Fantastic experience: I really like the St.James location: I used to be an AF member of a different location (Charleswood) where I had a negative interaction with a rude member, so I needed to find another location. Im so thankful for the AF St.James location being just a few minutes away from work. So far everyone who attends has been respectful, and that is something my last gym lacked. (More equipment here as well)

Fantastic experience: I am not going to review bomb this place because that doesn’t really help as I enjoyed the gym prior it closing for moving and renovations. I only wish that there was a bit more transparency as to what was going on, why it happened and why it took so long to course correct to a new contractor. I understand that businesses can take time, however having open communication would have really helped in this case. I hope that the gym reopens soon as I have driven by a couple times and it’s still papered up. Edit: They're back up and running. It was a great workout in the morning, though a little muggy in there (guess the AC isn't on yet). Felt good to have a gym only 3-4 mins away from home. Can't wait to get my routine back up and running!

Fantastic experience: Sean was very easy to communicate with and the gym was well taken care of for the duration of my membership.

Negative experience: Worst experience I've had with a gym by far. Signed up for a membership with specific expectations set by the owners regarding the move, and now 3/4 of my membership has been spent waiting for them to reopen, it will lapse before this occurs. At this rate, I'm just waiting for them to stop taking money for services they aren't rendering. Update: when I signed up, was very clear that I'd be walking to the facility and that was why I was signing up. Pointing out I've managed to score rides to other facilities a handful of times still doesn't help and is a weird thing to post online in response to this for a business. Another update: months later, and they are still not open. Only public communication has been through Instagram, where every date is blown past, and usually comments disabled. It's almost like they know this behavior is unacceptable for a business. After all that time, they have now disabled their Instagram entirely and have people posting here about how nice a gym no one can see is... I really hope no one is still paying.

Negative experience: Are they going to open? Tried contacting them but didn’t receive any response. I’ve been to the new location several times just to check if they’ve opened yet. And from there got to know about their Instagram page. Saw some posts about the delay in the opening and from last few days can’t even find their Instagram handle.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym regularly for close to a year now, and have really enjoyed it! Lots of equipment, well-maintained, with friendly staff and members. It doesn't feel overcrowded like many other gyms I have been to. I am also looking forward to seeing how things are when they move locations!

Fantastic experience: My brother and I frequent this gym 6 days a week. We love it here, the staff are friendly, people are very kind and welcoming. It is slightly smaller then what some anticipate, however it seems perfectly sized for the amount of clientele you usually encounter during your visits. Staff are willing to help you on any fitness venture you my wish to partake in. 10/10 for sure. Update •they are moving to a new location, apparently bigger and better•

Fantastic experience: Great place to get your grind on!

Negative experience: Wanted to be a member of this gym but it does not seem to be staffed. Called yesterday 3 times and twice today but no answer. Even left a voicemail yesterday. I also went there today but the doors are closed and a note says to call if door is closed but nobody ever picks up, i saw a few people inside too. Guess i'll be going to a different gym.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this gym. Been going for years and have no plans on stopping.

Positive experience: Great location and the staff nice and helpful. Lots of parking and after the workout there are McDonald's and Subway right next door.

Fantastic experience: The New Gym is Amazing! Lots of room & is set up well! BEAUTIFUL!Very friendly staff. They keep the place very clean. Vaughn is an excellent trainer. Customers are like family here. You can ask them any type of question regarding fitness.

Fantastic experience: In the past I would never think to leave a review about an experience I've had, good or bad about a business. But since training at Anytime Fitness on Ness this must be said... From the moment I walked in the door I've never felt like I was just a member. The new owners really make the members feel valued and part of a community. Those 2 guys work so hard making sure everyone's needs are met. I have yet to leave that gym without them asking me how I'm doing. The gym is very clean and the equipment is nice. Keep up the good work guys. Always looking forward to my next workout.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent location with new, well-maintained equipment. Sean (the owner) dishes out top notch customer service as well. If you’re in Winnipeg looking for the right spot to workout this is it.

Fantastic experience: This gym is a bit on the small side, it's not usually very busy so there there are always machines available. I dont like that there isn't a locker room, just some bathrooms to change in which is a bit inconvenient. The lockers they do have are really small and my gym bag wont fit so I can't lock it up which makes me uncomfortable as I have to leave all my personal belongings in a cubby near the door. Overall I am happy with this gym as it is well run and so far I am being treated a lot better then my previous gym and I can workout in peace whenever I want.

Fantastic experience: The facility has everything I need in terms of training equipment. Fresh clean towels and spray bottles are always available. V has been very helpful and takes the time to know each memeber.

Positive experience: The gym is very clean. Freah cloths/towels to wipe down equipment are available at all times, and the washrooms are clean. Staff and management are friendly and knowledgeable. Gym members that I spoke with were courteous and respectful or mindful of others.

Fantastic experience: Really nice representation of the Anytime Fitness franchise. They managed to pack a lot of machines into a relatively small area without making it feel cramped. Spacious bathrooms also. Was happy to drop in here during my travels.

Positive experience: This location has a lot of cardio machines, free weights, and a full core circuit. The only complaint would be there's no bottle filler and it's hard to fill bottles in the fountain

Negative experience: The website as well as the sign on the window says they're staffed until 7pm. I came here at 6:45 hoping to speak to someone about membership. No staff members were present and the office was closed. Going to the Y instead.
