Personal Training | Kinesiology | Vancouver

After studying to become a Personal Trainer and working in the industry for some time, I have observed some persistent flaws in common training methods that I aim to correct.

Unfortunately, this is not the case for everyone. Great health is a mental game for some of us, so when we are mentally strong, everything falls into place. Everyone has obstacles preventing them from achieving their goals- EVERYONE, including me. To address this issue, I completed a Life Coaching course which taught me incredible skills to help myself and others achieve our goals and to prepare us for the worst obstacles that life will throw in our path. These brand new skills have dramatically improved my life and the way I view the world. They will do the same for you.

Fantastic experience: I discovered a great trainer at Fort Toujours Fitness. Paris trained me for both a cycling trip in Japan and a hiking trip in Italy. Next up - a golf tournament. The training is perfect and I never experience any strains or pains! I highly recommend Paris and his training programs especially if you have ongoing issues. He listens and develops a plan that addresses the clients specific needs. Perfect for increasing your fitness level and well-being and mental health! A win-win for me and my friends who train with him.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Paris for almost 6 months now and it has truly been life changing. I’ve worked out with many different trainers in my life and have always felt that I hit a ceiling after a certain amount of time, but Paris has really shown me how far I can push myself, inside and outside of the gym. He offers a positive environment to train in and makes everyone feel very comfortable and motivated. His knowledge of anatomy and form is something that really stood out to me as someone who works a physically demanding job and is prone to injury. If you’re looking to reach your goals and push yourself into a healthier lifestyle and mindset.. Run, don’t walk.

Fantastic experience: I started working out with Suliman in August, and it's been great. I've been noticing a lot of changes: my strength and cardio have really increased. The best part is that I really enjoy working out with Suliman. He is an awesome trainer, the workouts are fun and intense. And I enjoy them so much that I' m always looking forward to the next one, even when my muscles are screaming at me! Plus he's just a really great guy and easy to talk to. Fantastic experience: I have been a patron since April 2019. Suliman is a great coach and good at designing workout to what you want achieved. This also include a meal plan designed to give you the best results. As a trainer, he is down to earth but good to push you that extra bit to make sure you get a great workout.

Fantastic experience: Suliman is going to be one of the best trainers you'll find in the city. I came in hesitant about having a personal trainer, thinking "oh I can read up on exercises online and just do this all on my own". Wrong. He has the knowledge to make sure every workout is different. And I don't just mean changing up your bicep routine. He understands what your body needs - before and during every workout - and will adjust the plan as necessary. Maybe a quad is a little tight, or maybe you're just not on point mentally. He's able to get you to work around limitations, and get you back to your best. He pushes you when you need it, makes you focus when you're getting lazy, and cracks jokes when you need a laugh.

Fantastic experience: When I came to Suliman, I had a goal but no means to make it happen. Suli made me a work out plan and within a short time of working with him, I not only saw results but also learned how stay motivated. He pushes me when I need to be pushed and cracks a joke when I get too serious. I actually really love coming to the gym now!

Fantastic experience: Suli best trainer I've ever had!! hes polite, patient and got a good attitude. hes more then willing to push you and make sure, you reach your goals. hes also funny and knows how to make you comfortable. one thing I like the most about this trainer is that he makes sure you don't hurt yourself. he pays close attention to details and how you lift. its been 2 month and I've never been more happy with my results. highly recommend specially if your a shy person he will bring the best out of you.

Fantastic experience: I've had a few different trainers and Suliman has definitely been the most encouraging and knowledgable one. I have seen great results while working with him and cannot wait to continue. He's extremely personable and works with you to understand your goals and creates a program specific to you and your body. He pushes you to your limits, sets you up for success, and helps to create a better you. Couldn't ask for a better trainer!

Fantastic experience: Suli is exceptional. In his attention to detail. In his attention to his clients, which is total. In his focus, which is absolute. I met Suli when I was facing the reality of having committed to the 2017 BC bike race-- a technically and physically demanding 7 day mountain bike race-- with my brother, who is 20 years younger. This was also my first mountain bike race. I am an athlete and methodical by nature and not unaccustomed to activities that require commitment in the extreme. However, at nearly 50, I had a body with a functionality that reflected decades of playing hard and not recovering accordingly. When I met Suli I had mastered the art of management at the expense of some level of performance. I was resigned to that reality. Suli stepped in and helped me change this reality entirely. I recovered functionality and lost athleticism-- I also saw that it was possible to recover form I had at a much younger age and this knowledge was and is powerful. By the time the race came around I was the fittest and strongest I've been possibly ever in my life. More important is that I trusted my body and this confidence enabled me to race with with total confidence and my brother and I did very well. On Labor Day I crashed my mountain bike badly and was out of any sort of training for about 6 weeks. I returned to Suli with new challenges related to rehab and recovery. Suli is gifted. Working with him I recovered quickly through a creative training program involving everything from boxing to floor work to weight training to stretching and more stretching (a challenge for me at the best of times). Once I was ready, I then started a program with new goals related to strength and mobility. Suli is as creative as he is patient and he is all in, whatever the plan. Somehow he has coached me to achieve strength goals that I have really not seen for 20-25 years. Thanks Suli. I've worked with all kinds of "coaches". You are, by contrast, truly the genuine article.

