Negative experience: I enrolled myself there. I need assistance to use the machinery because I never been to gym & if I’ll try by myself and if there is damaged then off course I’ll be responsible only. Next day I went there nobody was there to assist me. The person who enrolled me I requested to him as well that I would need assistance on my first day. But nobody answered my call and nobody was there. I leave voice not as well but no response, I messaged on Instagram on their official page but still no response, I am calling them from last two days. Isn’t it’s wastage of my hard earned money and my time, if you can’t provide assistance to someone after requesting. I would not suggest anyone to go there.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and organized gym. The staff are amazing! Enjoying their semi sessions as it gives me an opportunity to meet new people and gives me the extra push I need.
Fantastic experience: I joined Anytime Fitness in Alliston mid January and it the best thing I could have done. Super friendly staff. Carley was the first trainer I met and she has been helping me ever since. Even with a broken arm she showed me different exercises to maximize my time and effort. She convinced me to do their 21 day fitness challenge, which has been awesome. I've seen results already in the first week. In my opinion she is the type of trainer that knows her stuff, knows when to push someone hard and when to take it easy and encourage them when they need most. I definitely made a great choice when joining here.

Negative experience: Experience at anytime fitness. This is the most bizarre and horrible customer experience I have ever encountered. I joined Anytime last week and required a refresher on the equipment as I was a previous member, no tour was necessary. I had always enjoyed my time at the gym and worked with personal trainers. Carley was happy to ensure I was comfortable remembering how to set the machines for distance and how to use them. We went to the weight room where she demonstrated 3 arm exercises with a 10 lbs weight, I thanked her and continued on my own exercising and she went off with her next client. This week I received an abrupt and rude call from Chantal stating effective immediately my membership has been terminated due to the fact Carley was in hospital with a broken arm and that I was responsible for her injury. I was told that Carley had informed me she had a sustained injury to her arm but I had insisted she lift the weights to demonstrate. I asked to come in and meet with the staff and owner as this simply was not true and there was an obvious miscommunication. I was denied the courtesy. I have been accused, tried and convicted. I am so insulted at the fact that these two young women are implying that I had no regard for Carley if she was injured. I have 6 children 5 grandchildren and am very much a Motherly type. I am bewildered at the fact that Carley did not cry out in pain, or show an indication of being injured. There was no investigation no incident report that I was interviewed for details of the incident in question. I would welcome and appreciate so much to have a courtesy call from the owner to have someone explain as I am left perplexed and very saddened over this whole experience. Thank you Rosemary Andreozzi Your response is even more perplexing. So many untruths. Huge disappointment. someone's not being honest and what their motive would be is what is most confusing. None of those words came out of my mouth. I feel like I am in the twilight zone!
Hello Rosemary, This situation had been discussed with senior management before the follow up call took place with you. It’s was explained to you that your membership was terminated effective immediately due to the behaviour you exhibited towards our personal trainer during your fitness consultation. To clarify the information you have provided in your review, Carley was not in the hospital due to her interaction with you. The reason your membership was terminated was due to you stating that you wanted Carley to pick up a dumbbell with her broken wrist to “prove it was broken”. Carley began to show you how to use the free weights safely during movement. Upon demonstrating with only one arm you asked why she was not using both hands to demonstrate. At that time Carley explained to you that she had a broken wrist. This would have also been very clear to see as she is in a heavy duty splint that was not covered by clothes. Carley also stated she would show you a video of both arms being utilized for the movement. She then began to show you another movement with dumbbells and you again asked her how she would not show you with both arms as a personal trainer should do. Carley again reminded you that she had a broken wrist and at that time is when you asked her to lift the weights to prove it to you. This behaviour is simply unacceptable and had Carley attempted to lift the weight to “prove” to you then she very well could have caused further injury to her wrist. As you stated in your review, you are a former member. You would be well aware that we expect the facility, other members and staff to be respected at all time. There was no miscommunication as you claim. This is a very straight forward situation of behaviour that is unacceptable in our facility and quite frankly anywhere! We wish you all the best with your future health and wellness.
Negative experience: The Current Manger is so unapproachable and very rude. I was accused of wearing a sports bra as a top when I wasn't even at the gym that say and received a call saying there was an issue and need to come in when it wasn't even me. And recently I was locked out of the gym because it hadn't been 2 weeks since my second shot when on no email or call I received it say I has to wait two weeks. And I had been trying to go to the gym on the weekend and was locked out. I left at message at the gym and still heard anything by 3pm on the Monday and therefore had to call again and the manger claim she told me about having to wait when there is no record of it on my end. I am extremely unsatisfied with the customer service and they way I was spoken to by the manger very unprofessional.
Hello Dayna, We have followed up with the club manager in regards to this review. We are happy to hear that you accepted the 50% credit on your account for the time you were not able to access the club due to the government mandate requiring proof of full vaccination which includes a 14 day waiting period after your second dose. We did send out multiple emails to our members in advance about the mandate with the last one outlining the 14 day waiting period. We are sorry you were not able to attend the club this weekend but we do have to follow all guidelines in the mandate. Again we are happy to retain you as a member and that you have accepted the 50% membership rate credit as compensation.
Negative experience: Just heard of a friend that is a truck driver that bought a membership only to be told later he couldn’t access the building because he trucked to the USA, and they refused to give him a refund and are threatening collections if he doesn’t continue to pay! Sounds pretty underhanded to me! Beware!
Hello Lauri, We don’t refuse anyone access to the building, unless they are not a member or there is a legal reason. Travelling to the USA certainly does not qualify. We have been in this pandemic for more than 18 months and you should know everyone must go thru active screening before entering a business. Once they pass all the questions they may enter. The delay for entry is a relatively short period and does not require a refund, as the gym is available to the member once they are clear. We don’t threaten people with collections as it is the last resort, since neither party wins. If this is in fact a valid concern your friend should contact us so we can remedy the situation. Clearly not all the information has been brought forward in this review as this is not how we conduct our business.

