Fantastic experience: I've been training with Joel at Shari Fitness for the past month, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! Joel is not only a knowledgeable and skilled coach but also a genuinely nice person who takes the time to understand individual goals. Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Sharif Fitness! The variety of classes they offer is fantastic, and the pricing is really fair for everything they provide. The community is so welcoming and kind. I especially love how they tailor their approach to suit a variety of fitness levels, making everyone feel included. My favorite class is the Bravo Camp Shred Zone with Coach Saurabh – it’s an intense HIIT workout that’s both challenging and fun. I’ve noticed a real improvement in my cardiovascular fitness since joining and have been feeling so great overall. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been doing Ladies’ Muay Thai classes with Shazia for about 4 months now. I absolutely love attending these classes. Shazia is such an amazing coach, she makes sure you’re comfortable, makes you proud of yourself and always gives honest feedback. She’s extremely knowledgeable, she knows what she’s talking about. Her positive energy radiates throughout the whole class making it fun to attend. I always look forward to attending the Muay Thai classes every week. I have also been doing personal training sessions with her. With just 3 months of personal training, I have lost about 5 lbs of weight and feel a lot healthier than before. I have tried to eat healthy and stay fit for a long time but couldn’t do it on my own but Shazia helped me stay motivated and guided me on eating healthy. Even though she’s so busy, she always makes time for her clients and I really appreciate and love that about her. She has a way to make people feel special.

I always loved playing sports for fun but had never spent time inside the gym, or even had much interest in it. But when I went for the free introduction to Sharif Fitness, I knew immediately I was missing out and this was the place to be. Getting into shape is not easy. But it is possible. With Sharif Fitness they provide the confidence and expertise to get it done. Trust the experts! I have been training with Shaz for over 2 years and the results have been amazing on so many levels, it is truly a holistic healing experience. Fantastic experience: I am currently taking personal training sessions with Shazia. She is an excellent coach. I love my sessions and am feeling good after my exercises. She takes her time to explain why I am doing those steps and what muscles are working with that exercise. During the session she also explains about food. Which foods are good and which one to avoid.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been on a lookout for a women’s only boxing classes for weeks and I’ve finally found the one! I cannot express how amazed I am with Shazia! Fantastic experience: Shazia is a great and knowledgeable personal trainer! She took time to understand my health and physical journey, as well as the goals I was looking to achieve. She was honest about the time frame it would take to achieve those goals. She always tailored each sessions in a way that met my needs but also challenged me towards growth. I enjoyed the conversations we had as well! I learned so much about different exercises, equipment, best protein rich food choices and the importance of them for our bodies health. Fantastic experience: I started personal training with both Shaz and Joel in the summer of 2023 to help me curate a workout and to feel comfortable and confident around gym equipment for my upcoming year of study abroad. Knowing this, both Shaz and Joel spend a considerable amount of time explaining why they are having me perform a certain exercise and how to use the equipment. When I went to the gym at my university, I felt prepared and comfortable to just get to work because Shaz and Joel had given me the confidence to take on this challenge. Now, I prefer to train with Shaz and Joel rather than on my own: they challenge me and push me to work harder because they know I can, because they are excellent at noticing one’s potential. Moreover, they love to share their expertise: they help you understand how the workouts they curate affect your body and what muscles they are targeting and why. They also care very much about your over-all health: they take the time to check-in with soreness and to make time in your workout for recovery while also recommending diet (diet here meaning food not a specific, limiting way of eating) options to boost your recovery and strength. Training with Joel and Shaz makes me feel strong and confident. They really take care of you and all they ask is that you show up and be accountable for your training. And if you’re going through difficulties, whether mental, emotional, or training wise, they work with you and go out of their way to accommodate you to ease the stress of showing up to your workout. I look forward to continuing this partnership: Joel and Shaz are incredibly knowledgeable, capable trainers, with excellent integrity who are a testament to their profession!

