Fantastic experience: I started at this gym a couple months ago finally made the switch from GL to here. I was looking for a gym with more equipment and a better range. This gym 100% had what I needed, and I started seeing peak progress when I made the switch. The lighting in the gym itself is a really great perk for those progress photos, and the merch is always If you want a gym that actually pushes you to be the best version of yourself I seriously recommend The Den. The community of people does not compare to any other, everyone is so welcoming and supportive including the owners who work so hard to meet everyone’s needs. The environment here really just cannot be beat.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, sure the price is a lot higher than other commercial gyms like GoodLife. However the experience and community you’re surrounded by is something you won’t find anywhere’s else. Everyone is extremely friendly and willing to share lots of advice should you need it. The staff is always amazing and willing to explain how to use any of their equipment any time, and love to get to know their members. Theres a great, intense atmosphere that pushes you. And they have great equipment, lots of cables and leg machines you can’t find anywheres else.

Fantastic experience: After hearing about this gym since they opened, I was finally able to stop by since I’m working in the area. What I can tell you about this gym is that the vibe is unbeatable. You are greeted with a smile by not only the staff, but also everyone working out. The culture created by the owners is contagious and before you know it, you’re pushing yourself harder than ever. I mean you don’t even need to worry about wearing headphones because the music is always on point. can’t say that about any commercial gym in the history of ever. You won’t find another gym like this in the city!

I have been running back and forth for a year from my home in LA to Edmonton so I am a total outsider but I feel nothing but welcome here from everyone…vibe very similar to Gold’s Venice with a lot of people focused on their health and exercise but always willing to say hi and encourage! An amazing gym!

Fantastic experience: Haven’t had the opportunity to workout at the Den after an Mva 19 months ago left me with a shattered radial head, half my face etc and I just got revision surgery that also ended in a perforated/ripped bowel. Though I’ll be in the hospital a while still and unable to get to the Den; what I can attest to is 2/3 owners Braedan & Tyler who since my injury pointed me in the right Direction with getting health in order after years of hard bodybuilding practices. Both these guys have countless times given me free advice at no charge written me paragraph on paragraph with no expectations in return. Honestly, the gym speaks for itself. Equipment, their apparel line and the overwhelming cleanliness that they have set in place. I dont think you need to be genius to know that if you want the best equipment, environment and quality of character during your workouts so you can attain your fitness goals; this place has it. The fact that these three you owners who come from humble roots are at the forefront and are the brains of the operation, should only further your desire to walk through these doors. You’ll be hard pressed to find more empathetic, passionate, compassionate people. They present themselves well with great style (personally and their gym) and physiques and all their coaches have the knowledge in spades to help you reach your goals. You won’t regret walking into the Den

Fantastic experience: The Den embodies all areas of a gym. Whether that be personal health, maintenance, bodybuilding, transforming your physique, building that booty or just going for a pump. This gym has an amazing atmosphere that accepts all types of goals. This gym has zero judgement. Whether you wanna build that booty, grow a massive back and tree trunks. This gym has every piece of equipment necessary. They also have some old school pieces that aren’t being made anymore and they are an unreal experience. The posing room with stage lights is an exceptional touch. They also do random $5 drop ins. If you’re looking for a gym in Edmonton, this place is a straight up vibe. Highly recommend.

Some pieces of equipment may seem old but these are classic pieces that hit the muscle in ways some new pieces just don’t which is why they’re there. True lifters know the value of this place.

Fantastic experience: I saw that someone had left a one star review here so I had to give my two cents on The Den. This one’s for you Tyler, I got you. I’ve been going to the den almost everyday since the day they opened. I’ve trained at lots of different gyms in & around the city and I will not be going back to any of them. The Den could charge me $100+ per month and I’d still go. Their equipment is top notch, good luck finding some of their pieces anywhere else. They regularly update the equipment & layout to make it more optimal. They listen to their members about what people want to see be added, or want to see gone, and it actually happens. I’ve met the owners on several occasions and they’re incredibly hard working and passionate about the space they’ve created. They regularly host events with catering and draws to give back to their community and I’m privileged to be a part of it. Which brings me to my next point. The Den is the only gym that has felt like my own. (Obviously I don’t own it) It’s a place where I feel welcome, and like I belong. Every member is respectful and cares for the space like it’s their own. I’m comfortable filming my content when it’s not busy, and i see lots of other people doing it as well. It’s a place to pursue your goals, where everyone lifts each other up while they purse their own. I could write for hours about how much I love this gym but you get the idea. Check it out for yourself and you won’t be disappointed, newbie or veteran, doesn’t matter. As for the guy that complained about there only being one set of dumbbells for each weight. Respectfully wait 2mins for the other guy to finish. Or man up and press an extra 5lbs, I’m sure you can manage. ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: This by far the best gym I have ever been to. The equipment is amazing and the dumbbell rack is insane. I have been an active gym goer for almost 25 years and have never been as consistently injury free as I have been since joining the Den - I attribute that to the equipment and also the community they foster. Everyone i have encountered is super friendly and you never have to be shy if you need help - multiple times people have come over to offer a spot as I’m failing. The owners are always available to answers questions or address concerns - not like most corporate gyms that could care less about your opinions or your feedback. If you want to go to a gym that makes you feel like you are at home - this is the place for you.

