Fantastic experience: Great place for a visit to Cowichan river. If it's warm enough bring your bathing suit and go for a swim.

Fantastic experience: What a beautiful area, so quiet and peaceful. Safe swimming area. Very popular especially weekend. Some people arrive very early. Although certain number of people were drinking large quantities of beer. They weren't being rowdy, but were clearly over the legal drinking driving limit.
