Fantastic experience: In the area working and have been using this facility to work out. Very friendly and attentive staff and all the weights, machines and cardio equipment to get an effective workout done. Staff does an excellent job with keeping the facility clean and sanitary. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Well equipped, clean, just what you'd want from a gym. Sad about the one bad review about the person getting booted at 9, I work 12's and a lot of people in town do too so that would chaff me pretty too. Still though, I had a good time, great place, will definitely come back.

Negative experience: PLEASE AVOID.I am a healthcare professional who works across all of Alberta, on very short contracts, I was employing my expertise and service to those who lives in the distant part of the province for years now. I have an active membership with a well known and big chain gym in Canada, but in those rural areas they are absent. In this cases I usually go walk-ins at small country gyms. Let me say I never leave a review, but this place does not deserve that rating, for it deserves way lower than a single star, but there was no option for it. This is by far the worst gym I have experienced in Alberta. This is the second day ( and my last ) going to this gym, it closes at 9 officially, after that if you exit you can't reenter without a fob ( you need a full membership for that, and since I am only here for 5 days, I just chose the walk-in option ). In my first day I left at about 10. Today, I ended my work at about 7:15 pm and took a cab, I arrived at about 7:50, there was some kid at the reception, I paid my walk in fee, and proceeded to my workout, only to be interrupted by the kid at 8:15 that " we are closing at 9 and you have to leave " I told her that the gym is full of people and they are staying just like yesterday, she told me "no since they have a membership and a fob they can stay but you can't " I I tried to reason with her and explain my situation and added that I will leave at 10, yet she insisted. I told her ok. At about 9, I found her actually waiting at the door !!!! Waiting for me to get out before she leaves, after I opened the door, she actually followed me out ! I just stood beside the door, for I feared she will follow me further and I grabbed my phone in case I need to call 911 or something. Never had such experience at any gym before, Absolutely disgusting and horrible behavior, avoid like the plague !

Positive experience: Definitely needs an interior upgrade. Equipment all worked a little dated though

Positive experience: Great Gym , decent prices . Big facility , room for more great equipment. Needs more plates for when its busy , its full of old school hard core bodybuilding tools....aka iron plates , iron dumbells. This place is the real Champion!!! Serious places like this are rare .

Fantastic experience: Trained at fitness on the go for years while competing in powerlifting competitions, and just moved back to town. Choosing to exercise at FOTG is an easy pick. They have absolutely everything and anything you need to train provided for any athlete, any skill level. (Heck, I set 4 national records & 1 world record while training exclusively here!). There are tonnes of free weight options, machines, racks, platform area..etc. the list goes on. With this being said, all levels of fitness are at this gym. It is a comfortable “basement style” gym environment with fantastic staff who work hard to keep this gym great! No gym in the town compares to FOTG. The only complaint I can share is that I no longer can purchase a locker in the change room. I never worry that my things will get stolen, but I am hoping this will change in time.

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms I have ever been to. So much variety in equipment and machinery that you don't really have an excuse to not go here when your in Peace River. Well kept, very clean. Can't say enough really.

Fantastic experience: Open big space. Great owner and the gym has most of what you need in the way of free weights, equipment, cardio machines, and classes.
