Expérience négative: I hate that this location is no longer 24 hours. I work mondays to Thursday from 8am8pm and always went to the gym Friday sat sundays. Now I have to switch gyms. Planet fitness has a policy of 24 hours. This is the only location that doesn’t.. it’s upsetting.

Expérience négative: I love this gym but i have to take off stars. I've been going here for about 8 years, it's always clean, the staff are amazing and there is a good mix of equipment and space. Unfortunately the recent-ish change from 24 hours means that this is no longer accessible for me (any many others I'm sure). I'm someone who use to go later in the evening/at night, usually around 9pm. The new hours means I can't go and trying to fit a workout in during their hours is nearly impossible. I have the black card membership but at this point I'm just throwing money away not using it.

Expérience négative: For the love of God people, get off your cell phone and work out. I waited on this one machine for over 10 minutes because dude did a rep and then got on his phone for 2-3 minutes. I took this picture, literally everyone in that row was occupying equipment but on their cell phones staring at their screens. Can you people NOT do without your phones (looking at the screen) for a workout??? Planet Fitness has to figure out a way to solve this...but, when the employees at the front desk are doing the same thing, I doubt it's gonna happen. I finally left.

Expérience négative: Would like to join this club. The tour was great - clean, lots of machines, classes, pleasant staff, etc. Unfortunately, I cannot pay everything upfront- one lump sum for the entire year. They want me to pay monthly, out of my bank, by providing a void cheque and credit card information for back up. I really don't want to provide this information because of the negative reviews given to Planet Fitness about cancellation issues. Too many comments about difficulties with cancellation process and bank accounts being billed after cancellation. Don't want the hassle. Unfortunately, I have to return to Fit for Less (or Crunch) which will accommodate my request for paying an upfront one time annual fee.

Expérience négative: The worst club ever!We canceled our membership on 2nd February and they said you can use the gym until 16th February. We came to the gym on 4th of February and they didn’t let us in. We already paid until 16th February and they just did fraud. Don’t suggest anyone this club. They will take your money and you can’t use the gym.

Expérience négative: I just came from the gym in Burlington. I have been using multiple machines in the 30 minutes room. There was a young lady who occupied the legs press machine. She has been on her phone the whole time. Once I did multiple sets on 3 machines I asked her if I can use the machine she has been occupying. She said she has 3 more sets. I told her it is an express room and she shouldn’t be on her phone the whole time. Since she gave me an attitude I asked the employee of Planet Fitness to talk to her. When I was about to use different machine the employee- Christian came to me and the young lady followed him. She was calling me racist, accusing me about things that I never said, threatening me to call the police( I asked her to do it), she put the phone close to my face and was trying to take the photo. I took my hand to cover her phone, so she was not able to take the photo and she was screaming that I touched her, then the Planet Fitness employee stopped her from taking the photo. This employee was not able to resolve the situation and basically didn’t do anything with this young lady was acting this way. She called me old and ugly and he was there quiet allowing her to make all these accusations. He even told me and her , that it is the express room but she is allowed to use the machine for as long as she wants. I am white Caucasian, I was engaged to a Pakistani man, my daughter is half Latina, I have been living in Canada for almost 30 years, in Burlington for 10 years and I have been going to the gym for several years. I never experienced something like this and luck support from Christian made this situation even worse. I asked him for the manager name and email. He said that he is allowed to go give me only the first name of the manager- Shannon and he is not allow to give me her email address even. I came home all shaken. I will call Shannon tomorrow and cancel the membership. I had a situation before too, that they stopped me when I entered the gym as they said they have completely different person on my profile. They showed me the photo and it was someone completely different. Few weeks ago I have been stopped again for the photo as they said they didn’t have any but whatever i experienced today it is not acceptable. It is not acceptable that the employee was standing there unable to stop this situation. I don’t understand why he allowed this young girl to follow him instead of speaking to us separately.

Expérience négative: The centre is good with the staff and services but the cancellation policy is one of the worst. If you are signing up, they don't ask why and it is a single click process, but for cancellation, you have to visit them in person or you need to send a postal letter and nothing can be done online via email or app. I would suggest you choose another fitness centre over the planet, as this is not the right one for the membership services.

Expérience négative: Have been going with my fiancé for over a year to this location as his guest and have always been allowed to use the services such as the tanning and the red light. Went today and was denying all the service that come with the black card and was told guests do not get to use any of the services all of a sudden even though I have used them up until now. Will be looking for a new gym.