Fantastic experience: Simply the best decision my wife and I took since landing in Canada. Hats off to Shaz and Joel for guiding us through strength training and cardio and helping us understand the importance of protein and hydration customized to our individual needs. Hi Manjula, I am sorry you feel that. To begin, I would like to thank you kindly for choosing to work with us. I send you peace and love. I wish you all the best for the coming year. Manjula, you and I both know your accusations are meritless. The only time we receive a bad review is when people like yourself could not take advantage of our good nature. People often confuse niceness and humbleness in humans as pushovers who may lack boundaries and intelligence, which we do not. We are not money hungry nor do we rip people off. We are honorable, passionate people with really good hearts who have devoted or lives to improving people's health and wellness. The heavily discounted services you received from us was an excellent example of that. We are a business at the end of the day and have business policies that we require all of our client base to respect. You my friend did not respect those policies. For example, you were in constant contravention of our cancellation and reschedule policies. We have a 3 day grace policy. which means clients can reschedule last moment up to 3 times before they will be required to adhere to our late cancellation/reschedule policy. Even having said that, we are constantly showing more leniency than that as emergencies do happen. However, in our line of business part of our job is holding individuals accountable. Often times people value money more than their health. A cancellation fee unfortunately is the only way to help clients become more accountable. As a small home based business owner yourself it's odd that you didn't respect that. Not showing up constantly to scheduled sessions is deemed a loss in profit and considered a lack of respect towards a business and the individual providing you with a particular service. Again as a service provider it's a shame you didn't see that. You have not been an active client of ours for 2 years. The fact that I'm about to open a new location and you felt now was an appropriate time to post a bad review shows your character. Without getting into any further detail about your personal fitness journey, you never respected our business, our time and our expertise. Anytime you couldn't get what you wanted from us you threatened a bad review. Even after all that has transpired I still have your business cards and flyers at the front entrance of my studio and continue to refer clients to you. Why? Because what ever happened between you and Sharif Fitness Inc. was business not personal. As a WOC I will always support other WOC owned businesses. I hold no ill will towards you. It's just a shame that you exploit small businesses into doing things your way or you threaten a bad review. This is something you are known for here in Durham region and I was warned by other businesses and community members that you do this. If anything my friend, your accusations are a projection of the kind of business you run and the person you are. Our intentions are pure at Sharif Fitness. God is our witness.

Fantastic experience: I joined Sharif Fitness mid April. I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect or if this is for me at the start, but I'm happy I chose an amazing place! I have worked with Shaz & Joel and they are incredible!! They constantly motivate you and connect with you in a personal level to the point to you feel comfortable and enjoy working out. There have been times when I felt super unmotivated but they ensure you're on the right track and keep reminding you of the big picture. I have incorporated kick boxing into my training sessions and its another BEST advice I took from Shaz and Joel. Initially I didn't want to do it, but now I incorporate it in every session. Overall I LOVE working with Shaz and Joel-if you're looking for a personal trainer they are the BEST & ONLY option. You will love it and enjoy every moment of your small or big successes. Fantastic experience: I enlisted Joel to help me prepare to successfully complete a fitness test required for a hiring evaluation. Having engaged with Sharif Fitness 4 years ago when I enrolled for kickboxing, the level of professionalism and warm welcome I received is what motivated me to seek Joel’s help to prepare for the test. At my consultation meeting with him, he actively listened to the test requirements, and checked my level of fitness and strength to assess my readiness for the test. Having a sense of my fitness level and an understanding of what was required for my test, he determined the best training method required for me to succeed. Armed with this knowledge, Joel developed a strategy to strengthen both my mental and physical endurance to help me succeed. Even though I recruited Joel to help me develop my physical strength and endurance, over time I realized that the training was also developing my mental and emotional strength and resilience – instead of being terrified of failing my fitness test, my mentality towards it shifted as I saw and felt my strength and endurance developing. I truly appreciated Joel’s customizations of my training regiment – Joel evaluated my level of fitness, past injuries, and time constraint (we had approximately 6 weeks to develop my cardio endurance and strength) to curate a program designed specifically to help me succeed in the fitness test. Throughout the process Joel was non-judgmental, encouraging, and professional. As I continue training with Joel, I look forward to the challenges he throws my way, and further developing and maintaining my strength and endurance. Fantastic experience: Shaz worked with me last year to help me shed some postpartum weight and increase my overall strength. I was able to lose over 20 pounds with her and was more than happy with my end result. She is highly knowledgeable and knows how to push you in each session to help you get the most out of your workout. Her focus is not just to help you lose weight, it’s to make sure you feel strong, confident and healthy in your body while doing so. Fantastic experience: Shazia worked with me over the past year as my personal trainer providing me with one hour sessions three times a week which not only included working out (lifting weights, and 1:1 Muay Thai) but also nutritional guidance, life advice and support, and helped me get over my fear of working out. Having done the premium personal training sessions, we have now transitioned to Shaz providing me with workouts I can do independently which was my ultimate goal- having not been able to do that before. I sought out Shaz as I wanted a confident woman personal trainer who would help me structure my life and routine which incorporated fitness and healthy living as a lifestyle and not as a fad I would not be able to maintain. Shaz helped build my comfort and confidence around fitness and through her guidance and help I am now stronger. Shaz was able to take my goals and through encouragement was able to show me that I could actually do a lot more than I thought I could. I can now say that I feel fitter and stronger- mentally and physically- than I have before. I am so happy with my decision to work with shaz, I feel transformed. Fantastic experience: Joel and Shaz are excellent trainers that I highly recommend. I am a woman in her 40s who gained weight during COVID and was stuck in a pattern where I would exercise and injure myself and stay sedentary for months. This exacerbated my health issues further. Joel and Shaz curated thoughtful workouts specific to my needs, gave me right guidance during workouts to avoid injuries. It was these small adjustments that made all the difference. They motivated me to eat right foods in the right way. In 2.5 months I have had no injuries and I am so much stronger and graceful. Thank you both.

