Fantastic experience: Signed up for a membership today and was helped by a lovely individual named Iris. Extremely personable and helpful with the entire process.
Fantastic experience: Clean, very friendly staff and you can't bit the price!
Positive experience: Great staff (especially Mason and Jonathon), great gym. One VERY STRONG suggestion: We need another Pec Fly/Rear Delt machine. See photos. There are many more cardio machines than are ever used while this one pec machine always has a lineup!! I had to ask the gentleman who was using it to move for a second so that I could take the photo. Same story in both of your gyms that I have utilized.
Fantastic experience: I love this place! The staff members are so friendly - and the manager Teejay is my favourite employee to see when I’m there! She is incredibly helpful and always puts time and effort in to find solutions to quickly resolve any concerns (even small ones) that may come up. Even on days when they might be short staffed, they are very quick to act any time I’ve brought up any concerns. I just walk over and have a quick chat to let them know what I’ve noticed, and they immediately fix it. I feel at home here, and the staff are like family! Thanks for making this gym such a great place to be!
Negative experience: I’ve had a membership at this gym for nearly a year now. And for the past 6 months the filter on the water fountain has not been replaced. The manager is aware of it as it’s been addressed multiple times and yet nothing improves. Additionally more and more equipment seems to be breaking and just left with a sign on it. Really really poor management.
Fantastic experience: Amazing space to pump some iron.
Negative experience: This company is an absolute nightmare to deal with when trying to cancel your membership. You can only cancel when a manager is in which is dumb. We came in 3 times to cancel and the one employee Theo told us that our membership was cancelled when it was in fact not and we got charged another month. Then when we tried to get a refund they kept saying "corporate is revieing it". I kept following up with them but then eventually stopped getting responses from them. If your planning on only going for a short time then canceling its probably not worth your time to go here. There are multiple other revies saying its been a nightmare for them to cancel as well.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the gym for a few months now and absolutely love it. The staff seems amazing and I believe a huge thank you must go out to Eden and Mason!!!! They are the front people when you walk into the gym early mornings and are always friendly and welcoming. I have had lots or questions about the equipment on the floor and they have bent over backwards to help. Word of mouth is a good way to advertise any business and having good staff is key! Positive experience: Would really appreciate it if staff could be more diligent in making sure people remove their wet slushy shoes before walking all over the gym. Why do I even bother taking mine off anymore when all I get is soaked socks on my way to the change room or dirty gym shoes that I've never worn outside? I get it if you don't want to leave your shoes at the front entrance, but still take them off. Yesterday, someone intentionally wiped off all the mud on their shoes on the men's changeroom floor. All that grime just ends up tracking to all the equipment and makes working out here much less enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout and get in shape. Lot's of good variety of equipment. What adds to the gym experience and atmosphere is the staff are awesome! Alma and Mason are 2 perfect examples of great service and true friendly communication:) I have been working out here since the doors opened last November 2023. If you are looking for a new and affordable and clean place to workout and get to know the staff and members this location and the place for you;) 1 star reviews are not accurate and would pay no attention to them;) P.S Google can remove them just to let you know;)

Positive experience: I have been coming here for about a year now, when I first started I loved it because they had great tanning beds! But they haven’t changed the bulbs since I started there, I have asked about bulb change multiple times as well as notified the staff of there being bulbs out in the beds and nothing has been done about it. The staff are great and I feel bad that they are the ones who have to get an earful about the issues. Other then that the gym itself is great, lots of equipment just getting too busy lately

Fantastic experience: Kyle, Eden, and Mason are solid dudes. Make my whole planet fitness experience extremely enjoyable. They are always accommodating and willing to offer a helping hand. Kyle (who happens to be a personal trainer) is always willing to go outside his role to help me find an exercise that will help me when I am lost! A lot of love for Kyle!

Negative experience: Shady Billing has over billed me and ignores my complaints. I was in Canada for 2 months and asked if if that was a problem- they assured me its easy to just cancel when Im done. 29/ m and all seemed well..... then on my last day i went to the counter to cancel,,,,the lady didnt know how and said she would need her manager in later to handle it. Cool thanks.....but it never happened....billed again , i called , left messages and no call back. billed again... i had a local friend go in and get an email address- I emailed and was told i had to go back to CANADA IN PERSON to cancel...a gym membership---sorry thats our rules they said. Moving on, i got a hold of a "manager" who said i just need to pay another $80 and he can cancel it I said you already took 3 more payments you owe me that anyway... he refused unless I paid first. I gave up after that, forgot until i saw it was still on my VISA, 3 more charges again now, but since talking to that manager the bill went to $46! so now i leave this review and order a new credit card. assuming they successfully stole a few hundred from me and that my loss. MIdnapore Calgary location.