Expérience négative: The new hours is 100% bad. This PF location is already very small. Now, we are having to wait for space on the floor in the back room to stretch, do abs, etc. because there are too many people in attendance with limited space. Sometimes, broken machines stay broken for weeks. Waiting for equipment was always normal. I read through the comments and the owner is clearly indifferent to our concerns. Telling us to look for another location... People living in Burlington should consider Fit4Less on Fairview; my previous gym before their pandemic price shenanigans. If you live East of Dorval, switch to Westdale Mall location in Mississauga if you want to remain with PF or there's a Fit4Less at Dorval and North Service at the former GoodLife location. I'm at Westdale now. 24/7. More machines. Plenty space. 2 toilets in the men's room. Plenty TVs with TSN/Sportsnet. Not restricted to watching repeated NATO/Pissrael propagandas on CP24 and CNN like at Burlington. Be warned, lots of crowds in the evening hours. You don't want crowds, 0000-0600 hours is your time. I don't know much about during the day. They don't restock the paper towel at the 30 minutes station. Overall, big upgrade from Burlington location atm.

Expérience négative: I will give it zero on god went there i was interested in this place i said i can try the one day pass and if i like it i will register so i went there w my friends because we just finish work and said let go try it out so our experience started w the people on the front my friend is already have a membership so he tried to scan it they said he can’t go to all locations which we respected that we got the free pass and we try to go in after we finish the guy who called Mitchell said there is a dress code we said can we see that u have a thing like this can we see papers saying there is a dress code or he make things personal he showed us nothing didn’t let us in and we already scan our free pass and he told us after and i can tell that he is making things personal we he said that after we scanned and tried to walk in if i ever was thinking about this place i will not anymore i had the worst experience in my life i never give any bad reviews but i can’t have this experience and keep it to myself

Expérience fantastique: Today I visted the Burlington Planet Fitness for the second time. The first time I went during the pandemic. A friend and I were turned away due to covid protocol and it made me sad at the time. He had reminded me after I had finished my workout and it made me irrationally ornery. Take what I say with a grain of salt. I walked in at 10:15, did my weird 20 minute massage warm-up, to a judgement free smile. I have forgotten the name of said smile but this was midday on a Monday, so whom ever you are you made me feel comfortable! The black card area had the staples but I only did the hydro lounger and the massage chair. The lounger does its thing and well, but the message chair felt ancient. It was coin operated and there was no oomph in the leg air bags which was disappointing. I only tried Chair 1 so it could just be a single chair issue. The locker room was clean. I didn't go into the stalls or showers but nothing seemed off from a glance. It also has what I assume to be a urinal for the vertically challenged or possibly a child. Either way it seems inclusive so I'm cool with it. I found a corner in the room with the abductions machines to skip in. It was a little tight for my comfort, but thats because I gots no rope control and I'm self concious. Other members watched with curiousity while I was skipping which felt encouraging. Coming from one of the busier gyms, this one had no lines and plenty of options. I was able to get a Smith for thrusts and squats, the leg curl for longer than the express allots and if I wanted any of the cardio machines but I'm a heathen and didn't cool down. Every member I interacted with was kind, warm and welcoming. I had a very brief conversation with a few members and staff which isn't normal for me. They're never brief. Overall I highly recommend Planet Fitness Burlington. You have redeemed yourself from my first visit and I'm looking forward to my next one!

Expérience négative: Closing at 7pm on weekends? What are we? 7 years old??? UPDATE: I know the owner said we can find other clubs, but it’s literally the only PF in the vicinity. Also, I’ve been there on weekends until 7pm closing time, and there were still heaps of people at that time but we all had to leave. It doesn’t have to be open 24/7….but staying open for an extra hour or two would help

Expérience négative: I’ve been a Planet Fitness member since October 2023, signing up at the London, Ontario location. I paid $50 upfront and $34 monthly. After six months, I moved to Oakville, Ontario, where there’s no nearby location. The closest one is 30 minutes away, so for six months, I was paying for a membership I couldn’t use. I went to cancel my membership on October 27, 2024—three days before my renewal date—and was told I had to pay for the entire next year, from October 2024 to October 2025. They said I should have come in at least seven days earlier (October 25) to avoid the renewal fee. Apparently, this was in my contract, but no one mentioned this ridiculous policy when I signed up. When I brought up my issues with the London location and my move to Oakville, they said, ‘We can’t control London; we’re a different location.’ How can a big brand like Planet Fitness have such inconsistent policies and service? It should be the same everywhere, but instead, they leave customers hanging with no help or flexibility. This kind of miscommunication and customer service is unacceptable from a brand this big. Planet Fitness needs to be more clear with their customers instead of hiding behind these garbage policies. I’ve paid for a year of nothing, and it’s total bullshit. This whole experience has been frustrating and disgusting .

Hi Suzanne, most of our memberships require a checking account to draft fees every month and a secondary form of payment, such as a debit/credit card. This just helps you avoid missing any payments and getting stuck with late fees associated with lost/stolen credit cards. We hope this clears things up.