Fantastic experience: I enrolled with Sharif Fitness about 2 months ago and it has been an amazing experience. Joel is very knowledgeable and plans the workout, quite dynamically, keeping my strengths, weaknesses and goals in mind. She is not only dedicated to change your body but also your mind and this type of coach is needed in the fitness game. Fantastic experience: I've personally wanted to take boxing since I was little. I joined Shaz's Muay Thai for women - and it did not let me down. At first i was a little nervous about joining because I usually have a difficult time getting used to new spaces - but Shaz & the students in the class were very welcoming and made it really comfortable. The class itself is beyond words in my opinion. compact and intense - but worth everything. Shaz is an amazing instructor, always motivating everyone but equally understanding everyone's own pace. But she still will push you to do your very best. The way she takes every class is also different then the class before - she always makes it interesting and interactive. Shaz also is all about empowering women & advocating for women. She is super supportive and understanding that women in the class come from different walks of life - allowing us to feel confident about embracing that part of ourselves This class is definitely a must for anyone who wants to strengthen themselves in a physical and mental aspect, especially women who want to empower themselves - this class really makes you feel more confident., and stronger. I would definitely recommend this class to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending the Sgrol-Ma (Ladies only) classes for almost 2 months now and it’s been amazing so far. Shaz is an awesome coach who uplifts her students/clients through fun anecdotes and positive attitude. During the pandemic, I was extremely sedentary. I struggled to find the right activity that will get me motivated enough to get moving. This Muay Thai class was the perfect choice for me. Since it’s a ladies only class, it’s not as intimidating as other martial arts classes. Also, being around women with similar goals is great. It’s a judgment-free zone and we cheer each other on to keep going and improving. Even though it hasn’t been long, I can already see how much stronger and more energetic I’m becoming. The classes are definite highlights of my week!

Fantastic experience: I joined the beginners Sgrol-Ma Muay Thai class for ladies that Shaz coaches at Southside Muay Thai Academy and it has been absolutely amazing. It is intense and challenging and so freaking hard sometimes, but 100% worth it. Its my current absolute fave work out that I've ever done. She's an awesome coach, supportive and nurturing when that's what you need but also a hard task master who pushes her students constantly towards the betterment of themselves (both mentally and physically). She is an advocate and role model for women everywhere. Plus, as far as I know, it's the only Muay Thai class that is for ladies only and that's a huge draw in for me as a hijabi.

