Expérience négative: I walked in here to see what the rates were like as i go to the gym 5 days a week but have to drive to the next city, I was immediately turned off by the extremely outdated pricing model. Someone needs to learn how to use excel... why is there a bi-yearly fee and a $25 card fee in addition to a paperwork fee... it's absurd, you seem to be actively trying to deter business. So I decide OK whatever, the price is fine but I will make a decision later after I can use excel to figure out what the final price actually is, so I take a pamphlet labeled "member pricing" and it doesn't have any of the fees on it so now I have no idea what they were and I'll continue driving to the next city over every morning. EDIT: This is in response to the owners response, these sorts of fees were common in gyms in the 90s and 2000s, but many if not most gyms have moved away from them, I do not understand why you wouldn't charge $10 more a month rather than charging a large fee twice a year. If I started the month before a "improvement fee" am I still expected to pay the fee? If so then I shouldn't sign up until the week after the improvement fee. If you want to be a specialty gym, be that and dont try and appeal to the general public, if you want to be a gym for the general public then stop having these random fees and roll them into the monthly membership... the entire thing feels structured like you can't budget at all.

Expérience fantastique: The hours are awesome (24hour) the staff is excellent and the gym has everything you’d need. I go mid day usually and it’s never been busy ever when I have been there. Only machine I’ve ever waited for is machine fly and lying leg curl, I wish they’d get a seated leg curl also but this gym is great! Staff is friendly and customers are friendly. Helping each other and giving tips. Don’t hesitate just sign up.

Expérience fantastique: I am new to the area and needed a new gym that I could use at whatever time was convenientt for me and this gym has everything and more! I had the pleasure of having Yazmeen tour me around the place. I told her my needs and some specifics and she went through which machines would help me out the most - She went through all the memberships with me and describing what's the best offer. I never felt pressured or rushed to sign up as the level of professionalism sold the place to me, I couldn't ask for a sweeter and down hearted person welcoming me into the gym! I highly recomend this gym to anyone that needs flexibility with their gym schedule. And I highly recommend Yazmeen looking for an impressed level of customer service!

Expérience négative: The good? Pretty empty, even during peak hours. This is likely due to all the bad I’ll list below. The bad? Outdated equipment, a large amount of which is usually broken. Pretty unsanitary facility, the water tastes like there’s mold in the lines, the front desk staff are usually pretty good, but anybody operating the rest of their customer service issues are rude, unhelpful, and ultimately just want to charge you for any fee they can. The price is very high for what you’re getting. The classic gym that just wants you to sign a contract, and then bill you any and every chance they get. Their system repeatedly said my payment had declined (spoke with Visa, they had no part in this, and I am never even close to my limit, nor do I have this experience with the other dozen auto payments I have on my card). Repeatedly tried to resolve this with them, to no avail. To cancel? More fees, late charges, and additional membership payments due to their “policies”. If you want to hit some barbell movements during peak hours, it’s an alright gym. If you want a remotely positive experience, in absolutely any way, do NOT go to this gym.

Expérience fantastique: Excellent service and workers I had to leave this gym sadly, moving to the big city, happened on a dispute about account closure which was swiftly taken care of while speaking to shing. Lot of big mf’s here which is the best motivation for self improvement.

Expérience fantastique: I have been lifting for thirty years in the Langley area and this is the best gym I have ever been to. Why? Community, Convenience, and Annette! Annette, the manager, with limited resources and support, puts in her best effort to hire friendly and capable girls to work the desk. She is a longtime resident of Aldergrove, a member of the business community, a personal trainer, and competitor that lives the fitness lifestyle. She is very welcoming and makes us all feel that it is a gym for everybody and every body. The members at this gym are very supportive and some of the nicest high achievers I have met. I have personally received help with my squat from a champion strongman, running tips from a triathlete, glute excercises for my flat a$$, mobility from an international world class athlete, nutrition and training advice from a nutrition store owner and bodybuilder, real estate and mortgage, vehicles, tattoos, trades, parenting, I could go on and on. The members here take care of each other. My financial health, mental health, and of course physical health, have all improved from being a member of this gym. Truly a gym family. What’s up morning crew!

Expérience négative: I have never been to this gym but judging by the reviews and the responses from the owner who sounds like a self obsorbed person in the worst way I will never go. The customers you chose to reply to and how you replied shows no class or professionalism at all. In a market like aldergrove for you to have these values or lack there of is pathetic. Telling someone they have personal relationship issues was it for me. I am someone with personal issues hense the need for the gym. Kind and professional employees who help and support me not put me down is what I am after and clearly can not be provided at powerhouse.