Expérience négative: In some point you i feel you guy you create your policy/contract to steal from i didn't go to gy for almost one year and a half bu you still charging me how can you charge some who don't use your service trying to call to cancel no one pick up the phone i send email in customer service no one get back to me and finally to day someone pick up my phone and they told me to cancel i have to go to office or send mail you have to do better everything can be in digital and the bad thing is after i call to day they even if you send a letter we cannot cancel your membership until you pay all due balance and it will still keep adding up every month and i don't use the service almost a year and six month

Expérience négative: It was advertised as 24 hours when I first purchased membership. Since it couldn’t keep up with what they advertise, I am cancelling my membership now. And there is no other planet fitness, neither in Burlington nor nearby towns, so club finder is useless. Given that this is the only club from Oakville to Lincoln, suddenly reducing the hour is not acceptable.

Expérience négative: DISAPPOINTED!!!..... doesn't even begin to describe my feeling. If this cut down hours issue is not resolved, I am taking my family membership to another gym. There is no value in this membership anymore with cut down hours. It is very restrictive, to say the least and makes the gym very crowded (and smelly as a result).

Expérience fantastique: Great facility, staff are amazing and helpful, always clean in the change rooms and machines are always in good shape. Tim the trainer is great at developing a personal workout. He listened to my goals to get the results I want and follows up asking about limitations, changing the routine to best suit my workout schedule. Really nice guy and really helpful to make sure I have correct form for the best results. The best value for my workout needs.

Expérience fantastique: Just joined a few weeks ago and really enjoying this gym! Much less intimidating than others and a very welcoming environment with just the right amenities. Overall very clean and well maintained. Had an excellent session with Tim who helped me create a curated routine to work towards my goals. He was fantastic, patient and listened to my needs.

Expérience négative: While the staff here are absolutely amazing I’m not happy with the new hours . One of the reasons I joined was the 24 hour access . With the new hours it’s so much busier that I have a hard time accessing the equipment . I’m more than likely going to end my membership here and go elsewhere . It may cost me more for a membership elsewhere but I’m willing to pay more for better service hours . Something PF may want to keep in mind . In order to cut costs you are cutting hours but then you’re losing money in members leaving. Perhaps you don’t need to be open 24 hours but closing at 7pm on a weekend is nuts . And before you suggest looking for the closest 24 hr PF I already have. This is located at Westdale Mall in Mississauga . The time it would take to drive there and back plus the cost of gas makes that suggestion unreasonable ..

Expérience négative: That's utterly disappointing that this location changed the timings and taking away the freedom of 24/7 what I signed up for. I request the management to bring back the 24/7 timings. If that's not the case me and my friends are going to change our gym in August. There are other competitors like Fit4less offering less price and 24/7 operations.

You have made this planet fitness extremely impractical now not just for me but for several others. Within this week 4 of my friends switched gyms and im definitely on the verge as well as it has not been accommodating to my lifestyle. I only leave good google review. This is the first time I'm having to write a bad one .. and that means alot

They have changed their hours and are not open 24 hours anymore, that was one of the biggest attractions of the gym considering this PF is quite small. There are gyms in the area that are even slightly cheaper and open 24 hours. Sad to have to switch but I have no idea why this PF location changed the hours. Bad decision.

Expérience négative: me and my family are very disappointed that planet fitness has changed their hours. They have a very good environment in the gym. Such friendly staff in the gym, cleanliness is always at peak, and maintenance is always worked on right away. My disabled grandmother was able to comfortably come to the gym with us every single day without feeling judged. She was able to use all the equipment and felt welcomed. We’ve had to switch to fit4less worst decision of my life. please change your hours back to 24 hours to accommodate your guests!!!!! send this to head office. not smart at all.

Expérience positive: Cons: Changed hours has increased the number of people making it a bit inconvenient. Biggest issue is night-time staff members do not check cleaning stations regularly enough, so multiple stations may not have paper towel. I’ve seen fitness coach and client not wipe down mats after use, this does not promote a hygienic habit which is quite important if machines do not get cleaned regularly. Pros: Most affordable membership in the area, increased selection of equipment that has been recently added, and great overall for beginners or casual users.

Expérience négative: The gym overall is great for the price. The frustration comes around their hours of operation which used to be 24/7…now they close at 7pm on weekends and 9pm weekdays. I usually only get out to work out after my kids are in bed so now that becomes nearly impossible. I get not being open 24hrs but 7pm

Expérience négative: Bring back the longer hours. Atleast 10-11 pm. Walked in on a Sunday and the gym closed at 7pm!? Cannot get use to this. Doesn’t have to be open 24 hours but 9pm on a weekend would be great and like I mentioned later on a weeknight as well. Do better, I’m sure a lot of people will quit.

