Fantastic experience: Great spot!!

Fantastic experience: I've been using Rick's facilities on and off for nearly 20 years. The gym is always clean and well maintained and Rick is very helpful. I don't think I've met another person that wants to see people succeed at their goals as much as Rick does.

Fantastic experience: Great lil gem in a small town. Great place to get your pump on. Definitely didn't expect a great "bodybuilder" gym to be found here. Lots of options machine and freeweight wise. Good job Rick!!

Positive experience: Short version: this is the only gym in town, so if you want to train, you have no choice but to come here. Probably much better than what you might expect of a small town gym, and a fine place to workout for both casual and more serious athletes. Super in-depth unnecessarily analytical Pro/Con version: Pros: -In a basement, which is nice in the summer. Well-airated and lots of fans make up for no A/C (sort of). -Not overcrowded at all, even during peak rush hours. Weekends the gym is usually empty. -Actually has a power rack which is even bolted to the ground. It's not a Rogue or a Hammer Strength, but it works. -Tons of 45s -Great variety of machines especially for such a small gym. For instance: Hack Squat, 45° Hack Squat, 45° Leg Press, Horizontal Leg Press. -Has two seperate rooms besides the main room, one has Abdominal stuff and a punching bag, the other has room for circuit training, kettlebells, etc. -Pretty close to being open 24/7 Cons: -70$/month. Definitely expensive for what it is, especially considering a commercial gym like GoodLife's membership is about 40$/month. However, it's a small town with not a lot of members so the price makes sense, I guess. Besides, you have no choice but to train here. -There are 5 barbells, but all of them except the one newer one are pretty much garbage. The others have zero knurling, loose collars, a couple are badly bent. -Other than the one power rack, there's only one other Squat rack and it's one of those unadjustable old school ones. -There is also only one flat bench. Non adjustable, no safeties. (You can always slide a bench in the power rack, however) -Some useless/redundant machines (Forearm machine, back extension machine, two Smith machines, etc.) Could all be got rid of to make room for another flat bench or power rack or deadlift platform. Other points: -Locker room has a shower -No actual lockers but whatever Not a lot of thieving in a town like this anyways. -Bring your own music unless you love EDM and nothing but EDM.
