Expérience fantastique: The staff and the gymgoers here are all great people. The price is on the higher end, but for what else is available in town, it's pretty well justified and represents a good value. I think if you place importance on the quality of your workout, there isn't a better place to be. The gym is exceptionally clean as well.

Expérience négative: I have a week off for the holidays and I decided to try out a few of the big gyms over my break. I came into Athletic Kulture today to try out their facility and I got rejected. They are keeping the gym to members only for this day, nothing was posted online or on their social media about this. I drove over an hour and a half to get here and now I have to drive all the way back. I respect reducing the gym to members only keep out all the “new years resolutions” or whatever but at least publicly display it so I don’t have to waste my time. Hopefully I can enjoy this gym in the near future.

Expérience négative: Terrible customer service, never reply their emails , can't speak to anyone management wise in person "everything is done online " there's no way to cancel my membership without having them reply my email(how convenient), have been trying to get a hold of someone through email and in person for over a month , for the amount of money they bring in you'd think their facilities would be better reshape , equipment is worn and faulty and they never care to replace it .

Expérience positive: I currently have a membership paying $15/month at the purple and yellow place (you know which one) and for various reasons I wanted to try something different and better suited to me. I bought a day pass to AK and Amy at the front desk was pleasant and answered all my questions and was happy to help. When I first walked onto the workout floor I couldn't help but feel really intimidated by all the machines and intermediate gym goers (and I'm not a newby at a gym but I'm also not the bodybuilder type either) just to put things into perspective. That feeling wore off pretty quickly as I got acclimated to the new/better vibe and environment. I must say that I was super impressed about the cleanliness of the gym and the men's lockerroom, better than any other gym I've been to. The only gripe I have and reason why I rated it a 4 star instead of 5 is obviously due to the price of $100/month with no other membership level to choose from. I do understand it is a business and it's obvious the membership prices reflect the quality of amenities and machines, I just wished you guys had a lower level option that didn't include, say, towel service and tanning for example and making the bi-weekly fee $35 (or even $75 monthly). A lot of pros for sure but I'd love to see more membership options with less amenities included. I asked about getting a few friends together and joining AK to see if that would lower the cost but apparently it changed and that discount is now only for people who live at the same residence now. All in all, it's a top notch gym and community I'd love to be a member at someday, I just hope there will be a promotion in the near future to be able to join. Keep up the good work AK!

Expérience fantastique: I was a member at La Fitness for 8 + years before making the switch to AK. The music is insanely GOOD, even better than my own! AK is a clean, dark, cool air conditioned place with ample space to perform. This kukture is “in the zone hard working”. You don’t see too many people standing around you see everyone working hard on their own goals and that’s what I love. At first I was intimated of working at Ak because of all the equipment, but the staff and everyone at AK help make you comfortable and make the transition so easy. I can not stress enough how amazing this gym is, they literally have everything to help take you from mediocre to extraordinary. 24/7 gym makes it even easier and takes the worry away. Make the switch today you will not be disappointed!

Expérience fantastique: First time there today, Staff was so kind from when I entered and got me a $34 day pass. I was only here for a day, everyone in the gym seemed nice and super switched on. I recorded few clips of my content and it was easy to navigate the gym and it’s so huge.. amazing equipments, lots of space and they even had a posing room. When I left the staff was so kind and warmed up my post workout meal. I even took advantange of their supp shop and got some cream of rice. this is the gym you wanna be a member of if u live in the area. Will def be back

Expérience fantastique: I love everything about this gym. The staff is always amazing and helpful, the smoothie bar is 24/7! It is a huge gym so even during peak hrs you're able to find a nice spot to work out. The atmosphere is really motivating and professional, you really wanna be there everyday.

Expérience fantastique: Outstanding gym with outstanding staff. Always brining in new equipment and keeping things up to date. Wide variety of supplement’s and snacks. If you’re in before 6am, Jordan is a great way to start your day, always smiles and positivity!