Negative experience: Planet Fitness is an absolute scam! I went in on Sept 12 to cancel my membership, and they emailed me a confirmation that my access would end on Sept 17. Great, right? Wrong. On Sept 17, they sneakily charged me for another month — AFTER they’d cut off my access to the gym! When I called to ask why they were still charging me when I couldn’t even use the place, I was told I didn’t give 7 days' notice. Seriously?! Then why end my access on the 17th if you’re still going to take my money? This gym hides behind shady, unclear policies just to squeeze extra cash out of people. They are more interested in your bank account than your fitness. If you’re thinking of signing up, BE WARNED: they will take your money with no intention of providing any service. Absolute joke of a company. Stay FAR AWAY from Planet Fitness unless you enjoy being ripped off!

Negative experience: I couldn’t try it out. They require 23 bucks for a day pass. Although it’s written on the website that you can try it for free. Seems like the manager particularly advised their employees to not offer a free day pass.

Negative experience: The worst place for gym ,it’s scam and fraud , my son gets a membership with them and they told him that he monthly fee is $15 and I found out that they withdraw more than $30 from my credit card every month !!!….. Please watch and check your credit card account especially this days….

Fantastic experience: Gym, in general- 5 stars. Clean, spacious, very nice staff ( Alma and Jessica - thank you for being such a nice smiling faces always happy to help ) But there are some things still missing. It will be very nice to have a bench or at least some hooks for your stuff in the shower area. An extra Pec fly/rear deltoid machine wouldn't hurt, also some mirrors in the functional workout area. Not sure about 30min workout room - always empty, it could be used for something else.

Positive experience: This is my first time being in my home gym, and I’m not disappointed by the staff, although I am by the fact that there’s no mirrors in the functional training section but if it wasn’t for that you’d get five stars. Very grateful for the staff members that work there especially Theo who greeted me with a smile and made sure that I knew where everything was and let me know that I’ve had any questions I can come and ask, made me feel very welcome. Positive experience: I really like this gym. Great staff, good value, and a non-judgemental atmosphere. That being said, I’m not at all a fan of the free membership for teenagers. Not only is the gym now significantly busier, but unfortunately many of these kids spend time messing around. On multiple occasions I’ve seen kids pushing eachother into walls, fooling around with the equipment, not wiping down machines, or just sitting on the machine on their phone. Of course, some are very respectful and use the facility properly but this place really does feel like a high school gym now. I’d hope staff will be more strict with these kids following expectations or revoke their membership. Hoping this will get better in September. Otherwise, the gym has a pretty good selection of equipment. Will occasionally have to wait for a bench or particular machine. But there is plenty of cardio. This is certainly a gym for beginners and there are no bench presses, for example. So, this would be a five star review if it weren’t for the gym being overtaken by teenagers lately. I’d also really like to see an additional pec fly machine, and the 30 minute area used for something else as it’s ALWAYS empty and seems like a waste of space. Additionally, this gym does not offer any classes.

Fantastic experience: The staff when I go to the gym is always great to see; Jessica, Mckayla and Kayley (sorry if I misspelt names) they are always so friendly and welcoming. Some of the previous staff was great too, sad to see Karen leave. Some of the staff was the reason why I chose Planet Fitness. I always see them cleaning and greeting guests. I see the recent comment of “staff screaming at a guest” for using the CLOSED showers. I have never seen this happen and majority of the staff is very quiet and non confrontational in that sense. They have always been so polite. Thank you!

Positive experience: Great gym when it's open, but I just arrived to start my workout and they have a sign saying closed until further notice. No warning or anything posted on their website

Negative experience: Place was closed due to water break, but no notice was put out. The app also said place was open. Had to drive all the way just to go back home again. Not professional. Atleast let your customers know before hand.

Negative experience: We have been driven away from this location because of the abusive nature of the staff whom screamed at my friend because she was using the shower this is the only location Which strictly enforces the water restriction which has been reduced at all other location it is the only gym in Calgary which still enforces strict water restriction to the point where the staff are quite abusive.

Fantastic experience: Hi all. The first time I walked in, a girl served me. I made a tour of the hall and then came home to make an online card, but it didn’t work out for me. In the morning I went to them and there it was again a girl and approached her again for help. Her name is Mikayln, so she really helped create this card. The system did not accept my bank card and so she helped me with this and everything worked out and I even went and tried a massage. Guys, honestly, I am grateful to her. Fantastic experience: Nice place to workout and let the stress of the day melt away! Speaking of stress reduction, they have massage chairs to enjoy after a workout. The facilities are clean and tidy and the equipment looks new and in great shape. The black card membership allows you to bring a guest as many times as you wish! So, almost like having a 2 for 1 membership for couples! Thank you Planet Fitness for maintaining such a nice gym and safe space for us to workout in ... and the no-judgement environment!