Expérience positive: It's not a bad gym, the employees are polite and the gym has a welcoming atmosphere however as with all planet fitness gyms, there are no benches, squat racks/power racks or lifting platforms, so it's a bit limiting, definitely a good starting point for someone looking to start working out and the low monthly subscription makes it more reasonable.

I've been with planet fitness for 7 years and just signed up with this location and not welcoming at all . Gym members nice but definitely not staff. I’ve been to most locations in the gta and this has to be the worst . Avoid at all costs

Expérience fantastique: Very clean gym, friendly staff. Lots of treadmills and elliptical machines, a few bikes. The equipment is all well cared for, however sometimes if a machine is in need of repair it might be out for a few days to a week. 30 minutes express workout area is great, although there are often people not doing the circuit holding up the machines, not monitored regularly by the employees.

Expérience fantastique: I honestly think this is a great "value" level gym. Its always clean. The front desk people are always nice/attentive. When machines break they are always fixed in a timely fashion. Equipment maintenance is always kept up. Most of the other gym members are really respectful and everyone respects eachothers space. You know you are getting the staples and a lot of the time thats just what people need anyways.

Expérience fantastique: I joined November 2023 and still going strong. Friendly, helpful staff, nice atmosphere and good equipment. I was intimidated joining a more mainstream gym (I was at a community place for years) but I realized there was no reason to be after my first workout. I also went to a Planet Fitness in Florida as a guest during a vacay and was just as happy. No complaints.

Expérience positive: It gets really busy, not so clean! Members stay on machines texting for minutes ! I am really disappointed as I don’t think there is anything I can do. All what I am using is the tread mill machine! Although it’s the cheapest option out there I believe value is money is not that convincing. I would pay a little more but get a better membership elsewhere !

Expérience positive: I had a good experience while being a member at this location. Always clean, friendly staff, never too busy. When it came time to cancel, I called and was told my request was taken care of. (I called in because I moved to another city) I noticed over a year later I was still being charged the $10/m. (I know that's some time but I don't look at ever small charge on my credit card) I called in two more times over the next while and was told cancelations over the phone would not be possible, and that a district manager would call me back. That never happened both times. (I was also given an email address to contact for cancellations...I never received a response) Finally Today I called in and a rep by the name of Dan took care of my cancellation after hearing my story. This took him 10 seconds to solve this issue. If only the rest of the staff I spoke with could have taken the same initiative, I could have given this gym/experience a higher rating. Thanks Dan for hearing me out, and taking care of an issue that took three of your colleagues to forget about.

Expérience fantastique: Budget friendly gym with everything you need in terms of machine and facilities. For a basic very fair monthly charge you have access to all machines and free wifi. With the standard subscription you get to a session with the personal trainer. The trainer there Tim was very helpful and attentive. He asked all the questions to understand what I was seeking and he built a whole program for me to follow and follow up with him after 5 weeks. Excellent trainer. Fully recommend.

Expérience fantastique: You get what you pay for. If you don't need someone else to motivate you. This is the place to go. The highest weight they have for dumbbell is 75lb. Free weight 45lb plates. Definitely a place for casual work out to stay fit.

Expérience négative: Spoke to 2 different employees and 2 different managers about cancellation of my membership. I was told multiple times I would not longer be charged for my membership once it was cancelled but was continued to be charged for 4 months. I brought this information to the manager who said they would rectify the situation but never got a call back and continued to be charged for another 2 months. Very disappointed that 2 employees and 2 managers were not on the same page about the policies. Ended up costing me more money.

Expérience positive: Staff is great and the gym is always clean. I really wish this location had a PF360 room and kettle bells, TRX bands etc…. This location is a lot smaller than the Mississauga location. There isn’t enough floor space to do work outs freely which is one of the downsides. There’s only dumbbells on one end of the gym which is also a little frustrating . But other than that the place is fine.

Expérience fantastique: Started at PF today and had a “Design Your Own Program” session with Tim. I haven’t been to the gym in years and he made me feel very welcome, I’m someone who worries about judgement and he proved there was none. I had no idea where to start which is why I booked that session and Tim seriously helped me out and walked me through an easy beginner plan and the gym itself, every machine they had. Expérience négative: Unfortunately it’s not often I run a negative review but neglect to return contact and avoid refunding me is not a situation i appreciate. I have been in comtacted since before 05/26/2022. Shannon May was the employee in which i had multiple phone conversations. I always had to follow-up and never received returned calls. I was charged two times over after an account closure and the process on Planet fitness Burlington’s end was performed incorrectly but of course I received the charges. Finally after constant followup a “further review” was performed as per Shannon May and i was to receive a refund in 10 business days. Post that conversation, multiple phone calls have been made and emails with no return contact. I have yet to receive the refund and months have gone by. I encourage your facility to train your staff on proper customer service follow-up and please process refund as discussed.
