It's like stepping into a gym in Cali. If you're looking to start training strictly in BJJ, or sharpen what you already know, look no further than Academia. Even if you have some first time anxiety, I promise you will have a blast and will be well taken care of when it comes to training. Expérience fantastique: I started here a little over a year ago. I just walked in by myself for a free trial. The quality of coaching I’ve experienced from Steve and Jeff in terms of Gi and no gi techniques has been awesome. The atmosphere and friendships gathered on the mats has made training bjj so much better! The positive vibes coming from everyone at the club makes all the hard days a bit easier!

Expérience fantastique: If you have a child who is interested in martial arts, you won't find a better program in the Grimsby/Beamsville/Lincoln area than Academia BJJ. Head instructor Steve Camara is fantastic with his students. He has a humble attitude, and is incredibly warm and welcoming. In class he keeps the kids working hard but always having fun while challenging them. He teaches details. It is not just a workout to send your child home tired, or a babysitting service. Kids learn technical points of BJJ to build the foundation they will need if they pursue it as they grow up. Students are required to pay attention and be respectful to one another. The kids get to challenge themselves and one another with fun games, that reinforce foundational BJJ positions and movements. I've been involved in martial arts for 20 years and can say it's not often you'll find a kids jiu jitsu program as good as this.
