Fantastic experience: Always a clean, friendly gym. Very convenient to start and to cancel the membership. I never had a bad experience.

Negative experience: The gym is tiny with too much squished into the small space. The free weights are just in the middle of the machined and there is no open floor space to use free weights or to do stretches. It doesn't even have a water fountain

Negative experience: Beware - they will not refund your trial even after a month of calling **If you look at other reviews in the past this issue has been going on despite negative feedback** Signed up for their 7 day trial promotion and was told that the deposit would be refunded if I decided to cancel. The gym size was a bit small for my taste and they said they would cancel the credit card charge. This didn’t happen and I called the line and spoke with their employees/interns probably close to 6-7 times. Spoke with the owner Charles as well. Each time, they “promise” they will cancel it on their end, and that they would send an email as confirmation. It has been over a month now and still have 110$ charged to my account. I have not received a confirmation email from them either. Just not acceptable and unprofessional

Negative experience: Terrible experience with Anytime Fitness Manotick location. Would give 0 stars if it were an option. First of all i signed up on August 16th, I got charged twice in September (the 4th and the 18th) after sending an email (got no reply) about cancelling since the state of the gym is laughable. Exposed electrical panels right beside exercise equipment. Thermostats hanging off the walls. I called in a few times with no reply and when I finally got a reply (after calling 3 times in a row) on September 22nd I went into the managers office to give back my key fob and cancel my membership. I was told I’d get an email stating I cancelled my membership and a refund on one of the payments in September but instead I got no email and they charged me on the 2nd of October. Terrible business and even worse trying to get a hold of someone who can actually cancel a membership and refund me for 2 months of payments that should have never been taken off my card in the first place. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT ANYTIME FITNESS MANOTICK!! It’s a scam and a joke of a gym. Hoping to solve this problem before getting charged again and again for a gym I went to twice.

Positive experience: Clean convenient and well equipped

Fantastic experience: My New Happy Place. Been here for about 2 months now. Definitely the best decision I’ve made coming from a large club facility. Management is consistently great and no B.S at sign up. Equipment and Bathrooms are always clean and they have everything you’d need. Top notch.

Fantastic experience: This is a great little gym, it has everything you need, it’s clean, bright and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Even though Covid protocols are in place and are followed strictly, I decided it was best that I cancel my membership due to underlying medical conditions. Charles the owner, canceled the membership right away with understanding and professionalism.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone. They have been charging my girlfriend for months on end after 3 times she has repeatedly discussed she wanted to cancel her membership and they I guess refuse to do so. Quick to sign people up and take their money but won’t follow through with canceling memberships. Also during this second COVID closure they have still been charging her. Only fitness facility I know of to do so lots of people are out of work and these guys are still charging a membership when their facility isn’t even open. I spoke with the owner and he stated she needs to now send a letter stating she wants to cancel hmm funny, he’s had 3 different “‘managers” tell her yes I will cancel your policy ASAP over the phone and still nothing. Again horrible operation and horrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: Great facility, clean and UP TO COVID protocols. Staff is amazing and it’s always good energy when you enter the building

Negative experience: Staff are poorly trained and don’t have ability to cancel memberships (but can sign you up for one lol). Had to go in 3 times to get everything sorted and I wasn’t even given my full deposit for the key fob back. For some reason they took the tax and I couldn’t even bring myself to argue at that point. The gym itself is nice.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with how easy it was to get set up and going with personal training at this gym! Charles in particular was very accomodating and was very patient and responsive in answering my questions. Top notch customer service - thank you!

His background in bodybuilding also makes him a great point of reference for anyone looking to transform their body and live a healthier life. Highly recommend this place!

Negative experience: The pics on the web-site are false advertising ... its WAY smaller than indicated. It looks like its 1/3 the size .... The washroom doors were dirty ... it wasn't a good experience at all. I'm not sure if they downsized to save rent money .... I will not be returning

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible place ! The owner/staff never return any of my calls or emails. Been trying for months to get ahold of them to cancel a membership for health reasons and nobody gets back to you. Very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody.

Negative experience: I have tried to get a membership during their staffed hours but have never seen anyone there, even sent en email out to the manager and never got a reply. Best to use the one on Barrhaven marketplace.

Negative experience: I had the same experience as you Suzanne Keefe-Byrne. I just got off the phone with the new owner. He told me I was in a year contract and could not cancel my membership. I had been told by the previous owner when I signed up that I could cancel with a certain number of months notice. Not so. So I just had a nice lecture from the new owner about how I should have read the back of the contract - NICE!

Negative experience: Watch yourself if you sign up with Anytime Fitness KEMPTVILLE they tell you to initial the contract so that IF you renew your membership you'll get it at the same price. BIG SCAM. Your actually resigning up for month to month for AFTER your first year. Beware lesson learned. My bank told me this is their common practice make sure you email them to leave or keep paying when you think your membership is over. Lesson learned.

Fantastic experience: This gym is a Manotick gold-mine. This is the only Ottawa area gym that offers so much knowledge in a perfectly sized package. The ownership group has the knowledge to help anyone, at any level of fitness.
