Fantastic experience: Whenever I need to be humbled I just go to east side jiu jitsu and instant ego death. More affordable than a trip to Peru. Highly recommend for the man or woman that needs a healthy way to therapize themself, find likeminded community and enjoy the second most sweaty fun activity you can have as an adult. Matt and Jayson are gems of human beings and the right amount of nerd that you look for in a jiu jitsu coach! Try it out, you won’t regret it.

I can tell you that the instructors are not only excellent at what they do, but they are lovely human beings!! If you are hesitent to try out Jiu Jit su, don't worry, your life will change!!

Fantastic experience: If you wanna support a grassroot local small business with caring talented instructors this is the place for you. They're kid program is above and beyond. The adult program is welcoming and friendly and has belt of all colours. Most of the members have been with the club since the begining and thats because Mat is an amazing leader. A blackbelt who teaches the kid classes and adult classes alike, he is calm patient, he listens and practices his chops by competing. Jayson the co-owner is a purple belt who is dedicated to learning the sport and sharing with others. Both of these men (and all the other instructors Rachel, Jason, Josh) are dedicated students of the sport who are amazing at passing down their knowledge. This is no Mcdojo, they are actually training competitors while still being open to hobbiest & beginners. I highly recommend you join this club

Fantastic experience: I've been training BJJ at this fantastic place for 1 month now. I'm learning how to control my mind and body through EJJ Club and it's having a positive impact on me. Also, the kindness of the all coaches and team members has made it easier for me to settle in here, even though it's only been a month. If you want to train BJJ, I would recommend this place to you very confidently. Most of all, I'm sure it would be a great place for someone who is just starting out. Whether you want to train BJJ for fun, fitness, self defence or competition, EJJ will welcome you with open arms. The only time I’m not happy at the gym is when it’s time to get off the mats and go home!

Fantastic experience: I resumed my jiu-jitsu journey Dec '22 after an eleven year hiatus, and brought my six year old daughter along with me. I was looking for a small to medium sized gym that we could grow with and couldn't be happier with our decision to go with Eastside. No matter what your goal is , whether for fitness, sport, or competition, Matt and the supporting instructors can help you get there. The kids training is taken very seriously, with instruction being provided by Matt, a black belt. He provides real jiu-jitsu training while incorporating an appropriate amount of BJJ games to develop skills while keeping the kids engaged. An added bonus are the social events that are held on a monthly basis - a great way to get to know your training partners and make new friends!

There’s always a positive and welcoming energy when walking in, which was super important for me when I first started jiu-jitsu. They offer a variety of classes and exclusively an all women’s class. They have great instructors and awesome training. I would recommend Eastside Jiu-Jitsu to anyone who is starting out or continuing.

So many programs are offered, great prices, and amazing coaches throughout. I started training with Matt and Rachael a little over a year ago and have learnt so much already, they are both so patient and helpful. Eastside’s community is great, everybody is so friendly, smiles everywhere, and always a great time.

Fantastic experience: For me being new to Brazilian jujitsu was very intimidating. However right from my first class I was made to feel like I was part of the family. From the women’s only classes to fundamental and even some no gi! Everyone is always happy to help teach. Matt and Rachael are amazing teachers.