Fantastic experience: I had the wonderful privilege of working with both Shaz and Joel individually in 2019 (pre-COVID) and the experience was amazing! Shaz is very open and understanding, she really does focus on how strong you feel and challenges you to push a little more constantly and adjusting when you run into something you can't quite handle yet and there was never any need to feel ashamed. She'll help you work there and is very supportive of your journey. I find myself still utilizing what she taught me even now and thinking "THAT'S why she had me do this move before." I didn't get to work with Joel as frequently as I did with Shaz but from my experience, Joel had a different style in terms of how the activities and sets are structured. But he is just as supportive and understanding and focuses on making sure you feel stronger at each session. Both were great, however, and it really is up to preference. I think anyone would be in great hands with both or either of them as long as you remain communicative on your goals and limitations. Fantastic experience: After a year of being inactive I felt that i needed a fresh start. Happened to find a groupon coupon and booked inital classes with Joel. I had severe shoulder pain and couldnt lift weights intially. Joel understood my issue quickly and helped me strenghthen my back and shoulder. His style of training(HIIT and Strenght training) fits my needs and I strongly recommend Joel and Sha for their commitment. Joel is a complete professional and has great ideas in tuning workouts based on your needs. I thank them for being so supportive and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I started training with Joel in May 2021 and so far it’s been a great decision. With months of inactivity from working at home, I decided to find my first personal trainer and I got lucky with Joel. His training style aligns with my needs for increasing cardio and muscle strength by teaching me fundamental strength training exercises and providing real-time feedback. I haven’t felt this strong physically and mentally before and it’s because of Joel’s knowledge and positive attitude that enables me to break new ground in my fitness and health. Fantastic experience: I was a part of Shaz group for kickboxing sessions and during my first time with her, it was very welcoming. I did about two months of session and it really changed my lifestyle. Not only physical aspects but I gained more confidence and strength. The sessions were very tiring but worth it because you just feel good after. Also I like that every after sessions, she would share her views about certain important topics about the world news politics regarding female power. Even if im not of the group right now, I highly recommend Shaz and will def come back after pandemic. I still practice the routines at home, shadow boxing exercises etc, I did bought a punching bag. really effective training!

Fantastic experience: I've never had a personal trainer and I'm so glad I came across Shazia. Her training style is truly targeted towards your goals. I have never weight trained before but Shazia taught me proper technique and form. She always made me comfortable and helped build my strength. She is very knowledgable and offers great health advice during and after training. I always felt intimidated at the gym when I would try to lift weights. Shazia helped me overcome that and I have noticed a drastic difference in my overall fitness. I would definitely recommend Shazia!

Fantastic experience: I am a new member with Sharif Fitness (February 2020). I purchased a package through Groupon and have already met with Shaz, had my assessment and my first personal training class with her. She truly knows her fitness!! She was very comfortable to speak with and has an amazing attitude! My first session was tough as I have been out of shape for quite some time but she got me through it!! Everything has been put on hold for now during this global pandemic but I cant wait to go back! I would also like to add that during this time, they have found a way to keep all their members active with their free home sessions which is awesome!

Fantastic experience: I have been working out with Joel @ Sharif fitness since August 2019. Joel is very professional, great communicator, well educated and has a great sense of humor (he actually gets my jokes lol). Session are tough, he pushes me to my limits and beyond (which I didn’t know even existed). He is always on time, which is extremely important as I have competing priorities. I have interviewed many trainers before; I chose Joel as he wasn’t too keen on selling/signing up rather what my needs were and how we could get there. I find he is genuinely concerned about my well being. I came to Shaz fitness after two falls this year. I feel stronger, energized, less stressed and more coordinated. I have lost some weight, which wasn't my original goal. I would recommend Joel 100%. I have uploaded this video to show you how he actually works. He is providing just the right amount of support (usually after two sets you are strong enough to not need extra support). Although I don’t workout with Shaz, but I follow her on Insta and find her posts very motivating with no nonsense approach and good advice to eat right.