Expérience négative: You can’t workout anywhere in the gym without someone being within 4-6ft of you, until recently upstairs allowed more space now they have more equipment upstairs eliminating the ability to use free weights if someone is using said equipment. When I first joined I loved it, the cafe was reasonably priced and offered breakfast and healthy snacks now it’s just sweets and dinner meals (unfortunately now it’s pretty expensive $18 for a meal). They had classes in the green room which is no longer a thing as they only lasted a very short period. If you don’t have any regard for personal space and enjoy using lots of different machines then this gym would work for you as long as you don't mind strategically navigating around the equipment especially when it’s in use as it will come into your walking path. There’s minimal room for stretching due to equipment overload, people workout on the stretching turf often which I don’t blame them for as there’s ZERO opportunity to have personal space even off of peak times. They're also only open 24/7 when it’s not a holiday/long weekend which is a huge downside for shift workers, compared to other 24/7 gyms. Their definition of “24/6” during holidays if offering very limited hours on holidays and the days just before. But I will say it’s a very clean gym.

Expérience fantastique: This past weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Athletic Kulture Barrie for a 3 day pass, like any (in)sane person would given the opportunity I went each one of those 3 days (twice a day) to get the most out of this experience and hit everything I could, To say my expectations were met is a understatement, from the variety of machines to clean gym and professional atmosphere I was beyond impressed, the gym’s equipment choices were clearly made not by just a company trying to open a gym but a team of experienced athletes who know what machines your average lifter wants. The supplement store and upper mezzanine area with cardio equipment, a quieter free weights zone and “posing room” are additions to AK that bring this facility one step above the rest, If you are in Barrie I would 100% recommend checking out this amazing facility, I know I look forward to making it a regular part of my fitness routine,

Expérience négative: Regret to give one star. Coz i loved this gym. Been with them for few years. Had an incident 2-3 days ago where a new roommate used my membership card without my knowledge twice. I called the gym the next day and wrote an email explained them. But they still decide to ban me instead. Expected management to be a little understanding. Even offered to pay them for 2 day passes for the time he used my card. I know it’s against rule but it happened when i wasn’t even aware about it. Thankyou

Expérience fantastique: Easily my favorite gym in the gta/simcoe area! It has its flaws but if it wasn't for the great staff, environment and equipment i’d probably give it a 4. Some consecutive criticism; The saunas are pretty bad, too cold and too small, mens one has been broken for month's. Definitely a residential sauna, not meant for commercial use imo. Not enough water fountains/warm water (nbd tbh) Biggest issue being the Prices, i miss the $60 basic plan and $80 for the tanning/towel’s. Considering a lot of ppl don't tan and shower at home, or bring a towel (like my self) it doesn't seem worth it. Luckily i got it at a good deal back in early days but my gf wont join because $100 a month is a little much considering the cost to hit macros is already insane now a days

Expérience fantastique: I've been working out at AK since they opened and have been loving it! I worked out here comfortably during my whole pregnancy and have returned now post partum. My son has been attending their youth care since he was 4 months old, this was the first place I ever left him without family and has been loving every second of it. I always pick him up with a big smile on his face and the girls make you feel so comfortable with leaving your baby there!

It's a club with a lot of very strong athletes who are just looking to get social and work out. Big names like Mitchell hooper, whom I worked out with once before. Expérience fantastique: Personal Training scared me….like terrified me…. I’ve been going to the gym off and on since 2012, I started actively and consistently going about 2 years ago as much as I could with the lockdowns and motivating myself with weights I bought to use at home. While I was seeing progress I was feeling like it should be more due to how often I’m going. I’m a newer member to AK and part of that is this gym, these owners not only value it’s members but have the most variety of equipment I’ve ever seen in a gym… the atmosphere alone is indescribable. AK started offering their 3 sessions promo for $149.99. And I could have started with that. But the voice in the back of my mind pushed me to inquire about their full packages. So I did just that. I set my appointment originally with someone else who was unavailable, but the front desk staff made sure I was taken care of. I met Paula and I don’t know if she could sense my uncertainty or nervousness about what I was doing but she was super informative and not pushy at all. I remember her saying “ You can’t put a price tag on your health “. And thinking you don’t know my finances but even with thinking that I knew now was the time and signed up with her. You can view her videos on Instagram and she looks sweet and innocent and while she is very sweet and such a caring person. She understands that I don’t want someone who will let me put in half the effort when I come in for my sessions. She pushes me to show myself what I am capable of. Yes she directs the workouts we are doing and she WILL put more weight on without you even seeing her do it. But she knows. The best part is if you let her do it after you finish doing the set she is your biggest hype girl and cheers after! She is so uplifting and I can’t thank her enough for working with me towards my goals!! I highly recommend anyone who is on that fence to jump with both feet! You will thank yourself for it!! Outside of having Paula as a trainer the staff there are your biggest fans they will be there to support you when you’re not having the best of days and hype you up. I joined in January 2022 and since then have gone from 44” in my waist down to 36”. They also have pre-packaged lunches which are so tasty and healthy!! You know what you are eating and it’s great way to help stay on track!! Most meals are around $15 but honestly the quality is soooo worth the price and you spend that on McDonald’s anyway which doesn’t fuel your body!! If you’re looking for a gym this is the place !! I can’t leave a second review. So I will just update my original. I’ve had to reach out to Todd for many various needs. And he is always more than understanding and compassionate when helping members!! You won’t get this kind of service from a corporate gym. Or any gym that doesn’t truly care for their members. So if you’re sitting on the fence or up in the air regarding pricing. The equipment is always state of the art and maintained. And the staff specially Todd are always there for us. It’s a community. And that’s all that matters when it comes to your fitness journey

