Expérience négative: Went here with my partner to see if we wanted to get a membership. The gym is not clean. Too many staff at the front desk and not enough staff cleaning. Bathrooms were disgusting with garbage all over the floor. Reeked of sewage it was gross.

Expérience négative: As a loyal GoodLife Fitness member, I’m extremely disappointed with how little they value their members. When I called to cancel my membership, I was told it could be done immediately without penalty. Now I’m being told otherwise, with no flexibility or exceptions—even for loyal members like myself. They also refuse to pause memberships under any circumstances, which shows a complete lack of consideration. Given their 1/5 rating on the Better Business Bureau, it’s clear I’m not the only one dealing with these issues. I’ll be moving to Planet Fitness, where members are treated with more respect and fairness. I can’t recommend GoodLife to anyone.

To clarify, we do offer the option to freeze a bi-weekly or monthly membership. For paid-in-full memberships, freezes are currently available with our Ultimate or Performance plans. A 1-month notice is required to cancel for bi-weekly or monthly memberships, and with paid-in-full 1-year memberships, the membership is fixed for the year.

Expérience négative: Worst staff I have ever dealt with, I told them I don’t need a trainer be he insisted and would not take no for an answer and became aggressive, then they had screwed up my account and double charged me. I had enough and cancelled my membership without even one visit to GoodLife for a workout, I told them to cancel my account witch they did not and charged me again and again causing me to have 2 NSF in my account of 96 dollars which they will not return. Hanse the reason I only put enough money in this account to keep rip off artists from helping them self. Not bad cost me over 300 dollars to have a one month membership.

Expérience négative: Staff are stupid and the manager revoked my membership cause his he was mad at himself and taking his anger out on me for no reason. Gym is also overpriced and a scam. They hire staff to clean for less than minimum wage cause they are too lazy to do it themselves. Switch to planet fitness for a better experience and price. Very disappointing at goodlife.

Expérience positive: I did the 6 session personal training package, absolutely loved it and my PT, Kam, super super kind and very motivated and supportive, long term is extremely expensive tho, not very affordable and it's a shame for those who are super committed but can't because of how pricy it is. the price in general for memberships is expensive compared to other gyms with the same benefits and perks. the front desk staff are nice but aren't super knowledgeable of anything else than signing up for a membership, and wouldn't let anyone speak to a manager even when they couldn't answer our questions. Some staff are also super rude, as i heard some talk negatively about other clients to other staff members, behind their backs on multiple different occasions. and it's super unprofessional and disrespectful, also makes some clients and those using the gym uncomfortable to hear how they speak negatively about their members. the gym itself tho is a nice place, and same with the class instructors and classes are enjoyable

After being informed that I could visit other GoodLife locations, including the Lasalle Branch, 12 times as a member of GoodLife Regent Street Sudbury, I was denied access to the Lasalle Branch and told to pay for its use. The staff member on duty, Karen, did not handle the situation well, and I had to drive back to GoodLife Regent for another 30 minutes. I will not be returning to any GoodLife branches in the future and will instead choose to support the YMCA

Expérience positive: Good gym, lots of equipment and nice staff. Clean but garbages are often full and overflowing and paper towel dispensers are often empty and not refilled to the point that I've come to expect it. Some equipment also uses rubber handles and a few of them are not glued properly and roll when you grab them. Not really any other negatives, sauna is rarely out of order and lots of showers. Good for all kinds of training no matter what you like to do and in the two years I've been coming here I've never met someone who wasn't kind and respectful

Expérience positive: I go to goodlife on lasalle multiple times a week and it is a well maintained gym. It is quite busy when I go but if I wait a few minutes in-between workouts, I'll generally get the machine I am looking for. The sauna is not the greatest and it tends to break down every few months but at least they have one. If it wasn't for the location and mediocre price, I'd probably go workout somewhere else.

For those who are new and hesitant to go, yes it can be intimidating because it is busy but remember that everyone is busy doing their own thing and that no one is judging you

Expérience négative: This club needs new staff! Cleaning and management! This building and club is brand new and is in terrible shape! It’s filthy! Only took a few pics but you can see years of grime built up on everything! This isint the pattern on the tile it’s filth and grime! A facility this size needs a full cleaning staff working periodically throughout the day! It’s been mentioned before! Customer service isint great either! Rude, short, abrasive. Come on goodlife bring it back to that gold standard! If Patch went on a tour of this facility he’d close it down!

Expérience négative: Honestly really nice gym and big with a sauna, massage chairs, a women’s section etc but way tooo pricy!! Like a gym shouldn’t cost almost a $100 for a month’s membership, im trying to be fit not broke. So yeah I’d consider other gyms just because of that price tag.

She was yelling at me and said you will be charge again either I am using GYM or not. I will not recommend anyone to use it. Better to use other GYM.

Expérience fantastique: The place is definitely one of the nicer gyms I've been too, and not just because of the location but the community as a whole. Super friendly staff, any inquiries or problems are usually resolved right away, and you can expect to get some nice chats in between sets if that's your cup of tea. The fact that the front of the gym is a wall of glass just adds to the ambience of the workouts. Would definitely recommend to visitors and old and new GoodLife faithfuls alike!

