George Preston Sports Box: Opinions
Positive experience: Half indoor half outdoor pretty good but it gets way to hot in the summer, and dressing rooms have cobwebs and could use a clean, and views from the stands could be way better. Also concrete floors for ball hockey and lacrosse are way to slippery.
Negative experience: Apparently George Preston doesn't care about kids' sports leagues, they'd rather make that cash by renting out their TWO EXTRA parking lots ON THE SAME DAY they have Ball Hockey Games and a Lacrosse TOURNAMENT. Meanwhile parents can find parking, so they are illegally parked, making it hard for deliver food semi's to do their job safely without damaging property. Management REALLY needs to rethink their renting agreements, considering the Lacrosse and Ball Hockey already rented out their rinks, and expect adequate parking with that agreement - sounds a bit shady to be charging 3 parties on the same day for inadequate services rendered.
Negative experience: this place is absolutely horrendous for ball hockey. waaay to slippery of a floor, you slip waaay too much. It also is terrible for hot days because the rink is outside so your dripping sweat before you even start the game. overall the rink is terrible i hate playing there and the only decent thing are the dressing rooms.
Positive experience: Scoreboard has been broken for a year, any inclement weather creates hazards on the floor for players. Seating is horribly laid out with bad lines of sight. Never any township staff around for issues and the phome number listed as a contact is out of service. This rink seems to be 80% of its potential.
Positive experience: Always good once they get the scoreboard fixed it will be great.
Positive experience: Good for practice but bad for games. Not enough stands to watch and the 30 second shot clock has malfunctions. The arena is sometimes too slippery. The boards are flexible enough
Fantastic experience: Wicked rink. Our daughter took skating lessons here and it was wonderful.
