Fantastic experience: One of the finest planet fitness location in GTA, its crowded these days but so many people have their “new year resolutions “ going strong this month, which will eventually fade away in February and hopefully will be less crowded.

Negative experience: Was In hospital for almost a month. Emailed the head office explaining to place my membership on hold and they kept asking me to call in to discuss. I didn't have my phone and was unable to place the membership on hold. Really bad service. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of care for their members is unacceptable. A company that cannot prioritize basic human decency should not be in business. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a gym that values its customers and provides compassionate service.

Fantastic experience: Whitby Planet Fitness is always a pleasure to visit! The gym is clean, quiet, and well maintained, creating a welcoming environment for workouts. I’m always seeing staff cleaning lol. The front desk staff are friendly and always greet you with a smile, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. It’s a great place to stay motivated and enjoy a positive fitness experience.

Fantastic experience: Clean facility, friendly staff. I have no complaints. Only critique is that there’s no enforcement at the circuit training, no-one abides by 1min and move dictated by lights. People sit at equipment.

Positive experience: Biggest issue at the moment is the "I don't give a shit about your issue, really" generic responses from the owner in these Google reviews lol. Extremely small gym, the sudden change from 24 HOURS!!! to closing at 7pm on weekends. No bench press bar (at least 1, come on now), the exorbitant amount of treadmill and ridiculously small free weight area. I am very happy about how close it is to my home and so far had decent experience with their staff.

Negative experience: The guy at the receipt desk on Sunday, Aug 11 seems quite irritated. I came in at 6:45 pm and did not know the gym closes at 7 pm (misleading info out there they are open 24 hours). The guy said oh we close in 5 mins. I was like it’s only 6:45 and I have got 15 mins. He was like oh no today we close 5 mins early. I pushed back and said I’m going to workout for whatever time is left. Bottom line is, the franchise should either train their staff properly or hire more staff to increase the hours. I will not come back to this location.

Positive experience: Very small gym. Not for the overly dedicated. Only good for early morning or midnight workouts. Rush hour would be a nightmare

Positive experience: Lots of free weights and equipment. Dumbbells up to 75lbs and barbells up to 60lbs but you can go heavier on the machines. 24 hour locations give a lot of flexibility on when you can go workout.

Negative experience: Annoying staff and management and horrible new hours

Negative experience: I signed up as this was a 24 hour gym and the hours have recently been changed so that the early morning folks (like myself) and the late night guys are no longer permitted to work out. To top it all off their "crowd meter" that shows how busy the gym on their website still shows that people are there at hours when the gym is closed. How strange! Seems like false advertising to me. I'm definitely not the only one having trouble with this and the next closest Planet Fitness gyms are either Pickering or Oshawa both of which are at least a 20 minute drive away. Their air conditioning was also not working today so I cut my workout short as it was so uncomfortable. For a "judgement free zone" I'm certainly feeling working out really early is no longer judged to be worthwhile. I think I'm going to need to change my "home gym" so that my local spot doesn't get my money anymore. It doesn't matter to me if it goes belly up because I'm going to have to drive to another gym anyways to get my work out in. Who gets to pay for my gas and time now that I've got to go to this extra effort?

Negative experience: Need to cancel my membership because of the fact that they suddenly changed the operating hours, on the weekend just till 7, Friday till 9

Negative experience: Loved the gym at the beginning of. Joined because it was 24hrs, and have to start work early. It not a 24 hr gym as advertised. Do I get a discount……. The lack of hours due to staffing is hurting your regulars

Positive experience: This has become bit of school/college gym way too many kids come and occupy most equipment in groups. This gym is small ans has disproportionately more treadmills instead of more machines

Negative experience: Attempted theft; On my first day at the gym, my lock was broken, my belongings were searched and opened, but luckily I had my valuable belongings with me.

Negative experience: Not 24/7 effective near the end of June, absolutely disappointing

Fantastic experience: The staff is great and the gym is clean. But, the trainer and her classes are the best part of this gym and why I keep going. Jheanelle truly cares about getting to know every single member in her classes. She pushes us when she knows our strengths and supports us when we have limitations. She spends time, outside of work, creating new plans for workouts to keep challenging us. Thank you Jeahnelle!

Fantastic experience: Signing up process online is much easier.

Positive experience: Good Gym, staff upfront not so good, they find ways of irritating customers.

Negative experience: I have been there today to get some basic information but unfortunately i found front desk staffs are very unprofessional. They were reluctant to provide information that i required. However, the location was equipped with very modern equipment.

Positive experience: Temperature of the gym is unacceptable. Way to hot for a good workout! Reached out to area manager, said they are working on it. I don't see anyone working on anything. Two fans going on top of low ceilings cause dry eyes. Reevaluating .....