Expérience négative: Travelled to Sudbury for work and came to this gym to continue my workout schedule. This is a terrible GoodLife location. There’s definitely no gym etiquette here. People that use the gym don’t care and it shows. People don’t put the weights back properly, nobody wipes down the equipment after each use, the change rooms are a mess, some of the weights are old and cracked…. The list goes on and on. The staff doesn’t seem to go around and organize the equipment. This would never happen at my home GoodLife gym. Also, the equipment is so close together to the point where you can’t even put a 45 pound weight on the bottom rack of the bench press station because the weight hits the wall. I would never come back. The south GoodLife in the mall was way better. Smaller gym but way better experience.

Expérience négative: When GoodLife was at the mall before COVID hit, I won a 3 day membership. So as I went to go and retrieve my prize, they made it permanent. However, that's not what I won. I even tried cancelling the membership and they wanted over 900 bucks just to cancel the membership. I wouldn't recommend going with these guys to work out. Because they're nothing but a bunch of scammers.

Every time I leave the gym to thank the staff they wouldn’t respond to me or look at me while they are texting and using there phones. I asked to talk to the manager to tell them that the tanning bed is broken and has a crack that burned my back the associate said “ok, have a good one” They make me feel like they are doing me a favor for paying a lot of money to workout there. The gym equipment is well maintained and clean but the staff needs to be trained better on how to be nicer to clients. The only reasons I go there is because it’s the only nice gym in all of Sudbury. I’m new to Sudbury and the staff in this gym makes me hate the whole town. I’ve been to so many goodlife gyms in all of Canada but have never seen worst staff than the ones in this Sudbury location. The mangers need to be better than this.

Expérience positive: Open 24-7 , relatively clean for the most part , decent amount of equipment. For how many members their are , this place should be a lot bigger. Especially the sauna that can only accommodate 3 ppl. Some of the studios / rooms seem like a waste of space.

Expérience fantastique: One of the bigger GoodLife gyms I’ve been to - I go here every time I visit, clean location, they’re often busy but have dedicated spaces for various types of workouts and considering how many people attend its well spaced out and doesn’t result in having to wait too long to use any of the equipment.

Their booking cancellation policy is terrible where they suspend your membership for a week after you cancel your appointment 3 times if it is not 5 hours in advance (as if anyone would know 5 hours in advance) I recommend you taking your hard earned money and signing up elsewhere.
Hey Tom, we apologize for you feeling this way. This policy was put into place to allow those on the waitlist ample time to prepare as many were receiving late notices and were then unable to attend. We understand that circumstances may arise that are out of your control, and we ask that those members give us the opportunity to look into the situation for them.
Expérience négative: Stay far away from this gym! Only money grabbers here! When everything was shut down in March my training sessions and membership went on hold.. I had continued to hold everything after the gym had opened because I work a high risk job and didn't feel comfortable going in. I called last week because I had 10 personal training sessions left.. and I wanted to get my money back for them.. they proceeded to tell me that they were giving out refunds in July... but because I didn't have an email on file they couldn't contact me.. but I had a phone number? Why not pick up the phone and call!? I then call corporate.. of course they were saying the training sessions are non refundable. I decided to cancel my membership after telling corporate what happened I knew I wasn't getting my money back. Extremely disappointed in this gym.. as I was a membership for over 10 years. Nothing but money grabbers! Stay far from this gym! Support the local gyms instead!
We are sorry to hear about this. Regretfully at no point were training sessions being refunded for members in July. We allowed members who joined within 10 days of the closure an additional 10 days once their club re-opened to regret their subscription. We apologize that we were unable to provide you a refund (as it is not an option).

People don't wipe down their machines, so lots of germs and people drop their weights making very loud clings all the time. Also the weight benches are always full.

Expérience positive: Nice gym. Go regularly after you join. If you book and don't show up, you need to cancel the booking. If you don't cancel the booking, don't go, and repeat this two times, you get banned for a week.
Expérience positive: My partner says it has good windows and good equipment. Needs more power racks. Loses a star because stretching area is dirty and needs to be cleaned.
Expérience négative: Will not recommend going to this place during covid as the manager will not let anybody in without a mask even if it is your first time in 3 months . Masks are only required from entrance door to locker room HOWEVER masks are not mandatory while you are on the gym floor. Even if u want to purchase one from them they do not sell it so the only option you have is to go back home and “GET YOUR MASK”. I support their initiative against maintaining a safe environment for everyone but on the other hand it’s ridiculous to see that they do not have an alternative procedure for people who have forgotten their mask at home or work . Very disappointing and not worth the fee.
Hi there, we are mandated by public health to ensure the mask requirements are followed. We certainly appreciate that situations will arise but we thank you for your understanding.
Expérience positive: I guess it’s better than average gyms in town, but compared to other locations such as North Bay, Timmins, Barrie, and Toronto, this location is disappointing in terms of cleanliness, layout & space, and machine quality. Men’s room including urinals and toilets is filthy. I don’t want to be critical but I just can’t understand how people can put up with its pungent smell. The gym layout is average, they can do far better with the design and layout since it feels very small. Other than that I don’t have any complaints.