Negative experience: I am so disappointed in this gym, Management & customer service is horrible - Tried to reach the operations manager over a membership cancellation issue i had cleared up with him a few weeks before when they opened after Covid and was refused over and over again by the "Manager". The Manager that i spoke to was so rude and inconsiderate, she didn't try to clear up the misunderstanding and ended up charging me a ridiculous amount to cancel. Don't waste your money!!

We have reviewed your membership profile and can see that you had a conversation with a team member and made an appointment for August 17, 2020 to come into the club to pay your past due balance and begin a cancellation. You did not attend that appointment and did not communicate with us for close to two months after that date. Not addressing your membership back in August left your membership in a delinquent status and continuing to accumulate a higher balance. We can also see that the manager waived all late fees and service associated with your past due balance accumulated over 90 days. Positive experience: I've been going to this gym for a little over 8 months and I really do enjoy it. It's not huge but it's a good size layout and I usually go when it's not busy, the don't have a huge selection of equipment but freeweights make up for it. No pool or sauna but there are individual washrooms with showers and also the option to do tanning. Staff is friendly and helpful as well. Great place to workout at :)

Fantastic experience: Always clean and reasonably priced, but don’t go here! I don’t want more people around while at the gym haha. Seriously though, they have what you need to exercise and fully private washrooms with showers! Very clean and well organized place.
Fantastic experience: This is probably the best Anytime Fitness is the area. It's well kept, the equipment is spaced nicely, the weights are usually racked properly and the staff is polite. Compared to the locations in Barrie, Bolton, Bradford, and Midland this one is a gem.

Negative experience: I represent myself and Gabrielle, we had canceled not put on freeze and was told we were taken care of and had to give back the key fob without our deposit back then why is there a need for emails etc.. this agian is false and all they do is either say you were not a member on bad reviews or just deny everything with false information ! This is wrong and you should stop doing this to people, I would suggest anyone looking for a gym in Alliston to choose anyone but this one !! Save the headache and your $$$
Hello Adam, Our systems as well as ABC Financial do not have the ability to fabricate information as it is all time stamped from the system directly. Phone records can also confirm out going and incoming calls. The documentation used to freeze both of your memberships has both of your signatures and initials and our staff thoroughly go over all documentation before any signatures are done. We document all changes made to accounts for this exact reason. We thoroughly investigated to make sure no mistakes had been made and all documentation in our system as well as ABC Financial and Kingston Data and Collection are consistant with each other. Negative experience: Myself and my bf joined this gym about 2 years ago, we had got into an accident unfortunately and had to cancel a lady there told us to come in sign a paper and return key fobs, we did , and was told it was taken care of and to get better .....a year later we have a 400$ fee on each of our credits now because of anytime, and the lady that said we were takin care of was no longer working there, and they cannot find the paper we signed, this is not our fault so beware of this facility they lie and have no customer service whatsoever !!! No sympathy and even the owner said if i put this review up he would get the cops involved ???! seriously!! very sad... we just speak the truth !
Hello Gabrielle Riepole, Once again, here is the email you were sent explaining the findings of our investigation and all of the conversations and documentation of events. Thank you. Hello Adam and Gabrielle, I am following up with you both in regards to both of your membership balances being with Kingston Data and Collections. After speaking with you Adam I did a thorough investigation in to yours and Gabrielles memberships as you had stated that you had cancelled both memberships back in February of 2017. After pulling both files I can see that your membership was put on freeze back at the end of February but was not cancelled. The freeze forms were initialled and signed by both yourself and Gabrielle and clearly stated that it was a freeze and that your membership would be active again on 04/10/17. Then on 04/28/17 Gabrielle contacted the club and I happened to be the one to take the call. She explained that both her and your membership dues had NSF'ed and that she was struggling to get caught up from the service fees adding up and that you also had to have your dog in for surgery. I did her a favour and moved both her and your 04/24/17 and 05/08/17 dues to the end of your one year agreement to try to help you both get caught up. Your next scheduled membership draft date was 05/22/17 and we were informed by ABC financial on 05/30/17 that the bank account we had on file was closed. Since that time our staff as well as ABC financial have made multiple attempts to get your outstanding balance sorted out but we have had no response. I have listed below additional dates of attempted contact from our staff and notes that were indicated on both of your files. 06/14/17 - VM left for Gabrielle about bank account closed and past due balance 06/14/17 - club manager spoke to adam regarding past due balance and bank account status and he stated he would have gabrielle contact us to get it sorted out but we never heard from her. 07/19/17 - Email sent to both regarding past due balance 08/03/17 - Email sent out to both as a final notice to deal with account. I have copied Janet Lee from our corporate office as well as Cheryl Fraser from Kingston Data and Collections in this email so that all parties are aware of our communication. At this time both of your and Gabrielles accounts will stay with Kingston Data and Collections as they are both Valid debts owing, please make arrangements with Cheryl to clear up these balances as we do not want an further actions taken for collections.