Fantastic experience: I'm thoroughly impressed with Joel and Shaz as fitness coaches. I've been training with them for about a month now, twice a week, and I'm seeing more improvement in my muscle tone than I did when training unassisted. Both trainers are make you feel very comfortable and not intimidated, while still remaining friendly, professional, and very motivating. They are very knowledgable about all sorts of training types and techniques, and are always wiling to answer any of my questions even while training. I love that they sometimes give you more time on the floor with them which shows they are dedicated to making sure you get a thorough session, and not make it about what was payed for like other coaches! I would recommend both coaches for training, you will not be disappointed!

Negative experience: I booked a Trial Session with Shaz through the Sharif Fitness website on July 15th after seeing great reviews on Google. When I came in for the trial session, we spent 15 minutes discussing my goals, fitness level, etc and the remaining 45 mins doing a Trial workout session. After the session, we went through payment options and I decided to try the 5 session Groupon deal. I was given the option to pay directly through Groupon or to purchase the Groupon from her using cash; I chose to pay cash, as I was told I wouldn’t have to pay tax. When discussing the Groupon offer, she told me that the Deal includes 5 sessions plus an assessment session to go over my goals, etc. However, since we had already gone over this during the first 15 minutes of the Trial Session, we could use this assessment as an addition training session; thus, 6 personal training sessions in total. I was only in Scarborough until August 22, and asked if we would be able to complete all 6 sessions within this time, she told me yes. My first session was on July 30. It went well, as did Sessions 2-5. I mainly went to learn how to use weights and work out in the gym on my own, which I feel that she did a good job of teaching me these techniques. Finally, on the date of Session 6 she texts me stating that she has an emergency and can’t attend our scheduled appointment and asks if I can attend a session at 9pm. I was completely understanding of the emergency but told her I wouldn’t be able to reschedule for 9pm. She did not respond to that text, offer me any other date, nor offer me compensation for the session she missed. 2 days go by and I decide to ask her to reimburse me for that 1 Session. No response. I sent a second message 4 hours later to which she responded that “There is nothing you paid for that you didn’t receive”, and the 6th session was “complimentary”. This is false. As per the Groupon advertisement, I was entitled to 5 personal training session IN ADDITION TO a fitness assessment session, which she suggested we use as an addition training session instead. She now claims the 6th session was “complimentary” when our texts clearly show that we agreed upon 6 sessions from the beginning. Even if we had agreed to 5 sessions, I’m still entitled to a “fitness assessment” session, which I did not receive. Our sessions were good, I felt challenged and I learned how to perform exercises with proper form; however, based on her business practices I would not recommend Shaz as a trainer. If you do choose to book with her, I would advise you to book directly through Groupon instead so that you can contact their customer service if need be. Overall, the training sessions with Shaz were enjoyable and I learned a lot; however, I cannot recommend someone who does not stand by their word.

Hey Kasia, thank for your sharing your experience. However, I'm sorry to hear you had a less than stellar experience. At Sharif Fitness, we pride ourselves on our customer service. I apologize if you feel you were treated unjustly. I feel there has been some miscommunication between you and I. Please allow me to explain. The first time you and I met was during a trial session which you booked online. The trial session is complimentary. You had expressed that you initially booked the trial session because you were interested in taking advantage of my groupon promotion. You also had voiced you were in Scarborough for a short period of time and then returning back to Brampton afterwards. I suggested that if time was of the essence, and you already knew you wanted to do the groupon that we go ahead with the assessment that day. I did not want you to feel like you were getting duped out of your complimentary trial session so I suggested that we tack it to the end of your training. I suggested this because since you had a short time here with me I felt it might be more beneficial to take that trial session at the end that way you get more out of the session, having had 5 sessions under your belt. This was an exception I made out of niceness. I did not benefit financially from this arrangement. On the 6th day of your session, my family suffered a tragic loss. I notified you as soon as possible and offered to see you later that day. I apologize if you feel you were not responded to in a timely manner. I have not returned to work since that day as I have been dealing with this very severe tragedy that has struck my family. Today is my first day back at work. Hence, me responding to this today. I feel you have misquoted me “There is nothing you paid for that you didn’t receive”. There were words shared before and after that comment. I really do not wish to get into a sort of I said, you said battle, as I really enjoyed working with you and I wish you the best of luck with your health and fitness! However, what I would like to take the time to clarify is that you did have an assessment that first day. I did conduct all the physical evaluations that I conduct during each and every assessment, in addition to such I also gave you a mini workout as well as the assessment. The "6th", session was in fact the original trial session you booked on line. Therefore, had no dollar value. I did not feel a refund was viable. I did however suggest you still have a 6th session that can be used. I also offered to keep that session on file with no expiry date what so ever. This way anytime you came back to Scarborough you could schedule your "6th", session with me. At Sharif Fitness we want clients to take advantage of their sessions to learn and experience as much as they can. Existing Sharif Fitness clients are not eligible for a trial session. After completing the 5 sessions technically you would no longer be considered a new client. Holding on to that 6th session would have worked out in your benefit as you could work on everything that I had taught you thus far, whenever you could return to my studio I would be able to go over any concerns you may have had with your training and offer modifications to your existing program to progress you forward with your goals. I may have misunderstood, I didn't realize you would never be able to come back Scarborough. I apologize for that. I have been in business for years, I am very accommodating. If you would have missed a session with me, you would have not been charged or expected to pay for the session. Life is unpredictable, we can plan as much as want, things happen. If you had continued training with me, you would have come to see that. Having said that, my communication could have been better, as stated earlier though, I was dealing with a serious family matter. On that note only, I have refunded you the dollar value of the the assessment you claim you did not receive. Please check your email