Positive experience: Good but nowadays high school kids are coming. The reason i left YMCA and came to this gym is because of these kids bad mouthing and using gym as a bedroom with their gf....Complained to the management with no use.No respect for women of other culture..... Now these kids are coming to PF. Hope this place wont turn into a nightmare with these horrible teens.....if PF allows adult times, its much appreciated and school kids only at a certain time.

Negative experience: My wife and I are searching for a new gym as we recently moved to the area. We were so excited to see a brand new PF open up within minutes of our home! Unfortunately your strange policy of allowing (even encouraging) Men to use Women’s change & shower facilities is a deal breaker for us. My wife does not feel comfortable or safe in your environment…as we believe most women would agree. Common sense would dictate this- although for some reason it’s passed over PF’s head.

Fantastic experience: Great place for a workout , plus you get use of the red light therapy and massage/tanning what a great deal. The gym is always clean and the staff I find are always very accommodating and do a great job of remembering clients names! Karen goes above and beyond with any questions or needs. I however would like to see the gym open to 11pm 7 days a week.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this location. Despite my multiple attempts to cancel my membership before the opening, they not only failed to do so but also charged me for both annual and monthly fees. This has caused significant financial damage, and their lack of responsibility in resolving the issue is unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: I went for the first time last night and it was great. There is multiples of pretty much every machine, lots of space, very clean and inviting environment. I'm a black card member, but wasn't sure about what was offered in the Black Card Spa. The staff was very friendly and offered to show me around and explained how everything worked. I look forward to continuing to come here and get back to the gym regularly (and use the hydromassage and red light therapy!).

Positive experience: Just joined - lots of new machines, not so busy so far, hydro massage and massage chairs are a great reward at the end of a work out! Certain pain points have been mentioned by others - - but when I checked out this 'Total Body Enhancement' machine, discovered that the ceiling panel above it is missing. In a space where one can be without clothing, why would anyone leave a ceiling panel wide open? I mentioned it to 2 staff on different days, and neither cared at all. If the owner ever wonders why no one is using that (presumably) expensive machine, perhaps consider simply sliding the panel back in place. Easy peasy. Comfort and confidence restored!

Positive experience: I love Planet Fitness, it's great for a beginner, like me. However there are a few things I think they could improve: 1. The shower temperature is quite cold. It would be amazing to have a warm shower after a good workout. 2. Instead of closing at 9pm on the weekend, close at 11pm everyday. I would give this gym ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if these were addressed.

Fantastic experience: Staff is very pleasant, machines are nice and new and it is so so cheap… deserves a 5 star for this. Planet fitness is a massive chain, but the pricing is so competitive that I can’t think of going anywhere else. If you need to use barbells or you are more of a powerlifter I don’t recommend. If you are happy with using weight machines, dumbbells and cardio equipment, this is a great place to workout.

Fantastic experience: Recently decided to check out the Midnapore PF and wasn't disappointed. Plenty of weight machines, free weights, cardio and other work out gear. Good atmosphere and staff and the price is very reasonable. Still some new facility growing pains, i.e. need benches/seating in change room and cleaning solution/paper towels are scattered around the facility. Update Mar.19/24 - paper towel dispensers and change room benches were recently added.

I wish they would mount the paper towels and spray bottles they are just lying on the floor everywhere. And locker room needs some benches. I believe they are still working on finishing things up but it seems like these are quick fixes they could implement. Assume these items will eventually be addressed.

Positive experience: I have enjoyed this facility but I have a few suggestions for the owners for improvements, the water temperature in the showers is not very warm and there needs to be benches in the locker room area.

Negative experience: Was asking for personal training since day 1. Was told that trainer will contact you and nobody did. It's week 3 and I am still asking them but no response. I am a black card holder.

Fantastic experience: Great having a gym back in Midnapore! Really good sized facility with everything you'd need in a gym aside from Barbells. But for the price, it's a great value.

Positive experience: It's a planet fitness gym with all the typical amenities. I do have 4 opportunities for improvement for the owner in order of most important to least important: 1. Install benches into the change rooms 2. The shower water tends to be on the cooler side, if there is a possibility to increase the shower temps that would be great! 3. Install paper towel dispensers instead of using the vertical metal stands on the floor 4. Please have tissues in the bathroom and/or in the workout area to use as facial tissue Otherwise it's my go to gym and the staff are great!

Negative experience: I will give you 5 stars when you are open until 11pm every day. Very inconvenient for everyone if you close early on friday and saturday!

Negative experience: Was informed gym would be open Nov 13. Completely understand renos can take longer & hiccups can occur - have the decency/respect to inform your potential & current clients of the delay. I will not be paying for my Nov membership, even if they are open in Nov, as they should be compensating their clients.
Negative experience: Purchased a membership online - showed up to workout after the official opening date to find they were still under construction, but received no communication about it. :(