Expérience fantastique: I started at Powerhouse at the end of March, only regret.... I wish I had gone in the day I moved to Aldergrove, 2 years ago!!! I think it has a great atmosphere, everyone seems to be quite nice. The manager, Annette has been an amazing help, great customer service, always there if and when you need her. I thought a gym like this would be intimidating, I was so wrong about that!! I was a member of another gym for five years, I don’t regret leaving that one for Powerhouse!!

I paid them for three month including joining fees after 3 months i didn't go to gym for a week, they ask me to pay again for joining fees just because of that one week

Expérience positive: I'm not sure why the air conditioning never seems to be on in this place. It wasn't an issue at the old location but it seems to be a problem at the new location for some reason. I come at a variety of times for my workouts - morning, afternoon, evening and 90% of the time it's like walking into a sauna. I work hard, i sweat and i appreciate a cool temp in the gym. Are the staff just not turning it on?? Or is it broken?? My thoughts are this: if you don't like the AC and you're cold (or lazy and just sitting around on your phone), put on a sweater! The rest of us would appreciate the cool air. I've heard lots of other members complaining about the same thing. Other than that annoying issue, the gym is okay. I hope they fix it.

Expérience négative: Just travel the extra miles and stay away from this Gym. That's right, the only reason this gym exists is because this is the only gym in Aldergrove. They have already lost some business because of the Rec Centre. Wait for the rest of it to go away once another gym opens up. A few pointers: 1. Most of the staff is rude. Manager 'Annette' is the worst, customer service is zero. Gym is a service and if that's what you lack at, you have no future. If you don't believe me, try giving them a call before even you step into the gym. 2. The gym is too loud that if you enjoy your workout in peace, stay away. 3. The gym is very expensive for what they offer. Their membership plans are not at all flexible or feasible. Again, Monopoly. 4. Washrooms don't even qualify for the amount of people you see in there. I have had the worst experience with my membership and Annette just made is so much worst. No matter how much i explained the story, she just kept mentioning the rules and policies. I mean the rules and policies of membership are based on the gym service they provide. If you have your customer pleading to be treated fairly and you don't care about the service, just money, we all know what kind business you are running. I was with Anytime Fitness for 5 years and I am regretting the day i chose to leave Anytime Fitness and go for this gym just so that its closer. FYI i went back to Anytime Fitness 4 months ago and I am happy as ever and issue with Powerhouse is still lingering on. Again its not about the money, its about being fair in doing your business.

Expérience négative: Tried to use their tanning services. Was told that they'd be happy to sign the paperwork but because I wasn't a gym member I'd be unable to tan. They clearly advertise tanning is available to non-members, I want to pay you to use your services, not sign a contract and come back on a later date. Won't be back

Expérience positive: I don't really have anything negative to say except disappointed that they don't offer a free trial - 3 or 7 day; its always nice to try a gym before making a commitment. When I visited it was loud, which is accurate to the other reviews I've read. thank you.

Expérience fantastique: Not the cleanest or best equipped gym ever. But I love it because the people are great, membership is reasonable, hours are good, it has everything to need, and it's never too busy.

Expérience négative: Gym is okay, what ruins it though is that they play music like we in the club or something. Loud all the time. Pretty obnoxious, I'm not even able to listen to mine.

Cuz the way I see it is, if you can't calculate hidden fees into your spreadsheet, I can't trust you. Psst! This place was empty when I showed. Another reason not to endeavor.

It has lots of good equipment, most of the people who go here have great gym educate, juice bar and meals are great, and the trainers are very knowlageable(which it's hard to find knowlagable and fit personal trainers in my opinion). I have and would highly recommend this gym

Expérience fantastique: Best gym I've been to in the Fraser Valley. Great equipment selection, and one of very few gyms to have turf, a prowler and sled. This gym has all the equipment a person needs to train at a high level. Staff are always smiling and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone.

Expérience fantastique: This is a high quality, well maintained clean facility, with brand new equipment, class programs, a separate cardio mezzanine and tanning division at a reasonable cost. Friendly, motivating and knowledgeable staff. A fully stocked Pro Shop selling a variety of apparel and brands as well as a wide range of supplements. Upon entering you will be greeted by the Powerhouse Ambassadors where you will find them behind a full functioning Juice Bar making and selling healthy choice meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, complimented with a ide range specialty protein shakes. This is one Gym you DEFINTIELY WANT to TRAIN at!