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training with Shaz and Joel for few weeks now, and I honestly believe they are one of the most experienced & committed trainers around. I started training twice a week, really enjoyed the variety & challenge they put into the personal one-on-one session. Joel is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging & fun. My fitness has increased noticeably and I’ve seen improvements in my ability to complete more sit ups / core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights & generally push myself harder throughout each session in a very short period of time. Importantly he ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries. I find I actually look forward to my workouts. I aim to continue to training and maintain a good level of fitness with their help for a long time to come.

Fantastic experience: Just started a few weeks ago for Kickboxing with a trial and have signed up for monthly classes. ! Shaz is a great instructor and is always there to help each member of the group develop the proper form and technique. Fantastic experience: I loved the kickboxing classes offered at Sharif Fitness. Shazia is such a positive, encouraging coach and creates a welcoming atmosphere for people of all skill levels. Her approach is individualized so that women of different experience levels can participate in the same class. What I admire about Coach Shazia is her attempts to change the way women view themselves in an athletic scenario. If you're having trouble with a move and say you're "struggling," she'll correct you and say you're "learning." She's an extremely positive person and I look forward to taking more classes with her.

Fantastic experience: shaz is my first personal trainer and will most likely be my last- because I intend to work with her forever! working with her at sharif fitness has all the benefits of going to a traditional gym, without the intimidation factor. it's great to work with someone who caters workouts specifically to your goals and body type. her training methods extend to outside of the gym as she will check in on your health and eating habits. In my short time with shaz i've noticed a complete difference in my personal and mental health and I couldn't be happier

