Barnburner Hockey Academy

Fantastic experience: We've come now for three treadmill skating sessions. My skater feels like the tips and individualized attention is really helpful. He's keeping his head up more and working on his speed.

Fantastic experience: We hosted a birthday party for my 6 year old son at Barnburner and had a fantastic time. The kids loved the large area to play mini sticks. The party room allowed for easy meal setup and clean up. The instructors were energetic and attentive to the needs of the kids and adapted their plans accordingly. We hope to be back for another party in the future.

Fantastic experience: What a great facility. So many activities for hockey players of all levels. Both my kids have been to the Academy and never want to leave. Great instructors, customer service on point and a great overall vibe. I have recommended to my friends whose kids come from all levels of hockey. Also the competitive pricing really helps.

Fantastic experience: Great experience for our first time there! Joey gave us a tour, then my son did 30 minutes of shooting practice. Already has improved! Will be back with teammates.

Fantastic experience: Great facility with state of the art training equipments. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Negative experience: 12 mins on the treadmill doing IP drills. 2 foot glide, 1 foot glide, skulls and 1 foot push. Instructor constantly on phone. Save your money. Average age of skaters 12.

Positive experience: Skating/hockey clinics are OK.

Fantastic experience: My U10A son, barely could shoot a couple months ago. After 6 sessions, he is shooting properly and picking corners. He loves the sessions. Can't say enough about BarnBurner and it's coaches. We will be trying the treadmill sessions next.

Fantastic experience: Their off ice training and state of the art facilities are non comparable. All the coaches seem to be able to explain technique in order to enhance our kids hockey skills. All though it is hard work the coaches somehow managed to still make it fun for the kids! It’s a win, win!

Fantastic experience: We started going to Barn Burner in the summer and absolutely love it. The trainers there are best in class. There is a focus on proper skating and shooting technique, but at the same time it caters to the needs of our five and seven year old boys. We plan to continue going regularly for many years to come.

Fantastic experience: Great facility, modern and clean. The staff are great (Marco and Charlie) worked with my sons (13 and 7) very well. They were both helpful and encouraging!

Fantastic experience: Travelled here with my son from Scotland who was super excited to try this place out after seeing a video online, the whole experience by far exceeded both our expectations, after one session on the treadmill the on ice improvements in my sons skating was clearly evident, so much so I booked the five session package they have on offer, the coaches were excellent with my son teaching him loads on proper skating technics and also shooting and passing drills in their glice pad, the results and improvements in my sons skating and shooting were unbelievable. I will definitely be coming back here.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience! Coaching was excellent. Coach Jonah was patient and took the time to make sure my son was comfortable and was understanding the skills training he was being taught. He motivated my son and and made sure his experience was fulfilling and positive!! We have already booked to come back again. 5 star all the way!

Fantastic experience: Amazing….. worth every penny…. Been taking my 9yr old …. Has had difficulty with crossovers and thanks to Coach Jonah….. yesterday during tryouts he was crossing over smoothly and efficiently …… Thank you Barn Burner and the rest of the team Highly Recommend !!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing trainers and facilities

Negative experience: I set up a 2 hour training session in the gym and shooting lanes for my ten year old's hockey team in mid February. The training was scheduled for late March. They contacted me two days before the training date to tell me that they mistakenly double booked our team with another team. They offered no remedy. All communication is through email, couldn't get a hold of anyone to talk to. We ended up requesting a full refund. Our hockey team was extremely disappointed. What I've been finding is that most hockey schools/academies are really good at the hockey instruction but lack the skills to run a business. Unfortunately the Barn Burner Hockey Academy is no different.