Positive experience: I would actually give this place 4 and a half stars if I could. This is a good, solid all-around gym. Plenty of cardio machines, lots of weight machines, and enough free weights and benches. Obviously it gets much busier during peak times, but either in the morning or after about 845 at night there are enough people to keep the gym lively but not so many that you can't get your workout done. It is vastly superior to its nearest competitor in this regard. It has some amenities like tanning beds, hydro-therapy, etc. which are a nice addition but not what I go to the gym for. The gym is clean and machines are fixed promptly when they break down. The staff is friendly and helpful. I am very happy with my decision to get a membership here and highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Is the gym small? yes, yes it is. Probably about half the size of a normal Planet Fitness. Once you get over that it is a great place to workout especially if you have the opportunity to go at times that are not traditionally busiest like Monday evenings. Has pretty much everything you need and is clean which is a bonus not to mention the incredible value.

Negative experience: Enrique at Planet Fitness isn't nice. He talks mean and doesn't act like he cares about customers. It makes me not want to go there anymore. I don't think others should go there either until they fix this.

Positive experience: Great and affordable gym with adequate equipment, given the smaller space. Conveniant access to public transit as well as many stores in the vicinity, including Walmart. Friendly staff on hand to help with any questions or concerns!

Fantastic experience: I recently started there and made it my main gym. Affordable membership. Good quality and service. Only 15 min drive from me with much parking space area. Consistent operating hours 24/7. The inside is small, clean, and has a good variety of equipment. The only thing I haven't used yet is the showers but overall satisfied.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to highlight trainer Jheanelle for leading challenging and great core classes along with so many other classes. Her energy and attention to each members ability and fitness level is fantastic. Her professionalism, knowledge and making you feel a warm welcome is why I keep booking her classes.

Positive experience: Great place to work out, however it is way too hot in there. The indoor temperature should be cooler, when you're working out and heart rate increases, with it being so warm makes you light headed. I mentioned this to the guys at the front desk, so we'll if it improves

Negative experience: Today evening 16/01/224 4pm new manager spoke me very loudly and rooted.. attitude not good he is not right person at the gym…..

Fantastic experience: I switched to this gym after Christmas break and it has been beyond amazing. The staff is super helpful and polite. It's very clean and supplies are always fully stocked. If I can't figure out how to do an exercise or have a question their trainers have been a big help with suggestions. If anything, some of the guys bringing their girlfriends/wives should let the trainers do their thing because I'm concerned some of these people might get hurt listening to them. It would be nice if the trainers would step in just to ensure their safety during workouts. Especially since the training is free! (But I understand if for liability reasons they can't) Love the app when it lets you know how busy it'll be and the community here so far has been very welcoming and supportive. Keep it up!

Fantastic experience: Good bang for your buck

Positive experience: Friendly staff, clean facility, but the heat was blasting! It felt like hot yoga! I like working out in a cool environment. I’m also not sure if there are any group fitness classes here?

Negative experience: Whitby location is no longer 24/7...is this place next? UNACCEPTABLE!

Negative experience: Unsettling Experience at Whitby North Submitted a formal complaint about Enrique, the assistant manager, for his condescending tone towards customers and coworkers. Despite reaching out to corporate, the area manager, and store manager via email, no response received. Concerned about the impact on the new gym’s reputation, atmosphere and member experience. Currently, his actions create a really unsettling environment for me and my family to go-in. Might swap back to previous gym thanks to the no commitment contract!

Negative experience: I have been to almost every planet fitness in Ontario, this is the worst size and layout I have seen Way too small, the change rooms are somehow worse than bowmanvilles, no seating in front for your bag just a shared bench in the middle The weight section is very small and in a L shape, you can't help blocking others from using the mirror or making awkward eye contact with strangers The staff is the only reason I'm not giving it a 1 star, very nice people.

Positive experience: Finally! The much anticipated PF is open! A tad underwhelming cause it is small. Noticeably smaller than the Pickering location but beggars can't be choosers right? Staff are friendly but don't seem to enforce the dress code here. This location isn't really much of a "judgement free zone" considering the women walk around half naked. Sports bras, short shorts and all. What's the point of having a dress code if it's not going to be enforced? Otherwise it's a decent spot. Plenty of parking, easy to find and for the $15 price point it's worth it so far. I'll re-evaluate after the January rush to see if it will get overcrowded. Cheers!

Positive experience: YAY! New gym! So far so good here. The only downside to this location is it is small. Compared to the Oshawa location this one does not have lots of room for extra machines. I do love the layout of everything but once this location starts to get more busy I feel it may be a problem for some waiting on machines.