Although it is run by horrible staff and the owner is no better (tod) far to many groups of teenagers and people who think they’re influencers lol if getting an undisturbed work out is your thing skip this gym entirely !

Been a member for quite a while now and when I first joined everything was wonderful I enjoy the new equipment and the services provided by the gym but when it comes to making any contact to front staff through the day I can understand they may be busy or even understaffed but have been talked to rudly in the past and now again today when calling about updated hours as I just wanted to see if they were back open today after knowing their hours changed for the holidays.(which I can totally understand) before I was even able to get a single word in edge wise of even asking if they were back open I was hung up on with no second attempt of communication if it was a connection issue example " hello I can't hear anything is anyone there" but instead was just abruptly hung up on not even seconds after their trained " hello this is athletic kulture how can I help you". Really wish it was easier to talk to day staff night staff I've always had a wonderful time with but idk if just young impatient kids working during the day or whats going on but it's been getting a lot worse and making the experience of the gym quite frustrating.

Expérience fantastique: Honestly, Thee Best Gym I have ever had the pleasure of Training at- Firstly- The Equipment at the Gym is just Next Level... There are soooo many machines all in perfect order- Placement and working order. The Bench Area, The Squat Racks. OOOO, Please, people, utilise this place! You's are so fortunate that people care enough to provide a place like this for you to come and better yourself!! It will facilitate your growth for sure! There is plenty of space!! And Even if it is a lil busier- Everyone is friendly & considerate of each other... The Moment you walk through the door- The Atmosphere hits You! A Serious place- Full of Serious people! Seriously lovely people! The Staff are Welcoming & Always helpful! Especially Sandra, she deserves a raise, she's such a love. I wasn't treat any different for not being a local... And its been a while since I've been able to be myself with no judgement...I am guna miss this place!! There is some actual real life inspirations in that Gym! To me, it is an environment that truly helped me better myself and introduced me to some amazing individuals!! I am really grateful to of had the opportunity to train in the same place as some of the most modest mountains I've ever met!!! Couldn't of had a better experience there! Expérience positive: Was in the area and wanted to get a workout in, so decided to pay the 50 dollars for a day pass. Yes I think that is a little over priced, but the gym itself has a ton of great equipment and lots of space. Cool, unique atmosphere upstairs in the personal training area (that is open for members to use at anytime which not all gyms do so that's nice). The staff there is very accommodating and friendly. They do have additional accessory equipment (i.e denser foam rollers, weight belts for pull ups, TRX among others) at the front desk if you ask for them which is always appreciated. I was a little disappointed they decided to remove the gymnastic rings though, since I saw them in one of the display photos while checking out their website and assumed they had them. Change rooms are pretty good, but one of the lockers I left my things in wouldn't actually stay shut and I realized that when I went to grab something from my bag mid workout. Having hooks near in the shower area to be able to hang your towel or shower bag would be a nice to see. I was a bit disappointed at the state of the infrared sauna in the men's change room though, looks like it hasn't had a deep clean in a very long time and doesn't smell the greatest. Would visit this gym again, very close to 5 stars, just a few things need to be addressed and I would happily change the rating (:

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been to a few big brand chain gyms and small independents over the years and I have to say… nothing compares to Athletic Kulture. The physical size of the gym, the variety of equipment, cleanliness, and staff cannot be beat by anything I’ve experienced. I’ve met some amazing people here both staff and patrons. I can honestly say I’m “home”. As someone who doesn’t fit the “fitness mould” I can say it doesn’t matter how “fit” or “not” you are. You are welcome, accepted, and loved here. People look out for you, and cheer on your progress. I worked out here for a full year before signing up with my trainer Geoff, and he has taken me to the next level of my progress! I don’t have enough great words to say…Five stars is not enough.

Expérience fantastique: I recently booked a tour of Athletic Kulture due to the various machines that most other gyms don’t have. During my visit I was greeted by Jonathan, who took the time to fully explain the gyms philosophy, ask me what my needs were and offer the best way to succeed with the tools that AK has to offer. I was hesitant to join at first but after a few workouts I am so glad I did. Everyone in this club is there for the same purpose. To better themselves and have a good time doing it. I’ve asked many people questions, tips and advice and have always been helpfully answered! To some this gym may appear intimidating but I promise you that is not the case. Nobody is judging you, if anything they’re going to want to help you! I have a hefty goal to achieve in order to save my health and I know once I can afford the PT sessions down the road that the amazing trainers will help me doing so. I recommend this gym ten times over. Keep doing what you do, AK!

What I got was exactly that, the equipment, the atmosphere, the layout and the people really make 24/7 Athletic Kulture one of a kind! I want to say a special thanks to Sandra Henry for being so nice and helpful through the process and I'm happy to be ringing in the new year in such a great place. Expérience positive: Great atmosphere and great equipment. My kiddo loves the youth center and I'm happy they're open most evenings and weekends. I've seen a trainer, Ryan Cooney, there for 6 months to get me used to the gym and it's equipment, assist me with form, techniques, and push me further with my gym goals. He's been super great! Honestly, I wouldn't be doing as well as I am without him! In fact, I know I wouldn't be! He's super calm, knowledgeable, supportive, and can make ya laugh after pushing through those last few sets when the floor is looking mighty comfortable! If you're looking for a trainer at AK for any lifestyle and/or gym goals, I 100% reccommend Ryan! I've really appreciated my time at AK and the people I've met through its community. So thank you!! The only reason it's not a 5 star, is communication for changes could be improved.

Expérience fantastique: Awesome gym! Staff is great especially their trainer Dale. He’s extremely friendly, personable and cares for his clients. He’s formed long lasting relationships with clients that have turned into friendships. He’s a wealth of knowledge and can train anyone from beginner to advanced. If you’re thinking of a trainer, I definitely recommend Dale!

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been to most gyms in barrie but find that athletic culture is by far the best gym I have set foot in, cleanliness, atmosphere, equipment is all top tier Those looking for personal training I cannot recommend Jordan Austin enough, wether knew to the gym or experienced his vast knowledge on training, nutrition and programming will take you where you want to go. He’s incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and would explain the reasoning behind what he was getting me to do, easily the best personal trainer I’ve been with, you will not be let down

Expérience fantastique: Athletic Kulture is by far the most well equipped gym in the area. The facility is beyond amazing with a huge variety of machines, cardio equipment and other features you can’t find in other gyms (dedicated posing room). The staff and members are friendly, supporting, encouraging. Sandra at the front desk makes my day a little brighter whenever I see her, she goes above and beyond for the members! Highly recommend this gym to everyone at all fitness levels.

Also got to see a few familiar faces...most notably my dude DALE AKA Savage Physique....if anyone is looking for a trainer to get you right....make sure you hit him up at the gym....you wont be disappointed

Expérience fantastique: i am new to this gym and it has been nothing short of an amazing experience. The front desk staff are welcoming and helpful! Dale one of the trainers there showed me around the gym, made me feel encouraged and overall excited to be apart of this awesome place! His uplifting spirits and positivity shines through and made me feel so comfortable - as the gym hasn’t always felt like the most comfortable place for me. overall 10/10 and would recommend to anyone and everyone I know!