The Den also has personal trainers that can help you achieve your goals! I recently had a session with Jorge, if you are wanting a trainer who is welcoming, supportive and educated to help you reach your goals - highly suggest to reach out. To say that walking was easy two days after our glutes and hamstring session… would be a lie Thank you Jorge!

Fantastic experience: From the perspsctive of a gal who isnt a bodybuilder but loves the community and loves lifting weights- the den is my favkrite gym ever. Off the hop I felt welcome and comfortable at the Den. When I first started working out at there I asked for some demos of equipment I hadn't used before and was promptly helped. This team knows their stuff The front end staff are always polite and helpful, and alongside the coaches they are always professional and seem to have great rapport with clients. The owners put so much heart and intentionality into shaping this space to be something special. The gym-goers are great with gym etiquette. Lots of unique machines to use. As a female I always feel safe here, always feel respected, the machines are awesome, music is on par, and the vibe is immaculate!

I thought it may be a bit intimidating at first but the community is extremely welcoming to all walks of life. The staff are all very knowledgable and helpful. Positive experience: Never worked out here. Saw the rates, and decided to stick to investing in my home gym instead. Got a friend who does, and he is also a serious lifter. There is certainly lots to be said for a gym which facilitates your own needs and goals. I wouldn’t lift at a community gym if I wanted to go crazy. And for general fitness, this or Bullpen might not be a fit. The gym is good, and clean, but for $80 a month I can buy some good equipment for home. I’ll just miss out on the gym culture I love.

Negative experience: Went to Den fitness as I am new to Edmonton, they would not allow me to view the gym without paying a drop in. I paid and looked at the equipment, not my type of gym so I asked for a refund since I didn't workout. They refused and I left a review, since then the owner has harassed me my texting me. Once I responded and said there isn't anything that will make it right he decided to start getting upset and insulting me. Very poor customer service would not recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: One of the coolest gyms i’ve ever been to. An amazing community has grown since it has opened and i’ve met some great people there. They have the most unique equipment which they change out at times. There’s a dedicated posing room, a kitchen and lots of merch and other products for sale ! Atmosphere makes you want to train hard the minute you step foot in the gym. Front desk workers are all very friendly. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend you stop in for a workout and visit.

Fantastic experience: Giving this gym 3 stars- not for the gym itself but just for my experience. The gym is really nice and they have a lot of equipment that other gyms don’t have. The gym has good vibes and the staff are very nice. The reason I’m not giving this place a higher rating is due to the experience I had with their membership. Their policy states you need to cancel 30 days ahead prior to you discontinuing your monthly membership. I gave a written notice to the front desk staff member on December 28 to cancel my membership after January (I have a witness). Though, I got charged again for the monthly membership on Feb 2. They have no number you can contact them at so I had to email them about it. After back and forth conversation they were super broad and just kept saying “it will be handled today” and “should be sorted out for us now” but never specified how I would receive a refund. I asked twice about how I should expect to receive a refund and they never answered my question. And my most recent email to them they never got back to me. I would have just appreciated better communication on their end. I’ll have to call my credit card company and dispute it with them instead. ***UPDATE Changing my review to 5 starts. I was contacted by one of the Managers Dillon regarding this incident and he was super kind and apologetic about the whole situation. I truly appreciate them taking this step to contact me personally and resolving the matter.

Fantastic experience: Best gym I've ever been too. Awesome atmosphere. Great equipment and staff. Shout out to the team for making a sick gym. Only complaint is that there isn't one in calgary. Lol.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to the Den since opening day and I can say without a doubt, it’s impossible to overhype this place. I’ve been to a lot of gyms and none of them can match the Den. The Den owners talk a lot about their huge array of handpicked equipment, things you won’t find almost anywhere else. That’s all true, but, the crazy thing is, after you start coming you realize that’s not even the main thing this gym has to offer. It’s come for the equipment, stay for the environment. The energy of this gym is absolutely unmatched. Everyone comes to work, and there is no judgement, or negative interactions. Total strangers are quick give you a spot when you need it, or answer a question, or just give a word of encouragement! People from all backgrounds, all fitness levels, all experience levels, come together at the Den to get better. I’ve brought friends who thought I must have been over selling the place, now they are planning to cancel their current membership at a box gym and drive 45 minutes every day to call the Den home. There really is no place like it and you can’t know for yourself what all the talk is about until you come by and see the difference firsthand. I live almost an hour away, if it wasn’t absolutely unrivalled, I’d go somewhere closer. But once you try this gym. Everything else is second.

Fantastic experience: Adding to my original review from Sept 2023. I renewed my annual membership at the Den Fitness without hesistation for 2024! Why? Because on top of this being a healthy, inclusive bodybuilding community, nothing beats having premium equipment to train with and on. You will not see Nautilus or Atlantis or custom pieces like the Bryks Fit chest supported T-bar row with multiple adjustments and the amazing pin loaded lateral raise at any big boxgym. I could go on. I left Good Life to come to the Den and having 24/7 back entrance access is exactly what I needed to schedule my training amongst a very busy professional schedule. Proud to call this my home gym!