Fantastic experience: Suli is a great trainer. He finds ways to work your body to failure, to promote muscle growth and recovery. The knowledge he endows on you as a client will be phenomenal in helping you achieve your fitness goals, whatever that may be. He doesn’t just train you like a personal trainer. He coaches your movements so that you maximize the output potential locked within the walls of your muscle cells AND your brain cells. You’ll be surprised at what you’re capable of doing with the right amount of push from the right guy. And well. Suli is the right guy. If you’re looking for a personal trainer I’d highly recommend him.

Fantastic experience: Suliman has truely changed my view on fitness. His fun approach to fitness and health has given me a love for working out and achieving my goals. Suliman knows exactly what needs to be done and walks you through the reasoning behind every movement while pushing you to your limits every single session. This allows you to understand why you are doing certain excercsises which makes your workout even more exciting. I was able to gain strength, mass and most importantly I became more confident in every aspect of my life. I truely recommend trying out a session. You can thank me later!

Fantastic experience: I'm really impressed with Suli's training sessions and his training style. The workouts have strengthened my core, and my legs, improved my postural alignment and made me become super motivated in the gym. Fantastic experience: Suliman is by far the best trainer I have ever had. He listens to your goals and helps you works toward them with programs that challenge you mentally and physically. Two things set him apart from other trainers I’ve worked with: his total commitment not just to you the client but to his own learning, and his precision in details. Whether you want to recover from an injury, simply set up some healthy training and living goals or or train for an elite race I recommend him 100%. Suliman you can never leave Vancouver.....!

Fantastic experience: Apart from helping me increase my strength, flexibility, and improve my diet, seeing Suliman has shifted my attitude towards my ability to achieve goals I did not think I was capable of achieving. His focus on perfect form, correct breathing, and his insightful observations into any pains and discomfort has helped increase my strength in a very wholesome way. In addition to creating a work-out that suits my needs, Suliman’s been great at helping define those needs. We’ve been able to work through many physical weaknesses that I was either ignoring or unaware of, and the results have been amazing. He always pushes me when I need the push, but is gentle when he senses an insecurity.

Fantastic experience: Known suli for a long time now and have yet to see him more passionate about anything other than fitness training. His dedication, discipline and knowledge will most definately take him far and provide his clients what they seek. Fantastic experience: Suli is a fantastic trainer! Having known him for a long time, I can attest to his passion for fitness and his continued dedication to professional development. He will make you work harder than you ever though you could, but always takes the time to explain the functionality, reasoning and mechanics behind each exercise. Fantastic experience: Nothing but good things to say! He is punctual, sincere and great at convincing you to do your best! He uses his background knowledge in kinesiology to help target specific muscles and goals. Helps you attain those goals in a fun and productive way, by giving you out of the box style workouts to help you achieve your fitness goals! He is not just another "trainer" lol. Definitely recommended if you want someone that cares about your health and fitness as much as you do!

Fantastic experience: Suliman is a super fun guy to work with - expect a friendly, good natured guy, lots of banter, and above all, a good ass-kicking. He knows a great deal about biomechanics and is equally great at helping you fix weaknesses or injuries or building fitness to suit your specific needs. Friendly attitude, professional results!

Fantastic experience: Suliman has helped me overcome various muscle deficiencies that were causing acute and chronic muscle soreness/tightness. His focus on warming up, stretching and using proper form during the main workout session has resulted in a boost to many of my small muscle groups that had been neglected by my previous workout routine. After subjecting my core to an intense series of workouts over the span of a couple months, I noticed incredible improvement in my all around balance that helped me reach new skill levels in mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing and basketball. I've had no need to go see my physiotherapist as Suliman is just as knowledgeable. I actually tested him by getting his diagnosis for an injury and then going to my physiotherapist and both of their diagnoses were the same, which cemented Suliman as my go to guy for all things muscle, tendon, ligaments and flexibility. It is best to see him at least twice a week and to do all the homework he assigns to see rapid gains in fitness and flexibility. Overall, he is very professional, but also knows how to have fun and can be quite hilarious, which helps to take your mind off of the sometimes very intense workouts. The intensity of the workout is up to you ultimately, but you've got to let him push you to extend your limits. It is a mental game as much as physical, just focus on breathing and follow his instructions. Because he focuses on proper form instead of simply throwing on a lot of weight (like other trainers that are much less educated about proper workout form), I've never been injured during a workout despite pushing my muscles to their breaking point. I don't participate in the meal plans he suggests, however, my friends that stick to these meal plans see faster gains than I do, so this is suggested.

Fantastic experience: Suli is the best. Makes you work but watches closely and knows when you've had enough. As an older adult that's important to me as I don't want to go past my limit. If something hurts he always knows where it's coming from. I've gotten stronger and leaner in the few months we've been working together. Good tips on nutrition too! My 22 year old soccer son also loves to train with Suli! Highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: I never thought I would loose 50 plus pounds, but Sulliman believed in me even when I didn't, he pushed me through the struggle even in my darkest times, he never gave up on me even when I had already given up on my self, I dunno how to thank him his one of my best friends now!

Fantastic experience: In just a few months training with Suliman I can already feel the benefits. I have a very physically demanding job and some of the pains I was bringing home are a non issue any more. When I first started I was in the tail end of my recovery from a fairly severe car accident that resulted in a bad shoulder injury. He focused my training in strengthening my shoulder to prevent further injury as well as helped me recover to a point where I feel comfortable at work and home. Suliman is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, and paired with a great attitude and a friendly smile, it makes getting myself to the gym just that much easier. Highly recommended.
