Positive experience: GoodLife in Tantallon is a high school gym ‍♂️ but other than that it’s a nice little gym.

Positive experience: I have been at the gym since its opening. I have always been happy with the staff and membership. One issue I have raised with staff is a tendency of some young people to hog equipment while scrolling on their phones. I no longer worry about being tactful with these people since the staff seem to have no interest in addressing the matter.

Negative experience: unfortunately its not spacious. machines are kinda cramped to one another. a bit dated as well I m afraid. not terrible though. good variety of machines. its just my taste. I prefer space when I workout.

Fantastic experience: Very caring staff

Negative experience: Undeniably the worst GoodLife location I’ve ever visited. It’s a zoo run by the animals. Between 2-6 everyday it’s a junior and high school gym class. Often I find myself working at a machine surrounded by teens (4-6) using one machine and the rest just hanging. Employees don’t enforce their own rules and allow them to just sit on machines and chat. They need to enforce their own rules and make the gym a place for everyone.

Fantastic experience: This is by far my favouite gym. On top of it being clean and well organized, all of the staff are very friendly and make a point to get you know you. It makes it that much more encouraging to go when you're not just another number walking through the door!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Tantallon Goodlife since it opened. The management and staff create a welcoming and supportive community for everybody. Tantallon Goodlife is my happy place.

Fantastic experience: Tantallon Good life has been a part of my life for almost 20 years, the staff are very knowledgeable, wiling to help and always greet you with a smile when you walk in. I have done classes and also workout amid all the teens on the floor and have never had an issue.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of gyms my whole life aadn when I moved to the Tantallon area 12 years ago I was so pleased to find a gem . A very small but ever so mighty gym. Staff is always so welcoming and cheerful, they keep the place well in tact, and there is a strong sense of community within its walls.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this club for over six years and have nothing but great things to say about it. Management and staff are friendly and always greet you by your first name, facilities are clean and well taken care off. Since COVID-19 started, this club have become my sanctuary and helped me stay healthy, both physically and mentally. Going to the gym is definitely a highlight of my day and Liz and her team are a big part of it. I am doing group fitness classes four times a week and instructors are amazing. There is definitely a sense of the community when you are attending this club. I would highly recommend it. Thank you for all the hard work you are doing, I truly appreciate it.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I are two of the longest standing members of this gym as we signed up when it opened in Dec 1999. All the staff over the years have been friendly and helpful. Although we don’t have kids, I love seeing them engaged in fitness and how the gym promotes enrolment for the youth summer program. Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone. You’ll feel welcome there for sure.

Fantastic experience: Tantallon GoodLife has been my home for over 10 years. The environment, the people and the staff is what makes Tantallon GoodLife so special. Even when I lived in the city I’d make the drive out to Tantallon everyday because that gym was a second home to me.

Fantastic experience: I love the convenience and location of this gym however, it is the staff and the group classes that keep me coming back. The friendly welcome and cheerful goodbye are always appreciated. My favorite group fitness instructors, Michelle and Liz, keep me motivated and smiling (despite what I may be screaming in my head!)

Fantastic experience: Despite being back and forth between various provinces for the past few years, GoodLife Tantallon is always my home-base gym. Every time I return, it’s like I’d never left! The staff are kind and helpful, and the community atmosphere is like no other.

Fantastic experience: I just finally joined and to be very honest I have never liked the gym, but to my surprise I actually look forward to seeing all the teenagers hanging out and working out together, those teenagers could be doing so many worst things. I love how the staff treat you like they have known you for years. I really am enjoying my time at this gym. What can you ask for getting exercise and socializing all at the same place. Win win

Negative experience: Nicely run Gym but crazy day rates. My 13 yr old daughter wanted to just try out the gym for an hour or so to see if she would like to purchase a membership. The only option was to pay $25 day pass. What happened to the complimentary "trial run"?

Negative experience: This gym is overrun by high-school students who take up space while socializing, so we canceled our membership. But we have recently noticed that 22 weeks after ending our membership that GoodLife is still charging our credit card...Be careful before you choose this gym and watch your credit card bill after you leave. I am waiting for a refund.

Fantastic experience: I've been a goodlife member for over 10 years, and have been a frequent attendee at multiple locations in that time. This is, by far, the best in Halifax. The staff are professional, friendly, and actually care about the people that attend. The facilities are well maintained, the cleaning is thorough, and the experience is great. They've navigated restrictions and guidelines due to the pandemic in superb fashion. Thank you to the whole staff for giving the community a space that we can use to escape the craziness in the world. You are all the best!

Fantastic experience: Hands down one of the best experiences I've had with a gym. The staff are amazing and keep the gym looking spotless and clean. The staff are very encouraging and incredibly helpful in aiding anyone who is new to fitness find a plan that fits their needs and goals. They're always positive and truly care about your success in the journey you're on! It is a bit of a smaller gym, however you get to know the staff and other patrons very well and it quickly became a home away from home for me.

Negative experience: Not worth the money and they harass you til you sign a contract for a year and read the small print prices vary

Fantastic experience: Yes this is a small gym, although the staff is very pleasant, always clean and well maintained. Lots of equipment and overall good facility. The 24 hour option is ideal, and the studio is great !

Negative experience: Tried to get a membership for my 15 year old son and they wanted a signed contract for a year at over 50 dollars per month. Outrageous!

Positive experience: I really liked this gym. It's kind of old and small, but it makes up for it in atmosphere and friendliness. It has the weirdest door locks to get in, but I guess it's good for a 24 hour gym.
