunch Gravenhurst WILL be hearing more about this, unless she is reimbursed. Then to try and PUBLICLY down play everything just to make a display? Also deleting any comments (of which were not vulgar, just opinion). Crunch Gravenhurst needs to straighten this out IMMEDIATELY

Expérience négative: There's no sanitizer in those bottle, smells of just water... No one washes their machines after, this should be enforced by staff. Gravenhurst is already dirty enough town.. buddy will just sit behind the desk pretending to be on the phone just clicking buttons on the computer as you wait for 5 minutes to get the massage chair turned on.. was in the area for the holidays and will definitely never go back there. Go to snap fitness in Bracebridge.

Expérience négative: It’s a fine gym, I just wish they had more flexible hours. Bracebridge's gym is open 24 hrs, but it’s not ideal to drive there just to use the gym at night. They just don’t have late hours at all, the latest is 10pm, maybe if they were open later it wouldn’t be so packed during the evenings and mornings. They also close at 5pm on Sunday’s which is more than a disappointment, they should be hiring staff that are available at night as well as other times of the day. The gym used to be a great place but not now with the whole place packed full of people because of how little they’re open. Note: I also just called the gym 4 times to see if the closing time is correct, but at 4:20pm there’s no answer, aren’t you supposed to start closing at 5, not 40 minutes before? I’m very disappointed in the lack of communication, customer service and hours of operation. For the price we pay we should be getting a lot more.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been traveling all over the US and Canada, and Crunch-Gravenhurst is definitely one of my favorite gyms I’ve been to. Never too busy, great layout, CLEAN, all the equipment I could need for stretching/cardio/weight training, and even though it’s not the biggest Crunch I’ve seen, it feels so spacious. Clean locker rooms/spacious lockers. I have not tried any of their fitness classes. I look forward to coming back again.

Expérience fantastique: The staff, facility and classes are of the caliber that I’ve experienced from many high-end gyms. This one comes with an unexpectedly low monthly fee though. Lyndsay, Carrie, Diana and Adam are some of the most caring, smiling faces that you’d want to greet you at the gym each day - as if you’re family. There’s a nice variety of classes that match my work schedule, clean change rooms and lots of equipment that you won’t have to wait for. I’ve personally recommended this gym to many of my friends and colleagues.

Expérience positive: Great gym, good equipment. Only issue is the hours. Working all day and having to commute limits my availability to get a workout in. Weekends are pretty much a no go anymore for me, and as someone who tries to get a workout in 5-6 days of the week I am pretty limited and much schedule myself around the gym's hours. Would love a 24 hour system similar to fitforless, would make life much better.

Expérience positive: Gym is fine. You get what you pay for. Some broken equipment that hasn’t been fixed since the summer, like the stair masters. Front desk staff is hit or miss. Friendly if they look up from their phones. Personal trainer is definitely a step above all of them, in terms of people skills, she is lovely. Coming from other gyms, I did notice that management team comes across as a bit snooty. It’s as if they know they’re the only gym in town, and they don’t have to be overly friendly, because what other choice do you have? That was disappointing to see, but they aren’t wrong.

Expérience négative: I got told by one of the lady staff members to stop slamming my weights down, when it slammed once. She made it seem like I was intentionally slamming weights. Some of us people goto the gym to workout with intensity and don’t sit around playing with our phones. This is the reason why I won’t want to purchase a membership with this gym, and probably the last time going here, it just ruined my whole experience. The Crunch in Orillia has more of an understanding atmosphere when it comes to weightlifting and bodybuilding.

Expérience négative: No different than any other 'globo gym' I've been too!. Front desk staff are always busy in their own conversations to greet/acknowledge you as you come in. Functional Fitness area is a joke, equipment is pretty beat up for being a new facility. And after 1 month when I wanted to cancel.my membership, they slap you with an 'annual fee'. Not impressed!

Expérience négative: I got sick shortly after I joined the club. The owner agreed to me not coming in to formally cancel my membership as I was very ill. You still have to physically go in to cancel your gym membership even in 2022 The owner agreed verbally on the phone to charge 3$ month until I felt better to come in (so nice of her) Unfortunately this is not what happened. The monthly fees continued at 25$ month plus 50$ fee that was also a surprise to me. Read the fine print on all contracts is a lesson learned lol. No one mentioned the 50$ when I signed up either! I suggest going through the contract with your customer to make sure they understand. So .. I contacted the gym via email after I reviewed my cc bills. I wanted refund obviously. The gyms owner has denied (avoided) the conversation that we had on the phone when I was sick or did she forget ??? So at the end I’m getting no refund and I still need to go in to the gym in person and upset given the situation. I’m so shocked and disappointed. I truly am saddened. I don’t like giving negative reviews to any business but I feel that this was warranted. I felt taken advantage of and made to feel crazy like imagined the call we had. I think in this day in age your word means something but I guess I’m wrong? They can keep the money it’s not worth it anymore. I don’t have proof she is right. Expérience fantastique: Tucked away just off the main street in Gravenhurst is a hidden gem. Crunch Fitness. A clean environment hosted by friendly staff. The facility has a wide array of equipment with multiple machines for every muscle, a great free weight area and a secluded space for classes. The changerooms are large and fully equipped.

Expérience négative: Save your money! The biggest scam! Called and canceled my membership 3 months ago. Payment continued to be taken from my account. Called 6 different time to speak to a manager who finally called me back to 2 months later at her convenience. The trainers there are not qualified, had to stop my workout and call and ambulance after trainer pushed client to collapse. Gym is dirty and extremely out dated.

Great old school hammerstrength and precor bodybuilding equipment and awesome turf strip, with a great class area and more then enough cardio equipment. (The hoist equipment is the smoothest) Great variety. Totally start coming if your in the area they have something for everyone!!!!!

After a few years hoping from gym to gym, it has been refreshing to find an affordable gym with great staff and owner, who listen to feedback and are dedicated to making a great place to workout. Carrie (the owner) is amazing, and setup a great gym. If you live in or are visiting Muskoka, you cannot find a better place to workout.

Expérience fantastique: My husband and I are so happy that this facility is open! We've been to multiple gyms in the area, but ultimately, we prefer Crunch, especially their membership prices. I don't believe that fitness should be expensive so they are perfectly priced. Carrie has been super sweet each time we've seen her, and she's done so well with the gym despite Covid restrictions having thrown a wrench into everything. The facility is clean, and well maintained. The machines and free weights are perfect for whatever kind of workout you need. There's even turf and a sled, so there's some fun to be had!

It is large, spacious and has tons of machines and weights to use, and I keep noticing all the constance upgrades and new equipment, so nice to see a gym making constant investments into its self. Lindsay and the manager (I did not catch her name) are amazing! Super friendly and helpful. The gym itself is out of this world. Literally everything you will need. I am a semi professional bodybuilder from Markham and was fired up with the selection!

Expérience fantastique: I was so surprised that when I emailed on their first registration day that I got a response! My request was quickly and thoroughly addressed. Great customer service They're open now! The facility is large and well set up and the staff are super friendly. Lots of equipment. Carrie went above and beyond to help me with a change to my membership and made sure I knew what was going on at every step.