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Shaz for the past 2 years. Like most people, I was unmotivated and shy to go to the gym. The fitness world is dominated by male trainers. It is hard to find a female trainer who will view your goals as their own and encourage you throughout your entire fitness regime. One of the main factors that drew me to Shaz was her perception of physical and mental health. Shaz taught me that being healthy involved more than just your physical appearance. It was being confident with whom you are as a person first and about loving your self and your body. After signing up with Shaz,I saw amazing results. Within my first 2 months of training I lost 12 pounds. It wasn't about just losing weight. It was about me gaining strength, and feeling confident in my own skin. After 2 months of training I found out I was pregnant! Growing up; I was taught that pregnant women should not participate in physical activity like exercise, especially in the first trimester. I was in a dilemma because my husband and I had been trying to conceive for some time and now that I finally got pregnant; did this mean I had to give my fitness goals?I of coarse shared the news of my pregnancy to Shaz, along with my concerns. Shaz was very understanding and reassured me that since I was working out well before I got pregnant, it was completely safe for me to continue training through the duration of my pregnancy. Shazia has a great deal of experience doing pre and post natal training. My obstetrician echoed the same sentiments. Had I not made the decision to continue training, I do not think I would have delivered my son in 30 mins. I trained with Shaz through my entire pregnancy. She is very experienced in pre and post natal training. She was very cautious with my training and modified my exercise routines according to my health and made my sessions challenging and fun. I gained only 28 pounds through my entire pregnancy. She helped me maintain a good level of fitness and boosted that pregnancy glow. I am so glad that I made the decision to train with Shaz throughout my pregnancy because bouncing back to the fitness world postpartum was more smoother yet was not an easy task since I had a newborn to look after now.I resumed training 2 months postpartum and it was difficult. My body had just delivered a baby and I was hard on myself. Instead of pounding me to work out harder; Shaz was very patient and encouraging. She did not make me feel intimidated. Instead, she would remind me that my body had just gone through trauma and I should be appreciative since I went on to delivering a miracle. As time progressed; my fitness has increased noticeably and I've seen improvements in my ability to complete more core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights and generally push myself harder throughout each session. There are times that I wake up in the morning and feel like calling in sick but when I see Shaz I feel better at the end of my workouts and look forward to the day. Shaz always motivates me and says there are always good and bad days in the world of fitness, but what matters is that it is better to have a bad workout day than not working out at all. Being a mom and maintaining a good level of Fitness is hard because it requires consistency. Things always come up when you're a mother and not every trainer understands that. Shaz is also a mom and she understands what every mom goes through and I can easily relate to her which makes my workout sessions more comforting yet also entertaining.I still have a long way to go in order to achieve my level of fitness and yes it is an investment but totally an investment that's worth it especially if you have a trainer like Shaz. I find that personal one-on-one training is better since you have someone that will help you to improve your technique and form and in order to achieve results faster technique and form is essential. if you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable; understanding and passionate about Fitness, Shaz is definitely the trainer I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Shazia for the past few years. There is a whole lot I can say about Shazia. She has an amazing soul. Her kind and humble spirit is genuine. She is wise, mature and extremely knowledgeable. Working with Shazia one can almost immediately recognize she is not your run of the mill personal trainer. I can't even call her a personal trainer, because her talents far exceed counting reps and using anatomical words to describe fancy movements that have no real effect on any one person's personal fitness goals. Shazia destroys every negative stereotype of a personal trainer. Most refreshing, is that she does not have an ego. She does not make people feel she is better than them. You will never feel ashamed, humiliated or disrespected in her presence. Instead, she will enable you to feel confident, strong and healthy. Her aura is uplifting. She makes people feel good about themselves. She brims with positivity. You will never find her rambling on and on about her fitness achievements, her physique etc, etc. She is very modest about her physique. You will never catch her posing in the studio mirrors while training her clients. She does not respond to texts and phone calls while training her clients. Her eyes are on you. She is client focused. Results oriented.She understands the physiology of the body, bio-mechanics, posture, muscle building, fat loss, nutrition, sports psychology, popular culture and body image. Her programs are designed specific to your body and your fitness goals and she explains what you are doing, why you are doing it and how its going to get you to your personal fitness goals. You will never hear of Shazia's clients getting injured or doing anything that would be a risk to their health or safety. She does not make false claims or guarantees to gain clients. She will tell you what you need to hear as opposed to what you want to hear just so she can make money. Shazia is a very versatile trainer. This is evident from her client base. Her clients cross the spectrum of age, gender, ethnicity and physicality. Shazia is the owner of Sharif Fitness and one of the founding trainers at Fitness Distinction. Like most gyms and studios, Fitness Distinction is dominated by male trainers. Yet, Shazia IS Fitness Distinction's Premiere Trainer. I should know, I have been training with her before all the other trainers got there. I often find them trying to mimic her training style, using similar language and training techniques with a touch of feminism which is kind of cute. I guess they feel the need to because I often see their clients watching Shazia train her clients during their own training sessions! Overall, I have made remarkable progress training with Shazia throughout the past couple of years. I didn't just loose weight, I lost fat, gained muscle, confidence and a new take on life! I continued training with Shazia even after all this time, because she consistently motivates me and teaches me new things. Most of all I have gained a lifelong friend! Awesome work Shaz!!!
